Came in on a Sunday to watch some football. The only reason they're getting any stars is because there are a lot of TVs that are easy to see. It took 20 minutes to get the table cleaned from whomever sat there before us, and another 15 on top of that to get a beer in hand. 3 stars for food quailty. 1 star for service. Started with long wait for waiter in an empty restaurant section. When I asked for "ask your server about local beers" he didn't know. More on that later. Waited long for him to come back to take original order. I mis-read something on the menu, said "place the other orders and come back". He completely misunderstood and tried to explain what I had already seen AND described as my error. During his time away I went to the bar for the first time to see if rye could be substituted for bourbon in a drink. The answer was yes. He finally came back and I ordered my food and attempted the drink. "Not available". So I thanked him and went back to the bar to check what 'local' beers were available. When I asked the bartender she told me they were all printed. So I had to point out the BIG BOLD "Ask your server about local beers". We also had to search for our order taker twice. We were brave to come here on a Saturday night. This was my first Dave & Busters experience and even though I had fun, we spent more time waiting in lines than playing games. For sure this place is like crack for any adult (or child) that likes to play games. We waited in line to get our play card and set off to play some games. We wanted to do the classics. The basketball where the hoop moves, skee ball and the game where the light goes in a circle and you have to stop it in the middle. The basketball game was so busy. There was a line of about 7 people where if you know the area to stand in, it's not that big. We then decided to go to skee ball instead but when we went half of the machines were down. We couldn't get any two next to each other. After that we went to the light game which only captured our attention for 5 minutes. A few games that we wanted to try were some shooting games and the dance type game. In many of the shooting games there were people who just stood at the machine and kept putting in money. In one of the shooting games, a girl who was no older than 10 just kept feeding money in the machine for about 25 minutes. I don't know where she got all of that money from and I don't care but I was pretty annoyed and so were many others trying to play the game. I won't keep going on with my experience but everything was pretty much along those lines and SUPER busy. I would come here again but maybe on a weeknight where I am not wasting my time waiting or dodging people with their kids. I came here with some friends today and this place really need to get their act together. It took us forever to get our orders in and almost 15 minutes to get our drinks. I ordered the pasta and they completely forgotten to give me a fork. The server kind of gave us an attitude when we were asking for the missing items. Food is meh. What a full house! Bigger crowds = poor customer service. Despite what seemed to appear as preparation for the influx of patrons due to the highly-anticipated Mayweather v. McGregor boxing match, the wait time and understaffing was a major no-no. Though our server was great and tried to make the best of a bad situation, it was obvious that she was overwhelmed. My early prediction of a great dining experience went straight out of the window as soon as the crowds came in droves. Luckily, we arrived minutes after eight and didn't leave until the fight waa over. The food was good. Hubby and I split the bar burgers and wings platter (four mini cheeseburgers on Hawaiian rolls paired with original buffalo wings and seasoned fries) for $15.99. It was delicious. I ordered the sweet Apple pecan salad with grilled chicken (herb-grilled chicken breast, crisp apple slices, candied pecans and crumbled blue cheese tossed with crisp greens in raspberry viniagrette) for $10.99. Got chicken? I certainly did not and immediately called for our server after doublechecking to fix my dish. She forgot to bring the A1 steak sauce and drink. This is by far the worst dave and busters ever. All the games are always broken. There's never anyone around to fix them. Bad service all around. The absolute only worker they have that provides excellent service is Chris the bartender. The managers are rude af. I lost a card and tried to get the dumb a$$ b*tch in the front to switch my 2000 tickets onto another card and she wiped all my cards clean. Her dumb manager came over to fix the situation and said they're was nothing she could do when all but THREE THOUSAND tickets came back. This just turned me off from dave and busters all together because their expensive games meant that I technically lost over $3000. So annoyed. I've missed the Dave & Buster's in White Flint. This location is a good attempt, but the location is smaller although there are a variety of newer (and classic) games. Unfortunately, the restaurant/bar area is still going through growing pains. Blue Moon was not on tap and they ran out of prosecco on Friday and was still not restocked on Sunday when I was there. I ordered a portobello sandwich and it was ok, but very greasy. I don't really think I'll be back for food, but definitely will be back to play more games! read more

Dave & Busters has a special every Monday, Thursday and Sunday night (Game days). The special includes All you can eat wings and unlimited game play for $19.99. We took this trip just to get my daughter out of the house before another week of school, plus who wouldn't give up that offer? So we immediately seat ourselves and as we wait for almost 10 minutes, a young man comes up to our table and drop a couple menus off. At this time we are ready to order, so I call him back over & explain that I was here to get the special that they were offering. The young man asked if "we" were going to eat, I responded "No, we'll share with her" mind you my boyfriend and I ate prior to getting there....he says"OK" the first batch of wings come out, cold to the touch my daughter could not eat them being they were buffalo hot wings ( she didn't even finish her first one ) so I eat them, my boyfriend eats a couple and that was that. A few minutes later, the waiter comes back and says to me " they said if you guys are over here sharing i'll have to charge you for a second order" so at this point we're either being watched or discussed upon in the back by our waiter. I am approached by the General Manager she asks " is everything ok?" I asked in return, what made you ask that? She says " I'm the general manager, I ask everyone that" " Are you guys over here sharing wings? if so, the special is per person and i'll have to ring you up for another order if so" I ask her " So i cannot share with a 5 year old if she couldn't finish her wings?" she states... "NO, and after the second order (which was already placed at this time) was to be shared that she would charged me for two specials, I agree and I say fine.  I also ask her where is that policy in writing, and she points to multiple posters on the wall. I honestly did not see these papers hanging up, I didn't know that it would be a problem to share with my own flesh and blood. Second batch of wings come out, two other managers come to my table speaking to me as if I were a child, or was intending to run out on the tab. They sit a $76 bill on the table, mind you we have not played any games yet and this would be my 2nd plate of wings... I asked, "whats this" they say, "your bill, you guys are still over here sharing", which was a lie and even it was the truth, the manager gave me her WORD THAT AFTER THIS LAST ORDER THAT IF WE SHARED I WOULD BE CHARGED. I went with two of my girlfriends for a "ladies night out". The 1st thing I notice about the Silver Spring location is how small it appears compared to the other locations I've been to. 2nd I was surprised at the amount of uniformed cops there were spread through out the restaurant; by uniformed I mean bullet proof vest & all. I get that there are few unruly teenagers that come to that area but if the company thinks the people in the area are that bad to need armed vested cops, why bother to open in that location. Once we located the eating area, we were seated immediately at a booth. Our waiter was enthusiastic & polite however his enthusiasm did not prevent our drinks from taking forever to arrive. It took about 8 mins for our drinks to arrive to the table. Shortly after that the appetizers arrived then our meal, basically everything flowed nicely after the drinks. Everyone's food was delicious. The plate presentations looked great. I loved that they have new drink & food selections. They're definitely worth the price. Unfortunately after the meal I had to leave so I can't give a review on the game area, although my two friends apparently enjoyed themselves. Dave and Buster's is amazing! I came here for an event and the staff treated us wonderfully and we had a great time playing afterwards. There aren't as many games as the Arundel Mills D&B but it is a much more convenient location for the DC crowd. The food is also amazing- who knew some of the best mac & cheese I've ever had would be at D&B. I will say there should be free lockers or something here- the staff will not watch your things for you and there is no where to put your bag. I will never bring my family here for dinner again. We sat down at 6pm. By 6:25, we knew what we all wanted. No server has come to the table yet. So I look around and there are a couple servers walking around, but one in particular was serving the table next to ours. REPEATEDLY! So by 6:35, I gotten up to go to the bar to ask if we had to come to the bar to order food. He proceeds to point to the same young lady I was just referring to. He says, "give her time." Mind you, its maybe 15-20 people in there and at least six servers walking around. So not even packed. So I go to sit back down, and the bartender states that there is an option to do contactless ordering where you order from an app and the food is brought out to you. Ok, fine. I order my daughters a burger and fries each, my son a rack of ribs and fries, i had chicken tenders and fries. and four beverages. By this time its 6:50. Food didnt come out for another 25 min. And not only did it take a while, we had no condiments or beverages. Finally got a hold of the server, and asked about the drinks. To get them took another 15 min. My boyfriend and I love Dave and busters and have visited all of them. We don't usually eat there and mainly grab our drinks at the bar. Last night we decided to eat since we were starving. I met a trio of brothers that work there. They made our visit so fun, and amazing. Steven was our main server and he went out of his way to make sure my boyfriend and I knew everything on the menu. I am a diabetic and I had a lot of questions. He was so on point. I have had some good servers but he was one of the best. I never had to ask for anything, he was so personable. I felt like I knew him since I was a kid. Even my boyfriend said damn that was good service. I don't usually write reviews unless they really deserve the good or bad recognition. If you guys are big Dave and busters fans like us. You decide to eat in the restaurant, ask for Steven! I even snuck in a few pics of him and his brother. Management was helpful, but our server didn't come back to check on us and didn't even collect our check, the manger did. We ordered a kids mac and cheese, their version of chicken tenders, a Portobello mushroom burger , a kids cheese pizza and a Chicken burger. Visited this location yesterday because the DMV just had a bad windstorm and my neighborhood lost power. We took our 10yr old daughter to get her out of the house for a few hours. We get there & wait to be seated......waited a total of 7 minutes before a waitress said just sit anywhere...‍‍....waitress comes to our table 9 minutes after we sat down and we ordered our drinks. 10 min later waitress comes to table to take our food order....WE STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN OUR DRINKS YET....5 min after that my husband and I get our sodas but my daughter still hadn't gotten her water.....I get up and go to the ladies room, 5 min later I come back and my daughter still did not get her water.....WATER!!! REALLY!?!?! My husband gets up and walks to the bar where she was and she saw him coming and realized she didn't return with the glass of water....water comes a minute later. We get our mediocre ass food 20 minutes later. This location is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! It wasn't even crowded because it was a work day!! CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS AWFUL!! Most games don't work and the arcade staff are very rude and THE PLACE WILL LITERALLY SHUT THE GAMES AT 1130PM with out warning and the place closes at 12AM. I will win big jackpot and the place shuts down, therefore, can't get tickets. The place and staff feels rushed. I know the staff has to go home so instead why don't they stop serving food and drinks at 1130 and star closing while the rest of us complete our games. That's how the D&B in NY and Texas does it. Let's start off with the below average food and work our way to the poor service. We stuck with the burger in the hopes that it was the best of poor choices - we were right. The food took far too long to come out. The side of fries were cold. The drink my friend ordered, a margarita, there were "out of". The next drink, you guessed it there were "out of" again. So now let's play some games after a mediocre meal. The kiosk failed all four transactions by three different people in our group. So now we get to wait in the long line at the front. When I finally get my turn they explain its a new system and the transaction at the kiosk didn't go thru. Great, "can I buy two $25 game cards with the super charge". Now add the two $2 "activation" fees (do you feel the hustle?). Which makes $58. Kim at the counter tells me "That will be $84". Me, "I'm sorry, I said two $25 cards with super charge." Kim, "No, you said $35." Me, "No, I said $25." Kim, "No, you said $35." Me, "No, I said $25." Kim, "No, you said $35." Me, "No, I said $25." Really!?! Why is she arguing with me? Kim gets in the walkie talkie, "Can I get a manager?" Manager comes and does a post void. And Kim, absent of a smile the entire time, fails to make eye contact and hands we the newly charged cards. Now the line is HUGE. My older son is so disillusioned he would now rather walk around the mall. Never again will we be at Dave and Busters. read more

Dave 'n' Busters has been a great addition to City Place, but there are crooks that work in the bar and food area of the establishment. I had a waiter name Barry decided to take more of my money when I pay cash for my food. Instead of bring my change back Barry took my all of. My money I gave him which was more than the price of the food and use the excuse " I thought the rest was for tips". If your great waiter/waitress you don't worry about tips and do not revert to tricks because the tips will come. Food is good but the Wait Staff have horrible Customer Service. Also the Manager Is a weak team leader that needs to manage his team better. If the team was trained better there shouldn't be these types of issues. read more

We ordered drinks and an appetizer platter to start while we looked over the menu. I had a Groupon for the games and asked the server how to redeem. She told me I had to go all the way to the other side of the arcade area. I went to that desk and had to wait in a very long line. Not sure why the servers can't help with redeeming these. But back to the service. We had been waiting for over 20 mins and still had no drinks. The appetizer platter showed up so we asked for water since we still didn't have our drinks. It took 10 minutes to get the water. Our drinks finally showed up about 30 mins after we ordered them. And the ice was melted, like they had been sitting. Our food was dropped off by food runners. My chicken was missing the honey mustard and we needed ketchup. We waited and waited to ask our sever but we didn't see her. We finally got either a host or manager(not sure which it was) attention and she brought us honey mustard. My son took ketchup off an empty table. Food was mediocre at best. Drinks were tasty and the games were fun. The bar was also slow to get drinks. They need to have more bartenders on the weekends. Not sure I would go back to this location.
