ABSOLUTELY A FRAUD: Let me explain - I received a dentist letter-size adv./offer on my mail box that showed/offered a $547 special cost for a crown. I called the dental office with their advertisement in mind. Yes, I first mentioned that I needed to make an appointment: Supervisor took over the phone - Remember : Dentist want your money, as much as they Can! We set up an appointment for a general consultation: Still, while on the phone with her, I asked her for the cost of a crown for an uninsured person, after a bit of time and effort, finally, she said quote "$900 dollars for uninsured client"... Then she said, quote "the original cost was $1400 dollars!!.....Afterwards I then asked her again, what is best offer cost for an insured person with Delta Dental PPO....the lady over phone said that original cost is $1200 for insured person but they can help and offer a "$850 dollars special for crowns"... I had then, NOT mentioned that I had received this dental office offer on the mail box....this advertisement offer "$547 offer crown for Insured/Uninsured client" was no doubt mailed to every house/apartment near the zip code of the dental office. Before my due date appointment, again I called the dental office. A girl answered the phone, and I immediate mentioned to her that I had received an offer in my mail box and it said $547 for a crown. The lady then said "Yes we have that promotion for anyone who comes"....the supervisor said the same to confirm... applies to insured and uninsured clients. The next day, I arrived to the dental office.... general x-rays. Then Doctor's advice. After some heath searching no doubt, he said, u need all this - number/letter..... Let's be clear....I work for the GOV office.. I have used my dental provider for my teeth many times. The only reason I came here was for the offer. Just that. Instead, the doctor and the Supervisor say to me, here is a plan that can help you fix your teeth. A whooping $4500 charge for my teeth. Then the Supervisor shows me an offer - insure company that can pay for the dental procedure and I can pay the insurer in low payments. Of course, I then mentioned to the Supervisor: here is my advertisement offer I received for an Insured/Uninsured clients of $547 for a crown. The supervisor says to me that the offer only APPLIES for Uninsured Clients: that is a bogus statement Supervisor. The offer says, the front desk staff said, she had a copy herself, that the cost was $547 for any client. Because I continue to explain the offer, what I need/want, not the $4500 plan, she gets mad, the old Dentist with her say to me, leave the office. Yes, there were other patients listening to my statements. They were smiling - robery --- the dental supervisor/dentist got caught RED HANDED and the best option is to tell the client to leave. This place by far is the worst Dentist office and experience I've ever had in my life.... If you are reading this consider this a warning! DO NOT SPEND A DIME HERE!!!!! I'm new to Los Angeles and I was searching for a dentist to have some work done as I cracked one of my wisdom teeth. I thought this was a good option, they offered a free consultation which in hindsight I now know that's the bait to lure you in for them to charge you for everything else that you may not need! After my consultation I was recommended to have a root canal and it would cost $1300. The root canal didn't sit well with me because the crack was down the center of the tooth and I know root canals would drill the center out and would weaken the tooth. However, as we all do I trusted the doctors recommendation and paid in advance for the procedure and they scheduled me for the procedure. While waiting on the procedure date I grew more and more reluctant that this procedure was the right procedure to get. So I called the office to tell them that I'd like to have the tooth extracted and this where it all started to go downhill!‍ The receptionist began to get extremely defensive, aggressive and continued to explain to me that I would have to see a specialist and it would take weeks, I would have to pay to change the procedure, etc.... I then told her well I'd just like to go to a different dentist office and she said there are no refunds here.... I said, but you all haven't done anything for me but X-ray me and recommend. I'd happily pay for that even though it was free but you can't just keep my entire $1300 for not doing any work. I asked to speak to the office manager, she would never speak to me and only passed messages through the receptionist. I could never speak directly to the doctor. They kept all contact to the receptionist, who conducts herself like an aggressive bill collector! I ended up going to a different Dentist. While there I shared my story and the dentist after seeing my X-rays and examining the tooth told me there's no way I should have been recommended to have a root canal and that it would have spiraled into me needing additional work! Needless to say This dentist will never see me again and I'm sharing to give others a heads up about this unprofessional office....... They are scammers...... read more

Procedure: Tooth Implant I just got home after having my fourth (4th) implant done today by Dr. David. I'm writing this even as the anesthetic is active and slowly wearing off. Once again, I'm impressed with Dr. David's and his staff's skill and work. Apart from the slight prick of the initial local anesthetic injection needle, there was absolutely no pain during the procedure. Even now I'm experiencing no pain, albeit I did take a leftover vicodin pill and 2 advil with a meal shortly before the procedure as a precautionary countermeasure since I'm very sensitive to dental pain. Bottom line, a very painless low trauma experience! Expended Time: Less than 2 hours I was in and out of the dental office within 2 hours, the procedure itself was about 30 minutes, but it would have been much shorter if it wasn't for one of those random inspections from the city. You'd think they'd wait patiently while the doctor is in the middle of an implant procedure... but I wasn't in pain or anything while I was waiting, so no complaints. All in all, even with the unavoidable random city inspection considered, 2 thumbs up! Update on the previous 3 implants: No problems All 3 previous implants by Dr. David seem to be great. No problems or discomfort to report. They look great and feel solid. I haven't experienced any cons, but on the pros, with the implants, the dentin is gone, so typical (hot cold) sensitivity is no longer an issue =) Conclusion: 5 stars I am very satisfied with all 4 teeth implant work that Dr. David and his staff have performed on me. Afternote: Dr. David sometimes sings during procedures. It caused me to unexpectedly chuckle and helped me to relax during an otherwise tense situation =) read more

After a long journey, I finally received my implants, and I'm so grateful I chose this place. I've been going to this dental clinic for almost 2 years. It all started with a flyer we received and when I called to ask for a price of an implant, they're the only ones who were transparent with the price. They worked with me on getting a total "overhaul" due to years of me avoiding the dentist. When there was an issue with my implant due to my thin gums, Dr. Kim (not being biased but he's the GOAT of this place) did my bone graft and made sure the impant will be placed correctly. I've been checked by a few dentists/specialists here who were all good ranging from check-ups to fillings, wisdom tooth extraction, root canals etc by Dr. Castillo & Dr. Tayyem (best "bedside" manners, they both need to be in a Calm app), Dr. Ganji, Dr. Craig, Dr. Falaki and Dr Peri. The dental techs (s/o Grace) and hygienists are also great, but Martha was awesome and helped me reevaluate my brushing and flossing habits. The admin staff were very warm like Vanessa and helpful (esp w /payments). Annabel is the OG here (a sweetheart) and is very accommodating with schedules and her assistance feels like white glove dental service. I will be moving from the area soon but I found everyone to be professional here and did not lack accountability when there were minor setbacks (like my gum issue). Highly recommended. read more

Sure Martha is more than coooool....it wasn't til (May 2026) that I realized there is an optimum Dental Clinic that's better than Washington Dental, Western Dental, West Coast Dental I believe, and there are other's....but the cream of and you know the rest.....NON OTHER THAN ALTAMED DENTAL ON 1ST STREET in Los Angles (2219 1st ST)...at Washington Dental credit options that surpass L.A. CARE,MEDICAL etc.so your forced to take out a loan and then your still not happy with your smile, there is a tall gentleman there who is just about in the chair with you just to make the impressions (PAAAAINNN), while at ALTAMED the assistant short lady, real young places the impression compound (for the mold) in your mouth asks you to bite down and hold it for 5 to 10 minutes to get the mold, but at Washington Dental the gentleman is holding that material pressing down all the while (PAAAAAAIIINN) to get the same results.....and the results,...MAGNIFIC...FANTASTICO....I don't know the name of the lab they sent that mode to, but its the Topps....so yeah go to ATAMED NO LOANS...MEDI CAL and LA CARE...MAGNIFIC / FANTASTICO APPLYS TO ALTAMED,...NOT WASHINGTON DENTAL, SO GIVE ALTAMED A CALL ASKS FOR DR. This morning I visited this location after flossing my filling right out! The front desk has superb customer service. They greet and treat you with kindness. Lily the dental assistant took my X-rays with no problem! Usually I have issues with pain and not being comfortable thru the process but she took her time and talked me thru every step of the way. She was really patient and gentle. She let me know what I was experiencing was more than normal and my teeth aren't that bad, she's dealt with worse, so that made me even more comfortable because if you've dealt with worse you can deal with anything. Doctor Kim, he was super friendly and kind, also very willing to explain everything to me about my teeth and what the dental terms meant, which no other dentist I've been to has done. The energy from the moment I walked in, til the moment I walked out was awesome! Michelle the office manager and also Chrystal were very straight forward about my insurance and the coverage that they offer, transparency is one thing that makes me trust people and they're 100% reliable when it comes to the information they provide! 10/10 highly recommend! read more

I just want to start off by saying Michelle is so polite and understanding . It is to my knowledge she is the manager. Today 8/12 9:00am the receptionist who makes calls and always schedules appointment the lady with blonde hair is so rude. The conversation that took place at 9:02 am I am honestly discussed. Her tone of voice and strict demands was so unpleasant. She was stating how I will be charged $50 for my appointment because I can't cancel the same day. I told her I am a single mother and my child has a bad cough I will have to reschedule. She said there are NO exceptions we will have to charge you. I immediately became upset because why don't you guys tell patients when scheduling for cleanings if they missed appoints they would be charged. I live .4 miles away I drove up there so fast to speak to manger. I brought my sick child with me to talk to manger personally. No patient deserves to be treated like an object with no feelings.
