I've been a loyal customer, and yes, no denying the expense (but there are packages to help), I can tell you that I have pets, garden, wash my hands regularly (you should too) and am not always forgiving with my nails. I've gone to over half a dozen facial spots in Tribeca and this is one of the absolute best. I have sensitive, acne-prone skin and no matter what my face looks like going in that day, I always leave glowing. The Biologique Recherche products really make a difference and they are extremely generous about using them here. Helen is fantastic -- she goes out of her way to make sure you feel relaxed throughout the whole facial. I can't count how many times I've been to other businesses where the esthetician will apply a mask to my face and leave the room for 10-15 mins while it dries. Helen gave me incredible massages and a hand mask that I didn't even know my skin needed so badly. The space itself is modern and comfortable, although the room is a bit cramped -- but the quality of the service makes up for it. Definitely recommend. read more

If you want to waste your time this is the right place. This salon is known for russian style mani and all technicians are Russian and Ukranian, I've been told. I was very happy to hear this because it's hard to find it in a city. I came in time for an appointment booked with technitian Daria, but was asked to wait a bit. After an hour (!!!) wait I've noticed that Daria is working on another lady, who was a walk in customer and came at the salon same time as me. So, walk-in got a priority service over clients with appointment!!! I approached receptionist to find out how more long should I wait. Amazing experience! I got a gel pedicure with Lena and her attention to detail cannot be beat. The salon has a very relaxing vibe, everything is super clean, they use new tools for each person, and the music is calming. My pedicure was in its own room with a curtain which made it more relaxing. The staff is also so kind and truly cares about your experience - Emma was amazing! My feet have never looked better and my calluses are completely gone which rarely happens after pedicures for me. Can't wait to come back! read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND. I typically never leave reviews but I feel very compelled to write this. I paid for a 2 hour Russian gel manicure that cost me $115 and I left a 20% tip. I usually never pay this much just for a manicure alone however, it was the holidays and I wanted to treat myself... what a mistake! The following day multiple of the gel manicures were completely peeling off my nails. I called the salon to see what they could do and was met with a pretty bad attitude from the lady at the front desk. I was unable to go in that day (it was they day before xmas eve) and was told that would be my only option to come in. The next day, THREE other nails peeled off... I ended up going to a local salon near my house to get them fixed- Costing me more money and more of my time. I emailed customer service about my experience and got no response. I followed up again, and nothing. For the amount of money this salon charges, this is beyond unacceptable. For someone as myself that works in customer service, this is beyond unprofessional and downright rude. For anyone reading this who cares about their hard earned money, save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. Period. There are plenty of other salons in the city that take proper care of their clients. So so disappointing. read more

Great nail spa with a great atmosphere and decor. The nail techs are top in their craft and pay such attention and detail. Dont expect to come here for your normal quick mani and pedi as they specialize in russian manicures, which take a lot more time and attention to detail, instead set time aside to experience top tier nail work. I get endless compliments on my nails and dont think I can ever go back to a standard manicure &pedicure. read more

Horrible policies and customer service - I tore my ACL the day of my appointment and when I called to try to cancel or at least reschedule, I was given such a hard time despite having been a client of Gilded Ritual for almost a year without any last minute cancellation. I tried explaining that this was an emergency and asked if there was any way I could reschedule for another time. They initially told me no they could not reschedule and that their "system" would "automatically" charge me for the full service if I was unable to come in for my scheduled appointment time. After some back and forth as I explained the details of my situation and that I was a frequent customer they were somehow able to waive the "automatic charge" but said all they could do was push my appointment back one day which meant I had to come in on crutches and a brace or be charged the full service (nearly $150) for a no show. I ended up coming in on crutches a day after my ACL tear bc I needed the manicure and didn't want to waste the money. I was barely offered any assistance and no special accommodation and sat uncomfortably for the full service. After my manicure (which was good), I expressed my disappointment in the cancellation policy to the girl at the front desk - I understand maybe charging a fee for late cancellations, but charging for the full service even if it means forcing long-time customers to come in on crutches instead of offering a one time accommodation in the event of an emergency is insane to me. She pretty much ignored my complaint entirely and did nothing to make up for the situation. Even a verbal apology would have been nice but she literally could not have cared less. After coming here for so long and spending so much money here (the services are not cheap) I will not be returning. read more

I wanted to love it here but I've had unfortunate experiences. My first time I got a Russian manicure (4.5 hrs). Soon after I had warts on a few fingers, which I've never had and remembered they didn't wear gloves and she cut a cuticle. I told them, they did nothing. I decided to go back and had two great experiences with inna. I moved out of the city so I wanted my gel off and paid $174 for removal, mani pedi and tip... it took hours...all of my nails are different shapes, manicurist broke two nails and just left it then polished over it, polish cracking, chipping and peeling day after. Toes took an hour to dry and still smudged then peeled a day later. No response from them. read more

Amazing! I have very dry skin and a habit of picking my cuticles. Olga cleaned everything up and encouraged me to moisturize and take care of my nails better. I normally am not one to like pushing product, but in this case, I need it and hopefully makes my $120 gel manicure last 3+ weeks! This is my first time writing a Yelp review for any business. I had a russian manicure at Gilded Ritual before a trip where I suspected I was going to get engaged. I splurged on the russian mani for $100 + tip. I spent two hours at the salon and was assured my nails would last three weeks. The gel started to peel that night and by the next day most of the gel had peeled off both hands. I had a flight the next morning to Florida so I ended up having to get my nails redone at a salon in Florida (where I ended up getting engaged a few days later). I contacted Gilded Ritual when I got home and all I was offered was a free nail service as a "one time courtesy". I will not be returning to this salon. read more

Easily the worst salon customer service I have experienced in my 8 years living in Manhattan. I received a $150 russian manicure that is supposed to last a month. Not only did all of my nails come off within a week, the manager had the audacity to tell me that the nail tech knew this wasn't suitable for my nails and that this would happen, and only offered me a small discount toward my next service versus fixing the issue and repairing my nails. It would have been a. 5 star review except for the pedicure was quite uncomfortable. The seating is not normal seating so you have to kind of hold your legs.
