2 wings + 2 legs with potatoes. Legs were HUGE!!! Juicy and crispy

What a hidden gem to find. Of course thanks for TikTok for the recommendation! Outside has a huge banner that states "home of the best fried chicken" I say it's pretty darn good. After a flight, we were hungry, almost borderline HANGRY.. went straight from SEA to here and I was not disappointed. Super friendly workers and fast service. We didn't want to get full since this is only the first stop of many food stops. And I am glad that we got 2 each cause they're HUGE. The leg is HUGE! Perfect amount to hold me over until the next stop. They had a few seating inside but we just took it to go and couldn't wait and ate it in the car. Definitely check it out. Crispy and juicy. Great service. Welcoming smiles. Ps: 50 cent up charge for using card

Man. This gem. I hate to give it up but good good deserves to be shared. The chicken is crispy, salty, savory, juicy, so delicious! The wonders are always friendly and they stay ready with chicken always fresh to sell! Quick in and out! The hot sauce: they say it's only Frank's but it's secret ingredient!

So late to the party on this place my friend Ken has been telling about this place for years. Only wings and legs were a available when I got there about 11:30 on a Saturday. Could've waited 15 minutes for them to fry up a thigh and breast but didn't have the time to spare today. Would definitely come back for the chicken! I don't usually like legs but these drumsticks were huge as well as the wings for $8 and change great deal. Perfectly season has a tiny bit of a kick which I loved. Crispy exterior and the chicken was moist inside. Made another stop on the way home even though the delicious smell of the chicken was killing us on the way home threw it into the microwave for about 40 seconds just yo heat it up so it traveled well!

First read about Quick Pack Food Mart from an article featured from the long gone Seattle Weekly: https://www.seattleweekly.com/food/the-most-magical-fried-chicken-in-seattle/ Me and The Homie checked it out back on 11/4/18. We had no idea what to expect, but we walked inside this borderline sketchy spot. Wow, ordered, paid up, and walked out with a sack of fried chicken. We didn't even bother driving it home or eating in the car. At the corner of MLK Way and S Jackson, we started digging in the sack of fragrant, crisp fried chicken in the parking lot. Fried chicken on the car trunk. No frills, no sauce, no secret spices...just damn fine fried chicken. Between the two of us, we've probably consumed an entire chicken farm over the years, lol. We spread the culinary chicken dollars all over the city at various indie spots like Wing Dome, Ba Bar, Mangosteen, Bok a Bok, Heaven Sent, Brothers and Sisters, S/T Hooligans, and Cookie's Country Chicken. Heck even a sale bag from Safeway's deli will do. I revisited Quick Pack Food Mart after stopping by nearby Temple Pastries on 5/9/21 as part of a low key Mother's Day Sunday wandering drive. The same folks were behind the counter. Honestly, I have no idea what else they sell at their business. All I know is that I made a socially distanced beeline to the deli display case at the front counter. This time it was for an order of 7 chicken wings (=14 wings elsewhere) for a little over $16 with an extra charge for using a debit card. Pleasant service and received well wishes for Mother's Day. Meandered from the Central District to University District/Portage Bay and ate two wings at Fritz Hedges Waterway Park. Sitting outside by the water, fresh air, sunny, eating tasty fried chicken. Simple but mighty fine Mother's Day. Two words to remember when stopping by Quick Pack Food Mart, FRIED CHICKEN!

Fried chicken, i took four big bites inside the parking lot..

This fried chicken staple of Seattle all of Washington state. Fresh crispy fried chicken. Thighs & drum sticks and chicken wangs yummy What i love most is the lady so nice and she promise her fried chicken is the best. I agree, the fried chicken is so delicious

I was hanging out with a group of friends and one of them mentioned this spot. He was so insistent that we try their food, and naturally, we headed right over. And of course, it was a welcome surprise. The first impression gives off vibes akin to a "mom-and-pop" shop. Inside is small and humble. It wouldn't take long for you to see the golden chicken at the register. The lady at the register was incredibly hospitable. She constantly asked if we were doing well and ensured we got the most out of our visit. The chicken I had was mainly wings and drums. The chicken and a crispy golden exterior. The meat itself was tender and soft but not incredibly moist. The chicken skin carried most of the spices/seasonings. I couldn't quite pinpoint what they were but I remember it being delicious. This spot is located pretty far away from any major attractions in the city. If you can find the time, I definitely recommend giving them a chance. Food: 4/5 This is probably the best-fried chicken I've had in Seattle. Service: 5/5 Loved the cashier. They were so nice and even gave my group of friends extra pieces of chicken! Atmosphere: N/A This spot leans more "to-go" style.

Oooooohhhh man this place is legit!!! I have heard so many good things about this place and am so glad to try it out. It's definitely a hole in the wall and I would probably not even know of this place unless I heard it from people. But once you know, it's hard to miss it as it's a pink building standing on its own with no other business attached. Anyways, I came here hoping to get chicken and that's what I got. They only had wings and 1 leg available at the time so we ended up getting the last piece of leg and 6 pieces of wings along with some JoJo's. We had to eat the wings at home but was able to try the JoJo's on our drive home. It's not the crispiest JoJo's but the flavors are there and for 1.25, you get a generous portion. The wings and legs was still perfectly crispy by the time we got home and it was delicious. I also like that it wasn't super salty and had the right amount of flavoring. These pieces aren't your typical size either, they were humongous! So pricing was also superb. The lady who took our order was also nice, she had this southern hospitality vibe that made us feel very comfortable talking to her and placing our order Overall, not the best chicken I ever had but it's definitely one of the top contenders and definitely will be back

Renowned for their fried chicken! I love hole in the wall places and this places! Basically a quick-e-mart with a deep fat fryer and warming cabinet. They only had wings and legs today which might reflect availability of chicken parts due to the national pandemic. Wings were those gargantuan ones that are borderline too big to be from normal chickens. Crust is decent, paper thin and crunchy. The legs were a little disappointing and not totally as done as i personally like. The side of jojos were suprisingly amazing! They also serve Sambusas but had none that day. I have a feeling might be an off day and i will be back to try again when they have breast and thighs.

Oh man! I'm a fried chicken connoisseur and this fried chicken is divine. My favorite was or maybe still is Ezells but the chicken here is definitely making me second guess which one is better. The meat is juicy and the skin is cooked to perfection. Definitely blows KFC, Popeyes, churches and most chicken places out of the water.

Starting with the food, the shrimp and grits are creamy and packed with flavor, the eggs Benedict with bacon has perfectly poached eggs with a zippy crystal hollandaise, the waffle has a satisfying texture and comes with a comforting henny butter, and the best part that ties it all together: GARLIC. AIOLI. I have tasted many garlic aioli in my 28 years of life and this is by far the most delicious garlic aioli around. It's something I can't explain; you need to try it for yourself. With the breakfast potatoes, on the Benedict, in the shrimp and grits, by itself, I don't care, I just need it bottled up ASAP. As for the atmosphere, it's quite cozy and warm as a diner would be. I had to wait around 30 minutes both times I went because it was prime brunch time on Saturday and was fully worth the wait. The service is very welcoming and kind, and there's a good variety of sauces available on each table. They also serve Boon Boona coffee which is a Renton based coffee roaster, and I always love seeing local businesses support other local businesses. The smell of rotting trash isn't the most amenable to good eats. Luckily, there's a boba shop across the street to get drinks at and sit down to eat. When we walked up for a late lunch at 2PM, we were warned that they were working on a huge catering order and the food might take 15-20 minutes to come out. We decided to stick with it anyways, and hope for the best - it turns out they that overestimated the time, so we were out in under 10 minutes. Sesame Soy Garlic ($11) - Starting with the star chicken - woah, totally different from most fried chicken. The batter, made from a mixture of vodka, rice flour, and cornstarch (per DDD), has a really hard crunch, much harder than expected. It's the firmest crunchy fried chicken I've ever had, bar none. Not enough to shatter teeth, but getting close. They use chicken thigh but they seem to trim the skin off, then fry it very hard, rendering it kind of dry rather than fatty and moist. There's a thin layer of chicken right under the dredge that's dried out and very tough. The interior chicken shreds into layers that aren't easy to chew through due to how dry they are. The sandwich includes crispy onions, but they get lost due to how crunchy the chicken is. The menu lists kale and lemon aioli, which I don't think this sandwich included. Instead, they use mixed salad greens and they slather it with two different sauces - one that's kind of peppery, creamy but runny, and another that's more savory, salty and sweet. The flavors all meld together well, but I think the chicken needs a bit of work. (4/5) Garlic Lovers ($11) - Woah, this sandwich is an explosion of garlic. It's like eating pure creamy roasted garlic, such overpowering but very pleasant garlic flavor. That's honestly all I can taste in this sandwich, paired with the same piece of fried thigh and buttery bun as the other sandwich. Very tasty with all the same drawbacks. (4/5) Biscuit with Spiced Honey ($3.75) - This biscuit is very dense, dry, and not flaky even though it's clearly a layered biscuit. It's not salted and not buttery in any way, instead tasting mostly like the base grain and rather alkaline. It's difficult to eat by itself due to how dry it is. Luckily it's served with spiced honey. The honey is sweet and is mixed with plenty of warming spices, almost tasting like a holiday mulling mix. (2/5) My feelings on Bok a Bok are mixed. While the fried chicken exterior is extremely crisp, the tradeoff seems to be a tough, dry, and stringy interior. The flavors are good, but the texture is not. There are a lot of fried chicken sandwich places on Capitol Hill and while this one has a unique concept, I'm not sure I would visit again.

I tell my non-Asian friends that they should leave an Asian restaurant if you don't see any Asians inside. I am happy to say we were the odd ducks in this place! Love me some legit soul food. The menu is straightforward. We ordered at the counter. The food is brought to our table. The food took quite a while with big crowds coming in after us. I suspect they cook in batches as multiple groups received food at the same time. It was mostly self-service (utensils, water) until the restaurant quieted down, then we saw servers cleaning tables, etc. The Food: Combo Dinner with two sides, $26 - 5 Stars The combo plat offers two meat choices. I chose the wings and catfish. The wings are sizable and plump. Highly recommend. The catfish was a thinner cut and a bit dryer. I liked the very thin breading on the catfish, not greasy, and it tasted good with Tabasco. For sides, both the collard greens and fried okra are excellent. In fact, I say the okra is perfection! The little corn bread is just right for me. I thought the corn bread has good flavor while hubby said it was too dry. Catfish Dinner with two sides, $24 - 3.5 Stars Hubby complained the catfish was too thin. He's not a Tabasco person, so that doesn't help. I gave him two wings to calm him down. Lol. He loved the hush puppies the best. They are huge with a wonderful crisp. I agree with him! He thought the yams are too sweet; they do look sweet in the liquids but isn't that want yams are intended to be? I think he just needs to order differently in the future. Note they have a 3.5% service charge for credit card purchases. See line on the menu photo.

We ended up at the bar and honestly it worked out perfectly. Our bartender was friendly, engaging and just made us feel right at home. Another staff member came through at some point and was equally as kind. The service all around was great. Now let me talk about the food because that cabbage had no business being that good. I know that sounds random but it was my favorite thing and I did not see that coming. The mac and cheese was delicious, the fried chicken was really good, and my husband was all about the rice and black eyed peas (surprisingly). I also ordered a non alcoholic drink and even though I cannot remember the name it was really good too. We didn't have a reservation, but after about a 10-minute wait, we were lucky enough to snag two seats at the bar. From the moment we walked in, the vibe felt warm, welcoming, and genuinely hospitable. The seating seems intentionally designed to bring people together, and you could see it in the mix of large groups, couples, and even solo diners. Like the name, it had a "communal" energy that made the space feel alive and intimate. The hostess, bartenders, and our waitress were all phenomenal. They were attentive and easy to talk to. Also, the playlist was good. It really added to the overall experience. We started with the sweet potato hoe cakes, and they were absolutely amazing. I loved the texture. They were soft, pillowy, and balanced. They weren't too sweet, even with the honey butter. I wish I'd ordered more to go because I haven't stopped thinking about them. I'll have to try recreating them at home. For my entree, I ordered the stuffed trout, and this is where things really took off. It's a whole fried trout stuffed with a seafood dressing (shrimp, catfish and oysters), and it immediately caught my eye on the menu. I'm not used to eating whole fish, and I don't think I'd even had trout before, but this dish was mouthwateringly good. The fish was crispy, hot, and perfectly seasoned. The béarnaise sauce really set it off. There were so many layers of flavor and texture, and everything just worked together perfectly. On top of that, the presentation was stunning. I posted it on my Instagram story and immediately had people asking where my food was as from. This meal was very memorable. I have zero notes. The ambiance, food, music, and service were all top-tier. Side note: There is a 5% "communal" surcharge added to every bill. The money is used to support staff benefits, the support staff, and the line cooks. This is separate from the gratuity. This surcharge is clearly explained on the menu, and I really love and appreciate the transparency and that they care about the employees. But yeah. Super good. We love a good meal and we damn near left there skipping.

The Mac n Cheese was cheesy but the noodles were a bit more cooked than I liked. The Fried chicken was super juicy and flavorful. We got the 1st spice level which I thought was good but I would definitely want to try the other options to see how they taste as well. Between the family meal and additional large side it came out to about $95 but it was more than enough food.
