They do a decent job diagnosing issues with computers. I have taken two desk tops up there, my daughters and my neighbors. Although they can diagnose issues, when they found a virus on my daughters they couldn't clean it off because they didn't have a program to do it. On my neighbors computer, she said she only used it for basic tasks but while they couldn't anything wrong with it beyond being slow because it was old, the guy there helping us said they could build her a custom one from scratch for about fifteen hundred bucks which would be great for gaming. She was there with me at the time and said she's in her seventies and doesn't game, so she doesn't need anything more than being able to pay bills online. He said but it's a deal because she can upgrade it as needed. I suggested she just get a basic laptop from Costco for a quarter the cost. Update: The local district manager reached out to me after I wrote my review this morning. He expressed concern over my review and we discussed the particulars of my visit so that he could discuss them with his team to ensure misunderstandings between store employees and customers are addressed appropriately in the future. It was nice that he reached out and didn't just ignore a complaint but actually treated me like a human being and listened to what I had to say, which isn't something you get a lot of anymore. read more

I dropped off two computers on a Thursday....Tried to pick up on Saturday. I checked the website and it said open at 9:00...I went at the opening time only to be told by the cell phone guy that they did not open till 10....after frustration since i had a busy day...I ran a few errands and when I returned I had an accident in the parking lot...not DD fault but I was upset when i went to get computers. The guy who gave me the computers was extremely rude after i recommended they change thier opening times on line. His quote was "I am not apologizing for working my hours" I did not need to be treated so rudely so that is it for me. Their are plenty of techs out there who maybe have some ppl skills. read more

My MSI laptop hinge cracked due to how much they tighten it, making it hard to open and close without placing stress on the plastic. Fortunately I had an extended protection plan with my credit card as it was past the standard warranty period. My credit card company required a written estimate with the complete breakdown of charges, cost to replace vs repair, etc. I initially went to Best Buy but they stated they couldn't provide anything like this as it was done out of house, and hadn't done a written estimate of repair in years for warranty. Data Doctors was able to accommodate this, and required a $50 non-refundable deposit. It required several back and forth email to accomplish receiving what my credit card company needed. They were very patient during this process. Part of my request for service was to loosen the hinge nuts so the screen open and closed very easily. I included a link to a video for where I wanted it adjusted to. I called after a couple weeks to find out about the progress. Apparently my parts were delivered to the Verizon store by accident and they stated Verizon doesn't check their mail often. After this was resolved the repair took a few days to complete. I was told they didn't have the socket to adjust the hinge as requested since that socket size had been taken off premise. After thinking about it overnight, I felt this was unacceptable since I had made this request for hinge adjustment and it was approved and talked about multiple times. I went into the shop the next day and spoke with the store manager. I let him know that I would like that hinge adjustment made as the laptop screen would simply do the same thing it had before if not adjusted. He said he understood and would take care of it. It took a couple weeks for them to get back to it and adjust it. But when I picked it up it was as requested. Outside of a few hiccups the repair was completed, and at the end was correct. But it did take much much longer than expectations. read more

My computer died following a power outage. It was getting to that point of aging so we ordered a new one, then took both in to the shop to see if we could salvage the data. Not only did they salvage the data, they were able to duplicate the old on the new, programs and all! Turns out the old one was infected. Biggest rip off ever! Seriously do not take your computer here to be repaired. I felt like I was in a used car sales lot. Technician tried to sell me the moon, charged my $100.00 (for desktop) and $50.00 (for laptop) just to tell me what was wrong with computer. Then came back and told me my hard drive crashed on desktop and for roughly $400.00 he could fix it (plus another $100.00) to get my info back...wait...If hard drive crashed how do you have any of my info? Desktop need new motherboard $150.00 for that. Total bill would be roughly $650.00. Plus $24.99 monthly service fee. Uhm....No Thanks! I found another guy that ordered motherboard, hard drive and installed and fixed both computers for $150.00 total! Data Doctors should be ashamed of themselves. I get they have rent for space, etc, but they share that with 2 other businesses. Triple & quadruple charges are just plain ripping off people. read more

I'm very happy with the replacement of the screen on my IPhone XS Max! Best part was, I arrived after they had closed for the holiday and they stayed late to fix it! My review is a little late but I had the absolute best experience at Data Doctors in Queen Creek. My laptop decided one day to not turn on. I was desperate to fix it asap and was terrified it was an non fixable issue (I have nothing backed up like I should). I took my laptop into data doctors not really knowing what they do there. There manager or maybe the owner took my laptop apart and fixed it right there in the lobby. He genuinely cared about helping me and didn't charge me anything. I had a portable hard-drive fail: naturally with all my life's work on it. I tried an online app to recover my data... no luck at all. Then to another store-front competitor for 'professional' help - no luck there either. However, Data Doctors of Queen Creek took very good care of me; they recovered it all, in a timely fashion, with very good hints for future care of my data. Very rude. I went in looking for a ide to Sata connector and the guy was quick to say they have one and won't sell it. As soon as I walked in he assumed what I was their for like my fone was in my hand and asks about my phone then If I'm their for a pc fone tablet or laptop.
