My alternator gave out on I-64 when I was halfway to a family get together this summer. It was late in afternoon and everybody I called said they wouldn't help me anymore that day. After a numerous attempts, somebody finally gave me the number for Dave's Tires and said to try them. He first told he was booked full with close to a dozen other waiting for an opening, and even tried to call a few people he knew to try to find someone else to help, but with no avail. So when he heard I was traveling alone and still hours from my destination, he told me to find someone to tow me over (used Bob's towing and he was also great!) and he'd help me out. These guys were heaven-sent! As a women traveling alone, stranded in WV mountains, I didn't know what I was getting myself into, but they were exactly what I asked God for. They were friendly, helpful, respectful and more then generous with their time, resources, and billing. Not only did they get me back on the road that day, I felt safe, even protected, the entire time I was at their shop, and paid much less then I should've for a normal fix, let alone an emergency fix in the middle of an already over-booked day. I can't promote their services enough! Locals, you're blessed to have these guys! Travelers, if you need help, this is the place you want to call - don't bother with any of the others! read more
