Me and my character Oscar from the Walking Dead
vincent m w.

This is actor Vincent M Ward best known as Oscar from the Walking Dead, Hollis from True Blood and do on... I had an awesome experience with not only Dr. Cedeno but the very friendly staff from the front office to the ladies helping pulling this rotten back tooth.. lol.. I had no pain and didn't have to use my pain medication... Im healing great and I recommend his office if you need any work done... Thank u everyone for being professional, making me feel comfortable and doing a great job.. Thanks again and thank you Marcie for starting the procedure on the phone.... Call them today and let them know I sent you... No Im not getting paid to say this but I believe when people do good by you, you should do good by them...

My arm the day after wisdom tooth removal from where the IV was! Very painful for days after the surgery.

I had my wisdom teeth (all four) taken out a couple weeks ago and let me start off by saying that the actual procedure went well and I had minimal pain. Thank goodness. The bed side manner was so bad!!! I was the first appointment of the day, 8:45 so I got there a little early. For one I was nervous because it's not everyday you go under and have oral surgery. And I wanted to be respectful of the doctors time. I didn't go back for the surgery until almost 10AM. Clearly they don't care about your time or the person picking you up. When David came in the room I said good morning to him and asked him how he was doing. His exact response to me... "right now?.....okay" like excuse me? Well wonderful I'm glad you're "okay" and about to conduct surgery! When I started waking up there were multiple people in my room.... ORDERING LUNCH ON THE COMPUTER!! I was so out of it and frankly uncomfortable and really couldn't believe it. So unprofessional! Everyone kept talking to me and I literally couldn't feel my face therefore couldn't talk back. Just real annoying. When I got home my arm where the IV was, was hurting way worse than my mouth. It was extremely swollen and bruised... the girl that put my IV in was clearly not good at her job. Or just didn't care. She was yapping to the other nurse about her friend and drinking. (See picture attached of my arm) All of this to say... if you are someone that cares about bed side manner in the slightest do not see him.

While reclining in the dental chair, my blood pressure was checked for the first time. I was informed by Sammy, the dental technician?, that this is a new procedure as the practice continues to update its protocols. My blood pressure was taken twice using a CVS store-brand cuff placed over a thick sweater. During the first reading, my arm was positioned hanging down at my side with my arm bent on the dental bed. I was not asked to rest it at heart level, nor was I seated with my feet flat on the floor, as is standard practice in most medical settings. The second reading was taken in the same manner, again over my sweater and arm hanging down. I slightly adjusted my arm position myself during the second attempt. Both readings were elevated, and I was told that my dental cleaning could not proceed. And...that's ok. What I found concerning is that upon returning home, I checked my blood pressure using two different machines BEFORE taking my medication. I took my sweater off, sat upright, feet on floor, and arm by chest/heart level. While my readings were elevated, they were SIGNIFICANTLY lower than the measurements taken at the dental office. If blood pressure readings are being used to determine whether routine dental care can proceed, it is important that staff are properly trained in correct blood pressure measurement techniques. To clarify, I do have high blood pressure, and my physician and I manage it carefully. In addition, I had not yet taken my medication prior to the dental appointment. However, my at-home readings were nothing comparable to those taken at the dentist. Had my blood pressure truly been as high as indicated at the dentist, I would have sought immediate emergency care, especially given that I am pregnant and aware of the seriousness such readings would pose. I am grateful that I rechecked my blood pressure at home for peace of mind. I even called my doctor, went in to the doctor's office, showed my doctor the sweater, explained how it was done...and my doctor said it was done incorrectly! *For transparency, a prior positive post about this practice was made after being offered a discount for doing so. At this point, I believe it may be time to seek care elsewhere.

Once my trays came in, they gave me true guidance. They made sure everything fit perfectly, explained how often to switch them out, how long to wear them each day, and how to take care of them. At each follow up so far, Dr. Alex has checked my progress, made any needed adjustments, and made sure everything is tracking the way it should. You can tell he really cares and wants the best results for you. Also... the entire office staff is AMAZING . Everyone is so funny, sweet, and welcoming. They crack me up and I end up staying so long after my appointment just talking to everyone. I literally look forward to going in! I can't wait for the end results!!! Highly recommend Crystal Dental!
