We have been fan's of Dave's Sushi for 20 years. Thru the good times and their more recent bad times. We have been loyal customers. My wife and I ordered take-out yesterday. We ordered three rolls, two nigiri and some tofu and seaweed. $100. I would consider this very high. However, my big disappointment was the 10% mandatory tip for a takeout order. I generally tip 20% for an in-person dining experience. The modicum of service associated with a takeout order seems to be the responsibility of the restaurant charging me $100. read more

After graduating in 2017 from MSU, my husband and I made the trip back to Bozeman and Dave's was at the top of our list for a visit and did not disappoint. It was packed on a Sunday night at 730 pm but we got in right away. The service was great, always there when you needed them and willing to answer questions. The food was better than we remembered! We were here with our kids at 4:30 on Monday. We got a table right away by some other families and I was surprised that it was already pretty crowded but I'd heard this place always has a line. I wanted to love this so much!!! After reading the great reviews and seeing signs all over the Gallatin Valley we decided to grab a couple rolls for lunch. We were visiting from PA and have a love of sushi. We never imagined we could get it in Montana. We ordered ahead on a Monday and it was ready for pickup in 20 minutes. Better than waiting. We picked two basic rolls, and I was shocked at the $28 price. It looked amazing but honestly tasted a little too fishy (I got spicy crab and have had way better for $6.99 in PA.) Unfortunately I was tasting it for the rest of the afternoon too. I'm allergic to onions, chives, etc. so I wasn't thrilled that they put the two rolls together in one container. It really made my spicy crab roll that didn't come with chives taste oniony. Not sure I'd go back but it was worth a try! Maybe a different roll would have changed my opinion. read more

My Dad really likes this restaurant when he's traveling thru Bozeman. It was quite packed 6/16 so we had to wait 30 min, but it was worth the wait. My husband & I both had the Dave's ramen bowl, which was really delicious. Almost every noodle bowl I eat is too salty & has a small amount of meat, but Dave's Sushi did not oversalt this dish and it was loaded with pork. It was also served with a runny egg, scallions & carrot sticks. Dad enjoyed his favorite, Rainbow roll.
