Our first visit to this location today and likely our last. The young lady at receptions was less than welcoming and really tarnished the entire experience. I approached the counter with my family after standing off to the side for a few minutes awaiting a welcome or direction. When I finally approached the counter and I awaited a greeting. A stare off began until she finally offered a "I could care less greeting". I asked my questions and got my directions. I purchased the minimum cards fro 5 people but had been prepared to go all in on the experience until the interaction with the young lady. This is a people business and place folks come to for recreation. Disappointed. We walked to the bar and waited 10 mins, no one greeted us- ignored us when we kept on calling them to attend us. Then finally a gentleman looks at me and I ask for a menu .. another 5 mins pass and he didn't even bother to check on us. We ended up walking away. I understand why they need to bring people in with Groupon, management needs to be replaced immediately. Went there last weekend with my husband for our anniversary. Was ok, menus were sticky which is the first sign of lax management, took forever to order drinks since the bartenders were all chatting happily with each other at the far end and nobody seemed to care. Games were good, it wasn't crowded so we didn't have to wait for the blue swipe games - all 10 of them. Took my son and a friend of his yesterday with the same Groupon deal. Waiting in the line at the door, then waited until the manager finished his conversation with the staff member at the desk before being acknowledged. I showed him the Groupon voucher and he handed me 2 cards without speaking. Ok.... "are these ready to go?" "Yeah, you're all set." So the boys went to play games. The cards stopped working, having run out of points on the cards. So we went back up front, and was ignored again until I spoke up about needing help. A different manager came over, did something on the computer with the cards, wasn't super friendly, but did at least smile. So the blue game swipe function was unlocked at least, but the 18 points to use on other games never happened and I didn't want to bother with it again. I let the teens play, and went to the bar for one of the drinks I'd ordered last weekend, it was good, although it was $11. And sat. A long time. More than 20 minutes. Before a bartender FINALLY realized she had a customer sitting empty-handed at the bar. She was nice when she asked my order, and I told her "I was going to order one of those Long Island teas, but I don't have enough time now, so let me get a coke." Holy crap did her demeanor change! Like I'd licked all the red off her candy. Got the coke, set it on the bar, I was digging in my wallet for cash and she said, "forget it." I'll bet that Dave B. Is going to reply and say how sorry he is, and ask me to fill out a form or call a number. I'm not doing either one. Im going to take the bartender's advice and Forget It. Until there is a complete reset of management at Dave & Buster's in MB, there's no need for this local to remember its existence. I'm local to Myrtle Beach, I was so excited when Dave and Buster's opened a location here! The have UFC PPV's, games, wings & beer? Amazing! But what they don't have is a staff that gives even a half a shit. That was the case when they opened couple years ago, for several consecutive visits. I haven't been back in years, but it must have improved by now! We came in after 8 o'clock to watch PPV fights wanted to do the "Eat and Play" combo, they don't do that after 5pm on the weekends... went to get a table, there's a dozen open, hostess tells me there is a thirty minute wait... we are seated order food and drinks... forty minutes for drinks, 90 minutes for food. Apps and entrees arrive at the same time. Food is not right, half shows up cold two apps not at all. Silver and napkins for a table full of food? No. Glasses are empty, no one offers to serve us another round. Two bite check back? Pffft. Ordered more drinks after most of the food was gone, waited another thirty minutes for them to arrive. Another friend arrives! We open a new tab when the server shows up after they have been there twenty minutes. Forty more minutes for those drinks and they are not the drinks we ordered. Drink them anyway, because we're just happy to have something. This place is NOT packed, it's busy, but it's a Saturday night and packed is what this place is built to handle. We order one more round after flagging down the server again and get the wrong drinks again. Now the fights are over, we have no check... do we hunt down the server to pay, or are our wrong drinks and cold food complimentary? Server finally arrives when we are about to give up waiting. I pay cash. She pays with a card, soooo that will be another twenty five minutes... Tip? Haha! Sorry server, but I have worked in service industry, I feel bad leaving less than thirty percent on all my tabs, BUT you have to give me something to feel good about rewarding you for. It is the "Service Industry", not the, "I'm doing this because it's easy money. I really hate this job, I'm just waiting for my band to get a big break industry". Give a shit about service and I'll give more than shit for a tip. Sorry, not sorry. **Two stars not one because the kids really enjoyed all the games. Overall an unpleasant dining experience! The hostess gave us attitude when we request a booth after she directed us to a table. Our server was prompt in brining our drinks, but the issues started when we ordered dinner. The kids food came out and one of the orders was wrong. No one came to apologize although they did bring another plate with the correct order. Both kids finished their dinner before we (the parents) even got our dinner, and that included the order that was messed up and replaced. We had to ask 3 times for ketchup for the kids cheese burgers. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad. It was barely enough to curb my hunger. The lettuce was wilted and it was the size of a side salad with what looks like about 2oz to maybe 3oz of cold pre-cooked chicken on top. My husband said his food was okay, but nothing special. In short; skip the dining experience and head for the games. Since this is a newer facility the games are all new and well functioning. We went on Wednesday so games were half price. I will say that the 4-way air hockey was super fun. There were some decent prizes as well. read more

We were on vacation and looking to combine some family fun with dinner. When we put our name for a table, the hostess told us it would be about a 45 minute wait. A manager nearby slid us into the billiard seating area right away and we loved him for it. It was busy, as D&B normally is, and very noisy. Our server was busy, but he ended up handling things pretty well. It took a while to get our food, but it was to be expected with the amount of people in the place. My cheeseburger was delicious. The french fries were a little dry and over-cooked. My wife's salmon was a bit hard, but overall, pretty good food. We got the unlimited Eat-and-Play combos and our kids had a great time playing the games. They had a good assortment of games, but being so busy, it was difficult to get on some of the more popular games. I bought a groupon for unlimited play for two for $25.00. I thought it was a great deal. When I got to the location I was u see the impression I would play all day and have a blast. I found out once there there are only about 7 games that have unlimited play. Since, I'm assuming, everyone is on unlimited play those games are always occupied. This location does not have a bowling alley and compared to others it's quite small. The food service was rather quick. They also have an unlimited card with unlimited wings and fries. So I ordered one unlimited card with wings and fries for my kids. The slick waitress waits until I leave the table and starts taking orders from my kids. I agree with other reviewers who said to come for games and drinks and maybe skip the food. Although the menu seems interesting and somewhat inventive, the execution falls flat. Within our group of 6, 3 had problems with their food orders and 1 person didn't eat, so 3 out of 5 meals had issues. Our server was friendly and worked to resolve our issues, it was just frustrating that menu items were missing ingredients, overcooked and undercooked. The food was pretty decent but it's more like bar food which is exactly what you would expect for a place like Dave and Busters. They have a really fun drink menu with tons of options. I was a little iffy about visiting this place because of the bad reviews, but my partner wanted to come here for her birthday so we did. We had a good time and all, but some things were a little annoying. We had to wait in one area for a table, but there was no clear sign or anything that said something along the lines of "see a host or hostess in the area you would like to be seated." Then one server told us we had to wait in the front line to get a play card till our server saw us waiting on that line for a card and said we could buy it at the table. After we bought the card we found out that veterans get a discount, and since all but 2 people in our party were veterans we obviously were disappointed. When the manager found out we got our money back, so all is well that ends well. While there is a big parking lot there is so much to do here that parking can be rough, especially if there are a lot of tourists. Just curious as to why people visit Myrtle Beach for vacation and come to Dave & Busters, but to each their own. As a local, this is a nice place to come and chill, just make sure you know what's going on or you'll be wandering around like we were. read more

Well. When you have kids and its hot outside, D&B is always a plus to have around. It was SO BUSY! They must not have covid capacity restrictions here! The restaurant seating was completely closed, so to get food you had to sit at the bar or the dining room with bar height seating. Not kid friendly and confusing. We checked in with the host and were sent a text so we came back up to the podium. There were about 20 people standing there hopelessly looking for service, with no help in sight. The employees were talking to each other looking confused about what to do. They need to train people properly, and have enough people to help everyone in line. read more

We played while we waited for our table, lots of games/options. Our waitress was very pleasant and food and drink were good. I could go on, but seriously? A bartender that has literally 5 bar guests, including myself and the person I was with, and they're in the weeds/being rude? Nahhhhh. I may understand if it was busy and they had a bunch of drink tickets, but it was the furthest thing from busy, and even then not even a "I'll be right with y'all" or "sorry about the wait yall, how're y'all doing today?". She handled every single order seamlessly, without error, efficiently & all while having a smile on her face! The food was great and the mixed drinks were memorable. I liked that they offered a low carb bun option for the burgers. BUT the service was SLOW on two different occasions. The bartender (JP-only name given on the check) was the rudest I've ever experienced. Forgot a drink completely, then didn't return. Caught his attention to ask about the drink, he yelled "hold on a moment" then walked away to stand and chit chat with a group of young people. Asked for the manager to a different waitress (red hair) Just as rude, first said she would call the manager. Second time I asked, she said she "didn't have time for this crap". Manager would not come over to talk, my Husband tracked down manager, she was just as rude and stated that everyone is human and makes mistakes. When your one job is serving drinks, and you "forget" to do it, that's not really a mistake. Then to belittle and talk down to the customer reminding you get the drink they ordered, it might be time to find new employment. Maybe Dicks Last Resort, where you are expected to be rude and disrespectful, might be your place. read more

Why only a 2? It was our first visit to this location. Had a coupon out of 'map for Broadway at beach', Planned on showing our grand children & friends invited a good time. On arrival (4pm) we were told 1 hr wait for table seating in dinning area. So confusing no with lots of empty tables, areas roped off... Ok so re-group and daughter goes to buy game cards and is told $20 coupon not useable... It's getting better and better...... We decide to let kids begin game play and an adult watches tables where it's first serve first sit..20 minutes later we all sit down. There were guests complaining on long food wait and waitresses not attending to tables. Our table of 8 was served very satisfactory. Food gets a 5. At end of visit the dreaded 'turn in tickets (with 5-17 year olds), racks were low to no prizes unless of course you had 3500 points or more. We get company's need to make money but games were very high cost to play and prize values high too. Coupon offer was a hoax. Game quality was good. Return is a no at this point. We stopped in and had a wonderful time. The food was cooked just right, our service was great, and the family wad able to enjoy a lot of games. The price for the location was excellent. Being in the middle of a tourist area and still offering the same prices as you would get at any other Dave and Busters. With all dave and busters I believe the prizes you win are not that great and it would take quite a but of money to get the better ones. All in all the experience with the family made it all worth it. read more

This D&B location has a great selection of games and lots of games perfect for couples: some of my favorites were the Kong Fu Panda game, some piano thing, and this game with loads of blue buttons you had to press as quickly as you can. If you like drinking, happy hour is the way to go!! Staff at the bar were very friendly, staff at the gift shop and on the floor looked VERY overwhelmed. The loss of a star has to do with the terrible prize selection: the limited selection of undesirable items seems to be very poorly priced out. This is my second trip to a D and B and it was ok. The cleanliness was ok. The food was ok. The waitress was bad. The upselling was immediate, "buy more tickets!" The games were crowded. The rewards store was disorganized with one helpful associate and one unhelpful associate. I think we knew what we were going to get and got it to be honest. The woman who seated us, literally ignored us when we spoke or asked a question and then didn't even speak to us. The culture of the staff here seems very lazy and unfriendly, maybe because they are exposed to extremely loud noise for an entire shift--bring earplugs, this place is so loud that my ears were ringing when we left. read more
