    Mushroom Stout Burger with fries

It's been a minute since I've been to Dave & Buster's, but we came, we ate, we played, and it was a good time! If you've never been to this location before, it might be difficult to find inside the mall, but it's located all the way at the top ~ so keep taking the escalators/elevator up ~ it's located across from the Burlington Coat Factory. We started with dinner (restaurant is located in the back). They had lots of screens going to play the very important NFL playoff games and later aired a UFC fight. After checking in at the hostess desk, we were able to pick our table. Our server was Pedro and he was awesome. He was friendly, approachable, accessible, checked on us multiple times, and he was a good sport about delivering bad news about the menu (several items we initially ordered ended up being unavailable). We were also celebrating a birthday and he was very helpful with coordinating bringing out a surprise candle-lit dessert. Special shout-out to Pedro for putting in so much care and effort to make the birthday girl feel special - he even went as far as letting us secretly choose the color of the candle for the cake! Most of our table ordered burgers for our entrees. The burgers were huge, came with a good serving of nicely seasoned fries, and all were cooked correctly to the desired temperature. Condiments were already set on the table. Our group had several picky eaters, and each entree was prepared accurately with the requested modifications/substitutions - kudos to the kitchen team for their attention to detail! I ordered the mushroom stout burger. It had good flavor but was a bit greasy and quickly turned soggy to hold. This made the burgers messy to eat, but Pedro planned accordingly and handed us a large stack of extra napkins on the table at the start of the meal - which we definitely put to good use! After our meal, we were ready to play! Remember to bring your D&B Power Card (if you already have one), or you'll have to purchase a new one at one of their machines or at the front desk ($3 activation fee + tax). They also have an app where you can download a digital Power Card, track balances, and keep it all handy on your phone. While some of the games (only a few) were out of order, most of the games were functioning, seemed current, and had their necessary accessories available (balls, rings, etc.). They had several tables strategically placed around the games to be able to set your stuff down and get into the game. I do wish there were more hand-sanitizing stations around after all the game-touching, but nothing felt too grimy. Restrooms, on the other hand (located in the corner next to the prize redemption area), weren't quite pristine on a late Saturday evening. To be honest, I was expecting the prizes to be junky (I had Chuck E. Cheese level expectations), but they had good prize selection to take home a fun/cute souvenir. They had plushies of various sizes, an ICEE machine, a karaoke microphone, fleece blankets, LED lights, mystery figurines, even a ceramic ramen bowl (which caught my eye), among other merch that you would find at a store in the mall. You can even redeem your tickets for food (check with the prize counter for redemption details), so pro tip: play first and redeem your winnings for shareables (appetizers), entrees, or desserts after! After all the game playing, we were parched and needed a drink. The hostess desk was able to provide us with complimentary cups of water to quench our thirst. While we waited for our drinks, several employees checked on us to see if we needed assistance. I appreciate their team-oriented approach to make sure customers are taken care of. Every employee that we interacted with had a good energy and showed that they were attentive to customers' needs. This D&B management team is doing something right. Dave & Buster's is open later than the other stores in the mall. If you stay past mall closing, the only way to exit is through the Skywalk, which empties out into Town Square Garage, so be sure to park in that garage for an easy getaway at night. The garages are paid parking ($1.25/hour) via their kiosk or app, Monday - Saturday until 10pm; free on Sundays.

We stopped by D&B's so I could have a walk down memory lane, and everything (for the most part) was fine . . . for a 40 something year old. D&B's has a nice array of games. However, I remember more interactive games (e.g. a trivia game) back in the day when I frequented D&B (in another location). I was somewhat disappointed because serval games were not working properly. For instance, you'd pay to play, but the game would not start. That said, game room attendants were very prompt with putting money back on your card with little to no questions asked. I think they kinda know that the there are some issues with the machines. We ordered some small bites (chicken wings, chicken potstickers, and fries), which we thought they were fine for D&B's. While I wouldn't go out of my way to eat at D&B's, I thought the food decent for the location. You know, I'm not going to expect a Michelin type of restaurant at an arcade spot. D&B's does have a nice happy hour special that include a wide assortment of $5 adult beverages. Since we spent most of our time at the bar, I thought our bartenders were pretty decent. While one of the bartenders wasn't super friendly, he was prompt in making our drinks. Overall, I thought this location was very spacious and pretty clean. While I probably will not visit every weekend, I have a feeling that I might drop by 1-2 times a year.

I'm a big fan of the clown game. Came here with a $35 card just to play this specific game. Game tokens go a long way on some of the games and will vanish so quickly on others. GLOWS: - A good variety of games GROWS: - it was hard to find someone to load a new card for us. It was difficult to find the front desk with the different entrances -There was a horrible smell coming from the front area. Smelled like possible sewage. -Getting into the building was kind of confusing. Had to take an elevator up several flights and they were broken to come down. -I noticed there is some delay in balls being released on timed games. Its eating up 3+ seconds of game play.

I ordered food for delivery. The burger was fine but the chicken parm looked nothing like the picture! Even after warming it up it still did not look or taste appetizing. The pasta is just noodles with a bit of butter and cheese and the chicken parm is also missing seasoning.

No pool tables at this location, and to be honest, a game of pool is the only reason I'd ever visit a Dave and Busters.

Ask the Community - Dave & Buster's Silver Spring

What's the parking situation like? Garage?

Yes Garage. There is a parking that connects right to the mall. It's easy to miss. But if you find it you'll get to D&B with no problem. I forget the name of the street it's off of. Sorry. But perhaps the website might give better info.

We altered the mushroom special with half sausage. The three cheeses and the caramelized onions with balsamic made for a delicious pizza! The large pizza was so generous that we took leftovers home and enjoyed snacking on them for days. The waitstaff was great - checked in frequently and even teased us with humor when we requested a box to take home what we didn't finish. I really enjoyed the atmosphere- it truly felt like a neighborhood pub, and it was great to see the variety of ages of the patrons enjoying their meals. We will definitely return for another meal. My only suggestion is the beer selections should be clearer on the menu.

We just had a few ciders, and they were a dollar off. For food, I got the haddock platter that came with Old Bay potato chips and veggies. I really loved the fish and those chips, but I found the veggies to have more butter than I'm typically comfortable with. And to me it was just that, not necessarily seasoning to upgrade the flavor. Otherwise, the bar area can get a little tight during peak hours, and there are plenty of lower tables to sit at. Seems like the place can I get busy on any given day, but it's a vibe! Everybody is really nice. Parking can be a challenge I feel like (somehow I got the last spot)... If it fills up, the adjacent lot is adamant about the parking only being for the few restaurants there. And the street parking is going to be a gamble.

Food Highlights We started with the chicken wings in jerk seasoning, and they were a revelation. The seasoning was spot on-bold, authentic, and the perfect way to kick off the meal. For the main course, I opted for the "Ribeye Steak". It was tender, juicy, seasoned and full of flavor. The sides were on point too. I also added fried shrimp and a loaded baked potato that was cooked just right and the perfect complement to the steak. I also tried the Boom Boom shrimp that was extra crispy just like I like it and tossed in a spicy sauce that had just the right amount of kick! Everything came out hot and at the perfect temperature that I requested. Drinks & Atmosphere The drink menu is impressive, with a vast choice of beers and ales that would satisfy any craft beer enthusiast. The menu had mostly bar items with a few twists involved. The service was okay. We were there for multiple hours but had to flag down the staff a lot as we kept wanting to order. We ordered many items and my thoughts on each are below. Cauliflower Wings - We opted for the bee sting and Thai chili flavors. The Thai chili was okay, but the fried aspect was unreal. It was perfectly crisp and filled with the right amount of sauce. The bee sting was essentially a honey Buffalo, and it was tremendous. I could not believe how much I enjoyed these. It was a perfect complement of honey and Buffalo. Signature Sweet Bay Fries - These were crinkle-cut fries with a sweet bay seasoning and cheese sauce. Again, these were perfectly fried and had a ton of seasoning. The cheese sauce was a nice compliment but was not really needed. Spicy Tuna Bites - This came with crispy rice, sesame oil, and sriracha. This was not ideal. It appeared to be canned tuna, which was disappointing. It just felt fake to me. Crispy Cheese Curds - This came with a spicy soy ranch. Some of the cheese curds were inconsistent as they had no cheese, but the ones that did were solid. The soy ranch was definitely one of the more unique sauces I have seen, and it worked well with fried cheese. Loaded Nachos - This came with a cheese blend, Pico de Gallo, fresh jalapenos, sour cream, guacamole, and tortilla chips. It was nice to see the nachos on a flat board, so it was an even distribution of all the toppings. There was a great balance of all the toppings, and the chips stayed crisp throughout. Cheese flatbread with Hot Honey - This was not the best. Immediately biting into this, it tasted like canned tomato sauce. There was not enough hot honey present either. The crust was thin, but okay. Will I go back? Possibly.
