Found here on Yelp while on vacation. Cute place, but worn. Could use a little spiffing up, but we came to eat. The greeting wasn't overly warm or friendly, but we were greeted, given a wait time and chose to stay. We were seated in great time. Lots of choices on the menu! They have this amazing grilled corn bread and we were not disappointed! Everything was really good, came out quick. You get a little coupon for a free 1/2 loaf of cornbread on your next visit. The food is consistently good but more importantly this is a great place to go if you're trying to take your kids out for a meal. The waitstaff and patrons are all incredibly kind and understanding, truly I've never had a problem bringing my now toddler here. Since we started taking him out to eat they've always been patient and understanding, today when they ran out of crayons our waitress instead procured a hot wheels car and Pokémon card to help us help him while we waited to be seated then waited for food. Percy's is defiantly a gourmet greasy spoon and not just a regular greasy spoon. Stopped by for a quick breakfast today and walked out saying hell ya this place is delicious. Now as my tastebuds savors the menu I noticed all things pointed into the direction of the " 6 hour hash "! Now I'm a huge fan of corn beef hash yet your never completely sure what you'll receive when plate arrives. The moment of truth arrived and at first I was kinda disappointed, however it was LOVE AT FIRST BITE! Some of the finest hash I've ever enjoyed, so it's proof of don't judge your hash by the look. Whom ever made this defiantly worked for 6 hours of hash craftsmanship to bring it to my plate. I'm defiantly going to stop by again for some of the other treats I saw on the menu. Better than it had been in the past... but still the wait for the food was slow, and the waitresses personality wasn't good at all, as she seemed like she just didn't want to be there. The highlight of Percy's was definitely the food... everything was made well and was good. Ordered two orders of the 2 slices of French toast and 2 orders of the scrambled eggs, homefries, and toast. Let me just say, we were referred here by a family friend. We were disappointed the French toast was the worst part of the breakfast... way too thick, it just seemed like too much bread and not enough French lol. We took a few bites of one slice and couldn't stomach the other slice. Money wasted because we didn't eat the French toast. Homefries were the best part, they were good. Eggs were just ok. Usually this place is not so good in my opinion. However, one particular waitress (Brittany) went above and beyond her job title even on a busy weekend morning. She was most attentive server I've had in a long time. Very sweet, and efficient! Non-stop conversation in between her busy table section, suggestive on not only the food items, but ingredients too. On top of that, my friends allergy to eggs did not seem to be a problem to Brittany considering she probably has to tell the kitchen and seeing how it's a breakfast place, it would be awfully challenging to accommodate. As fas as food goes, my eggs benedict was pretty decent, and the cornbread was fantastic per usual. My friends salad was awesome too (and yes, no problems there!) Saturday morning (well more like noon) breakfast? Let's hit up Percy's. I think I've been to all their locations and generally had a good experience. Kingston may be the best though. Of course, I ordered CBH and two over easy. Threw a curveball in there or splitting some biscuits and gravy with my partner. So the CBH was good. Savory flavor and a nice little char put on the flattop. It was somewhat mushy and a better texture would have improved the experience. The B&G was a disapointment. Biscuits not light and fluffy but dry and cake like. The gravy was not so hot either. Next time I stick to just my eggs and CBH. read more

Fathers Day and the wait group out the door into the parking lot! Amazing large breakfast and lunch menu and wait the worth about 1 hour, otherwise I would have gone to another place but since it was Fathers Day, I thought all other restaurants would also be that busy. The waitresses were friendly, the coffee was good. Prices were moderate, extra sides I thought pricey Food took about 20 minutes to come to the table I ordered a omelet special, a 3 egg omelet with chunks of BBQ chicken, avocado and Jack cheese. It was delicious. I had a side of marinated mushrooms and they were yummy as well as my grilled English muffin. 2 sides choices came with my entree called "sunshine sides" and other menu choices of sides were I thought a bit pricey. My other dining mates ordered a vege omelet, eggs with a side of turkey bacon which I was told the best turkey bacon he had .The homefries I was told were also delcious. Portions were plentiful .Looking at what others ordered such as pancakes etc, diners left their plates clean. On the way out one gets a coupon for a free cornbread on their next visit there. Drove by all the time and finally stopped in. Did we regret finding this gem sooner! Corn beef hash... Unbelievable!!!!! I always get that with a list of sides to order from. I've gotten the corn bread, hash brown, mushrooms, toast, pancakes as sides before and they are all amazing. And they give u a free (1/2) order of corn bread for your next visit. My bf has had the endless eggs before... yes, endless! He ate half a dozen and couldn't do it anymore. Even that order came with sides!! There are cute wall hangings everywhere and even games on the tables/ booths to keep occupied while you wait for the food. But I must say they are quick!! We bring everyone who visits us here for breakfast. The waitress/ hostesses are unbelievably nice. They have a cute waiting area which is also a mini gift shop. My husband and I find ourselves here once a week. The food here is great and the portions are huge for the price. I always try to try something different but you can always find me with a slab of their cornbread! I have nothing bad to say about Persy's. Great place! Came here with my cousins and we were all happy about the food and service! Got seated quickly and our server was super nice and helpful. The food itself was great. The only thing I have to stay is that the steak could use more flavor and it was on the dry side. But the portions were a good size. My wife & I have been going to this place for about 5 or 6 years and it's been okay. The food hasn't changed much and I like the endless eggs. But they are cooked on a flat top grill instead of an egg pan which greatly decreases the flavor and quality of the eggs. Because of that I only eat my eggs scrambled here. The toast isn't toasted but just warmed bread with very little crunch and it's not even cut. The service was good before but that seems to have depreciated. When we first started going here we would see the same servers and it created a friendly welcoming atmosphere. Now it seems as if there are new servers every time we go. Young & inexperienced at that. We walked in and it took five minutes to seat us in a quarter full dining room. The girl that seated us didn't offer us anything. We waited another five minutes just to get coffee as server after server walked by us. The one that brought us coffee wasn't our server and we waited yet another five minutes to place our order. It took ten more minutes to get our food. So right there it was about a half hour before we could eat breakfast. It shouldn't take so long. The server never once offered us refills for our coffee and we had to ask. We'll still go here bc our drs. office is right next door and I like the endless eggs. I just hope the servers stay and learn how to become more efficient and the food improves. read more

Man, I would LOVE to give Persy's more than one star, as I used to love their restaurant in Hyannis, but this was not the delicious unique breakfast I remembered from my days of yore. For starters, we waited over 45 minutes for our food, on a day when there wasn't even a wait to be seated, so I'm not sure what could've justified the wait, but it was rough, to say the least. Breakfast is usually so fast! If I were waiting on a duck confit with roasted root vegetables, that's another thing entirely, but eggs, grilled tomatoes, and fish cakes? 15 minutes, tops. I have other input I'm going to refrain from mentioning here, as I don't think it helps anybody and was likely a fluke even the one day I went, but I will say that the food was nearly inedible. I don't know how you eff up a grilled tomato, but it tasted AWFUL. The fish cakes were just some canned tuna and random vegetables slapped into a patty and thrown into a pan, and the "marinated mushrooms" were no more than button mushrooms sitting in a pool of Italian dressing. I wish I could say "at least the corn bread was still good," but again, not what I remembered. Will not be returning, and while I hate for the wait to be even LONGER at Dave's, I'm going to recommend to anyone reading this review that you skip Persy's and head straight to Dave's Diner down the street. read more

Once upon a time I was a regular here. My overall thoughts: On the pricier end for simple breakfast food, but I always enjoy my meal here. The lines can get crazy on Sunday mornings. The coffee isn't very good. Rustic homey feel Hash Benedict and well-done homefries is my go-to here. read more
