The only reason that I gave Dave's a 4 instead of a 5 is because I thought the chicken was a little bit on the salty side, not enough to ruin the meal or anything. Probably just a personal palate thing for me. Tips: - I got the mild - this is perfect if you don't want the heat but like the flavor - Get some extra sauce, it is awesome - If you really want to take your slider to a new level, ask for some honey packets and drizzle it on top of the chicken along with the Dave's Sauce. - There is a parking garage behind the building close to the Giant. I got medium and it was truly medium (spicy enough for a real tingle but nothing crazy). Would come back! I ordered one of the meals (I think #3) and it was a good portion of food. Chicken was not dry, very juicy. Spice flavor was present but not overwhelming so I couldn't actually taste the chicken. This place was clean, had extraordinarily friendly staff for fast food/fast casual and the food was delicious for our diverse family which included 2 vegetarians, a baby, a picky eater and some who want spicy and some who do not. We fed our family for 45 dollars and included two orders of no-chicken cauliflower bites, Mac n Cheese, a milk shake that our children split and two orders of chicken tender sandwiches and fries. Great spot for good quality hot fried chicken. I had the hot slider with fries and I enjoyed all of it. The chicken was great, bun was a delicious potato roll type of bread, and the Cole slaw and pickles paired the heat level perfectly. It's located in Columbia heights in the old movie theater where Z burger used to be but the inside is not decorated to fit the Dave's Hot chicken theme. The employees quickly get you order taken and you wait all of 7-14 mins depending on what you order. The food was a for sure let down for me and I was disappointed, from the presentation of the food to the taste I felt like I could've done better cooking this myself at home. The sliders were ok tasting but the cheese on the cheese fries for some odd reason didn't taste like cheese that's normally on cheese fries, the taste of it was off and I can't describe it really.
