Celebrated my little nieces birthday and had dinner here as well. We arrived early to eat and then have time to play. Surprisingly, it was pretty empty when we arrived Friday evening. We were seated and our waitress came right on over to take our drinks. We all ordered something to eat and he made sure to keep our drinks refilled and that we had everything that we needed. Our service was good and the food well the food was ok. The arcade is great as there are many games to play from. The new VR rollercoaster was not worth the $5 a person fee as it was pretty boring and definitely needed improvement. I really don't like to leave bad reviews. I just can't let this one pass, Im still shocked and confused about the terrible service (the worst service) I have worked in customer service for 15+ Years (fast food, retail & business/ sales) I'm fully aware that as a customer, I will instinctively pay closer attention to workers and their customer service skills, however I always give the benefit of the doubt and in fact try to make their job easier and always make sure they get their well deserved tip etc. W/ that being said, I was taken aback from the waitress that was serving on Sunday 11/14, my family and I arrived at 7:24 pm (i looked back at my camera roll for reference) I thought it was a bit late and I understand it's probably frustrating to workers who are getting ready to end their shift. We didn't plan on feasting, we just wanted an appetizer and drinks. When we first walked in we were greeted by the front hostess girls, they looked genuinely friendly and welcoming, told us it was open seating and that the waitress would assist with game card purchases. So far so good. We made our way to the seating area and noticed all tables were either occupied or dirty. So we sat at a booth right next to a sign that read "Seating area closed" guess that was our mistake by sitting there but we sat there to get out of the way from standing in the middle of the dining area. (we have 2 squirmy little ones) it was easier for us - at the time - to sit on the side while waiting to be approached. Took 10-15 minutes for waitress to walk by, and tell us "This area is closed! I still need to clean the tables but go find somewhere else to sit" seemed like she was in a hurry and walked away. I didn't think anything of it -YET, but I was already uncomfortable. We sat at a table near by, she then comes to the table about 15 minutes later and tells us the QR code wasn't working so she slid 2 menus on the table, we are a family of 6. No big deal. But that's rude. She comes back to us shortly after to take our order (she seemed very irritated) I get it, it's D&B I don't expect a bow down service. But she was so rude right off the bat. She then leaves to get our order in, and comes back with our game card, I've thanked her 3 times by then (just so she knows I truly appreciate her service because at this point I felt like we were a huge bother, subconsciously I was being very apologetic for being a bother I guess - my flaw) I googled Dave & Busters hours just to make sure it wasn't closing time, but we still had plenty of time on the clock. Other customers were just arriving also. So that eased me up a bit about the situation. My husband and older kids went off to play games and I stayed at table with my 15 month old. Waitress comes back to drop off drinks, her face looks stone cold, i thanked her again, she didn't acknowledge me at all. Whatever, she must be short staffed, serving tables on her own. 5 minutes later, a gentleman who I assume works in the kitchen, comes out and sets down French fries / celery sticks / carrots and BBQ WINGS (we ordered that exact appetizer) and my thought was "WOW that was quick!" But he also dropped off some ribs / pork chops looking dish and I was just staring at it like "pretty sure we didn't order this" but I was second guessing myself thinking maybe my husband ordered it and I didn't even hear him! Regardless I didn't touch it! But the order didn't feel right, but the waitress wasn't approachable or friendly and no where to be found ! I wanted to ask her if that was our food! Despite the confusion I started going in on the French fries, after all I ordered French fries as a side either way, my daughter was eating the celery sticks dipping them into the ranch. Couple minutes pass by and im sitting there looking around for my husband and kids and the waitress comes out of the blue and says "that's not yours !" Takes the plates off the table and I'm shocked bc I had already double dipped fries. Literally had dipped French fries and celery sticks twice to ranch, fries were consumed by my daughter and I when she snatched the plates from the table. read more

In town for the weekend and came here with 4 friends trying to watch the last 30 minutes of the D Backs game. 30+ TVs and not one TV has a local sports game on. 5 stars simply for the service and atmosphere! We've been to this D&B probably 20 times. But last night our great experience started with Evan at the guest services desk handling all our questions and making us laugh. Through a great night of games, Ryan and the bar staff keep drinks coming fast. And when we finally sat down for dinner, Vicky went above and beyond in helping our party of 6. And an unnamed manager was super kind for even letting us use a free app and dessert from a coupon / voucher from 2017 that my wife just found lol. Food was good as usual and the boys loved their burgers, fish & chips and my wife really liked her chicken tenders dinner. What stole the show was the queso dip!!!! Have that if you are there. This review is strictly about gaming and drinks, no food. We went here as a party of 3 and had a pretty good time. There was a small wait at the bar but nothing too bad. We grabbed a few beers and went on our way. The games are reasonably priced and wait times aren't bad. The reason why this is 4 stars instead of 5 is because of how many games were broken or didn't work correctly. At least one game in every area is broken or not functioning correctly. Some of the games look like there hasn't been maintenance done in years. Also, the machine to reload chips was broken. Other than that, solid spot. read more

I went to the Dave and Busters in Tempe from Fountain Hills. I went many times to the one in Phx/Scottsdale and it was never even close to 2 stars. This establishment in Tempe is outstanding. I went with my grandsons and from the moment we walked in the door we were treated fantastic. We could feel the the vibe was better right away. I have always liked this Dave and Busters! I'm not much into the games and prizes but the people watching can be great. Most of time though my eyes are on the big beautiful TV's over the bar. The bar is my favorite hangout spot. There are often great drink specials, especially during Happy hour. Service has always ranged from good to great. The bartenders usually take good care of us across the counter. I really like the food at this Dave and Busters but that cant be said about the other locations I have been to. This is a great spot to bring the crowd or just a few friends. There is lots to do, and everyone seems to be having a great time. I need to hit up the craft beer night on the upper patio. read more

Legitimately the worst Dave and busters we've ever been too. I regret even spending $1 here. Would have had a better time, better food and better drinks at the bbq next door. The employees run around like chickens with their heads cut off, the bartenders breathe down your neck while trying to order group shots, and not to mention disappearing while trying to pay my bill. It's been well over five years since I've been here, but had an odd urge to go back. After reading my last review, my 'complaint' seemed to have been addressed: at the time, bar/food service was bad, but it's significantly better now... but that's ONLY reason why I'm giving 2 's instead of 1. The bar tenders & weight staff were plentiful and attentive. The rest of my experience was wretched! [forewarning: novel/rant ahead. I get overly verbose when tired & annoyed] SO...I was there on a Wednesday (albeit evening & it's half price day), but ended up going through the equivalent of $50 on the Star Trek coin pusher without new cards or the rando coin things (the blue and orange ones) that give you tickets! I felt like a dummy when the maintenance person FINALLY came around to refill the cards, but no other ticket incentives were added to the hopper. It feels selfish to assume half price days would be treated the same as normal priced days, but I was let down to say the least. I was still ticked that I missed out on those cards and tickets, but I blame myself for not paying too close of attention until it was too late. Then, I went to the Sponge Bob coin pusher and the machine I was on kept assuming I was double tapping and taking credits when only one coin would come out. I had put too many credits into the machine, so I had to ride through it. The Angry Birds coin pusher I was on (the only one functioning out of the two) was promising and fun, albeit expensive, even for a half price day, but the EFFING machine managed to break 1 second away from me hitting the red jackpot which also inevitably knocked down the tower.... And because it broke, IT DIDNT COUNT TOWARDS MY TICKETS!!! I tried to find a maintenance person to say something, but the only one I could find was back at the Star Trek pusher doing her thing. I tried to let her know about the Angry Birds thing & Sponge Bob issue, and albeit her being polite and professional, I definitely felt anxiety/stress/annoyance type of vibes off of her.... I didn't press my issue. Side note: given the maintenance woman I am speaking of is significantly shorter & much more petite of a woman than I am, while noticing she was the only maintenance person I found within a 500ft radius, I was appalled and concerned that she appeared to be alone! There were a LOT of people there the later it got... despite security cameras and such, I was concerned for her safety! (I may or may not watch too many crime shows for my own good, but it's a valid concern!). Also, some type of management really effed up with staffing: 10 waitresses but 1 maintenance person?! After all was said and done, I went back to check on prizes. A Roomba as the highest valued prize? I got mine off Amazon for $80... no thanks. Also, misses the mark on the target demographic in an arcade (what kid wants to win a vacuum?!) An Echo Dot for HOW MANY TICKETS?! (I can't remember the exact number, but it was well over the 30k mark) I see that thing on sale with a free Amazon music subscription for $10 every 3 Months!! The last thing of interest, kinda, was some odd version of Monopoly: the game everyone in the US owns in some form or another. Again: someone in management missing the mark. Between food, drinks and games (on a 1/2 price Wednesday during happy hour), BY MYSELF, I spent over $100 to get the equivalent of a dog toy in tickets and enough of a stick up my ass to post this review.... Great games, food, drinks, prizes, service! In contrast to TILT studio, D&B never disappoints. I fill my niece and nephews game cards and we have a great time, tons of games, the employees are always ready to reload your card if a game doesn't work and the prizes are really good. My niece and nephew love to play games that give tickets and they usually have a great shopping trip at the end. Both times we hit the D&B this summer they walked away with a huge bag of prizes. We also did the Jurassic Park VR and it was pretty sweet! I like that you can also have a drink and some apps or a meal here, so that you don't have to leave and come back when people get hungry. read more

This location is inside the marketplace, this was a perfect place to get out of the heat for a little and entertain the kids for about an hour. They don't charge for their Air Conditioning. Location was a pretty typical D&B layout, lots of different variety of games, seems like they generally place the larger interactive hoops, skeeball, carnival games on the outer edges, more video games centralized. Plenty of walking space between and around games, and lots of flashing lights to woo the children - and some adults. As with all of them, I kind of miss the instant gratification of rewards (machine spitting out a couple tickets), but I get it - we should be going green. But how about some alarms and more flashing lights? Good entertainment for the family and even for about an hour of playing you can still find your way to the WIN zone and redeem your winnings for small trinkets. Service was friendly and prompt. I mean, we enjoy sitting at the bar when we eat out, so if you get bad service at the bar, there is a problem. This was not the case so thank you!! I must have not really read the menu, just looked at pics, had no idea shaved brussel sprouts, broccoli slaw and a ton of other shaved veggies would be present...score!! The chicken was chicken,nothing special, its alright though, the dressing was good. I asked for a side of salsa, not a Mexican restaurant so being brought out a side of Pace is acceptable. The burger my boyfriend ordered was some sort of crazy contraption consisting of fried buffalo chicken, blue cheese, a burger and some other stuff, thing was HUGENORMOUS!and it came with TOTS!!! and they were good! All in all the food was good/average, it is not a big restaurant, it is a big game place for grown ups so all was acceptable and as expected. I'm keeping this review pretty short and sweet. My fiancée and I travel the country for work and D&B is our main go-to spot for arcade games. This was the worst experience we've had throughout the country. We came in yesterday, Wednesday, 4/13, and we tried somewhere around half a dozen to a dozen different games and EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. was either malfunctioning or broke down in the middle of us playing. I've never experienced anything like this before. It's really interesting because the dining area appears really nice and taken care of but the games in the arcade are very clearly not serviced at all. We were there for about 30 mins before we left and went to the Phoenix location instead. Don't waste your money here when there's two other D&Bs in the area. read more

Go for the games- not the food. I'm a gluten-free vegan so finding food at chain restaurants is extremely challenging, especially with celiac which means cross contamination is an issue. However, they did have some guacamole and chips I was able to order. And they were very careful (even putting a shield over the tray upon delivery) with my guacamole to avoid any dairy contamination (also and allergy). That part of the service I was grateful for. The chips, guacamole and salsa were all really good as well as the two drinks I ordered (Walk the Plank), also great. The rest of the service however was super, super slow. Everything was a wait, from placing an order to receiving food/drink. I'm not sure if they were super busy and short staffed (it was Saturday night) and we had eight in our party, but even the water took about 20mins to get. At some point there was a statement that desert should have been ordered "an hour ago" so the rest of my party would have had it after their dinner. This review has been a long time coming. Been using Yelp for over 9 years and told this establishment they would be my first review. Why do you ask? Cliff notes: great service, extremely accommodating, flexible and respectful. The food was good too and the place has something for everyone! The details: I had made a reservation WEEKS prior for my going away party since it would accommodate kids and adults in a fun environment. I call the day before just to make sure everyone is good and I get a green light. Show up 20 minutes to set up and I'm told there is a cover because the fight is playing tonight. Why was I not told this the entire time? I have almost 30 people about to show up and now there is a cover just to have food and drinks?!?!?! What could have been a fiasco turned out WONDERFUL since the manager was able to accommodate us. I knew we would be gone before the fights started and explained my situation. He actually listened to me, didnt make us have a minimum and really went a long way to make sure my going away party went on with success! Great communication with the staff to make sure my party knew where to go and feel welcomed. So thank you Dave N Busters for being amazing and I wish I could remember the managers name because he truly helped when the front was unwilling to help us keep our reservation during the fight. read more

Tom the server is a ray of sunshine. He's an incredibly perceptive server and has a very warm disposition. Very accommodating and can single-handedly make the trip worthwhile simply through his ability to curate a quality customer service experience. I came here on a Sunday evening. We decided to eat first before we played games. We were pleasantly surprised that they had all day food specials! Every single one of their *many* TVs had sports games playing on them. The dining area was packed. The place is seat yourself and as soon as we chose a table we were quickly greeted by our server. He was very attentive and understanding to some altered food requests that we had. I'm unfortunately on a diet so I stuck to a water, lettuce wraps, and a house salad for dinner. I was super envious of my hunnys food (pictured) and had to steal a few bites that were definitely against my diet. Afterwards we played some very fun games. Dave & Busters never dissapoints us! They have deals on ticket points to purchase to buy to play. When you purchase up front at the kiosk the employees always make sure you get the most bang for your buck. I've been frequenting this Dave and busters for years, mainly for salsa Havana nights on Weds and Sunday at 7pm with Brenda. It's always an amazing event and i highly recommend the lessons from 7-8:30pm, costs $5 to get in. Trivia Tuesday's are also great and come with a free arcade card you can use on the games after. Weds is also half off all the arcade games. Food is mediocre here but the arcade and other events push the 3 star food to a 4 star experience overall. Always a fun time coming here. read more
