    Ask the Community - Chick-fil-A

Is it really that hard to let people know if the dining room is closed or not? Just put it online like the Scottsdale and Shea location. Instead you chose to suck

Hi Samuel! If you go to our website, or look on the Chick-fil-A app, it will give you the most up to date status on the service levels we are providing at the moment. Thank You!

Does anyone know why they weren't able to make salads today?

There is a large recall on romaine due to a bacteria. Some CFA are making salads with green leaf lettuce until it is cleared. Some aren’t making them at all.

Just for signing up, I got enough bonus points for $5 off, plus $5 off for my birthday, so $10 total. I was in the area picking up another meal and decided to maximize my outing by ordering from here as well. It was easy using the app and ordering my food. I chose the 4 tender and tots meal ($10.99) and chose their homestyle tenders and for the two dry rubs, I chose Jalapeno Garlic Ranch and Chili Lime with the Mango Habanero (Spicy Sweet Mango) sauce. The sauces sounded really good and it was tough choosing one. ASAP orders are ready in 15 minutes but I chose a pickup time of 30 min. This restaurant is located on the north side of FLW, east of the 101 with a few other businesses and food spots. There was plenty of parking and they even have curbside pickup, which is cool. There were two doors to enter from and a few people dining in. Lots of seating. Pickup was quick and easy and I was on my way. The tots were yummy, I got the regular ones but am intrigued by their maple ones. The chicken tenders were full of flavor, especially with the sauce. I love that they are oven grilled as opposed to fried, and they were tasty. The instructions on the box say to pour the sauce inside and shake it up, but I decided to just dip the chicken in the sauce. I may have to try that method next time. Overall, this was a great choice for lunch and I'm glad I got to try it!

From the outside, the place doesn't look like much, tucked away in a small shopping center. Once inside, there are a plentiful number of tables in the smallish restaurant, which does not feel at all cramped. It is tastefully decorated, and you order at a counter, and they will either call you to get your food or bring it out to you. On the day we were there, the owner was behind the counter and took our order. He asked if we had been there before, and since I had not, he took the time to explain the menu to me. They focus nearly exclusively on chicken tenders, and we opted to share The Three Tenders, which comes with...you guessed it...three chicken tenders (with your choice of heat level), three warmed tortillas, pickles, and alley sauce (the house dipping sauce) on the side. We added sides of French fries and Cole slaw, and the owner gave me a free fountain drink since it was my first time there. So nice! We grabbed a high-top table, and once the food came out, and I bit into the first tender, I knew I was eating the best chicken tenders I have ever eaten. Seriously. These are awesome and at a decent price, too. The tenders are very large and perfectly breaded. The spiciness matches the heat level you choose--not to little and not too much. No mushy tempura batter here either. And the house dipping sauce was perfectly suited to the tenders. The fries and slaw were great, too. If you like chicken tenders, you won't regret trying Hot Chicken Alley!

I was proactive and made reservations from their website. It was same day so we got in for 1:30 PM which was great when you want a lazy morning. Upon arriving, the location is in a shopping plaza but nothing else appears to be open or even in business. There's plenty of free parking in the lot but we took a ride share. There's nearby retailers like Costco but in this complex it looked dead except for Sugar Jam. When you enter, people were waiting to be seated and you can hear the music from outside! This is a lively, DJ friendly atmosphere with lots of activity happening from the bar to the dining room. The hostess checked us in, we walked around and took pictures, admired all the beautiful people dining and it's an open kitchen where you see the orders coming up. Mom and I were seated maybe 10 minutes after our reservation time. We were greeted by Vante - such a nice young man who was patient and helped us decide on what to order. We settled on the margarita flight, the watermelon hibiscus whisky smash, wings & waffles and the French toast and chicken. I also got blessed with a shout out from the DJ and a free shot for my birthday! The food came out quickly (however not together), was plated nicely and the flavors were present. The brown sugar butter and warm syrup on my French toast was a hit. The only complaint I'd note is the heat inside the establishment. I left my fan and desperately needed it. They did eventually bring out some industrial fans to cool the dining area off. The a/c needs to crank harder with all the bodies plus open kitchen. Otherwise, a great spot to eat, sing along, vibe a little and enjoy great breakfast food.

It is important to know that making a reservation requires a $20 deposit for a 90 minute seating. Upon my arrival, the hostess informed that I would be seated closer to or a little after my reservation time. I am new to the desert heat, and the restaurant's AC unit wasn't working properly which made the environment a little uncomfortable. There were fans strategically placed throughout the dining space. We were seated 20 minutes after our reservation time and offered a free round of drinks. There restaurant was out of some food options. The menu is extensive and does have a few vegan options which is appreciated. Our waitress was super friendly, and the DJ's playlist was on point - the restaurant's noise volume is loud. But the food is decent; I enjoyed my sweet potato hash and French toast, and the cinnamon butter and grits were a 10/10. I would recommend the restaurant and visit again, if I ever find myself in PHX.

That meant I was going to El Pollo Loco monthly for a two piece chicken and two sides. Since I moved to Phoenix, this was my first time visiting their North Scottsdale location. I stopped by on a Sunday for an early dinner. Ambiance (2.5/5): This is fast food we're talking about so they all pretty much look the same. Mostly booth seating inside, a drive through if you're ordering to go, and a bathroom. I'm taking things down a notch because most of the tables were dirty. I had to pass up on three tables until I chose the fourth to sit at. The staff should be a little more on top of things making sure tables are wiped down after a customer leaves. Service (3/5): Nobody was working the front counter when I arrived. It took three or four minutes for someone to appear. A bit bizarre for a fast food establishment when at least one person should be manning the register at all times. When I placed my order, the cashier was gracious enough to allow me to substitute guac for queso. I appreciated that. Drinks (3.5/5): The typical soft drinks you would expect with a twist. They also have horchata and two different flavors of agua fresca. The agua frescas are made by Minute Maid so don't expect the same quality you would find at a traditional Mexican restaurant, but still better than the standard offerings. Food (3/5): After a year of two piece chickens, I decided to switch things up and get their creamy chipotle chicken quesadilla combo meal which is served with chips and guac. Overall, I was displeased. The quesadilla has small chunks of chicken in it. And not much chicken. It was a weak quesadilla. The portion size of the chips is a lot smaller than what you get at most Mexican spots, too. I'd recommend going for the chicken meals instead. You'll get more bang for your buck there. I'm mourning the loss of what used to be not only AZ's best fish tacos and freshest poke, but also their S tier fries. Reading some of the reviews I thought it was just a change in name only. Unfortunately the recipes and food quality has changed as well. When I first moved here from Hawaii, I was resigned to the fact the most restaurants in AZ just didn't have the capacity to serve seafood as great as the islands. That was until I visited Coconuts at the old FLW and Scottsdale location. I continued to eat there as well as their new Shea location and also the location on Mayo, always eating consistently great fish tacos and poke. I would bring friends and family there who also enjoyed the fresh ingredients that reminded them of home. Surprisingly the fries on the side were also a standout but now the recipe changed and now taste just like every other takeout restaurant which is a shame. I know a lot of Hawaiian restaurants with fish tacos and poke have opened up in the area in the last few years, but Coconuts was always my go to for fresh fish and tacos and even their fries. I can't say the same about Maui fish tacos and will have to find somewhere else. On the plus side, the servers were excellent and friendly and they rightfully deserve some praise.
