Hello All, Let me start off by saying I recommend Dr. Samimi for any of your needs regarding the eye/eyelid. For a year plus I had a lump under both the top and bottom of my eyelid, which was known to be a chalazion. After strenuous research and the endless reading of reviews I decided to go with Dr. Samimi and his services. Upon arriving at his office I had to fill out the preliminary paper work but that was rather fast. But during this time I was greeted and made to feel comfortable and prepared and given a complimentary water. This was nice because usually at doctors offices you're to get your own water, lol! Dr. Samimi didn't just jump into the operation but he took his time, engaged in conversation, and got to know me and I found that sincere. Once the procedure started he assured me of the pleasantness and not to worry. Before I knew it I was done. Although, I was paying cash for my procedure, I didn't have all of it on me at the time--he/his secretary allowed me to pay later--more so on an honor system. They didn't contract me into a promise-to-pay clause. They gave me however much time I needed, which I thought was rather cool. Usually doctors want their money before even seeing you, so this says a lot about Dr. Samimi and his staff. Great guy and he definitely knows what he is going. Dr. Samimi is amazing! I was referred to him only by chance, & I will never trust another eyelid specialist! I was seen by another before I went to him, and wasn't really explained much. Dr. Samimi has great bed side manner and profssional. He takes his time with every patient, you never feel rushed. Great at answering any questions you have. And I have probably asked some pretty ridiculous ones. Lol. I went to him with an orbital tumor in my left eye. It was obvious to him that it was growing. He gave me a few options, but really wanted it out, it was already causing me other issues and problems. I was extremely nervous and scared to have a ugly scar on my face, but he did an amzing job! He made sure to go along my eyelid to hide it. Now 2month post-op and the scar is almost nonexistent! It's not at all noticible to anyone who is unaware that I had surgery! I had to have my eyelids done. They were obstructing my vision and honestly affecting my self esteem. I was so nervous to have this done and of course nervous about my results. I was ready to write this review immediately after meeting Dr. Samimi for a consultation but decided it would have more value to wait a few months. Dr. Samimi is the best, not only as a surgeon but as a caring health professional. He takes the time to listen before recommending procedures, a rarity in the cosmetic industry. He is cautious in doing eyelid surgery. I had an issue with one eyelid a couple of months after surgery and he graciously did a touchup. He would rather have that as an option than taking off too much. It is now over six months since my surgery and I am so pleased. Dr. Samimi is the best. I do not usually write reviews. However this is the best experience that I have ever had with a doctor. I went to see Dr. Samimi for the removal of a chalazion because I first went to the doctor that was approved by my insurance and after 5 different appoints and surgery that doctor left half of the chalazion on my lid and some scaring. I did not trust going back to him because the lesion was on the crease of my lid. I found Samimi on yelp and although he was not covered under my insurance I still went for a consult because I wanted the chalazion removed correctly. To my surprise his prices even out of pocket are very reasonable and I paid cash to have the chalazion removed at the consult. He was great even right after the surgery with my eye swollen the chalazion was gone for good. He took his time to make sure that the chalazion not only completely removed but aesthetically matched the other eye with no scaring. It's been a little over a month and my lid is completely healed with no scaring and I could not be happier. I will never trust any other doctor with my eyes besides Samimi. If your looking for the best Eye lid specialist I would not hesitate to go here. Even if he does not take your insurance please go for a consult and let him give you options because I paid the same for my one time removal as I paid in co-pays to my insures for going to the other doctor 5 times. read more

Had difficulty from previous eye surgery that left some muscle damage and drooping of the eyelids. Dr. Samimi repaired the muscle and provided additional lifting to both eyelids. Not only did the surgery enhance my facial features providing symmetry but the objective of improving my eyesight was beyond my expectations. There was some adjustment during post recovery period such as adjusting to additional light . I had excellent service by both Dr. Samimi and his staff when I had my surgery and very happy with the results! And have referred 2 other friends to Dr. Samimi. Recently had some issues with billing and was very upset - Dr. Samimi called me directly after reviewing the issue with his billing staff. He was able to resolve the issue and was appreciative of hearing my experience to be able to suggest improvements to his staff on how to handle billing/customer situations in the future! I was shocked that he would take the time to be that involved! I had Blepharoplasty with Dr. Samimi. When it comes to my eyes I am not comfortable having anything done! Dr. Samimi answered all my questions. He was professional, knowledgeable, kind and I did not feel rushed. My left eyelid was drooping, but my right eyelid was fine. Dr. Samimi had to match my left eye to my right which sounded impossible! He did it! My eyes look great now and I can fully see again! I had no idea how much of my vision was being blocked. I've had the most pleasant experience working with Dr. Samimi! I came into his office with a retracted eyelid on my right eye, not knowing if I had Thyroid Eye Disease or just bad luck! Dr Samimi walked me through a series of blood work and determined that I did not have Thyroid Eye Disease. I was happy about this new information, but was still dealing with a retracted eyelid. After monitoring the right eye over a few months, we both decided it was appropriate for eyelid surgery to even out my eyelids. Surgery was very easy, and Dr Samimi and his assistant took great care of me while I was in the chair. I had the local anesthesia and was finished with surgery within an hour. Painless and easy. I iced the area for 48 hours and returned to work Monday, without taking any sick/vacation time off. After 3-4 weeks of minor swelling, my eye was looking even and so beautiful! My regular doctor referred Dr. Samimi to me and I am lucky she knew about him. As the other reviewers said, he is very thorough about explaining exactly what he can do for you, and what the surgery will entail. He doesn't give you any false hopes, but deals in facts. The results were really great for me (ptosis correction and under eye dark circles diminishment) since it looks very natural. He is truly a nice guy, too, and spends as much time as necessary answering any questions. Coincidentally, a close friend went to him recently and had the same very positive experience. Where do I begin.. I'm so happy we were referred to Dr. Samimi . He is honestly the best ... my mom is 62 years old with high blood pressure and In 1985 while she was pregnant with my sister had a facial stroke and her right side of her face was paralyzed .. of course she did the therapies that were needed but function of her right side of her face was never the same after that .. then in 1990 two days after I was born ( I was 7 weeks premature ) she had another facial stroke and this one was a big one .. her face was never symmetrical after that .. well 30 years later my mom started having trouble seeing , her vision had become so bad that in order for her to see she had to lift her eyelid in order for her to see clearly .. we were referred to dr. Samimi where he took a look at my mom and worked his magic .. she had a External Levator Ptiosis ... the moment my mom walked out of surgery room and I took a look at her I couldn't hold my tears back .. in my 26 years that I've been walking on this earth I'd never seen my mom with both her eyes opened at the same time .. they were opened enough where I could see the brown in her eyes .. Truely impressed and happy with my experience as one of Dr. Samimi's patients. I was referred to Dr. Samimi by my Optometrist and I dont think I could have found a better doctor. I had an eyelid cyst that needed removal and was admittedly nervous about the procedure. I left Dr. Samimi's office shocked at how quick and painless he made the surgery. I was referred to Dr Samimi for lumps on both my eyelids, known as Chalazions. Durning my first visit Dr Samimi took his time to explain what could be done, answering all my questions thoroughly. The treatment he recommended worked and the lumps disappeared. During that first visit I noticed that he offered cosmetic surgery for both upper and lower eyelids. This was something I had been thinking about doing for a long time. I am so glad that I went to see Dr. Samimi! I had Moh's to have skin cancer removed from the bridge of my nose and my dermatologist suggested I see Dr. Samimi to do the closure. I was hesitant because I was hoping I'd be able to allow the wound to close on its own, but going to Dr. Samimi was absolutely the right decision. The office staff was nice, friendly and efficient. And Dr. Samimi is warm and welcoming. He took time to get to know me in the consultation-which seems to be a rare thing these days!
