Beautiful bowling lanes. Very well maintained.
    Joy B.

At Pinstripes you can feel the bowling magic. Beautifully kept lanes, a selection of balls, and bowling shoes are included in your one hour fee. As a former bowler, I loved the lanes. The ball selection was fine, but they definitely need to order new shoes. Both of our bowling shoes were well past their prime. Service was great. You had a personal waiter and a special bowling menu that included truffle fries, buffalo wings, and hamburgers. We got cheeseburgers and fruit with sodas. Let me tell you that they were absolutely delicious. And, the manager was really nice about accommodating for gluten allergies. The upstairs was beautiful with bars, several seating areas, and clean and comfortable lanes. The only reason I took off one star is the cost. Lanes are $60 an hour and the food was a bit costly too. But, it was beautiful, well organized, great staff, and well maintained lanes. If you can Spare the time, you will have a lot of fun.

The service here was very disappointing. Our server was so busy having a long conversation with another customer that she completely forgot about us. The manager actually had to come get her so we could finally get our wings. At that point, we decided not to even order entrées anymore. The lack of attention and poor service honestly ruined the experience for us.

The food tastes familiar like a family member's recipe. The portion was perfect for a small dinner. The service was attentive and quick. The ambiance was low-key and it being close to a holiday weekend was refreshing. I have been here before so I know the drinks and food are consistent. I had a good time, just like every other time. And yes they have bowling upstairs.

This review is for the brunch only. Our server was Cathy. Super nice and attentive. The person who sat us was Olivia. She was super nice too. I really love the brunch here. Lots of options for everyone. We came at noon on Saturday. It's busy but not too bad. Be sure to make a reservation so you get seated promptly. This spot makes for a great date with friends. Lots of people were celebrating birthdays so the energy is vibrant. This is my second time coming here and I would come here again!

I had a large party reservation for brunch on the patio. Upon arriving to the restaurant we were escorted to our table, up two flights of stairs to the patio. I recommend not booking for outside when it's over 90 degrees out. All of us were sweating buckets. Also, despite having a reservation the table was not set. We walked up and down the flights of stairs to the buffet and then were unable to eat due to lack of silverware. When one person in our party inquired about silverware, he said he only had 4 of them and we would have to wait for additional sets. Also, our waiter Jose was nowhere to be found for the first 25mins of our reservation. Drinks took very long to come out. Not sure if it was because we were outside and seated far from the center of the restaurant. Once Jose came to take our drink orders he was very cool and we enjoyed talking with him. He mixed two mimosa flavors upon the request of my friend which was very kind of him. The food was standard for buffet food, the prime rib was tasty and I loved the waffle station. The mimosas came in carafes and were heavy on the juice but that was to be expected for a bottomless brunch. Overall I think we would come back, but we would be careful to book a table inside closer to the buffet next time.

Pinstripes was an unexpectedly great dinner spot for our large group. I had friends coming into town for a golf weekend and needed a last minute spot to host our dinner. Pinstripes is a large establishment with enough seating to accommodate so I rolled the dice since I've never been before. Upon entering it seems like a typical sports bar setup. Large bar with ample seating, great beers on tap, and TVs playing sports. The restaurant is large but far enough from the bar that you aren't disturbed. I got the Lobster Mac & Cheese and was impressed by both the flavor and the amount of lobster. To top it off the price was reasonable. Staff was prompt, personable, and management was clearly walking the floor and checking on patrons. Altogether great dining experience.

It's wedding weekend! My brother's 1st child/daughter, my 1st niece, the 1st grandchild ... such an exciting time and the rehearsal here (Fri., 10/10) was the bomb kickoff to the weekend's festivities. Will update after the wedding (Sun., 10/12) but as of now, Pinstripes has earned ALL the KUDOS for their service and vibe. The restaurant, our bartender (Oscar), the event coordinator (Jasmine), our drinks (Paloma, Margarita Italiano, IPA, etc.), and my spicy chili wings were ALL impressive. I can already confirm I will back, even after the wedding! Check out the pics and make it a point for you to visit, as well. When you do ... tell them you saw it on Yelp!

Good food and drink. I had lobster bisque. Also had a Stella. The place is very busy downstairs and very lively. Upstairs you can bowl hence the name. I would go back. Give it a try.

Team off sites are about coming together, doing something as a team while talking. Laughing and just having a good time. That's what Pinstripes provides; especially after COVID. Our team ordered food ahead of time to ensure we had a great spread and variety of choices from Pinstripes for the evening, accommodating dietary restrictions while having (not always healthy) but yummy options available to everyone. I don't remember how many lanes we took over, but I know it was more than four. I guess the hardest part is splitting and picking teams and who will go first vs. last. (LOL) Now that's funny! The staff at Pinstripes was friendly and ensured prompt service. They checked in throughout our time there to make sure we had everything we needed. If you are looking for a group activity - be it your work colleagues, a birthday celebration (old or young) or just a night out with family or friends, I would recommend Pinstripes as a cool contender for your vote!!

I came for a friend's birthday, and it was not special for a buffet or brunch. Food was not that good; i think their dinner menu is slightly better if I remember correctly, but this buffet didn't have that much variety. There were barely any dishes i liked, if at all. I would've preferred a regular brunch place not with a buffet. The seating and setup was cute and nice though. Service was mostly mia as we served ourselves.

I've been to this location many times for happy hours and dinners, but this was my first time trying their Sunday brunch buffet. The highlights were their made to order omelet station and the prime rib carving station. The prime rib looked very rare, but once you add a good spoonful of the piping hot au jus, it finishes cooking it just right and the horseradish cream was a nice flavor too. I also liked their gnocchi, has a very nice pillowy chew! It's a decent selection, but nothing spectacular and for $35, I'd rather try one of the many other AYCE options in the area for a better value. Also, be careful because hot coffee and iced tea was included, but hot tea is $4 extra and the waiter didn't mention it! I would say their brunch is only an average 3-star experience, but I'll leave it as a 4 star total because the manager was great with helping us with something!

Great place in a nice area to explore and enjoy beautiful ambiance. I came here yesterday to celebrate with a Veteran friend (they offer free meals to Vets!), and we had a wonderful experience. The service was efficient, and all servers were very personable. We were seated immediately and enjoyed the aesthetically pleasing atmosphere, while sipping on our respective cocktails. I ordered the Blueberry Mash and the Tuscan Sangrio, both very tasty the perfect blend of sweet and smooth. As an appetizer we enjoyed the calamari it was cooked to perfection, though I would have loved an Asian sweet chili sauce as opposed to the marinara sauce that it was paired with, and I ordered the Chicken avocado club sandwich which was very tasty and came with a side of fries. All in all, a great experience--excited to come back to the area and explore to nearby shops!

They have good food, games, and a friendly environment. Great for kids too. They offer a brunch buffet and endless brunch drinks for an additional cost on weekends. I went for the brunch buffet. They had an omelette station, donut station and included a variety of appetizers, entrees, sides, and desserts. I would definitely recommend the place.

It's difficult to order a plain burger with the only burger on the menu has bacon and cheese. The food is standard fare. Burgers, sandwiches, salads. The chef pays attention to allergens. I've tried the shrimp roll, the Caesar salad, and the turkey club. All of these can be made gluten free, although the menu doesn't denote it. Another in my party enjoyed the shrimp tacos and the burger. Being inside the Marriott, it is a little overpriced, but the food is good, just hit or miss with service. Great for a quick bite if you're staying in the Marriott.

My philosophy is that there are simply too many restaurants in the world to return to a bad one. However, I was not aware that Glenwood's has upped its game. A lot! A helluva lot!!! While the ownership is still the same, everything else has changed - for the better! The dining room is neutral and completely understated. Quiet interior. Hushed energy and soft music. Beautiful finishes. Every surface I touched was clean, warm and modern. The service too was excellent. The hostess was friendly. She led us to one of the biggest booths I have ever occupied. Our server, Erika, was friendly too - also fast, good, charming, well-spoken and hard working. She helped us navigate the menu and made our dining experience really really nice. She is a credit to the restaurant! Of course, you go to a restaurant for the food and Glenwood's does NOT disappoint here either. Based on Erika's suggestion, we started with the Ahi Tuna Battera - a kind of sushi "roll" that is shaped/designed more like layered lasagne (Erika's description, not mine). It was great and almost too big for appetizer size. But I'm not complaining! For our main course, we both ordered the Fire Roasted Rotisserie Chicken. OMG! Delicious. Moist moist MOIST!!! I do not know what the chef put in that marinade but it was out of this world fantastic. Big big BIG!!! A half chicken with plenty of succulent meat on it. Neither one of us spoke until our chickens were picked clean. I only wish I could rotisserie a chicken that good! It was one of the best chickens I have ever eaten. For dessert, we gobbled down the cheesecake, making official gluttons out of ourselves! It was creamy, substantial and the perfect finish to our great meal. The negative to Glenwood's is its location. It is in a non-descript Rockville office building that is nothing special; but locked up and dark at nighttime. There is no other retail business within sight of the restaurant. This weird, lonely location gives it an abandoned - almost desolate - ambiance from the exterior. Driving by, I had almost thought it was a dining room for a retirement home. So, I started out this review by explaining that my bad experience at Stanford Grill kept me from enjoying a good dining experience at Glenwood's. I could not ignore the taint Stanford had given that place. But Glenwood's is a completely different place. The menu had so many great dishes that I want to return and try. I will definitely be back and I can see it becoming "my place." I highly recommend Glenwood's for a great meal in a great restaurant!

It feels like a little slice of California in Bethesda, making it a great spot for a casual lunch, brunch, or dinner with friends. We started with the Potato Salad Deviled Eggs and Jalapeño Cornbread. Both were excellent, with the cornbread being a standout. Warm, flavorful, and served with a generous dollop of butter. For my entrée, I ordered the Herbed Chicken Breast Paillard, which was light, fresh, and well-seasoned. The arugula and lemon complemented the dish nicely without overpowering it. Of course, we couldn't leave without trying the cookies for dessert. They definitely lived up to the hype and were the perfect sweet ending to the meal. The only area that fell short was the service. Our server was incredibly friendly, personable, and pleasant throughout the meal, but service felt inconsistent. There were several stretches where we didn't see our server for an extended period, which resulted in longer waits for our entrées and even getting a dessert menu. One example that stood out was when I asked for a to-go sleeve for one of my cookies. Unfortunately, it never arrived, and after waiting for a while, I ended up walking over to the bakery counter myself to request one. It was a little awkward because I was questioned about whether the cookie was actually mine before I could get the sleeve. While I understand the need to verify purchases, the situation likely could have been avoided had the original request been fulfilled. None of these issues were major enough to ruin the experience, but they did take away from what otherwise would have been a seamless visit. Overall, I'd still recommend Summer House Santa Monica for the atmosphere, quality food, and dessert selection. With a little more attentiveness on the service side, this could easily be a five-star experience.

I had to wait a few minutes for the host to return to the stand, but was seated promptly and a 4-top table in the center of the dining room. Service was attentive and polite. My water glass stayed full throughout and she helped me navigate the differences among several espresso martini options from the bar. The dining room has lovely high ceilings and the bathrooms were pristine. I ordered the Costa Mesa salad and added chicken. This brought the cost of my entree to $32 -- which I did not feel met the value for what I was served. The food was good, but there certainly wasn't enough of it or ingredients that I felt warranted the $32 price tag. I also took home four cookies ($5-$6 each) to share with my family. The cookies were good, but again, not worth the price tag. A return visit is probably not in the cards for me any time soon. This is a convenient spot to the iPic Theater and other "downtown" rockville spots so it might be nice to get brunch and then go to a movie or do some shopping. Parking is in a garage nearby.

But everyone was nice and cashiers were patient even when I couldn't decide what to eat LOL and the line was getting backed up. I couldn't decide right away cuz I was getting nervous the line was getting long so I got steak and egg. Classic meal, well worth the price! Large portion for potatoes too! I need to come back to try other items on the menu. There is too much to choose from, especially the Latin fusion section which surprised me it was even on the menu when I first saw it!

I want to love this place but it really doesn't love me back…read more PROS * Nice menu, some healthy food options * Coffee is above average for the area and better than Starbucks * Love the outdoor area, good service CONS * The emphasis on liquor kinda kills the coffee shop vibe. I get that's way more lucrative than coffee but I mean ... insert the name of the shop. * Food is higher priced for smaller portions and lately has not been good. I most recently ordered the Impossible Burger (which I've ordered before) and it was *not* good. * The big TV running what looks like a looped investor presentation, which is weird and distracting. I get that I can sit outside away from it but you can't do that year-round and when it's very hot or very cold you get an eye full of ... whatever that is.
