This is a review of the Dave's Hot Chicken in Nampa ID. One of two locations currently in the state of Idaho. The other being in Meridian. This location is on N Marketplace Blvd. A popular location of stores, restaurants, and shopping; including Costco, Best Buy, and Target. For reference, Dave's location is near Olive Garden, Dutch Brothers Coffee, and Q'doba Mexican Eats. It is directly next to Sally Beauty and is the last unit of the building. There is plenty of free parking in front of and near the location (including two dedicated customer pick up parking spaces and one handicap spot). I arrived on Friday at around 2pm and surprisingly for being after the lunch hour it was quite busy. Outside people were at a window picking up "online and 3rd party orders." Lots of people were seated and dining inside. There was a line to order back to the entry doors. Two cashiers were taking orders so the line moved very quickly. That was a theme of the experience. Lots of friendly employees available to clean tables, take orders, keep the restrooms clean, check on customers who were eating inside etc. I ordered the Dave's #2. 2 sliders w/ fries. One mild heat and one medium heat. I always start lower on the spice scale at a new place and this was a great starting point. Also a vanilla milkshake (made with real ice cream) as a sweet treat. I was given a receipt and a pager/buzzer to take for when the food was ready. Also, my delicious vanilla milkshake to start drinking on. In the rear area of the restaurant are two single room "unisex" bathrooms. Each with one toilet and one sink. I checked and both were clean. I washed my hands and waited for my food to be ready. I can see why this style of higher end "fast casual" restaurant is so popular. Friendly service. Fresh cooked chicken and fries, good quality and value for your money. And an easy place to go with the family or your friends and no pressure to dress up or be fancy. While I waited there were plenty of tables to sit at. Also, Free WiFi, with no password required, and also no extra step of signing in is required. Thanks for that. Fountain drinks, iced tea, and napkins were in one section. Plastic utensils, ketchup, and honey are located at the pick up counter. Which is directly to the right of the ordering counter. Inside decor I would call modern urban with lots of hand made art and graffiti. All in all a very good experience. read more

Don't sleep on this place. Tried it for the first time last week. Was kind of discouraged by pricing and the thought of getting a tender on a bun aka a "slider". But decided to give it a go and boy was I wrong. The "slider" was a regular bun. The fixings they put on it was sooooo goood. Been back twice now since then. Plus the staff has been super nice and friendly. Was asked when I picked up the food if there was any additional sauce I needed, any honey, or utensils. Super friendly staff. Make sure when you eat you put some honey on the slider! I promise you won't regret it! read more

I recently visited Dave's Hot Chicken, and I had an incredible experience! The chicken was perfectly crispy and bursting with flavor. One of the highlights of my visit was the excellent service provided by Nicole. She was super friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Her recommendations were spot-on, especially the extra hot chicken, which was fantastic. The sides, like the mac and cheese, were also delicious. First time experience. Ordered tenders and sliders. Thought one of the sliders looked small in comparison to the rest of the food and complained. The manager Brian offered several times to make a new one to my satisfaction, which I declined and continued to grumble. Without prompting, he had a new one made anyway and completely changed the atmosphere. Great service, delicious food, and an excellent manager who made sure we would return. I came to Dave's for the first time and was happy with my experience! The interior is customized and fun. The food comes out HOT and delicious! The chicken is excellent, cooked well, and the spice level was perfect. It was hot enough to warm me up but not so hot that I needed to fan my open mouth! I understand getting it together , and bringing your life up from nothing ; but having a bad attitude isnt a place to start. Me and a BIG group of friends came in the other day & there was a girl missing half her teeth and the ones that were still there were rotting away. The food is really good and the service is great too. The chicken isn't too hot but just the right amount of spice. The reaper is hot though so nice to know there is an actually hot flavor in Idaho! Not even worth the time and money to go here!!! Waited too long just for 2 pieces of overseasoned fries and chicken. No one up front was paying attention and would walk away and talk with each other. It was so loud inside and very dirty, most of the tables were disgusting and the trash was overflowing it made me lose my appetite I won't be back read more

We love Dave's! The service is very quick (we have dined in and ordered to go)! Their pickles are my grandson's favorite! Their Mac & Cheese is thick and creamy and my grandkiddos LOVE it! Great service and food was awesome. Reaper is hot and still burning my mouth. I'm a spicy mild but I tried it. The fries are seasoned well and crispy. For our first time ever trying Dave's Hot Chicken, it was absolutely delicious. We got a #2 and got a hot and and extra hot slider. Both were great and the price was amazing. We've never been to Dave's in Houston but recently tried it at the new location in Nampa! The chicken tenders were actually delicious and very juicy. Cheese fries were good too. We have been to Dave's several times now a d we have no complaints. The food is always hot, the sauce is a favorite a d they give us extra to take home. We can choose how spicy we want the chicken. Made an online order and ended up getting one wrong on no fault of theirs with spice level. However Nemo fixed my mistake and gave me what I intended to order at no cost. I've been to several Dave's hot chickens... this place knocks it out of the park! The ambiance is great, the food is phenomenal ( a bit spendy) and the service has been quick and kind. I'd highly recommend this location be warned though there is no drive through. read more
