Dan came within a very few days after I contacted them and gave me an estimate back in August. He told me that they would be in touch as soon as we received enough rain to make the clearing process safe from fire danger. Right after we got rain in October, the lead contact Mauro called me to get an appointment set. He was really great about staying in touch with me before and after they arrived, and updating me of their progress during the job. He's a real pro with the masticator machine! His partner, Shawn, worked with a chainsaw to limb up most of the trees we kept and he cut all the downed trees that were too big to munch, into nice log sized pieces and stacked them neatly near the base of the trees. Mauro did a final "walkthrough" with me at the end wanting to make sure I was truly satisfied with their work. Needless to say I was! They accomplished in ONE day, what would have taken me months, if not years, to do. The shredded material is nicely mixed with the top layer of soil and should compost quickly and return all those great nutrients back into the earth. It cost me less than it would have to hire goats or sheep for clearing, and I expect it will stay clear MUCH longer. It's great to finally be able to reach all 4 corners of our property! Much of our stream and pond had overgrown and become clogged with reeds and grasses preventing the water from properly draining off the overly saturated field that was still soggy after all of the recent rains and heavy snow this year. Joe and Wesley did a phenomenal job to work with us on our "vision" for the land and help us repair and create the space that we had envisioned. Super professional, courteous, prompt with their arrivals and removed all of the equipment without damaging any other infrastructure on site. The entire job also started and completed on time and on budget as estimated. PG&E would come out and cut down dead trees, but just leave all the branches and logs... I tried for months to get them to remove them and constantly worried about fire hazards... I was so concerned about the cost to remove them along with being able to access them. I met with Drew and not only did he give me a good price, but he also repaired all the damaged asphalt and plumbing caused by multiple trees on the property. he completely restored our plumbing and water pressure and set us up with access to multiple outlets to ensure safety from any fire! He also got really creative and made several walkways with the pine trees that we would never have thought to do. I've truly never seen somebody so dedicated and persevere with such a difficult project and even helped to create a vision we did not have....
