We were in the area and have heard a few different things about Dave's and decided to grab some food. We ordered online and drove by for pickup. Thankfully, the food was ready quickly, although there was a bit of a wait from the customer ahead of us. Looking inside, it wasn't the cleanest with trash over a bunch of tables, but hopefully it's just from a busy day from earlier. We took our order home and were very happy to open our boxes. The loaded Mac and fries were very full, and I especially enjoyed the amount of sauce added. It was just enough with the Mac and cheese to keep things saucy and not dry, but not too overwhelming. We didn't realize it would be Mac and cheese and chicken on top of fries, though. We thought it would only be loses on Mac and cheese. This was a pleasant surprise! The sliders were a big highlight for me. I got mild and my husband got hot, and they were perfect. The mild had just a subtle and slight kick with tons of seasoning and flavor. The hot had a creeping spice that hit a bit after, which was nice. We really enjoyed the quality of the chicken. They were large pieces and we had a good amount of pickles and slaw, making a great slider. The fries were also seasoned perfectly, adding great flavor to each crunch. My husband is a huge Zaxby's fan and has mentioned how unfortunate it is that there are none in California. Dave's Hot Chicken is exceptionally similar in the seasoning, quality, and options. Although the items are a bit pricey, they rival other fast food options in the area. We most certainly will be back for more soon! read more

I feel compelled to write this review as my fkn mouth is on complete fire right now. So I know that this is just me and my big back ass complaining but please people DO NOT GET THE REAPER flavor unless your name is fucking Lucifer because I thought I can handle heat and when I say I thought I mean I know my body and my taste buds and I love habanero. Idk where tf this seasoning comes from but it cannot be from earth because one bite and my mouth felt like I ate coals from a fresh fire. I still have my lips numb and my tongue numb. My mouth is still on fire. I've tried this place before and I actually got the spicy and then the extra spicy and it was doable. Don't get me wrong the chicken sandwiches are delicious they're BOMB BUT DO NOT GET THE REAPER. I ordered the # 2 which was the 2 slider meal. I couldn't even finish the other slider I had to throw it away because the spice was too unbearable and it ruined the whole meal for me. A few customers were seated throughout the dining area. Not overly busy for a Friday afternoon during a holiday week but can imagine they get busy evenings and weekends. Ordered a #3 combo which came with a slider, tender and fries. Added an extra tender to the order. They offer kale slaw and pickles as extras at no additional charge. Gladly took them and they added a nice crunch to the slider. Tenders come on a slice of white bread. Sliders are served on a soft bun with sauce drizzle and the requested slaw and pickles. Enjoyed a bite from the tender first. Was piping hot and decent flavor. I had ordered mild and lacked the expected heat from the 7 various heat options. Bit into the slider and annoyed the flavor of the chicken, softness of the bun and crunch of the slaw. The pickle added another crunch and flavor to the bite. Service was very personable from the various team members who assisted. Would stop again if visiting the area or passing thru. Convenient stop for late night adventures as they're open late! Upon arrival the front area was empty with no employees, no greetings. We used the kiosk to order but one of them wasn't working so we waited for the working kiosk to open up. When I finally saw en employee I asked for our drink cups, again she didn't greet us or even acknowledge us, just handed us the cups and walked off. The food was ok. No much slaw on the sandwich, mild level heat is very very low heat. Overall an underwhelming experience. Food is pretty good here. and yes the reaper will melt your face off so be careful! The staff service is hit and miss as this place has only been open for less than a year. The drive-through seems to take forever so be sure to try and cut the line by walking in. The parking lot can get busy so be careful navigating through the lot as Starbucks traffic is crazy not to mention the local high school kids running around after school lets out. again, the food is good. the decor is cool to see. read more

4 based on what we tried so far. Probably bump up to a 5 once we try everything. Honestly I'm mad we didn't try it sooner. It's really good. The chickens texture is great and the flavors are all unique. The spicy barbecue doesn't have that barbecue taste but the barbecue boldness with the heat. The hot honey was my favorite. It's not super spicy but has just a little kick which I like, cause I'm not a super spicy person. The buffalo is really tasty and I don't like buffalo, my 4 year old son was devouring them lol. Overall, I think this place deserves a lot more love than it's getting. The 18 piece flight was perfect for myself, my husband and my sonFor the 17.99 it costs.
