Stopped here after a few softball games to get a chicken sandwich fix. The place is newer and located next to Starbucks. It shares a parking lot with Walmart so there is plenty of parking. We tried the not, mild and no heat versions. The chicken took about 10 minutes and came out nice, hot and crispy. Fries that came with it were a good portion and crispy. Do not get the no heat version as it lacks flavor, go with the mild. My wife doesn't like spice and liked the mild seasoning. The Hot version was not all that hot, heat level was less than a jalapeño I would say, so if you want heat go up another level or two. Not sure why it has the low Yelp rating as I got pretty much what I would expect from a fast food type place. Grab a lot of napkins as it is a little messy. Reminds me of Tennessee Hot chicken. I have been to this location several times. The food was great, and service was good. The last time however we found a hair on our order. It was a to go order, so I discovered the hair once I had arrived to my location. I had to dump the entire order in the trash and I will not be returning as I am grossed out. It is not difficult to wear hair nets, or at the very minimum wear hair in a tight bun. I guess I'll be driving out of Hemet when craving Dave's. read more

Being a chicken sandwich enthusiast I had to try Dave's Hot Chicken in Hemet. I waited about 30 minutes in the drivthru around 1130-midnight. I got to the ordering board at midnight. Cynthia was very friendly at explaining the menu and taking my order. I purchased the #3 with hot and medium chicken. Both were delicious and not overcooked or overly greasy. Heat on hot chicken was pleasant and only spicy to me(I have a tolerance). I also ordered a neopolitan oreo shake which was absolutely perfect(not watery or too thick) Price of my meal was expensive but on par with similar chicken restaurants at $27 out the door. Overall I am impressed with Daves Hot Chicken with my only criticism being price. I will be back for sure. read more

I had to yell hello several times at the speaker before I was acknowledged. The person taking my order (male) was very unprofessional. He didn't listen and it took me more than five mins to order a strawberry shake. I then waited another 15 mins behind two other cars. Had a pretty upsetting experience at the Hemet, CA. location. I drove up to the speaker and waited until someone would ask me for my order. No one answered so I drove up to the wi ndow. They get upset at me and ask me to go back around. Then the cashier goes to the manager. The manager tells me they can take my order but I will need to park out front and someone will bring it to me. My wife and I wait in the 100 degree weather for over 15 minutes before I walked in. The manager tells me they've just made my order after serving 3 cars that just pulled up. I've been a regular customer here and really enjoy the cauliflower slider, the seasoning and flavor are great. But after what happened tonight, I no longer feel comfortable ordering from this location. I ordered a cauliflower slider with fries and with no slaw due to dietary reasons, along with a chicken slider with fries for my husband (no modifications just the standard item). However, I was served what turned out to be a chicken slider instead of cauliflower. I didn't realize it immediately due to the strong sauce/flavoring, but once I looked closely, it was clearly chicken. This was extremely upsetting, as I don't eat meat for personal and health reasons and haven't for many years. My husband returned to the store with both sliders so the staff could compare them directly. The staff apologized and offered to remake the order -- including his chicken slider, since it had gone cold by that point. Unfortunately, the second round wasn't correct at all. They gave us two cauliflower sliders instead of one cauliflower and one chicken, and both had slaw -- despite my original request for no slaw on mine. My husband's slider was supposed to be the standard chicken one, but instead they gave him cauliflower. My husband ultimately returned everything, including the complimentary slushies they offered, because we weren't looking for free drinks or food, just the correct food. To their credit, when my husband went back a third time, they fully remade the order. Everything was finally correct, and they also kindly offered him a future comp item for the trouble (which we appreciated, though we weren't seeking anything further by then). For customers with dietary restrictions -- whether for health, personal, or allergy-related reasons -- this kind of inconsistency is unacceptable. The service is good.. And the chicken fire Literally... Extra hot is too hot for my liking but very, very good. I prefer the Hot and it's flavor and spices are like none other.. I enjoy the cheese fries the cheese doesn't taste cheap and weird. But the fries themselves are packed with flavor and crunch.
