The chicken was nice and hot. Tasted very good. My opinion is that the taste is very good and better than Popeyes chicken

Absolutely gross. Pre-made grab and go under heat lamps all day. Dry chicken with soggy bread.

To be honest, I have never eaten a meal at Freddy's…read more I am sure the food is good and it is definitely a place I would go to for a top-quality burger. The reason we keep going to Freddy's is for the custard. If you have never had custard, think ice cream but only creamier. I am addicted to it. I don't think I will ever look at ice cream the same way again after having something soooo much better. There are only 2 flavors, vanilla & chocolate but, when you add the extras or get one of their signature choices (the brownie one is my go to) you have everything you need for a good time. Beyond my custard obsession, I need to make sure I give kudos to the staff. They are so friendly and attentive that you feel like a special guest. That and the food makes Freddy's a place that has to be on your list if you want to treat yourself to a great meal.

We received a friendly greeting upon arriving and were quickly able to order. Love the Veteran's discount and using the app is easy breezy. Ordered the single instead of a double California burger combo to save a few calories, but there was no change in price. Hubby had the single as well, standard Freddy's burger with large fries and drink. Most of the booths were taken but we managed to grab one after someone left. Most tables didn't look wiped down but we assumed it was due to lunch rush. Food came out quickly. The burgers were stacked with fresh and crispy lettuce. Mine had a stack of onions and tomatoes that were sliced and stacked. The fries were cooked to utter perfection, heavily seasoned (more than usual), but I loved it. Few things occurred that forced me to give a lower rating than I typically would give: 1. The regular fry sauce-for some odd reason we kept finding packs that had this oily, spongy orange slick on top of each sauce when we opened them. We thought it was just separation, but once we stirred the sauce it just made it worse. We had to open 5 packs until we found one we could use, but even then it was this odd dark orange color. Tasted fine but it was just unusual. 2. Looks like they removed Diet Pepsi from the fountain? Seriously?!? There's two Pepsi fountains, Pepsi zero and cherry Pepsi but no diet. I live for my Diet Pepsi and it makes me feel a shred less guilty for splurging on fast food. For the love of all that's holy, whyyyyyyyy?!?

It was about 1:45 pm on a Friday, and the place was fairly crowded. We were sat at a small booth for two, not my favorite table, but understandable that they would want to save their tables and booths for four for larger parties. It's very loud, hard to talk, so in tha sense the small booth we were in, set apart from the main seating area, was better for my wife and I to talk. Our server was Yulia, and she was delightful. Very nice, efficient, and attentive. Great service! We both had the classic burger, mine with the sharp cheddar it comes with, my wife sans cheese. 100% Wagyu beef, and cooked very nicely at medium. The bun was large and soft, very tasty and great texture. The fries were delicious; crispy and well seasoned, just great. They have a fry sauce that tasted like it had a bit of horseradish. I really liked it. Prices are very reasonable. In fact, I just had a burger at a nice restaurant in downtown Boise last week that had a smaller patty and bun, and cost $3 more. We will definitely be back to Holy Cow.

Once here in Idaho, I wasn't as inclined to visit due to my fear that it wouldn't taste the same and the Idaho-shaming of visiting any location. However, I had an overwhelming desire for "animal style" well done fries and after a lot of begging, convinced my husband to come (this was not an easy task). We arrived around 4:30 pm and the dining room was roughly 1/2 full with a robust wrap in drive-thru. We were greeted by a friendly cashier who quickly took our order, then repeated it back perfectly. The kitchen was in a fervor, bustling to satisfy all the orders (really, a hard working team). We obtained our drink cups and the large, typical drink station was nicely stocked with a nice array of soft drinks to choose from. The odd thing to me is that whenever I've eaten at any other location in the past, I think the longest I've ever waited for my meal has been maybe 9 minutes, tops. No matter the time of day or night. We waited 23 minutes for our meals. It seemed that drive-thru is priority, then to-go, then dine-in. The animal style fries were pretty good, though I'm used to it being slathered with more sauce. Thankfully, I was able to get a few sauce packets and gleefully doused to my delight. However, the bun of my burger was so over toasted! The buns were actually hard and crunchy. I'm not used to that. The burger tasted like before but it was dry and overcooked as well. The lettuce, onions, tomatoes and cheese were very fresh and flavorful. My husband had the same experience with his burger as I did. Tables were not wiped down and the condiment station was out of almost everything when we got there. They didn't refill all the cups, chilis, etc. until right before we left. I really wanted to love my visit, but after this experience, and all the convincing to entice my husband there with this result, it's unlikely we will be back.

I was trying to put an event together for our Red Hat group for the month of March. Since the date for the event fell on St. Patty' Day, of course we would go somewhere that served corned beef and cabbage! I had heard that Jak's served a mean corned beef, so I stopped in to inquire about hosting our group of 12 for lunch at 11:30; they were happy to put us on their calendar. I received an email confirmation which included their lunch menu. I was a bit concerned as there was no mention of the corned beef on the menu, so when I called to confirm I was assured that they would indeed have it for lunch that day . During the course of our luncheon I was told by the manager, Liz, that Jak's was originally offering the corned beef only as a dinner option, but since our group had specifically requested it for lunch, they added it to their menu, just for us!! How over the top is THAT?? When we arrived the atmosphere was inviting, the restaurant was decked out with lots of St. Patty's Day greenery, and there was Irish music playing on the sound system. Our table was set up and prepared for our group; our friendly and efficient waitress was ready and waiting for our shenanigans! The portion of corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, and carrots was generous; I ended up taking quite a bit home for the hubby, which he was more than happy to finish off for his lunch! The meat was well seasoned and pretty tender, which can be tricky as sometimes the cut of the meat can make it a bit tough. There was a nice selection of various specialty adult beverages to round out the offerings, but as I personally don't imbibe I cannot give a review for those. By the time we were ready to leave, the place was pretty well packed..it was a fun and lively place to be to celebrate the day! Well done, Jak's Place...a good time was had by all!
