My son absolutely loves Dave's Hot Chicken, so it has become one of our go-to spots when he's craving chicken! He gets the 2 tenders with fries and extra Dave's sauce. The tenders are a really good size and the meal definitely fills him up. The fries are crinkle-cut with seasoning on them, and we both really like the seasoning. We actually agree that Dave's seasoned crinkle fries are better than the fries at Cane's since Cane's fries are plain. The meal also comes with a piece of bread and a stack of pickles. The pickle slices are nice and big, which is a definite yum in my book! My son loves the Dave's sauce. I like it too, but I still prefer Cane's sauce. Dave's sauce is a little more creamy while Cane's has more flavor. I haven't tried the cauliflower yet, but that's on my list for next time. Sorry Dave - This was a total bust. 14 mins in drive thru. Person taking order was so difficult to understand and a little rude. Found them to be pricey for what you get. Not sure what the wait was about because my fries were stale and dry, mozz sticks were so dry we couldn't eat them - they had zero cheese pull and overly breaded. Chicken was barely warm. First impression upon rolling up is that they have the dirtiest windows. The menu does not show their full offerings (annoying). Why are they calling their sandwiches 'sliders'?? Also, I'm pretty sure the soda fountain taps were hooked up to the wrong things behind the scenes, which is a thing I don't think I've ever had happen. Ate here and it was decent. The music is kind of loud inside the building which was fine because I was by myself. The murals and graffiti art was really cool.Ordered in the store at the kiosk and everything was fairly self explanatory. There were three other orders on the board when I submitted mine and it took about 10 minutes for my food to come out. I went with the mild tenders with fries. The chicken was juicy and well cooked, but I found the spice rub almost sweet and not any spice. The fries had a similar spice mix in them that were also somewhat sweet and not actually salty. I would say this place is adequate. Service at the drive-through was friendly, it took quite a while to make it through the drive-through to the pick up window, but they cook everything to order so no biggie. There's a cool Scottsdale mural on the outside of the building that's visible from the parking lot. There's ample parking, even on a busy Friday night. The person taking our order was a little robotic and hard to hear over the loud music. He didn't seem eager to help us interpret the menu when we told him that it was our first time here. There are self-order kiosks if you want to avoid ordering via an employee. We ordered the meal that comes with two chicken tenders (medium spice level), fries, and pickles. The soda we ordered was an additional $3. The food came out quickly and was served hot and crispy. The medium spice seasoning on the chicken was a dry rub, which lacked flavor, but the chicken itself was juicy. The spicy filet at Chick-Fil-A is ten times better though. The crinkle cut fries were good, but similarly looked more seasoned than they tasted. The only sauces we were told that they offer are Dave's special sauce (a thousand island type sauce), ketchup, and honey. We would have liked a barbecue option. The tables needed a wipe down from all the dinner traffic, and an employee was kind enough to do this when we asked. Probably won't be back. We ordered online and received only part of the correct order, while the rest was completely wrong. The biggest issue was the chicken. We specifically ordered "Lite Mild," and the box was even labeled "Not Hot," but the chicken we received was bright bright red and it was so hot that neither of us could eat it. It was way hotter than the Medium heat level we've had before. The only positive was the fries themselves. They were well seasoned and crispy. I'm not sure if this place is still figuring it out as they just opened. The wait time for the food was horrendous. There was 1 car ahead of me and it took more than 14+ minutes to clear the drive through. With El Pollo Loco, and Chick Fil-a in the same lot they need to be faster. Have eaten at other Dave's in Valley before but it's been a couple years. Tried the new Scottsdale location for a second time to confirm my thoughts. The chain has definitetly gone cheap on it's chicken. The tenders used to be huge, juicy and delicious, but they are different now. Even the shape is different. Very flat and dry. I feel like they aren't tenders anymore..like they are cutting breasts. They are also very chewy. Couldn't have been more than a couple ounces of actual chicken in my two piece meal. And I'm sorry, but charging $1.50 for a ranch cup at a chicken place is criminal. Place was also very dirty and the employees were less than professional. No reason to go back really. I had an amazing experience at Dave's Hot Chicken last night. It was my first time ever trying it and it definitely did not disappoint. The manager saw me when I walked in and came from the kitchen to take my order. He was so friendly and just had a really great energy about him. I got the number 2 which was 2 chicken sandwiches with fries and he told me that he was going to make sure my order was made before the big doordash order they had. He went back to the kitchen and they made my food in 2 minutes or less. I didn't get a chance to ask his name and I don't remember what he said it was but he had amazing customer service and the food was fantastic. Decided to try the new Dave's location up the street from us. I'd like to preference i have eaten here before but decided to try this location. Unfortunately I am very disappointed at how awful the food was. Our fries came out cold, the chicken itself has lost all of its flavor to a point where it's just bland. It's disappointing because this place used to be very flavorful and enjoyable, now, not so much. We will not be coming back ever again. The service was very slow. The first time I ordered a #1 meal HOT. The spice level was good (hot), but the chicken was dry and overcooked.
