Food was out of this world we had a homemade meatloaf dinner with french fries and fresh vegetables and gravy we also had a Thanksgiving sandwich on Texas toast bread with homemade potato salad it was remind me so much of my grandmother's. The food came out hot and fresh and quickly the service used social distancing and face coverings. It was very friendly and helpful. Explain everything. They also took cash which was wonderful as we do not usually use credit cards of any type. We're looking forward to going here again as we used to but we will go to the cape to go fishing many times during the week. It is definitely a worthwhile trip to take that extra mile off the highway into Wareham to eat. We also took home some homemade oatmeal raisin and chocolate chip cookies. My experience today was horrible. Been going there 7 years. Extremely slow service. Had to reorder part of meal as it was wrong. Waiter(later found out it was the owner/manager. He was on the phone when I got there and on the phone again after I ate. Should we have to wait while someone talks on the phone? No. If the person, regardless of who it is, should take a break and have someone else cover your table. Was many people waiting to pay so they could leave. Good place for breakfast, fast , good service.. have not tried lunch selections. The eggs and sausage where excellent, crepes and pancakes are decent. Great place for a quick breakfast. The strawberry shortcake, blueberry pie was excellent. In my opinion they should cut there menu in 1/2 and just make those items locally supplied and fresh. Over all a good experience.... I love a good diner. This one is a little worn around the edges, but that adds to its charm as far as I'm concerned. Friendly service, good diner food. The pastrami was done just right. Don't be scared by the bulky roll, the proportion of pastrami to roll were perfect. (But they do have other bread options.) Husband had biscuits and gravy and said they were good too. This morning I drove to Wareham with friends to enjoy a breakfast at the diner. We were immediately seated at a largge table between two booths as our party was six. Both booths had not been bussed. It was a little too much but I said nothing. A good ten minutes went by before a waitress came by producing menus and taking out drink order. I expected her to arrive with coffee in one hand mugs in the other asking who wants coffee. Another ten minutes before our waitress returned with drinks. A long time for three kids... We placed our order and waited another thirty minutes for the food. All the whiile no waitress to refill our drinks and I should mention the booths on either side of our table were never bussed. It wasn't until a girl-not our waitress came with part of our order I asked if the booths were going to be cleared as it was unpleasant too look at (wish I used my camera for the visual). Her reply, I'm working the other end! But a few minutes later the wait staff arrived one at a time bussing the booths while we "enjoyed" our breakfast. FOOD: My scrambled eggs with cheddar were cooked as ordered along with corn beef hash. The potato unfortunately were under cooked and warm not hot. My friends eggs were cooked but same regarding potatoes. Two of the kids had pancakes which were overcooked dark brown. Kids don't like food that appears to be burnt. The final "fly" on the ointment, the mens room. I'm nit going to go into details but "filthy" is the appropriate adjective. If I had visited the mens room prior to eating I would have cancelled my order. I'm very disappointed as I've eaten here before with better service. I doubt I will return after the bathroom. There are just some things you can't overlook. I didn't say anything to my friends but I think they were polite as I had suggested the place. read more

Last Saturday we stopped here to have some breakfast while on the way to The Cape for a few days of r&r.Pulled into the parking lot and noticed that the exterior was in desperate need of some t l c .Being a diner guy, I knew that we could be pleasantly surprised once we went in. Kinda the same on the inside but,it looked neat and clean. We sat down and we were greeted with a big smile and a friendly hello,which was a good start. We each had an omelet that arrived quickly and both agreed that everything was tasty. Nice place with really good service. It is old and for me, that is part of the character and charm. So if you want to walk into a place that is 50 years old and expect modern convince, do not bother. If you want to go into a place though that is true to its roots and sell the standard diner food, at the proper price along with the proper attitude, you should enjoy yourself. As mentioned in other posts, the food is not thing special, buit that does not mean it is not good. Not sure how one makes a fried or scrambled egg special, so just keep that perspective and you should be okay. read more

Awesome hidden spot! It's really an old diner that needs renovations but its clean and the wait staff was great. My order consisted of a 'South Wareham Omlette (steak, peppers, onions, cheese)' and a side of corn beef hash. The meal was awesome! Fresh and tasty. I stopped in for breakfast this morning. There were two waitresses, one was in training and the other obviously had been there a while. I seated myself at the counter order coffee which I got immediately and the waitress came back in two minutes took the order and in less than five minutes I had my food. I decided on the sausage gravy eggs and home fries and everything was cooked to perfection. It is an old diner, obviously has been here forever, but the inside was very clean including the bathroom. The other guy that gave this place a one star rating is obviously not a very easy person to get along because I see no reason to give it one star. Anytime you drag your kids along to eat in a restaurant setting it's obviously going to create more stress. Next time buddy, try taking your kids to a buffet so they can be instantly gratified. read more

Was always happy going there until Sunday August 30 .We were served our coffee and orange juice after a while but I guess we were invisible after that .We watched as people that had come in 15 to 20 minutes after us received their food and we were not even acknowledged .Finally after 45 minutes and everybody but us served we got up and left with no apology at all .If you are going to visit this establishment do it during the week .The waitress is the best I have ever dealt with .If you do good there on the weekend and sit outside .Stay on the right side she covered her area plus the other one.
