I went in on a Saturday afternoon hoping to do a walk in. I was told I could wait or set up an appointment a few hours later. I decided to schedule an appointment for the next day after realizing how tired I was and much rather go rested. I was set up for next day at 10:30 am. I received and email asking about my style and preferences. This was to give my stylist a better idea of what I like. I arrived the next day at 10:30. My stylist name was Rosie. She took me over to the fitting room and looked over my style profile. I really gave her little to work with but she was able to find some really beautiful styles. Rosie brought over a few dresses and after trying the first two I had somewhat of an idea what I liked. When one of the dresses I liked wasn't able to be ordered online Rosie found a similar style. This style was the dress. Rosie added a belt to add a little more to the dress and a veil and there it was. Rosie again worked with the very little I gave her and she delivered. Rosie was also very patient and helpful with my mom and myself. She talked with my mom and made my mom feel a lot more comfortable being at the store. Give this location a try. Took my lil sis dress shopping for her upcoming wedding. The store was clean and well staffed. We went on a weekday morning so there were only 2 brides shopping. Try the weekdays if you're concerned about social distancing. They require masks and guests must use hand sanitizer before entering. Brooke, our DB stylist, is the best. She gives useful advice to the bride while also giving the bride an opportunity to voice her opinion. She was always around and available for the bride and her party while staying social distanced. Brooke is also proactive. She ordered the size we needed and made things work to get the dress earlier than initially expected. She also found and ordered a mask that would match the dress perfectly. BROOKE IS WOKE. What we appreciated most about her is that she never said anything discriminating or made us feel inferior. My sister is marrying her longtime girlfriend with a small budget in mind. Brooke never assumed her sexual orientation, socioeconomic status or showed cultural biases. She is professional and is a great stylist to work with. The girl that check us in was also amazing. Unfortunately I did not get her name but she was attentive to my sister and gave her a bride baggie and water. She was also around to help Brooke a couple times. Never pay a "pinning fee" if you don't go through with the quoted alterations. It's not a real fee. I attended an alterations appointment today at the Burbank, CA location for my bridesmaid dress, along with 2 other bridesmaids, and the bride. We had a total of 4 dresses to be pinned for first alteration. We arrived at 3:15 for our 3:30 appt and were finally seen around 4pm. We were briefed about the process and handed a piece of printer paper with some general policies, to review and sign. The piece of paper discussed how alterations once agreed to and paid would be final without refund or exchange. There was also disclosure about a rush fee if we needed the alterations done in a quicker timeframe. Sounds reasonable. Finally, there was a vague comment about estimates not being free. Unsure exactly what that entailed but from what we were told when we bought the dresses and what we read online, we were under the impression that alteration consultations were free. So all in all, the policies outlined on the sheet of paper sounded fine, so we signed, agreeing to proceed with the pinning. The pinning for all of our dresses took about 40min, and we were quoted about $200-$300 per bridesmaid dress alteration, and $550 for the bride's dress alteration. We knew it wouldn't be cheap, but weren't comfortable with the amount quoted and decided to forgo the alterations afterall. The ladies unpinned our dresses and handed them back to us, and then informed us of what we owed for our visit. Confused, we walked up to the register and asked what exactly we needed to pay for, to which the associate said $40 per bridesmaid dress pinning and $80 per bride dress pinning. We asked where these amounts came from, and they said it was on the sheet of printer paper we signed that said "estimates are not free". So again, we asked where did we come up with $40 and $80? Baffled by our inquiry, she requested someone from the alterations department come to us and show us in their handbook. When looking for the amount, they whispered to each other, clearly letting us know that a "pinning fee" wasn't in their price list. Instead, they pointed to the "rush fee" for $40 and said they would ring it up as that, and double for the bride ($80). Still confused, we went back and forth and opted to swipe our card since we wanted to leave the store and didn't have another option. So we paid the $220 for all four dress pinnings and were given a very long receipt, for which we were shocked to read. 22 charges of $10 rhinestone product. We looked at the associate and demanded an explanation for this unacceptable receipt, let alone the quoted prices that we already weren't comfortable with. They claimed that the pinning or rush fee services aren't a billing code for them, so they have to manually enter it. Absolutely unacceptable. Again I asked for the written policy or proof for the $40 bridesmaid pinning and $80 bride pinning fees. They said it was corporate policy and that they didn't have it documented anywhere in their store and that we'd need to contact corporate. So I did. I called the David's bridal phone number and was transferred to the text service and connected with an expert stylist. I asked if there was such a thing as a pinning fee for customers who go in for an alteration appointment but don't end up purchasing the alterations quoted. I was informed "no worries, there is no fee." I checked online at David's bridal website, FAQs pages, forums, Yelp reviews, etc. and not once did I come across a so called "pinning fee". This location should be ashamed for the stunt they tried to pull and for making us look like fools. Quoting us for a pinning fee that they don't even have in their official policy, referring to the price as based on "rush fee", ringing it up at the cash register as 22 rhinestones @ $10 each. And then making us feel like we were out of line for questioning any of it. I've never been more insulted in my life. read more

I'm so disappointed on how my family members got bad service at this bridal store. If there's one thing this chain knows how to do, it's how to over price their customers. Be sure if you aren't told, upfront, how much something will be, make sure you ask them, and ask to see it on their price list or website or somewhere to ensure they are being truthful. Just word of advice, don't order in store and always order online. I came in for a bridesmaids dress and they told me I had to order it in store & charged me a 20 dollar rush fee. I went home later that day, checked online for the same exact dress and said it will be at my house a week earlier without any rush fees at all. And if you order in store, they'll ship it to the store (not your house). If you wanted it at your house it's an extra 15$. Honestly, such a scam. Come into the store to find out your size and then order online. Or at the very least, compare to online before you order at the store. read more

So I went to this location last year as a bridesmaid in a wedding, and we received good services, dresses came on time, and they even shipped it to my house! But I want to talk about my bridal experience at this location. I got a dress about 9 months ago (from a different store), and truthfully, when I left the store I had dress regret. I waited a long time to try it on again and when I did, I still wasn't sold. I ended up taking myself to David's Bridal just to see what would happen. At first, I didn't tell them I had a dress already. I got paired with Rosie who brought be a few dresses. She ended up putting me in a dress that was very different than I had tried before. I really loved it when I tried it on, but felt guilty. I felt like I was lying to so many people. So I ended up telling Rosie the truth and broke down crying. Manager Melissa came in as well and they offered me SO much support. They weren't pushy and gave me space to think about it and come back. Long story short, I couldn't stop thinking about the dress. I tried it on at another store, and then called Rosie and Melissa back and told them I wanted to try it on again. They welcomed be back and made me feel like I was part of the family. They were excited to see me and were so warm and loving. I retried on the dress and was reminded how much I loved it. I ended up saying YES to my new dress! I got to make a wish for my future hubby and I, and ring the bell and it was so sweet. I am so grateful for Rosie for finding my dress, and Melissa for being so supportive and not pushy. On the plus side, my dress should only take a month to get in and I CAN'T WAIT to get it in! P.S. I visited this David's Bridal last month. It's taken me a month, just because I was hesitant. It was not a good experience. I had given them ideas(pictures) and also picked ones I had seen there, to try on. The stylist wasn't hearing me out, she brought out dresses that were not my type. The Manager or supervisor finally came and told her " give her what she wants" and was somewhat helpful. Then, there was another employee there, just staring and standing there with a rbf, didn't even smile, would put her two cents in and was negative. The stylist would literally put the dress inside the dressing room and didn't even help. I had my sister and best friend helping me with the zipper, snatching the dress, and helping me fix the dress to get a better idea. To top it off, my sister over heard a stylist say " wow they brought the whole school bus here". I had 5 plp- sorry my nieces wanted to come too! And it wasn't 3plp. They were sitting at a corner. So they were not in the way of anyone. I had a horrible experience! I'm doing this late because I went to a different DB today, and the experience was amazing! I've been to 5-6 different wedding dress shops in the area so far and this was by far my worst experience. The appointments are only 1 hr and boy do they make you feel like they're 20 min. I felt extremely rushed and wasn't even given time to think! I was being peppered with questions about what I did or didn't like immediately upon existing the dressing room. One of my guests asked the stylist to let me try on a specific dress 3 times and they ignored her request. Then, they gave me a very hard time about trying on that dress because my hour was up. I explained that my guest had asked 3 times and even clarified to the stylist which dress she was referring to and they still did not bring it out. In the end, it was a dress I liked A LOT but I wouldn't go back nor give them my business at this point. Oh and to top it off, the person in the dressing room next to mine was already trying on dresses when I arrived and was trying on dresses for a good 20 min after I was done... so much for the 1 hour time limit. Came here with my friend as moral support for bridal dress shopping and also for their grand opening event following renovation. Not sure how it looked before, but it's definitely clean and new looking. It also smells incredible, but that may be attributable to a room full of various girls' perfumes. When we walked in, we were greeted with pleasant smiles and asked if we could be helped. We were an hour and a half early for our dress trying appointment, but they were able to accommodate. Our stylist Laura was really informative, kind, caring, and humorous. She took time to figure out what my friend wanted and didn't make us feel rushed or pressured. She made it an overall fun and enjoyable experience instead of a grueling and stressful one. I walked in blind to this location to shop for a bridesmaids dress for a wedding 2 months away. I had been looking at dresses on the website, but wanted to ensure a good fit and that the style I picked was flattering. Even without an appointment (which I'd recommend- but didn't think to do), I was able to be assisted by Kristine who was very nice and accommodating to what I was looking for. Nothing better than thinking you're one dress size, only to find out I'm in fact 3 sizes smaller than thought! I'm glad I went in to try on as I picked a dress I wasn't considering by just looking at online photos. Kristine offered for me to try the dresses on with heels, which was very helpful as the look of the dress was changed with heels on. Kristine helped find the dresses I wanted to try and assisted in ordering the dress I picked in the color I needed. It was scheduled to arrive at my home by early October, but arrived early yesterday! Trying it on I felt confident and happy with the end result. When my cousin told me she scheduled a 7:30 p.m. appointment at David's Bridal for her first go around at wedding dress shopping, my exact thoughts were "may the odds be ever in our favor". Well they were in our favor + more. We had the pleasure of being helped by Brooke who was patient and had a creative mindset in the brides preferences, likes and dislikes. She helped the bride try on 5+ dresses, each progressing in ranking. You can tell she's dealt with multiple brides, mothers, friends, etc. My cousin was able to say "Yes to the dress" with her assistance. The manager, Stephanie, was a delight and a very resourceful part in the dress picking process. I bonded with her immediately. Overall, I would definitely recommend coming here for wedding / bridesmaids dress shopping. TIP: would definitely recommend making an appointment on weekends. read more

I was lied to regarding store policy on items that were NOT final sale . She stamped final sale after a disagreement with one of my bridesmaids after ADMITTING the dresses were indeed NOT FINAL SALE. I waited until the last minute to find a bridesmaid dress. Typical me. The bride wanted a taupe dress that was elegant and different than everyone else's. So I decided to go to David's bridal today to look at a bridesmaids dress and possibly buy one. I was greeted by Sarah Ann at the door she was very nice she showed me the personal fitting room I was going to be using and then she brought me a couple of options based on what i asked. I wasn't quite happy with the first couple options she brought, they were beautiful dresses but I just didn't think they match what we needed. After i showed her a picture example Sarah hopped right on it. She gave me the iPad and showed me a bunch of other different options in the color that I needed. I showed her a dress that I liked, and she brought it over for me in my size. And it fit beautifully. I'll update with pictures of me in my dress once jt come Sarah was really busy with a bunch of other customers, but she still made sure my friend (who was also shopping for the same wedding and needed a dress) and I were taken care of. She was very nice, hospitable, and knowledgeable about the dresses at her store. I ended up picking the first dress that she brought over to me and ordered it in my size and color. I am so excited for the wedding and I feel so much better knowing that I found the perfect dress that fits me perfectly. Thank you Sarah Ann for all of your help. I needed to get my dress taken in so i came back in on February 27th for alterations for my dress! I was really busy and wasn't able to make an appointment but so thankful they were able to get me in as a walk-in especially because the wedding is March 20th. I was helped by Firouzeh, Amara and Sarah! They helped make me feel comfortable and confident in my dress. I was a little nervous because I had already spent a fair amount on the wedding stuff but was pleasantly surprised how affordable everything was! Beware when you buy something here, even if you never wear it or even touch it, if you try to return within the warranty date they will not help you and even lie to say that it looks dirty and worn out. As a second-time bride, I walked in with an appointment, a budget, and a style. I was alone, which is unfortunate, because no matter how much I asked the saleswoman and manager for an honest opinion, they repeated, 'it checks all your boxes, and is the style you wanted'. Not going to lie: I was not looking forward to this appointment and had even prepared myself for a terrible experience. I had done a lot of research and found a lot of negative reviews about David's Bridal through instagram, bridal groups, etc. So when I had gone in, it was moreso for the the formality of trying on silhouettes and getting a feel for what styles I might like. I had even prepared a speech if I was pressured into a making a purchase. Enter Carly Jean. A bubbly personality who was an awesome mix of sass and sweet. She asked me to give her 3 words to describe how I want to feel on my wedding day and made it a point to stress that she did not want me to engage in any language that was fat-phobic or body shaming. She asked me to pick 3 dresses and I saw her pulling a few other dresses to try on. Now I don't like shopping. I live and die by a capsule wardrobe, and with additionally weight I've put on over the past few years, I'm very uncomfortable in my skin. The only time I ever purchase any clothing, I frequent Roam.e in Montrose because the owner styles me and I like that experience. So the idea of trying on dresses made me super uncomfortable. Carly made me feel incredibly comfortable, as if she was a part of the wedding and bridal party. She made the experience such a positive one, and she made me feel special and beautiful--and I have not felt that way in a few years. I'm certain other brides may be disappointed in the selection. There weren't a lot of things that caught my eye, but low and behold, the dress I ended up falling in love with was in a style I wouldn't wear. I don't remember if I pulled the dress or if Carly did, but regardless her excitement with the dress made me more excited. There was no hard pressure to buy, and Carly even reassured me I could take my time. In the end, I decided to get the dress which was half of the already small budget I had set aside for the dress. As if this wasn't enough, Carly went above and beyond to be kind to my mother who is elderly and reaching a point where her memory is... very fuzzy. Carly was super sweet, respectful, and was able to manage both my chatty mom and the other patrons in the salon. While my mom forgot part of the day (including when I paid for the dress), she didn't forget Carly. In fact, when I dropped her off at home, I overheard her tell my dad that a "very nice lady helped [me] find the perfect dress." A number of other consultants were supportive during my dress fitting, so overall, it was such a positive experience. Someone give Carly all the gold stars. She deserves it, if not for her exquisite service but just the kindness, sweetness, and patience she extended to my mom. read more

I heard David's Bridal was closing. My late mother was a seamstress and once designed a wedding dress. Not mine, because I am not yet married. So we never went to David's Bridal, because I'm raised to right a seamstress or couture, not mass market bridal-wear. But hearing the news, I had to visit David's Bridal for myself. Anyways, I asked when they were closing... And found out that they worked out their issues. So, long live David's Bridal. Wedding don't have to expensive to look it. Mass market bridal-wear can be cost effective... Once every one of your friends fall in love with different dresses. David's Bridal has dresses starting at $99. Also, clearance and trending dresses and merchandise. You could probably get the whole decent-sized bridal party taken care of with $1k or less. It usually takes a soon-to-be bride 90-minutes to find that perfect dress at an appointment fitting. The racks could be neater. The showroom could use a vacuuming. The staff was inviting, warm and probably attentive to those buying dresses, shoes, jewelry and more... read more

Had a really bad experience shopping here, the employees were really unprofessional and did not make me feel welcomed

From my first visit to David's last September to my final alterations the week before my wedding, this place did a fantastic job taking care of me, my dress, and my concerns or questions I had along the way. I tried on several dresses during my first visit, but it was during my second time at David's in October when I chose "the one," a gorgeous Vera Wang gown that I ended up loving even more on my wedding day last Saturday. Cameron was wonderful in assisting me with all the gowns and making the deciding moment special. He also answered a lot of questions and never pressured me into anything. When it was time for alterations, I needed to make a few visits, and the alterations staff was always great at paying attention to every detail and providing all the information I'd need to choose undergarments, walk properly, and preserve the dress after the wedding. Ashleigh was particularly helpful with advice and answering specific questions. When I needed a few more alterations on the dress just days before the wedding, the staff did not hesitate to take care of things quickly and perfectly without any extra charges. Choosing a dress can be a tough and wild process for a bride, but the staff at David's made it easy, smooth, and fun for me. I loved the dress so much I didn't want to take it off! read more

I understand the seamstresses are talented and detail-oriented, but unfortunately they missed the mark with my dress. I feel that no matter how much I voiced that I felt my dress was altered in a way that changed how it fit they would continue to explain and give me reasons as to why it fit the way it did and why it was fine. I have always heard great reviews about David's Bridal, but if a bride is going to spend a lot of money on a dress they might as well go to a boutique bridal shop. One other thing, the stylist initially advised the I buy a dress 2 sizes bigger. Glad I didn't or else alterations cost would've been much more. read more

The helpers really don't want to be there. It's obvious, as they rotely go through their spiel. My daughter found my other daughter's bridal gown herself because the helper was too busy helping the two other girls there: I don't have a problem with that except I think three brides in a half hour appointment is a bit much. Go someplace else for that special gown. Although we found my daughter's, it could have been a much more special experience. We simply didn't feel valued, or that they cared AT ALL.
