Very satisfying late night meal! I'm pretty set in my pescatarian ways, only rarely eat meat and when I do it has to be zabiha halal and this truffle mushroom burger was worth it! Ordering process was fast, burger was cooked to perfection, not too greasy. I also love when a spot stamps their burger buns. I know it's just aesthetics, but I still love it. I finally had the chance to grab a burger and fries today, and I'm glad I finally did, as I now have a new go to spot for quick quality burgers in Capitol Hill. I ended up getting the smoky smash but swapped out the smoky sauce for their signature classic sauce. The burger patty had a nice crisp to it, and a juicy center. I also enjoyed all the toppings including the beef bacon bits! It's rare to find a burger spot that has beef bacon, and it was a nice addition to the burger. As many reviews resonated, they really need to step up on time estimates. We went here for late night, ordering our smashburger deep in West Seattle as we saw it would take 20 minutes, and we arrived in time for their original ETA. However, when we checked up on the order, it was an additional 10 min, and even that was off. We finally got a text 20 minutes later, so about a 45 min wait for a burger and fries after midnight, ridiculous, as it wasn't even that busy in comparison to prime meal times. We got the truffle mushroom smashburger with extra patty and seasoned fries, which came out to $20. Very steep for what you get, and this is the price for paying direct and pickup. Imagine how crazy expensive it is if you ordered delivery! The smashburger patties were fairly thick, no issues there, just loses out on the crispiness of the thinly sliced patties in exchange for more protein. The truffle flavor is super faint, as I mostly tasted the nicely sauteed mushrooms. I liked how they stamped their burger top bun with the name of the restaurant (I assume their official logo). The seasoned fries were really good - nicely crispy and seasoned. It is expensive at $5.50 for the amount of fries you get, but if you must have fries with burger, then this is the one you should get. Like other reviews say, this place is fairly soulless, zero human interaction with workers with food prepared in a ghost kitchen. You type your order number or scan your mobile screen where you ordered, and when the food is ready, you just take it out of one of the 12 lockers. Halal Smash BRGR is everything you could want in a smash burger. With fluffy buns with an engraved logo on top, perfectly crispy patties, and a creamy, slightly tangy sauce, this burger is to die for. I personally get the smoky smash which comes with bacon and a smoky house sauce and it elevates this already great burger to another level. The fries are crisp and come with a variety of different dipping sauces. The restaurant itself is very unique. It's a small room with an I pad to place an order. You then get a number and wait for it to be called. Upon getting the notification that the order is ready you punch in a number to a locker and it opens up with your food. Disappointed on many levels. I had high hopes based on reviews here so adding another to balance the scales. Good first: The fries were great. They seem battered and were crisp, hot, and very tasty. The classic sauce was a great dip and had me curious about the "Loaded" iteration, not my usual jam. The bun was great! So. I had the usual smash that I order everywhere I find one: a double classic. Two smashed beef patties with American cheese, pickles or relish, onions if standard, lettuce, and usually tomato. Before I got to the food at this walk-up pick-up only place, I had to check in at a kiosk to unlock the Amazon-esque locker where my order awaited my arrival. No direct human at all though the kiosk asks me about adding a tip (don't get me started). The door did not open. I tried again. I tried a third time. I tried putting in my name. I tried scanning my phone. Nothing worked. A worker was going in and out an employees only door, ignoring me. A nice stranger was trying to help. The door wasn't opening. I hit the "call for help" button on the kiosk screen. I yelled through the window asking for help. After a couple of minutes, a guy shows up and says, "Name?" I give it, he looks confused at his side of the lockers, then grabs a bag, puts it on the counter and walks away without another word. ... Okay ... I took the order to a picnic table outside the door and opened my bag. Everything seemed to be in order. I took that first bite of the burger and... it was cold and dry, basically cooked to death and leathery. It seemed old, pre-made. I moved to the fries that were, as I mentioned at the top, hot and pretty much perfect. I tried one more bite of the burger in case another side might be better but it was a complete waste. I threw it away. After the ordeal of just getting the order, I saw no way to get the shitty burger remade, so I just left. A bad experience except for the fries, which is why this review isn't one star. There are now many places serving up good, even exceptional, smashed burgers in Seattle. After I posted this review I got a call saying my order has been ready since 2:26 well we're at around 2:48 after the owner or manager apologized I got my food around 3 pm for a simple burger. Something glitched in their system. Got refunded and got a fresh burger. Shame the other one either was left in the locker or was taken by someone else. What a waste of an hour of my life. Cannot change the 1 star review since they did waste an hour of my life but made it right at the end. GOOD BURGER but not an hour worth of wait for a stupid mistake. My partner is obsessed with burgers, so while I generally don't care that much for them, I've been eating more and more of them, and this place makes a *very* solid burger. Their truffle mushroom one is excellent. Their seasoned fries are SO good, and generally arrive crispy, even with delivery. Prices are pretty reasonable for the quality of the food. I do wish there was an way to order their take-out burgers without cheese (since every single burger on their menu comes with cheese), but sadly they don't allow for that on their online order system, and they don't really take order revisions on the phone. Note: we typically order take out from here, but I came here once to pick up and it is just a weird ghost kitchen set up with food lockers and a QR code scanner and no actual people to talk to. The street parking situation is terrible because of all the delivery people pulled over trying to get food orders. read more

I've always had a preconception of very little beef when it comes to smash burgers but hold your horses.......this place is dynamite!!! Mind you, there is no physical place where you can sit and enjoy your meal but don't let that distract you from the quality and taste of this epic smash burger!! I ordered the Classic with an extra patty assuming each patty would be paper thin. Boy was I wrong! This thing must of weighed a pound! Crispy edges, juicy beef, fresh lettuce and tomato, pillowy bun.......what more can you ask for? I can't put into words the euphoria I felt after that first bite. All I know is that my mouth was in heaven! And let's not dismiss their season fries. As I mentioned earlier, no physical place to eat so when I got home, I naturally popped the fries in the good ol' microwave to try and capture that crispness of fresh fries out of a deep fryer.
