She was a ray of sunshine and gave us help in deciding on menu items. We both ordered salads. I ordered the crab and shrimp Louis salad. And, my friend ordered a chicken salad. Our salads were huge, fresh, and delicious. I really liked the fresh veggies and poached shrimp. I also liked the surprise sprinkle of Old Bay on my seafood. I wasn't a fan of the crabmeat. The dressing was delicious too. My friend liked her chicken salad. She did say her chicken was a little dry. But, she loved all of the fresh veggies and ended up taking the leftovers home. I also ordered the Oreo cheesecake which was delicious. I mean come on now, you combine Oreo's and cheesecake, that is a winning combination and the whipped cream was amazing. The restaurant itself was bright, colorful, and full of sea themed decor. The booth was comfortable and you get 3 hours of free parking in the garage. Again, thanks Fatima for your excellent service. We will definitely be back.

I didn't know there was an entrance in the hotel so we walked in at the roadside entrance. Service was great and so were the drinks. My personal fav was the crispy shrimp but be careful because they fry them with the tails on (I didn't know that until I was halfway done). My biggest issue was the burger I took to go. I ordered it well done & as you can see it wasn't. I put it in the microwave for like 4 mins and it was fine but omg, I sure was surprised!

I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu.

So, let's start with food. Once we were seated and greeted by Sara, we sat around and talked for a bit before deciding what we wanted. The drink menu is wild so I opted for a beer. After all, it is a brewery! I opted for an IPA, my friend also ordered a beer (Dark & Stormy, a dark beer), and the other ordered a drink. Although my beer was 11%, it wasn't bitter and tasted juicy! It was good. I got the fish & chips w/coleslaw, one friend ordered onion rings and the other ordered salmon. Those onion rings were banging! and the coleslaw was pretty good too. Who doesn't love some fish & chips. Sometimes you just want something crispy! Overall, the food was decent. But let's talk about the general store-----------WOW! It's stocked with EVERYTHING!! Mugs, puzzles, seasonings, socks, leggo's, books, anything you can imagine. It's wild! Then......they also have liquor and beer. I'm talking craft beer, good wine, etc. Oh, and let's throw in an ice cream shop. Yes, an ice cream shop. They have everything! Check it out for yourself!

She pretended that she did and came back with a plate of beef with beef gravy and two biscuits. I had to take several minutes to explain what creamed chipped beef is and she didn't understand (she's hispanic and barely speaks english). After asking for a manager she says there isn't one there? Eventually another server came and finally understood what I wanted. Finally, I got my chipped beef. It was just okay. The taste was different from all the other places that i've ordered it. My girlfriend got over easy eggs with hash browns and toast (off-menu order). She liked it, but it's hard to screw that up anyway. The coffee was decent enough but I've had better. The diner is small and looks like a typical diner. I'm not sure if I'd come back, it was definitely a poor experience this time around.

The service was great and incredibly attentive. Everyone was so nice. I ordered waffles, scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, and coffee. The waitresses might ask all their questions to ensure it is cooked to our liking. I barely have pictures because I was so famished. We ended up staying for like 2-3 hours talking as the restaurant started to wind down, and they let us sit and chat while we watched the parking wars outside. MY biggest con is the parking. It is annoying that Sardi's catering occupies 30-40% of the lot. There is a fast turnaround, so my friends and I literally sat and waited to catch someone leaving before parking, rather than driving in circles. There is a hotel next door with ample signs that it's for guests only and that you will be towed; however, I still saw people do it and then watch their cars from the window lol. I think this did put a bad stain on my experience bc it took me about 20 minutes to get parking.

The decor was lovely and the ambiance represented an upscale experience in my opinion. They even offered free champagne and it was good! My friend and I tried: the Sticky Ribs Suya, Jerk-Braised Short Ribs with Curry Pea Risotto, Oxtail Mac & Cheese, and the Suya-Spiced Lamb Chops. All of the food was absolutely delicious, my only gripe would be that the lamb chops didn't come with enough green beans. The "Up All Night" (their version of an espresso martini) was also pretty good. Next time, I'd opt to get a traditional espresso martini though. Lastly, the service was outstanding. Our waitress was very kind, attentive, and timely. We even left her an extra tip. If I had to make a suggestion, the big ape could be moved elsewhere. It really does take up too much space.

The…read morerestaurant is relocating to Miami, and unfortunately, its sister restaurant Huncho House closed a few months ago as well. Since I've enjoyed both restaurants, I definitely wanted to stop by 1123 one more time before they left. The restaurant is still beautifully decorated and has a really chill vibe. The music was mostly R&B, which fit the atmosphere perfectly. Service was still as great as I remembered it. Our waitress was friendly, very knowledgeable about the menu, and offered some great suggestions when I asked for recommendations. I started with the Laugh Now Cry Never cocktail, which kind of reminded me of a Painkiller. It was very fruity and very sweet, so it's one of those drinks where you need to be careful because it doesn't taste nearly as strong as it actually is. For an appetizer, we got the Jollof Rice Arancini. It was pretty good and definitely satisfying, although I thought it was a little dry and slightly overcooked. Even with that, I still enjoyed it and would probably order it again. My friend ordered the Oxtail Ramen. She thought it was okay overall, but the soy egg was aggressively salty. She had the Chicken Ramen back at 1123's soft opening phase and she enjoyed that one a little more. The Lobster Mashed Potatoes were still really good. They were very buttery and flavorful, and this was definitely one of the sides that stood out to me. The Oxtail Mac & Cheese was a first for me at 1123. I actually liked it much more than the version I had at Huncho House. I really enjoyed the pasta they used, and it was much cheesier. The Scallops with Crab Risotto was my absolute favorite. I'm not a huge scallop person, but I do love a good risotto, and the risotto is definitely the star of this dish. I will say I was slightly disappointed because I had this dish at Huncho House a couple of years ago, and the scallops were much bigger and tasted a little less fishy. Even so, the risotto was so good that the dish was still my favorite of the night. We also had the Plantain Bread Pudding for dessert, and it was delicious. I liked that it wasn't overly sweet, which can sometimes be an issue with bread pudding. It was a really nice way to end the meal. All in all, I'm really sad that 1123 is closing and moving out of state. Although I visit Miami occasionally, there are so many amazing restaurants there that I don't know if I would necessarily go out of my way to seek out a restaurant that I've visited a few times before. But I really enjoyed my experiences at 1123 and Huncho House, and I'm glad I was able to visit one more time before they closed. Best wishes to the 1123 team on their move to Miami. I'll really miss this place.

Food Highlights We started with the chicken wings in jerk seasoning, and they were a revelation. The seasoning was spot on-bold, authentic, and the perfect way to kick off the meal. For the main course, I opted for the "Ribeye Steak". It was tender, juicy, seasoned and full of flavor. The sides were on point too. I also added fried shrimp and a loaded baked potato that was cooked just right and the perfect complement to the steak. I also tried the Boom Boom shrimp that was extra crispy just like I like it and tossed in a spicy sauce that had just the right amount of kick! Everything came out hot and at the perfect temperature that I requested. Drinks & Atmosphere The drink menu is impressive, with a vast choice of beers and ales that would satisfy any craft beer enthusiast. These are more like upscale frozen patties with a cheap tasting cheese. The fries are similar to Wendy's, but a little thicker. The onion rings are thick cut. It's more so for appetizers for me because of the type of food I try not to consume.
