LOVE Dr. Kim he is the master of breast surgery. I have had a donut lift and breast augmentation with him 10 years ago and an implant replacement last week to go bigger and get new gummy implants(Mentor Boost 775cc). I honestly and whole heartedly recommend Dr David Kim he did an excellent job at creating cleavage and a natural look. I feel like I have the perfect breasts no one can tell and if I want a more dramatic look I can wear a special bra they work just like natural breasts for me. Writing this review 2 days post op and I'll update when my breast drop. Alexa in the front is so cute and sweet!! She told me about her own implants and advised me from her own personal experience! Alexa is someone I'd totally hang out with she's the sweetest :) the nurse Minh (sorry if I'm misspelling) was also so nice and helpful with my concerns during my actual surgery day. I think I opened up with Minh more after anesthesia because I was so nervous before the surgery haha but we were chatting it up post op. So even though Dr. David himself isn't a chatter box (probably because he's so busy btw), he hired the most welcoming and awesome staff! I think Dr. David's bedside manner is professional and direct. Id rather have someone who is this way and does artistry on my body than someone who knows how to charm and does subpar work. Because it's not like I'm here to make a friend, I'm here for a bomb body lol. Post op the pain was def less than expected. I only cried once and that's because something scared me and I instinctively contracted my chest, which felt like knives stabbing me. But as long as I followed the pain med instructions and took one every 4 hours the pain was def tolerable. Also, my lower back was worse at times because I slept at 90 degrees which I don't even think is necessary? I googled and it said 45 degrees is fine. So sleeping completely upright was highly uncomfortable for my lower back. I was worried about the pain but I don't think it's nearly as bad as other cosmetic procedures like a bbl. Dr. Kim gave me a lot of cc's which I'm excited about. I was a "large b" and he did 550 and 600 high profile silicone (one was smaller than other to begin with). I truly have no idea what they're going to look like, as they change so drastically with the drop and fluff process. Not going to lie, they are extremely extremely high up 2 days after and I want a more natural look so that was a bit off putting. However sweet ol' Alexa assured me to trust the process and to wait for them to drop! So now I'm just going to be patient. As for pricing it was far above average however I knew this going in. I am a total cheapo with everything but my body. I love SHEIN clothes but I would never cut corners with my body. I hope I got what I paid for and I'll post updates but so far it's looking like I will. Hopefully there's no complications but so far so good! Oh and if you're taking birth control I advise you to stop taking it two weeks prior to surgery! I didn't and that's why I was so stressed going in. My close friend had a literal blood clot with Dr. Eugene Kim and although she loves her breast to this day and would go back for other work, this was a life threatening experience. She was in critical care at the hospital because a piece went into her lungs. She told me the night before my surgery I should've stopped taking birth control two weeks prior and this caused me to go into panic. I would've felt more at ease had I been told to stop taking it two weeks prior. It does say so in one of the 20+ sheets of paperwork however a verbal warning would have been nice. The risk is extremely minimal but I still would have liked to stop taking it earlier just for peace of mind. read more

I'm really disappointed to write this as I really did love my boobs for the first year but it's been a bad experience since. In August I had scar tissue removal on my breast because it became slightly higher than the other. Well, now one nipple is pointed down and one is centered. Also the boob we removed scar tissue from now goes to the left and theres a very obvious difference in the two. I look terrible naked and in bikinis. I complained a few months ago about having severe pain when I move which was completely ignored. I am now having second opinions because it's very apparent something is wrong. This review is raw and uncensored just so you know what to expect when it comes to consultation, booking your appointment, pre-op, post-op, all that! So I want to start off by saying his team of ladies in the front office are wonderful. They were friendly and approachable, and really helpful and knowledgeable about questions that I had. CONSULTATION: I came in on one of the days they provided a free consultation. I signed in, and waited about 5 min until I was called in and brought to an exam room. I waited again for not too long until Dr. Kim entered the room. I'm going to admit, at first he was very straightforward, explained things very fast, and I felt like I was rushed as some girls mention on their reviews. But you also gotta understand, he has so many women coming in for a FREE consultation and some don't end up going for surgery in the end. So, how did I know he was the surgeon for me even if I felt like he didn't answer ALL my concerns at one appointment? Well, during my consultation, he immediately asked me what my concerns were with my body. I explained my problem areas and he wrote them down on his clip board. He then examined my body and explained what he recommends would be best for my body type. He explained the different techniques and showed me photos of his work. After looking through photos of his work.. I instantly knew I wanted him to be my surgeon. Even though he might seem "cold" to some, I think the most important thing is that HIS WORK SHOWS THAT HE KNOWS WHAT HE'S DOING. He's not going to kiss your ass or insist you need something done... He will give you his recommendations based on what you would like to enhance or improve about your body.. and to me, that made me feel comfortable about my decision. Don't look for a surgeon to be your friend, find someone like Dr. Kim that will be straightforward with you and let his work prove that you've made the right choice! FINANCING: Financing is available via care credit and other credit/loan companies. I paid the full amount in cash so I can't say more about financing. But after consultation, you will speak to someone about the pricing per procedure and you don't decide right away, they give you a folder with more info PRE-OP: I went in one week prior to surgery for my pre-op, which consists of a more in depth face to face appointment with Dr. Kim to discuss surgery day and that will be your chance to ask him more questions you might have. Also, labs are taken and SO MANY papers to sign. Expect 30-45 min for your pre-op appointment. Got the good news couple days after that I was cleared for surgery!! P.S. The days between pre-op and surgery day were probably the most anxious I've ever been lol.. i was excited, nervous, and impatient. SURGERY DAY: The day I anticipated for has finally arrived. My appointment time was 630am so that they could prep me and all that before surgery. Once I arrived, I signed in and the nurse kindly greeted me. She brought me to the bathroom and instructed me to urinate in a cup to check for pregnancy and then place my clothes in a bag where it will be placed in a locker, then change to a gown, hair cap, and compression socks. After, she asked me some questions regarding my current health status and to make sure I followed the pre-op instructions. Then, I signed more papers and introduced me to the anesthesiologist (which btw, gave me a call the night before surgery to answer any questions I had about surgery and anesthesia - he reassured me and made me feel comfortable) After, they put in my IV in and Dr. Kim enters and he then proceeded to take my before photos and asked me for my dream sample breast aug photos that I had from his portfolio on his website. I explained to him that I want a cleavage without a bra, and to be a full DD+ yet natural -- forgot to mention above, he goes by sample photos and he decided how many cc's to size you up in. Dr. Kim inspects your breasts when he places the sizers during surgery and that's when he determines which cc is right for you and I like it that way because sometimes, one breast is bigger/smaller than the other and requires a different amount of volume. And doing this, he can be sure that your breasts are symmetrical... So be sure to clearly let him know and SHOW HIM PICTURES of what you want your breast to look like and let him work his magic. So anyways, after photos were taken and my questions were answered.. I was finally brought to the OR. It was very cold in there as it should be and I was shaking from excitement. The anesthesiologist would tell me what he's about to do before he does it... he stated that he was going to give me something to relax. Couple minutes later, he administered the anesthesia and all I remember was me fading away to sleepy land and knocked the f out lol. My surgery took about 3.5-4 hours. I had an augmentation and lift done by Dr. David Kim in Oct 2019. The outcome looked good and the surgical nurses were so wonderful.   Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Dr. Kim as his office do not (or at least did not) hold their per diem staff to the same high standards as their full time staff.  A mistake regarding inaccurate information to a medical record should never happen.   Recently, I had a revision done with a different doctor where I learned that the sizes of my 1st implants do NOT match the sizes on the card Dr. Kim's office gave me. (See pictures. A significant discrepancy.)  I assumed that the sizes on the card were accurate which helped to determine my revision size. As such, my revision is double what I expected. This has caused a great deal of distress and hindsight bias. I have reached out to his office and they apologized (which I appreciate) and explained that when they're short staffed they hire per diem staff to run the office which is where the 'mix-up' occured.  If you do choose to go with Dr. Kim please triple confirm that the size of the implants in your body accurately match the size listed on your card. I truly hope his office ensures that their per diem staff are better trained to avoid this happening to anyone else. read more

With the exception on the first day where I felt nauseous from the anesthesia, I personally felt no pain after surgery. Dr. Kim is also very accessible via email, should you have any questions afterwards. I ended up getting smooth round gummy silicone, in 350cc and 375cc, which places me at a full c/small d. Do not approach him with a specific cc in mind! Everyone is different so whatever cc's worked for me or others, probably won't work for you! One of the best decisions I have ever made ! My whole experience was wonderful and I love my results . Those other surgery places in Miami and all over IG are very tempting ( like CG cosmetics or MIA esthetics ) , they're prices are probably less than half the cost of Dr. Kim and they are flooding your timeline daily with decent looking results . I decided I was NOT going to cut corners and I wanted the best of the best because this was my body and my life at risk . I close friend of mine had gone to doctor Kim a few years ago and his work speaks for its self it the reason why I choose him . My initial consult was in 2017 and I didn't actually pull the trigger until 2021 . We communicated through email and he was very responsive . I wanted a doctor I would be able to follow up with if I had any questions and be able to come back to for check ups . I didn't want a " chop shop " experience . (Once they do your surgery you will never see or even talk to your doctor again.) Dr. Kim recommended I do a crescent lift or even a donut lift because I had some slight "drooping ". I already knew exactly what I wanted and took his medical opinion into consideration but I weighed the pros and cons and decided I didn't want to have any incisions on my breast at all personally . I wanted to get TUBA saline implants ( implants placed through the belly button ) . I showed him a photo and he gave me the results I wanted . I had some asymmetry in my breasts and he uses sizers and I ended up with 515cc and 545cc mentor moderate plus saline . When I woke up from surgery I was not even in pain , the first day I took extra strength Tylenol for 24hours and after that I didn't need anything to manage pain . I wouldn't even say I actually experienced pain I just took the medicine as a precaution because I was afraid I would be in pain . I thought I would need assistance getting in and out of bed and using the bathroom and I didn't . I followed doctor lol post op orders exactly . Which I think was very important . I slept with plenty of pillows behind me and on my back , ate soups and stayed hydrated and just rested . The worst part of the experience for me was the car ride to and from my follow up appointment the day after surgery. That was hell . I felt every single bump and turn in the road and it was very uncomfortable. It may have been partially bc the first bra I had did not have enough support and was not tight enough . ( get your sports bra from BIG 5 , they're under 25$ bucks and they are the one he recommended) . I'm so happy with the results and I'm now about 10 days post op . I wish I would have done the surgery sooner and anyone who is thinking about having a BA I would say it's life changing . I never hated my body before but I just feel happier , more confident and just overall it's changed my life for the better . Thank you so much Dr. David Kim !!! My nurse the day of surgery was Wendy it was her first day and I couldn't even tell at all she was amazing and so sweet and made my experience enjoyable and took really good care of me . I had my initial consult with Dr. Kim back in 2017 or 2018. After doing research on cosmetic surgeons in the LA/OC area, I knew that I wanted to go to Dr. Kim. I went ahead and booked my surgery in March 2020 but because of Covid/Quarantine/Riots, did not have my surgery until July 2020. Dr. Kim may come off as a little cold, busy (because he is/in demand), etc but he always answered any and all questions I had. Dr David Kim is the best boob surgeon in the country. I am 1 month post-op and love my Breast Revision results. I am from San Diego and he's definitely worth the commute. Prior to deciding I wanted to go to him I watched all of his YouTube videos, looked through all the pictures on his website & Instagram page and noticed that his work is very consistent - all his patients have great cleavage and very natural results. I had breast implants from a previous surgeon in San Diego and I came to Dr. Kim so he can fix the previous surgeon's work. I had a wide gap in between my breasts and capsular contracture. Dr David Kim is straight to the point. He can seem a bit unfriendly but what really speaks volume is the quality of his work. If he notices they are starting to get firm, he will try to loosen the scar tissue that has formed around the implant and prescribe medication to help the implants stay soft.
