I received treatment two months ago. Paid out of pocket. Waiting for a response from the billing office on final costs/reimbursement through my insurance, and I CANNOT get anyone to call me back. I have called many many times with a promise that someone will call me back same day but no one ever does. I have absolutely no idea what is going on. Please- can someone from the billing office call me back?? Update: getting close to a 80% refund due to overcharging. I recommend u personally check with your insurance company on costs BEFORE getting work done. I'm so happy MetLife was easy to work with. They took over communicating with the billing office since no one would call me back. Always ask for a print out of services with costs and then call your insurance company to confirm. This is the best dentist I have ever been to hands down! I hate to admit but the only work I've gotten done in 10 years is 2 years ago when I moved to California and today. I absolutely hate the dentist because every other time I've gone I've either gotten burnt, the previous dentist Didn't numb me completely and so when he was ready to pull my two wisdom teeth out I could not only hear the tearing but I FELT the pain!!!! After that I swore no more dentists. My friend told me about Dr Guyot, and told me He's really gentile and he would explain everything. Long story short lol I decided to try him because I needed some minor work done and knew if I did not get it done it would have gotten worse. Now I'm literally excited to come back for my cleaning! Check the billing and verify with your insurance before you get anything done. They tried charging me high copays. Once I checked with my insurance the numbers were wrong. When I called about it, they gave me the "run around" Glad I didn't get the work done by them. Dishonest dentistry at its finest. Sedation charge they quoted was 152 and my insurance states only 80. They put this code 4 times. Consultation copay they charged me was $50 my insurance states $10 550 for an upgrade to zirconia when my insurance states 325 Check your billing!!! This place is a joke. The customer service is terrible. Timeliness terrible. Scheduling is terrible. Avoid going to this place you can find better dentistry. And Jonathan S is correct they over charge unfortunately my family went through with their service and we realized the excessive charge after. Work done was awful too. My new favorite dentist office! Not only did they give me a free, efficient check up...on a Sunday, but when they found out I needed a root canal, they swiftly handled the procedure at an affordable price. The entire time, I felt at ease and relaxed as they worked. I sat comfortably watching "In Time" with Justin Timberlake, with the smell of fresh baked cookies in the air, feeling nothing but appreciation for their hospitality. I typically do not like going to the dentist but Dr Guyot is an exception to my rule. When you go to his office you feel comfortable, at ease, and confident that you are in good hands. The stellar service starts when you walk in the door. The front office girl, Kristie always greets you with a smile and knows you by name. As a bonus, while you are waiting there is an excellent selection of hot and cold beverages and an assortment of magazines to keep you comfortable. The hygienist Judy is so friendly and makes you feel comfortable without being intrusive. She is gentle while being thorough and communicates effictively and in a caring manner so you always know what is going on with your mouth. As an additional bonus she is an expert in periodontal care so if you need deep cleanings or even laser treatment she can do it for you there. You don't have to be referred and learn to trust someone else. Lori, the dental assistant is by far the best dental assistant that I have ever experienced. She is nice, offering you a blanket to keep you warm and an ipod radio to listen to for comfort. She even takes care to put safety goggles on you if you are having a procedure done. She never uses you as a table to rest her instruments on and she anticipates when you need suction or a rinse of water without you having to say anything. Dr Guyot himself is so personable and caring. He discusses your needs with you and never tries to pressure you into doing cosmetic work that you don't need done and doesn't make you feel guilty if you can't afford it. He is light with his hands and does excellent work in a timely manner. It is impressive that he is an artist who does his own gold work in his office. If it is necessary to have a shot Dr Guyot is an expert at it. Even when I had to have one all the way at the back of my mouth he did it without me even feeling it which is something no one else has ever done. I highly recommend coming here to anyone. I went to Dr. Guyot's San Clemente office for the first time last week. I was a bit nervous as I haven't had my teeth cleaned in nearly two years, but I had nothing to worry about- Dr. Guyot, Kristie and Judy made me feel so comfortable! The casual atmosphere and beachy decor take away that creepy sterile vibe that plagues most dental offices. My teeth were squeaky clean afterwards with no pain in the cleaning process! Dr. Guyot also caught my leaky fillings and even showed me what they looked like on screen. Most enjoyable (and also affordable) time at the dentist I've ever had! The office pet/court jester/art therapy dog, Rocky, was also much appreciated company :) If you're looking for a dentist office that feels way more personal, I encourage you pay him a visit! Also, for anyone interested in holistic health, Dr. Guyot is open minded and informed on the matter. When I told him that I had been oil pulling, not only did he know what it was, but he had done some reading himself on the subject. I would never expect most conventional doctors or dentists to have any idea what oil pulling is! It's always encouraging to find professionals who read independently to bolster their knowledge, especially on something that would be off the beaten path of conventional dentistry. A sign that he truly cares about his patients and his practice! As an added bonus, Mrs. Guyot is a certified holistic health coach with endless amounts of knowledge, and her desk is set up in Dr. Guyot's office! Definitely worth the drive to San Clemente. His office staff was extremely professional, they started my appointment right on time, and it ended exactly when they said it would. I have lived in many cities due to job relocations. Unfortunately, the daunting task of finding new dentists has been challenging in each city. I have to say all other dentists at each new location all have commented on what a great job Guyot had done on my filling. "A work of art", they'd say. Got to say that's pretty impressive for other dentists to admire another one's work that is sitting inside my mouth while I'm sitting in their chair! Guyot has been the best dentist I have gone to in a decade and kept going back to see him whenever I landed back in Orange county. Friendly & experienced staff and office has high tech equipment. TOP NOTCH. I could not ask for a better dentist. Dr. Guyot took over my previous dentist's practice when he retired. I instantly liked Dr. Guyot and immediately felt comfortable with him and his staff who obviously enjoy working there. It is a very professional environment, dedicated to the patients care and well-being. Dr. Guyot explains what work is needed and offers optional treatment plans available, along with their pros and cons. He makes sure you are comfortable and pain-free during procedures, and may even toss in a cute story to calm your nerves. Kristie keeps the office running smoothly, explaining the paperwork, fees (comparable to other good dentists), scheduling followup visits to fit your calendar, and she gives appointment reminders by mail and phone.
