First time going to Opening Day in many many years,so decided to go to Jackson's and use their shuttle to the game and grab a bite before the game.Jackson's has a fairly large pub style menu, appetizers, burgers, assorted sandwiches and a fish fry.Ordered a Patty Melt with onion rings (strings) and a Corona to start off with.My friend ordered the brisket sandwich and a Athletic N/A.The food came out pretty quickly, considering how busy it was with the Opening Day crowd. The problem with mine, was that it wasn't really a Patty Melt, instead just a burger (albeit decent burger) on toasted rye bread. It had the grilled onions and cheese, but just wasn't what a Patty Melt should be.The second issue was they brought me fries instead of the Onion Strings I had ordered (and paid extra for). The waitress noticed and said the Onion rings would be right out. What she brought was a little bowl of Onion Strings, not what seemed like the full order it should have been. All in all it was a little underwhelming, although the service was quick and efficient. There was just something a bit off and it,left me a little disappointed.

    Deep Fried Oreos! So good.

Always a great experience here. From the food, to the service, to the fun atmosphere. My family and I usually get the burger, tosa chicken sandwich and deep fried Oreos when we come. All delicious. They have a wonderful outdoor patio in the summer months!

First time visiting Jackson's. Sunday is half priced apps and $6 Bloody Mary's. We enjoyed the cheese steak rolls, cheese curds, seasoned fries, and the wings. Wings were nice size with the dry rub and spicy garlic seasoning. Apps were all nice sized for 4 of us to all share. I had the Tosa grilled chicken on the Ciabatta bun. It was very delicious with plenty of bacon. Service was amazing and friendly. The manager stopped by to check on us a few times which was nice to see. The place is very spacious with a separate dining and bar areas. Plenty of TVs to watch the game too. Overall a nice place with excellent food and friendly service. We'll be back!

Amazing service here, our waitress was so nice! We came on a Wednesday night and they had $1 wings and $3 bottled domestic beers. We also ordered tater tots and reuben rolls. Great way to start off my trip in mke! People were out here sitting in the patio celebrating summer! Amazing vibe and feel

I pass by this place every day to/from work for a couple years and honestly haven't been because I always thought it was a tacky dive bar given the PBR association (and undergrad memories). But ever since the weather started getting warmer, I've noticed that it has been PACKED so I finally decided to give it a try. Color me pleasantly surprised?! They've got great daily deals on drinks and food. Came on a Weds and they had $3 domestics and $1 wings. Even with coming in with low-ish expectations, the food was unanimously GOOD. WINGS: list of 8-10 flavors, I tried garlic parm and stinging honey, spicy garlic. Comes with a giant sauce cup of ranch or bleu cheese and a ... small amount of celery. You obviously don't come here for ur veggie fix BRISKET ROLLS: very savory, comes with jalepeno ranch dip. Good sized, super crispy LOADED PORK TOTS: the star of this was the onion string, the tots were good too! As a dish in its own, super solid. Although after wings and brisket, I think I was feeling all the salt Service was so friendly! And they have shuttles to/from brewers games and some big events. Outside patio + open air concept makes it so nice in the summertime. Really hoping to actually come here more often since it's so close to home!

Loved the cheese curds and great Friday Fish Fry! Service was great and the setting was classic for a PBR pub!

I've been coming to this place for a few years now and this guy Matthew never seems to disappoint.

Stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon for a late lunch, early dinner and the service was friendly and it had a neighborhood vibe even though it is on Bluemound Rd. Super clean and the special Tuesday of BYOB (build your own burger) for $8 was fantastic! My husband had a hot honey chicken sandwich was good too! We will be back when it is cool enough for the garage doors to be open!

The decor of this place is a mix between corny and cool. They definitely are capitalizing on PBR apparently allowing them to use their branding. The inside is very clean and inviting with plenty of seating in numerous parts of the building The bartender was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Even being bombarded with PBR marketing materials, I opted for a delicious Lakefront IPA. Luckily, she informed me that the larger one was on special for $5. The food was decent for bar food with the Buffalo chicken wrap being average at best. Luckily the cheese curds sent this meal over the top as they were some of the best I've ever had! Overall a great place for some cold beer and decent bar food.

I came here to watch a game with some friends on a snowy night. It was pretty quiet when we got there around 5 but picked up as the night went on The decor...first thing in noticed is there isn't too much sports memorabilia on the walls. People have commented on that and I'm torn..the walls do look a little bare but overall its a nice clean look that eliminates that kind of junky look sports bars some times take on. TVs..lots of them! Its easy to watch a game here and the high top tables and chairs were very comfy...bar seats looked similar. We got appetizers to share at the table..fried pickles (whole picke spears!), quesadillas, and wings. The wings came eith with both blue cheese and ranch that were very good and lots of carrots and celery. All the apps were decent but wings were my favorite. They had a happy hour special (I think $2 off most drinks?) They had a decent amount of NA drinks and I had an athletic IPA and Heineken 0. Our server was the nicest girl and she got us our food super quick and accommodated all our requests. Another great perk is the parking lot in the back! North Ave can be busy for parking alot of times Final result - im a fan! Great game watching spot in east Tosa.

I asked what time the kitchen closed--got a flat "10" from the bartender. It was almost 11, so fine. Then I asked about their Bloody Mary mix. Instead of a simple answer, he launched into some condescending monologue about how they make their own, but only for the daytime crowd--when people "actually drink Bloodies." Cool, thanks for the attitude. It was clear pretty fast that this guy had no interest in being remotely welcoming. I pivoted and ordered the Lambeau Leap Mule. Turns out they were out of melon liqueur--whatever, it happens--but instead of offering literally any substitute (ever heard of schnapps?), he just dropped the other ingredients on the bar and walked away. No comment. No effort. Then, because this trainwreck wasn't done, he got into a heated scheduling argument with his younger coworker right in front of us. Completely unprofessional and incredibly awkward. I mentioned we might leave, and he scoffed. Like we were the problem. Round Two, better than the first but still mediocre at best. I am relatively certain this was a different person but the vibes were the same, think hipstery gatekeeping bartender meets bare minimum effort. Unsure if I will try again.

How are local people not talking more about this spot?! What a hidden gem! 1st and Bowl is unique "sports bar" with so many fun things to do for people of all ages. The gaming areas included separate spaces for kids and adults, like the football bowling & connect-4 basketball. There were also pickleball courts, cornhole boards, billiards tables, golf simulators, lots of screens with different live games on, and in my opinion, the creme de la creme: the Nerf Wars arena. Lights off, black lights on, all out fun! I haven't had that much excitement playing with Nerf guns in years! Some other things observed but didn't get to experience were the full bar and a full kitchen --both looked clean, well stocked, and ready for orders. Lots of comfortable seating, tables, and little private "rooms" around the courts to chill in while playing/eating. All of the separate areas looked very clean and organized, with clearly written game instructions for the various games visible by each court. From what I saw and experienced on the day I went, I'm pleasantly impressed with this place. If you're looking for a new place to have a kid's or adult's birthday celebration, a place for a first date (or 2nd or 3rd!), something to do on the weekend with your kids, a place to hang out casually with friends, family, coworkers, literally whatever the occasion -- than look no further than 1st and Bowl.
