This Firestone is a complete disaster. I had an appointment for an oil change at 8 AM, so I arrived a bit early at 7:57 AM to ensure I was on time. I started checking in, and the worker asked if I wanted to add tire rotation. I said yes, and everything seemed to be going smoothly. While I waited for them to finish, I decided to take a walk and browse the stores around the area. Fast forward to 10 AM, and I returned to find my car still in the same spot. I was a bit upset to see that it hadn't been worked on yet. I went to get a status update with the manager, and he asked if I had an appointment. I told him I had one at 8 AM. He then started looking for my appointment on his computer and told me he couldn't find it. I pulled out my phone to show him the reservation, but he still said he was having trouble finding it. His coworker chimed in and told him the number of the appointment. He then said that they had cars from overnight that they were working on first. I would have understood if this had been communicated to me when I arrived at 8 AM, but it wasn't. So, I waited for 3.5 hours, and my car was finally done at 11:25 AM. I paid and left with my invoice emailed to me. Please don't come here. They don't care about customer service or setting expectations. If an oil change takes 3 hours, they should at least communicate that to the customer. Many of us don't want to spend all day at an auto shop on our day off, especially since this was just for an oil change. To add to this experience, it was raining, and instead of parking my car in the covered area in front of the shop, they parked it in the parking lot. Terrible experience. Scheduled an appointment on a Saturday at 9am. Got there at 8:45am and didn't leave until after 11am. They were supposed to remove a nail in one of my tires and patch it up. A few days later the tire was low again and noticed the nail was still in the tire. Went back and they said they fixed the wrong tire when there was no issue with the tire. The only reason that I've used them more than once is because the location less than 5 miles from my home, so when the service is slow (which is always is) I can normally just leave my car overnight and ride my bike back home. The staff act like helping customers is a personal inconvenience, they do not respect appointment times AT ALL, and the service is abysmally slow. Every single time I take my car there for any reason, I am immediately upsold on unnecessary "recommended" services that cost 5-6x more than what I initially brought the car in for. It was horrible and I will never go to any Firestone again. Nov. 2024-Firestone at 2500 Parmer Ln. performed a diagnostic and I paid for parts. Dec. 2024-repair attempted but not completed. March 2025-repair attempted again but failed. I asked for a refund but the manager at the time refused. He wanted two more months. I got it in writing that I would receive a full refund on June 1 if it wasn't done by that time. I never heard from him again. June 4, 2025-I went back to Firestone for my refund. The manager I had dealt with was no longer there. The new manager was not authorized to process a refund of that amount. He escalated it to the South Texas Regional Manager. August 1, 2025-I finally received my refund. Summary: 6 months of chasing completion of the repair with the former manager and then 2 additional months chasing my refund with the South Texas Regional Manager. read more

Showed up at 11 and was immediately told "can you leave it overnight? no way we can get that done today." I explained that's why I made a morning appt a week ago, and I work in this truck and can't leave it for 24hrs- that's why I made an appt." and he said, "Sorry- I didn't even see the appointment in here because were so backed up on appts even from yesterday." He was so kind and knowledgeable when I was panicking about my car - turns out all I needed was to get my tire reinflated, it wasn't a complete lost cause like I thought - so he inflated all my tires for free and told me to come by if they seemed to be losing air again too quickly. He wasn't angry at all that I wasted his time (I told him my tire was "blown out" since someone else had told me that so he spent a long time trying to find a problem that wasn't there) and he was super understanding about the whole thing and I am still so grateful!! One of the worst experience I have ever had. Requested an appointment on a Monday to address an issue we were having with our vehicle. It was warranty service and we were directed to Firestone as one of the providers. An appointment was provided (online) at 2PM the same day. Later they came back and requested we move to Wednesday 4/9 at 8 AM (which was no problem). I dropped the vehicle off at 8 am on Wednesday and heard NOTHING until I called at 6 1/2 hours later, at which time I was told curtly "no update". I said "oh" so has it been looked at, do you think it might be ready soon, to which they repeated "no update". I told them Icouldn't leave the car much longer as it had already been there 7 hours to which I received an "ok". I went to Firestone at 3:45 - and found the car outside. Walked inside - and said I was picking up the car and was basically blown off for a few minutes. Finally one of the people came over and I was curtly told - we can't fix it - you need to take it to the dealer. I asked for a little more information so I can explain what was going on to the folks that old me to go there for the warranty work and which point they rolled their eyes and said they would get the manager, who basically said they weren't interested in talking to me (I heard them in the office). The person then said they would get the master tech....who after a bit of time came out and give me a bit more information- to his credit he was a least polite. To have an appointment established in advance...take it on time...have it sit for 7 hours with ZERO update is ridiculous enough. And then to receive the reception I did on top of that - inexcusable. It was not like I was at all rude (it was pretty much all online) and all they had to do was call and say "hey - we aren't able to deal with this" after looking at it. Instead, they kept it 7 hours, I had to contact them for an update (and even then I had to go in to see what is going on at 3:30) and then was basically ignored. Took my 2002 f150 in here for a walk in oil change. They got it done same day. Not only that, they were able to find a bulb out that was causing this annoying chime. I have asked at the place I went to prior about this chime and the guy treated me like I was stupid. I loved the service I received and they did all of it very quick. This place is not equipped to service walk ins as they say when you call. Called a day before going in looking for a state inspection. I drive an (EV) The phones right off the bat didn't work correctly as they had an issue with the line they had answered with. Second I asked if I could make an appointment and was told they do not do that. The gentlemen that I was speaking to told me to come at 7am when they open and they would be able to see me as a walk in right away. Well here we are today. I wake up head over to be there by 7am. So I walk in. The gentleman at the front seems to already have a routine down. The guy in front of me needed an inspection as well as an oil change. When asked, the front desk guy said it would be a hour or so because of work they had not finished the night before and that they would need to wait for the fleet company to get in contact. (Which I understand) Now it's my turn. I say hi I need an inspection done And before anything the guy states ok we can do that it will be a while before we can get started. I tell him what I was told about being there at the start of the day since I drive an EV. The employee then goes in. We have work from the night before plus appointments scheduled. I am obviously confused at this as I was told to just walk in by 7am to be in and out. My issue is that if you tell someone to change their day around to accommodate a half given appointment to be somewhere at a certain time. Make it work. I know for a fact it takes no longer then 15 MAYBE 20 to run a inspection. So what life altering work would the place have been doing that they couldn't honor what was told to me the day before? If I was you I would never go to this location again. The blatant disregard for the customers time as well and lack of communication on their end with in house is astonishing. We told them we have schedule appointment ahead of time. They made us waiting for over 2 hours just to check and couldn't complete it without part. Schedule online or calling are really irrelevant. I recently took my car in to have my batt replaced and an alignment done and had a not so great experience here when I did that. I won't go into all the deets on why the experience was 1-star, but let's just say I was upsold on additional service, told everything would be done by a given time, and some of the services were not completed by the time (3+hrs later) and discounts/coupons that should have been applied to my invoice were not. However, Jason, the manager here redeemed this location 1000%! I had written this place off and was never ever going to come back. I had done the survey after my subpar experience and the day after I had submitted it, Jason personally called me to not only profusely apologize for the awful experience and tell me that it was not the norm, but also to notify me that he not only applied the coupons correctly to my invoice, but he also gave me a percentage off for my ordeal and offered a discount on my lifetime alignment and that he would get me in and taken care of if I brought the car back at my convenience. I was floored by the extra level to not only apologize for the initial bad experience, but the above and beyond Jason went to to try and make things right. This is what real customer service is and I cannot give him enough kudos for taking the personal initiative to reach out. Had a very good experience at this Firestone location. Talked with a total of 3 employees regarding my vehicle and each employee answered my questions thoroughly. Each employee was kind, patient & had a sense of humor. If you treat others with respect, you will be treated with respect in return is the way I see it. The employees at this location were honest and pro rated my replacement battery even though this wasn't the same location I visited last time. It could have been easy to not be honest but they were so I trust this location & company more for the honest decision they made. The employee working on my vehicle was knowledgeable and provided me with the root cause of my vehicle's problems. I actually never knew what was wrong with my vehicle prior to this visit. I've visited other Firestone locations because at the time they were closest to me & the other locations just had me replace parts but the root cause was never solved. My vehicle kept having the same issue repeatedly. Even though I chose to not fix the root cause due to the estimated cost of replacement parts and labor, the employees were very kind and helpful. I even had questions regarding towing my vehicle if it came to that & they gave me advice which went above & beyond what they needed to do in their scope. Only thing I suggest the company could do better at is scheduling. I initially requested an appointment on the 28th @1pm because it was available on the website but when the email confirmation was sent the next day in the morning, the appointment was moved to the 29th @1pm. This wasn't a big deal because my schedule was flexible. However, I could see this being an issue for someone that doesn't have a flexible schedule and would want their initial requested service date to be honored. I understand their schedule could have filled up on the 28th & they most likely didn't want to make a promise they couldn't keep so they thought it was best to move it to the 29th. However, I can overlook this because of the excellent customer service they provided. I definitely will visit this location again and recommend this company & location to others. read more

I set an appointment to get my car diagnosed for a possible coolant leak and an engine problem. The day Of my appointment came and when I went to drop off the vehicle, I was told that it wouldn't even be diagnosed until the next day. The next day comes around and I got a call that it wouldn't be diagnosed until the day after. That day comes and I dont recieve any type of information on my vehicle. After 2 1/2 days of nothing done, I call to see the status of my vehicle. Nothing had been done, not even a diagnostic and my vehicle was still behind in line after setting an appointment beforehand. Took my car here for a nail in a tire. Only one was leaking, but was told a second tire also had nail. $45 just to patch! I was willing to pay because place is close to work and they quoted me 30 minutes, but in reality it took over an hour and a half so I was much later to work than planned. I get that estimates aren't exact, but 3x longer is a bit ridiculous. On a side note, the TV was super loud, so much that I ended up going outside multiple times to escape the noise. This has been an awful experience. I would rather have my car explode than taking it to these scammers. My AC was not working and I took it to them and they gave me a false quote. I left the car with them and they called me a couple hours later explaining that my whole AC System broke down because the compressor threw pellets everywhere and broke and condenser and all of that. And gave me a 2.8k quote to buy and install everything. Now here is the shady business shit. Compressor 170usd and they tried to tell it for 400 Condenser 60BUCKS AND THEY TRIED TO SELL IT FOR 400 and same thing with other to pieces. Then add the 1.3k ish for labor totalling in almost 3kusd. Luckily my dad is a mechanic a bought everything for around 400usd and came all the way from groves to austin(4hours drive). After a couple of days of not working (because i need my car for work) my dad came and took the car and after un-mounting everything, the only thing wrong was the compressor clutch and that was 50 bucks to fix. So these scammers took away my time... my dads time and made us buy a whole AC system because of a false quote. Do not take your car to this place. They will scam the living shit out you. read more

Went in to get my car tested for the emissions Everyone was nice, waited a bit but expected that Mainly giving a lower tier rating because they tried to tell me two of my tires were barely passing in terms of tread, when the tires are only months old. Then tried to get me to buy a WHOLE set of new tires, not just two to replace the "bad" ones (which doesn't make sense). I had my father talk to the worker over the phone since I wasn't comfortable, and since it was under my father's ownership, not mine. I get it, it helps your bottom line to upsell stuff. However that's not upselling: that's flat out lying. Me meeting legal deadlines for registration depends on this test, and it's a crappy thing to pull just to get some money in your pocket. I mean, the amount was equal to a month of my rent. I've heard about the tactic before but we use a good local mechanic in my hometown (in another state) so I've never experienced it myself until this. I'm just annoyed. read more

If I could give 0 stars i would!!!! On November 28 I made an appointment to take my vehicle to firestone at 2500 W. Palmer Ln. Austin, Texas location to have a fuel pump assembly replaced. Verbal quote in hand I showed up 10 minutes early to my scheduled appointment to drop off my vehicle. On Friday December 2, I took my vehicle at 3:45 pm to drop it off for Saturday appointment at 7 AM. The following morning 24 hours later around 8:50 AM Firestone on Parmer ln. called and told me they could not do the job because they didn't have the jack to drop the gas tank. They also recommend that I take it to a different Firestone location. My immediate question to their statement is why it took 24 hours to tell me they didn't have the Jack to complete the job which they scheduled the appointment a week and a half in advance to do. This should have been advised on Friday afternoon when I drop my vehicle off.   I asked again when I picked up my vehicle to take it to the other location they had recommended. The staff at 2500 W. Parmer ln could not give me a reason to which a week had elapsed from when I made the appointment and 24 hours after I dropped it off I was notified they are unable to do the job. I feel this is extremely unprofessional.   This situation is unprofessional for Firestone at location 2500 W Parmer Ln. Austin Texas to have a customer make appointment for a job they couldn't full-fill due to not having the equipment to do the job, It is my belief that they used the jack as an excuse to negate the lack of expert staffing.   They knew that fuel pump assembly replacement required a Jack to lower the gas tank. It is very unprofessional for the way they handled this situation. As a customer for years Firestone and a valued Credit card holder this made me feel like they just didn't want to do the job for me.   This caused a very stressful and inconvenient situation for me. I ended up having to take my vehicle to another Firestone location and walking upwards of 4 miles without a vehicle to attempt to get to the location to pick up my vehicle to take it to another location to complete the replacement of the fuel pump assembly.   I would not recommend using Firestone at 2500 W. Parmer Ln. Austin, Texas for your vehicle repairs. The employee's unprofessionalism is unacceptable. They are unprofessional, unprepared, & disorganized.  I believe that they just did not have a mechanic that could do the job.
