Wrong order and no one to contact
    Lauren C.

Absolutely unacceptable experience. I ordered Dave's Hot Chicken through DoorDash and my order very clearly included fries. Instead, I received two containers of mac and cheese that were honestly not even edible to us and did not receive the fries I paid for. I have attached photos showing exactly what was delivered. What makes this even more frustrating is that there is apparently no way to contact the restaurant directly. If there's an issue with your order, you're routed to a generic feedback form that offers no immediate assistance, no customer service, and no real way to resolve the problem. I didn't want a survey. I wanted the food I actually ordered. It's incredibly disappointing that they can make a mistake with an order and then create a system where customers have no practical way to reach someone who can fix it. If my order is wrong, I should be able to contact the restaurant and have the issue corrected, not be sent into an online black hole and hope someone reads a form days later. Mistakes happen. What turns a mistake into a terrible customer experience is when there is no accountability and no way to get help. I ordered fries. I got mac and cheese. There was no way to contact the restaurant to make it right. That's not acceptable. Would not recommend ordering from this location unless you're prepared to accept whatever shows up at your door with no ability to reach anyone if something goes wrong!!

TLDR: food was mid and vibes were weird. This was my first time eating at DHC, I've always been put off by the long lines that always seems to be present, but we wanted a chicken sandwich and Mt. Joy has closed. The line was moving at a snail's pace so we ended up mobile ordering, and after sitting down to wait for our food we realized it was taking so long because everyone was ordering on the tablet themselves, but despite orders being put in so slowly the kitchen seemed to have a very long wait time. Other customers seemed to be quite annoyed with the wait time as well, with many going up and checking on the status of their orders. There were 2 workers up front putting together drinks and bagging food for customers. They both had a very relaxed, too chill attitude at some points. One of them came back from the restrooms, and then walked back behind the counter and immediately started putting people's orders together without washing his hands, gross. The other one was on his phone when there were breaks between orders coming out of the kitchen, and would frequently touch his hair/face, and would dap up people he knew and then went back to putting orders together. There was just a concerning lack of handwashing which is needed when dealing with food. The food itself was okay. We got loaded mac sliders with fries, and the hot mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks were pretty gross, with a weird powdery "hot" coating that didn't taste good, or that hot. The sliders were okay, the mac and cheese was the best part of them despite it being so bland. The fries and sauce were actually pretty good.

Are they giving away the food? Running a special? Ordering was a cluster and picking up an even bigger cluster. Maybe if you come at off peak hours, it is less hectic. They do have several options so you can get a slider and a tender, 2 tenders, only sliders, etc. and lots of choices as to how hot or mild you want your chicken to be. A few tables in the front and bar sitting on the side with cool graffitied artwork on the walls. Chicken was on the dry side. Big pieces though. For me, the stats were the pickles: nice amount of them and not thinly sliced either. The shake was very thick so I also enjoyed that.

got the Dave's #3 combo here, with a slider, a tender, and fries, which also came with texas toast and mayo sauce The tender was all-time amazing, just like last time. They actually gave me two - which was surprising The slider was also incredible - though it was secondary to the tender the chicken piece was a little bit small - especially compared to the tender, but the dave's sauce, pickles, and mayo still made it taste really good it would've been amazing just on its own as well the one thing i have to talk about here - it's my first time getting these - are the fries this was out of this world I don't think I've ever had fries this good in my life. Not just from a fast food place, from anywhere like dude the crunchiness was UNREAL every single pieces, even after it was no longer cold, had the absolute perfect texture i want in a fry. fries cannot be improved from here. it's over it was so amazingly, incredibly crispy on the outside and yet the inside did not feel overcooked at all - it was just perfect adding on to everything, the seasoning! these fries were liberally seasoned with a spice mix that added a perfect amount of flavor. so many fries are seasoned with just salt, but these spices were incredible on the fries if all that wasn't enough, the cup of Dave's Sauce that these came with was a wonderful dipping option Extra Hot was basically the perfect spice level for me - it provided the absolute peak of flavor I can't ask for much more This is random but way to redeem my Reaper experience For the price, this is an insane deal. About 1500 calories of incredible food, in three different varieties, for just about 15 dollars? So good The portion size here was more than enough for a really full meal The only thing I might say is the texas toast was a bit soft, but even that tasted good when dipped in the sauce, so i'm not even sure on that

Didn't expect to enjoy Dave's Hot Chicken as much as I do. Chicken was tender, juicy, and flavorful. For those who can't handle spicy, they offer no spice and lite mild, but heat is a nice addition even if light. They also have the special sauce that's similar to most mayo based sauces, but it's addicting. Service is solid and friendly, each time I go to pick up my order, they let me know their names and to call for them if I need anything. Quite a bit of seating available but somewhat compact. Definitely recommend Dave's #2 because the slider buns are much better than the sliced bread. Tenders are tasty but the slice of bread is bland, white bread that was slapped on the tray.

I wanted to check out the hype and incidentally was in Cap Hill. This place was packed. I wasn't expecting a line on Saturday lunch time. Minimal decor with good seating. The guy taking the order was let's just say doing his job. We got the Dave's #3 with a hot tender and extra hot slider. It comes with fries which are seasoned and real good When our order came about 10 min later it looked really good. And the first bite set the tone. The chicken was juicy and had a decent breaded crust. The spice rub was telling. However I didn't experience that "aha" moment. Questioning if the meal was worth 16 bucks. Tip: You can get Dave's sauce, hot honey and or ketchup with your order. If you write a google review they reward you with a free soda or milkshake. -1 star : They don't offer glasses for water!

Great late night stop as they stay open veryyy late every day. Ambiance is loud and definitely a lot of college kids and teens. We had a group of 3 boys cut the line in front of us and another couple to join their already large group of over 4 boys in front. Oh well but annoying and you'll see the entitlement. We waited in a long line but I felt they kept it moving quick as possible. The employees were friendly and kind. I could see they had more than 4 cooks in the back and they were working hard! Food was mid. For late late night it's good but I think Chikfila has juicer and crispier better chicken. The spice levels were alright. My man got mild and I chose hot. Hot was good but not insanely spicy so def go up a level if you enjoy heat. The spice is not a saucy spicy but like a spice spicy. I did my slider with no Dave's sauce and asked for extra hot sauce packets on the side (they give Louisiana's crystal hot sauce). The fries were nothing special at all and to be honest was my least fav part of the meal. Macaroni and cheese we ordered also was not memorable. For late late night the sandwich was tasty but definitely not a place I'm going out of my way for or going to crave.

Dave's Hot Chicken is a good option for Nashville style hot chicken in the Seattle area. The gold standard is still Howlin' Ray's (in LA) for me. The chicken at this location good, but the dry seasoning was a bit overdone where the chicken was a little bitter and left me with a powdery taste. The Dave's chicken bites were also not seasoned consistently. Some had good seasoning while other pieces did not. This place is busy being in Cap Hill and close to Seattle U. It's also hard to find parking. It's a fast food setup and can be hard to find a table during peak hours. Prices are reasonable for what you get. A 3.5 star experience but rounding down overall for how hard it was to find parking and a table at this place. Stop by if you're in the area, but not something you need to go out of your way for.

I came here a couple times already and I feel like every time it's a hit or miss. The chicken can either be super juicy or super dry depending on the day. Maybe because of how busy they are all the time, but there is no quality control. However, if you're looking for a late night snack or dinner this is the place to be if you're in the caphill area. I love how they give you a lot of pickles and give you a lot of sauce packets if you're a sauce girly like me. When I went, they also had slushy samples, which is was nice.

Fabulous hot chicken slider place!! Visited them post a hike and it was a treat to our taste buds. We ordered their 2 sliders and fries along with 2 tender with fries, spice level hot and extra hot. The hot is great has a good kick to it but the extra hot is not for the faint hearted. Their slider, fries and tenders everything was delish and their dave's sauce adds a great zing to the meal. Service was a tad bit slow but they keep slushies for tasting while your waiting so I aint complaining. They do have plenty of seating and this place is open until 2am on weekdays and 4am on weekends. Seattle needs more of such late night eateries. All in all love this place and il be a regular for sure!

I've been to this Dave's several times and it always has good vibes. It's usually pretty busy whenever I visit, but the staff are friendly and efficient and clearly working hard to keep things moving. The food is consistent and reliably good, and it's especially convenient that they're open late at night.

Dave's Hot Chicken specializes in Nashville-style fried chicken tenders and sliders with their spicy mayo sauce. Overall, the chicken is pretty solid, although the fries can be cooked a bit unevenly. There is a wide scale for spiciness and a medium level here still has some kick. Note that drinks are extra with their combos. Location opens late but parking can be challenging. Looks like a second location opened up in Redmond too.

After hearing about the hype of Dave's Hot Chicken, we had to come and try for ourselves. The line went fast, the employees were kind, and the price was fair. The batter had a great crunch and the chicken itself was tender, but the flavor didn't blow us away as we expected. The seasoning seems like it was mostly cayenne and paprika (not very spicy even though we got Hot for spice level) and the sauce is a bit like thousand island dressing. Overall a good place for a quick bite and is good for value, but wouldn't go out of my way for it.

This restaurant was staring me right in the eyes for years, and I didn't realize how magnificent it was until today. When you walk in you are greeted by warm, fresh and fluffy pita. Guess what, IT COMES WITH THE MEAL! Everyone knows I'm a sucker for some free bread. But don't let these Lebanese pillows fill you up, the dip marathon has just begun. The menu here is unlike anything I've ever seen. You can get lost trying to figure out what to order for lunch, so I would advise consulting the waitstaff for guidance through this delightful maze. I just looked on their menu to figure out what the fries that I ate were called, and I can't find them for the life of me. But they had their own incredible dip completely covering them. At one point we had 4 different dips on the table, and I'm not sure how they got there. 1) The dip on the fries 2) Spicy hummus (not that spicy, incredibly tasty) 3) Za'tar that comes with the pita 4) Yogurt sauce that came with the Kabob combo Everything comes with something else here. And since I was having an electric conversation with my good friend, I sort of lost track of everything that we ordered. I highly recommend the combo for two to three people as you get a variety of different appetizers and all of the main kabobs. However, a couple of things that really made this experience mediocre. First, the meat was overcooked even though I asked for medium rare. Most of the meat came out medium well. The rice was undercooked and hard when you bit into it. The server could have been more attentive.. didn't come back to check on us, even though the restaurant wasn't super busy. The biggest disappointment is that this establishment passes on a 5% fee to help pay for their staff's benefits. They stay it's optional and they can take it off but it's very distasteful. The owner should reconsider this and build this expense into the pricing of their menu. Otherwise their wait staff is going to feel slighted when customers leave less tip because of this additional fee. Overall, this is a solid place, but the experience was just average considering all aspects, and therefore the three star rating.

Since my last review the restaurant has closed and reopened, and expanded their menu, to now include more dumplings and varieties of noodles. They also now have a very handy duo of ordering kiosks, which you order at prior to sitting down. I found their kiosks easy to use, which isn't always a given. This being my first visit back in a while, I had to get the spicy cumin lamb biang biang noodles. However I had to try some dumplings, so we shared the lamb dumplings, while my dinner buddy had the spicy cumin lamb rice noodle soup (the same kind of noodles you'd get at a ten second yunnan noodle type of place). They also now have a complimentary side dish bar that has seaweed salad, peanuts, and kimci, as well as some condiment type things like scallions and minced garlic. I helped myself to some seaweed salad to nibble on while waiting for our food, and it was good although food comes out quickly enough that you don't necessarily have to rely on it unless you're really chomping at the bit. The spicy cumin lamb biang biang noodles are just as good as I remember. The biang biang noodles here are perfectly chewy, and the rest of the dish has a lovely flavor aside from just spice. They're generous with lamb and cabbage which add a lot of textural variety to the plate. The lamb dumplings were the sleeper hit of the meal, filled with juicy, tender hunks of lamb surrounded by toothsome clearly hand-rolled wrappers. Absolutely do not skip the lamb dumplings. My dinner buddy really enjoyed her rice noodle soup with spicy cumin lamb, which I think would be a great option on a cold day. Everything is pretty much self serve here, so don't expect full service -- although they did stop by to refill our water once. The food here is so good, though, and prices are so reasonable, that I truly do not care that the experience is pretty bare bones otherwise.

The overall price point leans on the higher side, but the exceptional quality of the ingredients and generous portion sizes make it fully worth it. The Highlights * Ali Nazik (with Chicken): Absolutely outstanding. The tender, perfectly seasoned chicken served over a rich, smoky eggplant-yogurt puree is pure comfort food. The portions here are massive--expect to comfortably get a meal and a half (if not two full meals) out of a single entree. * Kanafeh: Save room for dessert, no matter how full you are. Their kanafeh is unbelievable: crisp, golden shredding on the outside, gooey melted cheese on the inside, and just the right amount of sweet syrup to tie it all together. Between the vibrant atmosphere, top-tier food quality, and guaranteed leftovers, Café Turko is easily one of the best dining spots in the neighborhood. Highly recommended!

Turkish coffee is a short robust coffee, similar to espresso. Served with dark brown sugar and a Turkish delight candy, it is superb. The food here is awesome. From Turkish pizza and flatbreads to some delicately flavored kebabs. All served by some of the nicest people. I've been in a couple of times and there's always members of the local Turkish community eating here. Says great things about any ethnic restaurant when folks from that ethnicity choose to eat there. If you like Eastern Mediterranean food, give Cafe Turko a try!
