I been a patient for over 7 years in this location before known as Yes Dental. Staff are all new. I have a mix feelings about my experiences lately. The people on the back very nice and they really want to make your experience pleasant but the people managing this place is another story. They had me waiting on my retainers for a month and a half. I kept calling for an update about them and no answer. They would tell me they are not here yet, we will call you back. They would never call me back. I am planning to come back for this dentist but in my gut, it told me to check yelp and google feedback first. At first, two years ago, I had problem with this dentist because they were unprofessional and rushed to fix my teeth to got filling replaced too fast. As a result, my teeth filling got too pain for 3 days because they were unprofessional and unhappy worker. They fixed my teeth filling again. It was solved problem. Today, I am planning to call them for reschedule due to my wisdom teeth. Thank god, I just checking this Yelp feedback. Shit. Really should be called Hell to the NO dental. Let me explain: I went to this place because my dentist that I usually go to had a really long wait for a teeth cleaning. I was first greeted by a middle to older age short Latina and her personality really threw me off . Comparing it to my dentist, She is rude, pushy, unkind and overall not a happy camper. She made me get full X-rays on my teeth before getting a cleaning. I told her I didn't need X-rays. I'm order to clean my teeth they had to. Complete scam. Without insurance teeth cleaning paid in cash would have been $150, Seemed about normal until I got them cleaned! The guy was quite delicate and not thorough. Even after the cleaning, he flossed teeth and he missed some teeth. I had a feeling once I got my teeth cleaned that this place was on the lower end scale so I asked if they took Medi-cal which they do. That sort of place should not be charging $150 cash paying patients especially for their performance. My man who referred me here didn't listen to me. They made his put a big down payment in order for him to even make an appt. I told him I was disappointed and would never go back. He didn't listen to me. Until he went for the third time and when it was time to clean half his teeth (which his second appt they did fillings and cleaned half his grill, lmao what?!!!! 1/2??) the 3rd visit the hygienist girl numbed his mouth and numbed his tongue instead of his gums. Lmao. So yes to my point this place is now called Hell to the No dental in our books. X-ray tech did not cover me with a radiation gown all while he was hiding behind the wall while taking images) SMH. Stay clear and be careful. I had a bad pain in my tooth one night. They saw me the same morning and quickly took care of the problem. They walked me through pricing options very well and made the treatment feel extremely comfortable even though I was in a lot of pain. Everyone from the doctors, admins, and hygienist are very nice and made me feel super comfortable even though the dentist is typically an uncomfortable experience. When you book an appointment, if you get there right at your appointment time you'll be waiting for about an hour to actually see a dentist or orthodontist. A dentist recommended Invisalign for my teeth grinding (wtf), but I had wanted to get Invisalign anyway (regardless of the teeth grinding problem) so I went ahead and did it. Worst Invisalign provider ever. The orthodontists are rarely available. Every time I had to go in for a check up and for new trays did NOT actually align with the timeline when I actually needed the new tray (I.e. each tray is 2 weeks and they'll only give me 2-3 trays at a time... orthodontist isn't available for another month or even more than a month and then I'm stuck on a tray for a while thus making the whole Invisalign process longer than it should be). Secondly, I cycled through THREE orthodontists during my Invisalign treatment. The turnover rate seems pretty high and I didn't like that I didn't have one consistent orthodontist. Horrible service and they don't respect your time. I was SO sick of them (the long waiting times, next orthodontist appointment not available until 2 months out) that I decided to stop Invisalign treatment with them. read more

I was referred to Yes Dental for wisdom teeth removal, and thought my insurance would cover all cost except co-pay and was assured that it would be ok. On day of surgery I was hit with a bill that I wasn't expecting for a ridiculous amount which they then had me fill out paperwork to open a credit account for so I can proceed with wisdom teeth removal. While this wasn't a major issue it would have been better to know before I had already prepped for surgery on day of. Second they didn't prescribe medicine as needed. Had some pains after surgery that didn't allow me to sleep, they were able to see me quickly the next day and told me nothing was wrong and treated me like if I was just asking for painkillers. Stated to just endure it as the pain normal. I didn't feel like that was correct. I went to the dentist who referred me to get a second opinion, was told that they forgot to prescribe me ibuprofen, in which later I took and relieved all that pain they told me was "normal". The dentist who referred me even apologized as they should have really looked into the medication they were giving me, which could be dangerous if they are not. Do some research should you come to this establishment and always get a second opinion if you don't feel comfortable. read more

I am way overdue in writing this review! Finally got insurance through my job and by the time I made it into Yes Dental I was in a lot of pain and knew I would need a good amount of work done. Avoided the Dentist for years due to lack of funds and just plain scared of them. Booked an appointment through their website and was super simple. Even got a follow up call from one of the ladies in the office, who was super sweet and answered any questions I had prior to coming in, did not catch her name. When I arrived for my appointment I was impressed with how comfortable their waiting area was, they have a TV set up in the lobby to keep you entertained while you wait. Aracely was an absolute rockstar in getting me signed in and getting me familiarized with my insurance and what I would be covered for. I hate that I did not immediately write this review as I've forgotten the name of the dentist who worked on me. I got a tooth pulled and a root canal done on another occasion with him. Both times he was amazing! Very little to zero discomfort. I swear I almost fell asleep during the root canal lol Still have work to get done and look forward to returning to Yes Dental from here on out! Thanks guys! read more

I wish I had checked reviews prior to coming in. The facility, x-rays, exam, and cleaning were standard. Every provider/staff was kind. My 1 star rating is for business practices. I scheduled an appointment online for a cleaning as a new patient. I noted that I currently have braces installed. I didn't receive new patient paperwork until after 4pm the day before my 10am appointment. I completed the paperwork the same day. I came in on time for my appointment and waited 45 minutes for them to check benefits. It would be a more efficient practice to do this in advance of the appointment start time. They called me to the back for x-rays without confirming benefits so I asked the tech if they verified benefits. I specifically said that I did not want to incur any charges so my preference was to wait until it was done. The tech said she would go double check. She left, came back, and said that they verified that everything they plan to do would be covered. After x-rays, I waited another 30+ minutes in the chair waiting for the dentist. While waiting, I asked if I was going to be able to get the cleaning that I scheduled. The response was "we'll see after your exam". My exam was completed after being in the office for 1 hr and 55 minutes. I was then asked to return to the waiting room while they find out if the hygienist will do the cleaning with my braces. They prefer to have wires removed by my ortho for the cleaning which would be a great inconvenience to me as my orthodontist's office is a significant distance away. If this is their policy, I accept that. The office should've contacted me prior to coming in to state this policy. I noted in my appointment request that I have braces. I would have chosen to take my business elsewhere without wasting hours in their office. I waited another 15 minutes before they told me they would do the cleaning. After cleaning, I was asked to wait again to be checked out and receive a treatment plan. I was finally finished after a total of 2 hours and 50 minutes in the office. I've done X-rays, exams, and cleanings in a hour time frame or less. This is what can be possible with good business practices. Finally, I wasn't surprised when I received a bill in the mail for an X-ray service that my dental insurance did not cover. Bad business all around. I would not recommend. read more

So either I really love Dr. Arash Hakhamian or I'm just a glutton for pain. I've followed Dr. Arash to 3 dental offices now. So he must be doing something right. Yes Dental is located over by USC. It's not the greatest area. But don't judge a book by its cover. They have the best state of the art equipment and technology. The instruments are always properly packaged and sterile and most of all, I love the openness of the workplace. Dr. Arash's approach is about educating his clients so we can make sound decisions. Throughout the years, not only has he been a professional provider I entrust with my health, but he's also become a great friend. He's the most respectful kindhearted dentist I have ever met. The treatment he provides is gentle, personal and caters to your individual needs. I am so impressed by the quality of care he provides to each and every patient. Dr. Arash is an artist at what he does and as he puts it, he's very "anal" about everything. I've been going to yes dental for the past three years. I recently finished my orthodontics treatment and I am happy with how my teeth look. My sister and I both got our wisdom teeth removed and Aracely made sure we were well taken care of. My sister needed to be put to sleep for her procedure and everything went smoothly pre and post op. My mother also needed an extensive surgery done and the doctor made sure she recovered well. Aracely is thorough with explaining the treatments needed and is always available to answer my questions. So grateful this place exists. Had a seriously rotted tooth I needed an emergency extraction of and was able to call for an apt., get in, get x-rayed, have the procedure done, all in the same day and for about 50% of the cost of other places I called. Aracely was very accommodating and thorough in the explanation of my options as well - what a rock star ! My doctor also got me seated for the extraction very quickly and taken care of 90% pain free with the procedure being completed in under half an hour. There is so much wrong here. I didn't want to write a review but I need to warn people of this place. I found this dentist through ZocDoc online appointment system for Arash Hakhamian DDS who had amazing reviews. When I got there that wasn't the dentist who saw me, In fact I didn't even get his name. I went to get a molar taken out because it was an old root canal that had cracked and gotten infected. The dentist was very rough while checking my mouth, pressing hard on the tooth for no reason after it had already been established that there was an infection. The procedure itself was also extremely painful, the anesthesia they use is so weak it took several shots for it to be even bearable and they are so rushed that they won't wait the few minutes for it to start to work. I never have had so much pain in a dentists chair that made me scream and cry until that visit. I left there shaking and sobbing in pain. The assistant who was very sweet offered to have the dentist give me more anesthesia before I left, but I didn't trust him enough to go through that again. The entire drive home I could barely see through tears because it was such horrible pain. The dentist also refused to prescribe me any pain relief or even antibiotics because he "saw the infection come out". They pushed a charge for a bone replacement after extraction (a $450 charge not covered by insurance) saying it was necessary to prevent bone loss and to get an implant later on. After the tooth was removed, I heard dentist ask "umm... are we filling it with anything?" Shouldn't he know what he's doing before he starts? They didn't fill it. After I got home I looked up what the replacement graft was and it was supposed to have been done at the time of extraction. Because of his inability to pay attention and know what he is doing, now I have to deal with the bone loss and won't be able to get an implant without even more procedures. They also charged me for several fillings, some which didn't make sense. A filling on an existing implant and a filling on a different tooth that was going to be extracted. Huh?! At my next appointment I brought this up, not to cause a stir, I just wanted a refund on these charges. They started making excuses for the dentists' negligence in not placing the bone graft replacement, saying it was because there was infection present in the gum that still needed to be cleared out. If that was the case, the dentist would have prescribed me antibiotics in the first place, he is the one who said no infection remained. They also told me that it was possible to have a cavity on an implant, and apparent my teeth have now changed numbers and that's why it doesn't make sense. Okay. I chose to opt out of all the remaining services in my treatment plan. They did give me a full refund, and I will say that the front desk and most of the supporting staff was very kind and fair. The woman who took the X-rays is so sweet and the woman who does the cleanings is careful and attentive. If you're going to choose this dental office, make sure you get a copy of your treatment plan and charges to make sure they're not taking your money for things they won't be doing. read more

I had been putting off finding a dentist for almost a year since moving to Los Angeles until Yes Dental's promotional flier appeared in my mailbox. Making an appointment was very easy and the reception was very friendly upon my arrival. I only had to wait about 30 minutes for my appointment while I filled out paperwork and had my insurance checked out. I really enjoyed my dentist and his friendly attitude but it was Nancy and Aracely that made me decide to make this my go to spot for all my dental needs. Nancy is an awesome dental hygienist! She is so friendly and sweet and does a great job of explaining every step of the process. I was really nervous about costs and payment plans but Aracely was very helpful and took the time to answer all my questions (and I asked a LOT of questions). I have a super limited budget right now so they gave me a number of options and explained to me the pricing plans for the basic to full options. I really appreciate when a medical facility is patient enough to do a breakdown of costs and options. I ended up introducing my boyfriend to this dentist office and even though he needs a LOT more work done than me the process never felt intimidating. We have completely different kinds of dental coverage under our insurances and Yes Dental Center was just as helpful and polite with him as they were with me. After three appointments in one month for a complete deep cleaning I am very pleased with my consistently wonderful care at Yes Dental. read more
