I came here last night with a few friends at 10pm and played games for about an hour. We decided to head over to the bar and grab some dinner and drinks. We ordered our food from our server mikaela. She was great however, we ordered our food at 11:20 and didn't receive our meal until 11:50pm. We knew they closed at midnight because of their obnoxious loud speaker blaring they were closing every 10 minutes from 11:30-12. We rushed to eat, which was a little frustrating to say the least because we ordered 30 minutes prior to that. We received our check while we were still eating and paid it quickly. Before receiving our card back, their security guard came over at 12:05 saying "I'm not trying to be a dick but you guys need to get the fuck out of here so we can get the hell out of here too!" This was so disrespectful to say the least, not to mention we had just spent over $300 dollars there. We then spoke to a manager named Nick about this interaction who only seemed to only care about the fact that they try to get everyone out by midnight because of their liquor license preventing them to stay. This was completely irrelevant to what we were saying to him in regards to this security guard being so rude and disrespectful to us. His solution was to call back and speak to the general manager who was in at 9am the next day. This place is a huge disappointment to this community and I will not be returning back to this establishment under any circumstances. First time at this location, the less noisy dining area is where we ate, we had bad service from waitress. Our waitress had stuff missing that we ordered, brought the wrong burger ordered, when we gave her the plate back and asked for the right one she argued that it was what we ordered and said you ate most of the fries, ARE YOU GOING TO ORDER SOME MORE ) (while my pregnant sister, waiting hungry for 10 mins already) I told her" yea she was waiting on you to get here to change her burger and can I get more water please I know it got busy in here" she gave me a terrible look, said yea with an attitude and left 20 mins later still no water this sucks!!!! Lets see what happens now...... Told Manager he made sure to not charge for extra fries got our refills and took the burger off the bill! he was Great didnt get his name, but he made everything better by getting my water I was dying of thirst! BTW : the corrected burger ordered was brought to the table still bleeding when my sister said clearley 2times, WELL DONE! Do not eat at this restaurant. The food is overpriced, undercooked, and the service is so slow. Understandable if the restaurant was busy or if there was an issue in the kitchen, but the servers never addressed it and kept patrons continually asking for updates on service. They should also consider putting a bathroom in the restaurant area because you have to walk to the back of the arcade to use it - expect to take 15 min to/from bathroom. They should spend more effort on restaurant and make it a full experience. Disappointed arcade was awesome read more

I've been to many other locations and have always had great experiences. Tonight at the Thousand Oaks location was NOT one of them. Our food took almost an hour to get to us after ordering, and the last to come out was my two kids, Mac and Cheeses. How does Kraft Mac and Cheese take almost an hour?? I can whip that up in like five min... My wife's sliders came out with rock hard bread and shriveled pickles, had to send those back and it took another 15-20 min for the replacements. My food was great, I had sliders and ribs and all good there. The server then asked if we wanted anything for the inconvenience and we asked for an extra order of fries only......then those ended up on the bill!!!! WTF?!? After everything, the server never told a manager about our issues so we went and found one. He was great and apologized and gave my kids free play cards with $20 each, so that was cool. After that I went back to the bar where I had left a card open for a tab for before and after dinner drinks while gaming and closed out. My bill was over $40 for one drink and the bartender tried to argue that I had six drinks which I did not. He very reluctantly agreed to change the bill but continued to insinuate that I was not being honest about it. Again, no management involved. I'm not one to complain about stuff, but this was overall a very unacceptable encounter with everyone at this location. D&Bs is great, but this one needs some serious attention! read more

Came here to try it out after going to the other ones nearby. I must say this one is big. Much bigger than the other Dave & Busters. Everything is digital which is nice. No paper tickets. All digital. Very clean inside. I know it is a new location but it was really nice and clean. Not too crowded either. The games are new also. Would definitely come back here again. read more

My experience there was not good. I ordered a blue moon and they took long to bring it, when I took sip it didn't taste good or anything like blue moon. I told the server and he said he would be right back. Came back a few minutes later and said it was the bottom of the keg and that's why it did not taste good, that if I'd like to wait a few minutes for them to change it. I said sure I'll wait. I waited just to later be notified that they do not have blue moon at all that they ran out and to top it off they took a very long time to bring our food and not to mention they still charged me .59 cents for ranch. When I came out some one had hit my car. I know it's not their responsibility but they didn't help try and locate video footage or anything. Just a very bad experience there. read more

Came in today since my last experience was so nice. Had a smaller party this time and most of us got the bottomless wings. The wings were incredible and I felt the need to "update" my review because not only did we have another great experience, we were served by another young lady named Sarah (Sarah R) who was just as great as the one who served us before! Hands down Best bar tender service from Kassie! Felt like swinging by for the games but stayed for the wings and drinks !

Went for the first time for happy hour with some co-workers. Never got a chance to play any of the games because we waited over an hour for our drinks. Two hours later we got the last of our appetizers. Incredibly slow service and staff that seemed like they could truly care less that we were there. It's one thing to have this experience when a place was packed. When you are one of three tables it is inexcusable. I would not recommend The dining at D&B. My first experience with Dave and busters was horrible to say the least and it was a TO GO ORDER. I don't know who you can mess that up. Over the phone I asked her to read back what I told her. When I got to Dave and busters I was about to pay and saw that she got the order wrong. I then got asked to wait for a manager. I waited maybe 7 minutes, when he got there he said that he would expedite our correct food. We then waited almost 30 minutes for our correct food to come out. No more sign of the manager. Extremely horrible first experience. They said they would comp the wrong food and let us keep which was never done. I suggest they hire people with actual experience. Whoever took my order needs training on the menu or at least keep one up at the front with them. Manager was not seen at all after our food came out and they almost forgot to give us the rest of it again. I live three minutes away and I won't be coming back. Worst food ever. I'm in the food industry myself so I was pretty much disgusted by the food and the bar. To start the night my husband and I stood by the bar for 5 minutes while bartender after bartender didn't bother to ask us if we had been served or even a hello. I witnessed bar tenders throw their excess ice and liquid from their shakers on the floor of the bar. Pretty sure that's an accident waiting to happen and for sure unsanitary. The server we had was super pleasant but the food was just terrible. My steak came back BLOOD RED. They didn't even barely bother to cook it. My daughters chicken tenders were barely fried. My daughter also ordered one of those children's drink with the gummy bears which on the menu was purple and when she received it, it was black. As we all know kids love sugar but even my child said "mommy this is way to sugary I can't drink it" Over all it was a horrible dining experience. McDonalds does better. The server took my steak off of the bill bc even she could tell it was way to red. But still it was a waste of $100 we spent. This place is fun for games. But don't eat here. The restaurant has NO CLUE what they are doing. Same goes for the bar!! read more

It was my first time there. Hosted a kids' party. It wasn't as great as I had expected. Upgraded the kid game cards to have unlimited games. It wasn't really unlimited. Only the blue ones which weren't very many were but the green machines still drained the $$$ of the game cards. read more

The games are great and the bar is great but if you are looking for sit down food service go somewhere else and come here after. We went with a party of 20 on a holiday Sunday and although our server was super sweet there were major issues. We asked for separate checks (basic restaurant etiquette) and the waitress said sure i got it, but she didn't so we were tasked with struggling to divide meals and drinks amongst 20+ people, we ordered all our meals at the same time and yet some people had finished eating and paid their bill before other people even got their food (which came out cold). If you are planning on coming in hungry, bring snacks! It took about 45 minutes for a server to acknowledge us, then another 50 minutes ( plus another server ) to get the food. We ordered the plant based burgers, all of us, and after everyone ordered..... and we all ordered sides, the server informed us that they have been out of the plant based burgers for a while. Apparently they are trying to find a new supplier. To me this is kind of ( actually totally) unacceptable. Okay whatever. We will have two sides of fries, and chips and salsa. It took so long that I thought it would be fresh, nope. Not at all. I didn't expect decent food, but I also didn't expect snail slow service. I will never come back, not to eat anyways. If your looking to get a buzz, you may want to bring a flask. With all this said the servers were kind. Maybe the place is understaffed? Went in to watch the MacGregor-Cowboy fight and the place was super packed. I got lucky and was able to squeeze into my favorite server Korin's section. Thankfully there's tv's everywhere and facing all directions so you can see the fight from just about anywhere. Even though it was crazy my beer came quickly. Korin made sure my food came out fast as well. And even though she had lots of customers she checked on me frequently. A manager came by to make sure I was happy too. Too bad the fight lasted only 40 seconds but I still enjoyed my visit! read more

My husband and I had a pleasant experience at this Dave&busters. We had my son a last minute party of 30 people . Keep in mind we had no reservations But the team there made it possible. Our server Tatiana P was very attentive and handle are party like pro. She was amazing and made everything run smooth. Food was delicious and no mistakes were made. This place is AWESOME! So excited Thousand Oaks has a Dave & Busters!! This place is huge with so many arcade games. Not to mention the restrooms are so nice and cleanly, even offering toiletries; which you don't see at every D&B. The bar is so spacious with such nice and knowledgeable/helpful staff. Particularly Mishelle D. who was so friendly and welcoming making us feel comfortable as soon as we walked up to the bar. Worst service ever. From out of town visited friends. Ordered food took forever probably an hour. Then my husband ordered a frozen margarita with corona received an iced one. This location has some kinks to work out. We went there during the week for lunch and the service was good but the food was HORRIBLE. We ordered the pizza pull apart and I kid you not it came out with cheese that had not been cooked. Like nothing melted just shredded cheese. I sent it back and it came back with slightly melted cheese and a blob of sauce that was added to cover the unmelted parts that were still there. Didn't eat it but didn't want to bother the server anymore. The nachos had chips that weren't cooked all the way and we're chewy.Their philly cheese steak sliders had a tiny thin layer of meat which was a joke. I could go on and on but everyone's dish had problems. This location is smaller then the other ones so trivia isn't there and such. All in all I hope they get it together but in the meantime I'll be going to the one in Arcadia. read more

Just came in with my husband and 2 children ages 3 and 5 and some friends and their daughter. We almost didn't come because of al the bad reviews but definitely come by and give it a shot. They have a lot of bar seating area so we sat at an empty table otherwise the wait would've been 45 min. The service was good and while our food came out we played a few games. We got our food in about 15 minutes, and it was very good! We got food off of the eat and play combo and had had sliders ribs fries and wonton nachos all hot and delicious. My husband couldn't stop raving about how cold the beer was lol so that's a plus. We all had a really great time there is a good mix of games for adults and kids and we will definitely coming back with out the kids for a date night. The parking lot was full of cars but it's so huge inside it didn't feel packed at all we got there around 1:40 and when we were leaving around 3:50 there were people piling in and there was a very long line at the door read more

Fun for an hour of video games but super, super loud. My ears were actually ringing afterwards like we took the kids to a club. If you have younger kids make sure you are gone by 630-700pm before it gets boozy. At least on weekends. From what I could tell, not a lot of happy restaurant patrons, but maybe just opening month pains to work through. The automated machines were on the fritz when we were there as well. I'm going to preface this comment by saying that for me to be giving a 1 star review and writing this negatively about a place of business it takes a lot, i am not one to write negatively about my service as I was a server/bartender when i was younger and understand the pressure and difficulties that can arise in the food industry. Additionally i am always looking to promote businesses even if the service was subpar, that being said here's my review. My family and I went in today instead of going to lazy dog so that we could have a nice meal (or so we hoped) as a family and then play some games once we were done. The entire experience was the COMPLETE polar opposite. There was no one to seat us when we walked in for starters and we waited at the front for a good 5 minutes and still no one asked if we were waiting to be seated so having two very hungry kids we took it upon ourselves to seat ourselves in an area where plenty of other people were sitting. We sat at our table without so much as a glance in our direction, there were PLENTY of servers, food runners and bartenders walking around and hanging out chatting and so I decided to time it and wait and see how long it took. Well I never got to find out because at 10 minutes my wife was so fed up she went and got the attention of one of the bartenders who said he was send someone over immediately. Well we must have different definitions of immediately because I watched him to see how quickly he'd get the attention of a server and send them our way. He went about his day pouring drinks and then when it was convenient he sent a server over and said server did not immediately come over, it took another 10 for a total of 20 minutes that we'd been sitting at our table completely unattended or acknowledged. At this point I was done and if it wasn't for my kids being so hungry and additionally so excited to play games after lunch we would have walked out. Our server then walks over takes our drink order, the delivery of our drinks took at least another 10 minutes, I only note this because my wife and I chatted for a bit and since we were still waiting I decided to go up to the front and purchase the coin card for the games, which I must say was the only pleasant experience during lunch as the girl up front was very friendly and helpful. I come back to the table and the drinks are just now arriving. Our server disappears for a while and I have to flag him down to tell him that we need menus so that we can decide what we want to order, he goes to get the menues and disappears again. Some more time goes by and he's nowhere to be found and so i have flag down another server and ask for our server and tell him were ready to have our food order taken. The food comes out in a decently timely fashion, however the food runner was a complete asshole. My wife and I ordered a few appetizers to share and he pulls a plate off the tray and I told him you can just put that in the middle, he places it directly in front of me, so I thought to myself "ok whatever no biggie." He then proceeds to set the other three appetizers in front of me, staring me down as he does so. Then he gets to my kids meals which are clearly kids meals and I told him those are for the kids, still staring at me with no communicative interaction places my sons Mac and cheese in front of me. My wife sees what's going on and says "those are for the kids" he ignores her and places my daughters cheeseburger in front of me as well, he then just proceeds to walk away without and single inquiry as to if we need anything (we did) or "have a nice meal" just walks away. Now we're sitting here with no silverware. Our server and three other servers are sitting in the back of the room behind the bar docking around and talking, he was completely unaware that the food had just been delivered and did not come over to see how it was, if we needed anything etc. We waited another period of time until finally my wife got up and walked across the restaurant to ask for napkins (which we'd previously asked for an never gotten) and silverware. She makes mention to our server how bad the service was so far and everything that had transpired. He did not immediately go get a manager to try and alleviate the beyond crap service we'd received this far. He came over asked if we needed anything and then disappeared. Throughout the course of our entire meal (20-30 minutes) we never saw him once, he never came over to check on how the food was etc, to the contrary I had to get up and go find him where he again was just standing around to ask for another side of ranch for my wife for the wings we ordered. read more

We came for our first time at this new location, we patiently waited at the bar while it was 10:45 pm and really busy. I work in a restaurant business so I feel bad asking for something when I can tell a worker is busy, finally we ask a woman bartender for drinks and she gives us attitude and a rude remark. It's a fun place to go for a birthday party can be a little over priced but the games are fun and prizes and especially the VR is great.
