Great value and flavor on the whole hoagies. They have a coke free style machine, so that's a huge draw for me and a friend to enjoy ourselves and catch up and chat. This place has good service and good food. A good Davanni's in general! Don't have Davanni's often anymore but it's just how I remember it

While a fan in the past, our recent experience was horrible. Food arrived in a timely manner, however, was lukewarm at best. The cheese bread tasted like plastic - could lift cheese off bread and was hard as a rock. The two pizzas had next to no sauce and was barely edible. Freestyle Coke machine is now standard to Davanni locations everywhere, so it drives me crazy that they won't deliver them? I get a sigh and sorry explanation each time I place a phone order because evidently their drivers don't have cup holders? I love their sandwiches but have noticed the quality has gone down in the last couple years. I can't put my finger on what it is but I suspect it starts with the bread. My favorite hot sub is the TBC (Turkey Bacon Chipotle). I have tried all of the subs and this is the one that consistently crave when I want Davanni's. Roast Beef is surprisingly good as most chains have a poor cut of Roast Beef. Parmesan garlic chips are a staple accompaniment for any sandwich. Not a huge fan of the pizza, but its not bad, the sandwiches are far superior. People like the cheese bread, but I'm not a huge fan. Davanni's always has coupons available, but you cannot submit them with the online ordering. Last time I ordered I received year-expired coupons with my food. read more

Their food is TERRIBLE! The pizza I ordered had VERY little sausage, more like nothing at all! The Crust was tough, WE COULD NOT EAT IT! I could not even cut it with a pizza cutter. That is how tough it was after cooking it until it was done. There were NO instructions on how to cook a partially baked pizza. The meat ball sandwich was BURNT, MEAT BALLS AND BREAD, and there was no cheese on the meat ball sandwich. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM DAVANNI'S AGAIN! I SPENT $54 including tip. It was not worth it and I will never order delivery or stop in to one of your stores ever again! They invited me back to try again. (Free) It was much better than the 1st time. The food was improved and we tried everything I ordered the 1st time. I would return. However, I would order THIN crust dough because the regular hand made was not what pizza dough should be. My first time trying this place and I won't be back. The crust is absolutely terrible, very doughy and way to thick. All of the toppings were bad quality including the cheese which tasted like plastic. Surprisingly they were very busy to the point of not having plates or silverware. The staff was the best part as they did try the best they could being so busy. But do yourself a favor and don't come here for pizza. read more

I have received a messed up order from this Davanni's so many times I have lost count. They have always worked to make it right, but even the make good order get's messed up. Oy Vey!! We love Davanni's, just not from this location. I order from Davanni's, when at the office, frequently and my order is always perfect. Maybe it's the difference between ordering lunch and dinner. I don't eat at Dananni's very often, but every time I do it's great! I order Davanni's for my office functions, and also have it with my, family time to time. The restaurant is always nice and clean, but they also deliver, too. I've Add their Pizza, salad, pasta, and cookies and brownies. Everything is good. I wrote a negative review on the davannis in savage 2 months ago. The delivery pizza was barely warm, the chicken on it was overcooked, the sauce was bland and taste less. But the manager Beth was very apologetic and offered to mail me a coupon for the cost of my meal so I could try some thing different. I agreed. But 2 months later and I still haven't received anything from her. I might have changed my opinion on the savage davannis had i tried something different with the coupon but I'm not seeing any effort on their part. read more

Davanni's has fantastic food BUT the pricing for said food has gotten out of hand in recent years in my opinion... The menu I got at the beginning of summer is already out dated as far as pricing. I found out it was out dated when I ordered carry out and the total was way more then I was expecting for my family. I hope they don't price themselves out of customers... We ordered our food for pick-up on a Tuesday. It was during peak business hours, but I was still only told 20 minutes. I ordered a hamburger and green pepper traditional pizza, a pastrami hoagie with no mayo and onions, and the spinach with chicken salad. I arrived to pick-up about 15 minutes later and it was hot and ready! The restaurant was also quite busy so I'm impressed with that! The pizza was good with very fresh green peppers and the hamburger was some of the best I've tasted. The hoagie was just okay. The butter/garlic toasted bread was a very nice touch, but otherwise I think the toppings were a bit scant. My mother-in-law had the salad and she was not a fan. The spinach looked like it was on it's way out. The dressing was great though! We aren't huge pizza fans so we don't eat it often, but it's nice to have something hot and ready for us when we don't want to do a take-n-bake! read more

Since moving to Savage from NE Minneapolis we have realized the food scene in the "burbs" is less than sub par, but how can you go wrong with pizza...well as it turns out...a LOT! we have tried delivery from Davanni's several times and each time it is a massive let down, thin crust tasted like a frozen pre-made mass produced dough, and could not have less taste. When we have entertained for football games and other events, our guests have stated that the pizza's were not as tasty as they had remembered Davanni's used to be. Quality has gone way down and it shows. I ended up trowing out 3/4 of a large pizza as my wife and i could not stand to eat it, Carbone's has our business from now on! read more
