Any review comes down to what you order and how the service is so no two reviews will be the same but I have eaten here 3 times now with different meals and based on a co workers experience with the burgers I tried bobs bacon cheeseburger with tots. I ordered my bacon cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato and raw onions with no condiments like ketchup etc for an unbiased tasting of the cheeseburger with American cheese. My take out container was weighty and looked good. The cheeseburger was big and no recently popular thin burger smash burger with 3 whole strips of bacon. The tator tots were crisp on the out side soft and chunky on the inside. The toppings were fresh as the bun. The burger was not seasoned but salt helped with a good char broiled flavor which is the bomb for me. The cookie is always a nice touch with the sandwiches. Very welcoming and accommodating place. Stopped here on our way back from the state fair to watch the rest of the Brewers game. The hostess and staff were very friendly. They took care of us promptly. Ordered a dozen of the hot wings w/blue cheese for an appetizer. Some of the best wings that I've had in a long time. Beer was nice and cold. Met up with a group of friends for a 60th birthday celebration. This was my first time here and everything was great. First off it was Taco Tuesday and they had $4.00 fish, chicken or beef tacos. They also had $4.00 margaritas or $10 dollar pitchers of margaritas, they even have the margaritas on tap! They also had $3.00 Coronas. Our group opted for 2 large pizzas, one was the meat lovers and the other was veggie. The pizzas were delicious, the crust was super thin and crispy, just the way I like it. Cheese curds are not curds but fresh fried queso blanco. Served lukewarm, with marinara, and greasy see photo. We really wanted breaded curds! We each tried them and didn't like them at all. Maybe if they would of been hot. Bacon burger ordered medium rare. I swear the grey meat tasted and looked raw. See photo. Bottom of bun was soggy & there was no color on the meat so not sure but they seemed like frozen hamburger patties not hand made patties. Big thick raw onion slices with leaf of lettuce and tomato. Tots were the only thing hot, $2 upcharge. Burgers come with chips or tater salad. We also had a small pepperoni & sausage pizza. Nothing spectacular about this either. Waiter had several tables and didn't come back to check on us. However we did get a visit from a woman with our "cheese curds". She said they were curds. They are not. She said they just came out of fryer. They did not. She said she would not refund them because we didn't like them. She implied we ate too many of them. She said there were 14 in the basket which there was not. There were 8 left. We did not eat 6! She was determined to be correct instead of saying she would reheat them she was more happy with being her form of correct. We needed a water refill. So I went up to the bar and waited a few minutes while a gent was counting money. When he saw me he said I don't work here. I said I only need a glass of ice water! Went on a Friday night to meet a friend and grab a couple of beers and a pizza. Never been here before but probably won't go back. I noticed this was a Bucks bar network bar so I assumed the sound of the game would be on, but it wasn't. I asked someone who looked like a manager and he kind of shrugged me off and said they sometimes put the sound on. Instead we had to listen to soft classic rock which was surprising being a Bucks bar network bar. The food was reasonably priced. We ordered a pizza and some cheese bread. The cheese bread was fantastic but the pizza not so much. Although the pizza looks appealing and was huge, it was one of the worst pizzas I've ever had. The sauce was tasteless and honestly it tasted like frozen pizza. My friend even agreed with me that a Jacks pizza would have been better. Good specials for the game but the pizza was bad. read more

I was at double D's for several hours during a packed game. My family spent over $350 on the dinner during the first half of the game. After our tab was closed, a refill soda water was ordered and I was charged $5. I was very disappointed to be charged $5 for water after several hours at the restaurant paying for alcoholic drinks, after giving service to the restaurant. Very solid neighborhood place! Snowmageddon 2024 brought us in to get out of the house and enjoy some bar food and the football game. Our waitress was really great! She was friendly and took good care of us. We started with drinks and fried pickles. The pickles were very good and we liked the ranch that came with. Then we had some nicely presented and fresh tasting side salads. I ordered the fish sandwich and my husband had the wings. Both were a-ok. Not the best bar food we have ever had but solid. We decided to take a pizza home to eat this weekend and it was GIANT. Really crunchy crust and nice toppings. Highly recommend the pizza. I like my sausage pieces a little smaller but otherwise really good! Lots of TVs and fun atmosphere. The music and volume was way too loud at points. Could hardly hear my husband talk and he was right next to me. Thankfully they got it figured out before everyone got a headache. Stopped by during a Packer game and sat at the bar. Service was great. The bartender was very attentive. The food is your typical bar food; it wasn't great and it wasn't bad. I ordered the 1/2 nachos. They were very salty. I suspect it's because the meat was seasoned and the chips were seasoned. If they backed off the salt they would have been very good. My husband got the chicken tenders. The tenders are white meat and there were 5-6. They were good. There was someone in the bar (I suspect the owner) that was on a mic during commercial breaks announcing raffle winners. He was way too loud and would use the microphone to stir the bucket full of tickets. I couldn't wait to leave simply because of that. Not sure I'll be back. read more

The food selection is standard fried bar food. The drink menu is the standard list you would expect to find at a Wisconsin bar. The server was really nice, even bringing out an additional entree to appease a what I think is a picky eater. The decor is heavily sports themed with pictures, jerseys and many tvs hung throughout. I think there is a tv viewable from every seat in the house. It might not have what game you want to watch but there will be sports on for sure. Fun atmosphere and friendly staff. Stopped in with the family for a few appetizers. We ordered the sampler and nachos, both of them were large portions and tasted great! The only thing I would change are the jalapeños on the nachos. I prefer the pickled peppers instead of fresh. I've been coming to this place when it was located in East Troy. Had the best burgers around! But recently they just don't taste the same anymore. I'm assuming they changed their beef supply... very disappointed that I can't come back to have that burger I've grown to love. read more

So we are repeat customers. Yesterday was definitely a let down. I ordered the chicken sandwich with no tomato add blue cheese as I have before. I received a chicken sandwich with tomato and no blue cheese. Are waitress was somewhere, for awhile, because I finally had to go and look for her. She said she'd get to it so I had to take the sandwich back to the table. She came to get it. Took it. Brought it back cold with no melted blue cheese as usual, but a sandwich that looked like soup with a huge ladle of cold blue cheese in it. But after our second trip to Double D's in the past six months, we may have solved our dilemma. Last night was wing nut and we were pleasantly surprised. Price is right: 75 cents each and a pint-sized tap beer for $2.50. Waitress was very friendly and handled everything well. Cigarette smoking is apparently allowed on the patio while other people are trying to eat their dinner. The male server was a bit snarky Because we wanted to move back inside to eat because of the cigarette smoke on the patio. The food was OK. Dessert was good. Obviously must've been understaffed for an early dinner Friday. Parking is great but the entrance from Hwy one hundred is a little narrow so you need to be careful when you walk out of the pub to go to your car because people are flying in. I will not be returning to double D's but if you turn it into a double B's barbecue restaurant, I will be back. I did not see anything barbecue on the menu. read more

Three of us had a late lunch on Saturday and we all were extremely pleased with the food. Fabulous waitress and atmosphere. The only suggestion I have is that they would offer a dark beer on tap. They have 5 IPAs change one out to Dark craft beer not Guinness in a bottle. read more
