The chicken was nice and hot. Tasted very good. My opinion is that the taste is very good and better than Popeyes chicken

Absolutely gross. Pre-made grab and go under heat lamps all day. Dry chicken with soggy bread.

To be honest, I have never eaten a meal at Freddy's…read more I am sure the food is good and it is definitely a place I would go to for a top-quality burger. The reason we keep going to Freddy's is for the custard. If you have never had custard, think ice cream but only creamier. I am addicted to it. I don't think I will ever look at ice cream the same way again after having something soooo much better. There are only 2 flavors, vanilla & chocolate but, when you add the extras or get one of their signature choices (the brownie one is my go to) you have everything you need for a good time. Beyond my custard obsession, I need to make sure I give kudos to the staff. They are so friendly and attentive that you feel like a special guest. That and the food makes Freddy's a place that has to be on your list if you want to treat yourself to a great meal.

We really don't have a favorite Freddy's location because the food is consistently great, but we…read moreprefer Nampa only because it's so central to where we want to go and this is the only location in the valley that actually gives you a large serving of fries when you upgrade. We received a friendly greeting upon arriving and were quickly able to order. Love the Veteran's discount and using the app is easy breezy. Ordered the single instead of a double California burger combo to save a few calories, but there was no change in price. Hubby had the single as well, standard Freddy's burger with large fries and drink. Most of the booths were taken but we managed to grab one after someone left. Most tables didn't look wiped down but we assumed it was due to lunch rush. Food came out quickly. The burgers were stacked with fresh and crispy lettuce. Mine had a stack of onions and tomatoes that were sliced and stacked. The fries were cooked to utter perfection, heavily seasoned (more than usual), but I loved it. Few things occurred that forced me to give a lower rating than I typically would give: 1. The regular fry sauce-for some odd reason we kept finding packs that had this oily, spongy orange slick on top of each sauce when we opened them. We thought it was just separation, but once we stirred the sauce it just made it worse. We had to open 5 packs until we found one we could use, but even then it was this odd dark orange color. Tasted fine but it was just unusual. 2. Looks like they removed Diet Pepsi from the fountain? Seriously?!? There's two Pepsi fountains, Pepsi zero and cherry Pepsi but no diet. I live for my Diet Pepsi and it makes me feel a shred less guilty for splurging on fast food. For the love of all that's holy, whyyyyyyyy?!?

He…read moreloved the spicy chicken and I have wonderful fond memories of us enjoying this fried chicken in Louisiana in New Orleans with my papa. I shared this experience with the waitress or server as you would call them now when she took my order kind of a blank look on her face. As the menu has changed considerably from what it started, I was cruising and trying to make heads or tails of what I should order and finally decided I would just get the four piece meal to split with my husband and a couple of sides. I asked for spicy chicken and was told it was not going to be available for 10 minutes as they we're out. Really?!?! This was after 4 o'clock in the afternoon close to dinner time for most people. My husband had just got out of Cancer treatment so we just needed something quick and easy and I never do fast food... But wanted to try this due to my memory of it New Orleans and Papa. So they gathered my food and we took it home. The coleslaw actually was very good. My husband kept saying this is really good. The french fries were good. The chicken though it wasn't spicy tasted really good really thick coating and not a lot of chicken, but we were really hungry so it tasted good :-) all in all I probably wouldn't go back. There was no apology for the spicy chicken not being available they just turned their back on me and I just didn't love the service so go if you like it's OK but nothing fabulous and definitely not great service since they didn't have spicy chicken. I mean, I wasn't at Kentucky fried chicken this was Popeyes for goodness sakes!

First, the entitlement of employees to expect tips for online pickup orders is ridiculous. We are…read morepaying for the product itself which means we expect the product to fundamentally be provided as it's priced and advertised on the menu - period. Second, the fact they actually construct the food differently based on whether a tip is included needs to be addressed by management - we've tested this theory and today was the final confirmation. We tip when we go in and are provided actual service, not for being given the item we already bought as a product of the company. Especially when we end up not receiving what we paid for. Idk if management has promoted employees acting this way, but it's a reflection of this organization's quality standards and moral values regardless. We paid the allotted price for what should've been a double chicken burrito with rice, beans, and some produce, but because we didn't tip for an order, they filled it 3/4 rice and like 6 pieces of chicken. It was terrible and did not deliver the product that was ordered or purchased at all. Again, tips are for service. We aren't against tipping, but recognizing the different quality of product we get based on whether the employees see it on the order initially doesn't incentivize tipping ahead of time - which is why we were waiting. In cases we tip cash upon pickup and show zero tip online, we get screwed because the employee thinks we're not tipping and does a terrible job. This attitude and mindset is completely backwards. The price of an item is expected to get you that item. We shouldn't have to be manipulated into tipping for the product to actually be what's advertised and ordered. We paid $13 for a chicken burrito and were given a dry, rice loaded bundle of crap. We likely won't return to this location at all, and if so, will only go in and order like subway to ensure they provide what we're paying for.

Once here in Idaho, I wasn't as inclined to visit due to my fear that it wouldn't taste the same and the Idaho-shaming of visiting any location. However, I had an overwhelming desire for "animal style" well done fries and after a lot of begging, convinced my husband to come (this was not an easy task). We arrived around 4:30 pm and the dining room was roughly 1/2 full with a robust wrap in drive-thru. We were greeted by a friendly cashier who quickly took our order, then repeated it back perfectly. The kitchen was in a fervor, bustling to satisfy all the orders (really, a hard working team). We obtained our drink cups and the large, typical drink station was nicely stocked with a nice array of soft drinks to choose from. The odd thing to me is that whenever I've eaten at any other location in the past, I think the longest I've ever waited for my meal has been maybe 9 minutes, tops. No matter the time of day or night. We waited 23 minutes for our meals. It seemed that drive-thru is priority, then to-go, then dine-in. The animal style fries were pretty good, though I'm used to it being slathered with more sauce. Thankfully, I was able to get a few sauce packets and gleefully doused to my delight. However, the bun of my burger was so over toasted! The buns were actually hard and crunchy. I'm not used to that. The burger tasted like before but it was dry and overcooked as well. The lettuce, onions, tomatoes and cheese were very fresh and flavorful. My husband had the same experience with his burger as I did. Tables were not wiped down and the condiment station was out of almost everything when we got there. They didn't refill all the cups, chilis, etc. until right before we left. I really wanted to love my visit, but after this experience, and all the convincing to entice my husband there with this result, it's unlikely we will be back.
