This store feels more like a thift shop than a wedding dress store. When you first enter you have to be herded like cattle into a "line" and wait an hour for a consultant, even if you have an appointment. But during this hour of waiting don't try to look at any of the dresses hanging up right next to you, they will surely yell at you and tell you that you cannot look at anything without a consultant. The staff is very rude and pushy, it feels as if they are just trying to push you through their store rather than let you find that one dress. Another experience that I have had with the store is when my sister bought her wedding gown and bridesmaid dresses the employees tried telling her that she ordered the wrong dresses and that she would have to pay for the dresses they ordered even though she had a receipt and pictures of the bridesmaid dresses she actually ordered. All of the dresses are very cheap looking, feeling and they are not worth the money for what they are. Also do not get your dress altered here, as I have heard many stories, from employees, who talk about how they have left pins in the dresses and how they have cut up the dresses and the bride. If you are looking for a wedding gown or bridesmaid dress go somewhere else where the employees are knowledgable and will truly treat a bride with respect. read more

If all employees at David's are as amazing as Patty then there would be no reason to ever shop elsewhere. Having heard mixed reviews about David's I was unsure about going, but I was really having a hard time finding the right dress so I wanted to give David's a chance. Even though the store was very busy Patty radiated energy and excitement. She is amazing. In the few hours I spent with her I was touched on such a deep emotional level. Despite her juggling other customers and calls to the greeting desk I never felt like I wasn't the center of her attention. She asked me what I was looking for in a dress, and was enthusiastic about my needs for sparkle. We tried on one dress and after the few comments I made about it she pulled the perfect dress next. I never would have tried this dress with out her help. And when she took me over to the the mirrors with the natural light, put a gorgeous veil on my head, added a stunning sash to add more glitz, fluffed my train and let me enjoy how stunning I looked, she and I both knew that was my dress. Despite being pretty confident in her pull she grabbed a few others and let me experience the fun of trying on dresses. After about three other dresses I was dying to put the second one back on. Then she took me over to the natural light again and my mother and sister came over. The magic of the moment over came me and my mother and I ended up crying all over. I knew it was the dress, and I never would have found it with out Patty. I have been to a few other shops and none of those experiences were bad, but they did not make me feel near as special or important as Patty did. I thought I was in love with a dress from another store, but it did not make me cry like the one we found. Patty look a few minutes to get to know me and dazzled me with her warm personality and her ability to excel at her job. Working with her was like having an angel/fairy godmother by my side. The first time I went in was a pretty busy Sunday and I didn't have an appointment, however I was still helped quickly and had excellent service from the stylist Dana. I only tried on a few dresses, but the ones I liked were saved in my profile. I made an appointment a few weeks later to go back and worked with Dana again. She provided excellent service and helped me select my wedding gown, and she also let me try on dresses for my bridesmaids so I knew exactly what I wanted. I have no complaints about my experience so far and am looking forward to actually receiving my dresses! read more

Rachel was so helpful during my experience shopping for a wedding dress. We arrived at the store earlier then our appointment, so myself, my mother and my maid of honor walked around and browsed. They called us up shortly after we arrived still before my appointment time. I had no idea what style/type of dress I wanted- but of course had the vague idea of how I wanted to look. Rachel went out and got me tons of different styles until we found the dress of my dreams. Cannot wait until my dress comes in!! Only complaint would be the setup of the store that it's very open, the dressing rooms are all next to each other - I had another party approach me with their opinions of which dress was "the one", but I had an amazing experience all around!!! read more

Bought my wedding dress here for my October wedding. My dress was fantastic, and the benefit of buying a wedding dress at a national chain is if you change your mind about your dress, David's allowed me to exchange the gown and get a new one at equal or greater value, however the experience of shopping at David's bridal was pretty terrible. My mother and I must have made at least 6 trips over the last year here and each time, and with an appointment, we were seen at least 20-40 minutes later to the dressing rooms which was always one giant cattle call no matter what time of day we went. I found all of the fitting girls to be nice and polite but very rushed (as it seemed several brides were assigned to them at once) and the attendants at the podium to be downright mean. A few suggestions for David's to make shopping there a more pleasurable experience: 1. Limit the amount of people brides are allowed to bring into the dressing area, The size of the entourages some of these girls had were ridiculous. Plus, there are about 6 chairs in the entire dressing area. Everyone just stands around awkwardly. And seriously girls, this isn't Kleinfelds, keep the dress trying on to your mother and FEMALE siblings and 1 or 2 close friends. 2. On that note, please do not allow men in the dressing area. Between all the brides, bridesmaids, and entourage members, there are too many women being exposed in their underwear uncomfortably already. If Dad is paying for the dress, he can wait up front. 3 There are mirrors everywhere! On every single imaginable surface! Obviously you are dress shopping, but the mirror overkill is off-putting and at times, disheartening. I only want to see the final product, not someones male entourage member peeking at me in my bra via one of the mirrors. Seriously, please take down some of the mirrors. I do appreciate that David's allowed me to exchange my dress until I fell in love with one. For that I am really grateful. But the store shopping experience was awful. I was trying to not be the bride that spends several thousands on a dress but after the David's experience, I kind of wish I had. But I can say I married the man of my dreams and truly that's all that matters. read more

I came here to re try on a dress that I had tried on in Portland, ME. The consultant that helped me out was Patricia M. She was so amazing! Before I had came here I had tried on 20-25 wedding gowns. She had told me that no bride should ever have to try that many gowns and she was right. She got me into a dress I had already on. It was one of the first few dresses I tried on. I went to David's Bridal with my mom and three of my four bridesmaids. I made the appointment about a month ahead of time. We arrived on time for our appointment, waited in line for about ten minutes to sign in, and then had to wait another 15 minutes for a consultant to be assigned to us. I'm not sure the initial wait could have been avoided, but I felt that we should have had a consultant ahead of time. I had even confirmed the appointment the day before. I had picked out a dress online, but I wanted to make sure that it looked good in person and that it fit the various body types of my bridesmaids. The consultant brought the dress out in a few sizes and assigned us a fitting room. There was only one fitting room for my three bridesmaids to use. There was no place for everyone else to sit down or even to stand without being in the way. There was no place to put coats. The consultant left to help other people. My mom and I huddled in a hallway holding everyone's coats while my bridesmaids tried on their dresses. Two of my bridesmaids happened to wear size 8, and the consultant hadn't included a size 8 in the pile of dresses. We found her and asked for one. She did not have one. I also asked her if I could see the dress in the color that we planned to order it in. She didn't have that either, but she was able to show me another dress in the color. I wanted trying on bridesmaid's dresses to be a fun experience for everyone, but it was more like a rushed errand. It seemed like the people who worked there just wanted us to leave as quickly as possible and didn't care if we purchased dresses there or not. If we hadn't gone in knowing what dress we wanted, I can't image that the consultants would have been able to help us find one. We only tried one dress, and I don't think they would have let us stay long enough to try on more than one. We ended up liking the dress and buying it. That was in early February. We were told that the dresses would be in by mid-March. Two of them are in. The third dress, I'm now being told, will not be in until May. They are all the exact same dress. Will they hold the first two dresses until the third dress is in? No. I have a week from the time they came in to pick them up or they will be sent back. Even though they are already paid for. I do not recommend David's Bridal to anyone. Luckily, I bought my wedding dress at Bride and Gown and had a much better experience. read more

I have had 3 bad experiences in my 9 months of planning a wedding so far. All 3 bad experiences happened David's bridal. 2 at this location, and 1 (which was far less of a terrible experience by comparison) at a different location in Syracuse. My first experience, happened the month after I got engaged. I made an appointment to try on bridal dresses for a weekend. My sister (and MOH) was supposed to come with me to the appointment. At the last minute her 8 month old child got sick and she had to cancel. Instead of canceling the entire appointment I decided I would go on my own (my mother and other bridesmaids are not in Albany). I had an appointment for first thing in the morning. I arrived to the parking lot about 15 minutes before they opened in November so I stayed in my car. At about 10 minutes until the store opened the parking lot starting filling up and groups of girls starting to line up outside at the door. I still stayed in my car, because being just me I did feel a little awkward. Fast forward 10 minutes later when the store door opened. I got out of my car when the line made its way inside (I was not standing out in the cold, I had an appointment). They had already gotten through some people who had made appointments and hooked them up with sales people. The three groups in front of me when asked all replied that they did not have appointments. They were asked to stand to the side. When I got to counter I told them I was a bride, it was my first time there, I had already filled out all the information, and it was just me. The counter lady signed me in and asked me to step aside and someone would be with me shortly. She continued to sign people in. Sales people who had not been hooked up with any brides, or bridesmaids were starting to be paired off to the customers who did not have appointments. I went up to the counter after everyone other than me had been paired off and asked how long my wait would be. It had already been over 10 minutes. They told me they were so sorry and it would not be longer. 25 minutes later a lady came in for her shift (she was over 15 minutes early) and I heard them tell her to hurry up because they had someone waiting for her. Ultimately it took until 45 minutes after the store opened to be paired up with a sales person when I had an appointment. As I mentioned earlier at least 3 people did not have appointments and they were seen before me. Some of them were also only bridesmaids, and as I was a bride I would think they would want to spend a little extra attention to me, even if I was solo. The lady helping me was amazing and tried helping the best she could, but my mind was not in at that point. My second bad experience was when I went back with a bridesmaid (again with an appointment) at the Syracuse store. No agent ever helped us. After being checked in we were told to go look at some options until someone was able to help us. After looking (we already knew the three dresses we wanted her to try on) after about 10 minutes of standing around a lady let us into a dressing room. Once we confirmed what we wanted we stood at the check out for 15 minutes with no one helping us to pay for a dress. The last experience was simply going for the last one to get fitted properly. We stood at the counter for 25 minutes with multiple people walking by without stopping to ask if we needed help. Finally someone did and said they would send someone up to help. It never happened. We left the store and I called the store to see what would happened. I reached someone faster by calling then when I was standing right in the store. I wish I did not even have to order my bridesmaid dresses through them because of all of these experiences, but one of my friends is 6 foot and they offer the proper options. It is a shame that something that could be so nice as it is so convenient being so many places, and reasonably priced needs to have such terrible customer services towards people in their happiest times. read more

From the minute we walked in I felt like it was unorganized. The women who I was assigned, seemed to have no experience and it was just a job to her. It was as if I was inconveniencing her to bring out more dresses as it was past the "appointment" time. She didn't help take off or put dresses back on the hangers and brought out dresses that were totally different from what I had asked for. Being my first time wedding dress shopping I thought it was going to be a fun and exciting time with my close family and friends and it was a total let down. I went out of my way on the last day of my vacation to stop at this David's Bridal location. I am the maid of honor in a friend's wedding and the bride was told by David's Bridal, during an in-person visit, that her bridal party could come in to any location and look at dresses and even get a discount by mentioning her name and phone number. When I walked in last weekend I was "greeted" by a rude sales woman who said "we aren't taking walk ins" she didn't even ask if I had an appointment... I told her I just wanted to try on a single bridesmaid dress to determine the right size. She said there was no room (I get making appointments - but how is there no room for walk ins to try things on when you are a business that relies on people trying on dresses??). I asked if I could just go look at the one dress and she said okay but never pointed me in the right direction. She also didn't give any help on sizing, and worst of all didn't offer to help me set up a future appointment. She did nothing to try and capture my business. Please do not offer discounts to excited brides and then treat their wedding party like garbage. You swindled my friend into selecting a dress from your store, but then provided ZERO customer service to members of her bridal party. I will be asking my friend to reconsider her options in bridesmaid dresses - and I know I will not be using or recommending David's Bridal in the future. Such a scam. read more

My bridal appointment was double booked. Not terrible, but would have been nice to have had more attention. First fitting was a disappointment, as my consultant ordered one of my dresses in the wrong size for me and "there wasn't a note in my file" about it. Dress reordered in correct size and had to make another trip to try it on. My first alterations appointment was wonderful, although that was also double booked. My only attendant made an appointment for her dress and it was not worth our time. We waited for about 30 minutes before a "consultant" even talked to us and then she didn't even really help us. We tried on 3-4 dresses that we found ourselves and when we saw the "consultant" again she actually said to us, "oh I thought you left already". Overall, I guess I get what I pay for, but I wouldn't recommend going here for any serious service at all. Disappointed with their customer service, because it doesn't really exist. read more

I was there to pick out a wedding dress and 3 bridesmaids dresses we had a 10am appointment and upon arrival the first thing I was told was we limit our appointments to 90 minutes...i was ok well i kinda wish she had said Hi i will help you find a dress that you love....I did find my dress,but the young bridesmaids were rushed and basically,told that whatever they choose would most likely not be here by May....and we had to,hurry she had another appointment...well i did buy my,dress a floor,model which i have on layaway but my children (My bridesmaids) did not and I will be ordering elsewhere. read more

Was there several times the first time I thought it might just of been that they gave me a guy to assist me but the second time I got a woman and she was worse than the guy. They dont care about what you would like or how much you want to spend. They show you stuff and then tell you they cant get it, my daughter's want to slap the lady she was so rude. When you ask for in stock stuff they tell you they cant sell it what the heck are you in business for. To bad there are not other places open at night and week-ends where working people can go. She pulled over 20 dresses for me to try on with ZERO complaints and a smile always on her face. She dressed me up with veils and shoes and bling whenever I felt like I needed a little push. She knew what I was looking for and she made sure I saw everything. I honestly can say my visit with her was nothing short of amazing. I live in the Philadelphia area, but my family lives in Albany, NY. On a weekend visit, we decided to come here after I'd failed to find a wedding dress at the David's Bridal by me, Alfred Angelo, and 2 other bridal boutiques. When my bridesmaids and I tried on dresses at the other David's B location where I live, it was a Saturday morning and sooo crowded. Our sales person was helping about 5 other groups at the same time and wasn't bringing me any dresses that I wanted. This David's Bridal experience (Colonie) was so much better and it's all thanks to my sales associate - Heidi! She was wonderful and got every dress and new size that I asked for. She also gave her input and brought me belts and veils to try also. She made the experience stress-free and fun. This David's also seemed to have a larger selection of bridal dresses for some reason (or at least the styles I wanted). My mom and sister helped me say yes to the dress! And by calling in to the store closest to where I live now, I can even pick it up there when it comes in. I was about to give up on David's for finding my dress, but so glad that I didn't. I'd highly recommend this store. My sister came in 2 weeks prior to try on her bridesmaid dress again and order it and it was ready already ready when we came back this weekend! I have bridesmaids in 3 different states, so I was glad that they were able to order them at the stores closest to them. I also got my prom dress and a senior ball dress here back in 2003 and 2004. read more

Where to even start...so first of all, when I first ventured into David's bridal, I was excited, nervous and expecting to find the perfect wedding gown, which eventually I did, or so i thought. I found the perfect, a-line, beautiful gown! Hooray! Then I ordered it, in a size 12. It came in, fantastic! In a size 16x! Not so great. After fighting with the manager Mary, and what seemed like every single associate there for 3 months and filing a report with the BBB, they agree to exchange the dress! I go in, bring the gown with me etc, and they tell me they don't have the dress in my size or at all anymore, but I'm welcome to try again. Fine, whatever, let's just get this over with. The woman Audrey asks what style I'm looking for, I say tea length, garden wedding themed, rustic themed, pearls lace etc. she comes back with 5 cocktail length dresses, and one with a 4 foot train. I try them on, and emphasized how much I preferred tea length! She looked very confused, so I asked if she understood what I meant by tea length and tried to explain it, but she cut me off, and said I'm not stupid. I know what I pulled is tea length! However, tea length is not high thigh or 4 foot behind you. Frustrated and ready to leave, my cousin and aunt decided to go hunt down what I was looking for, they found THE DRESS!!! Hooray!!! The associate scoffed and noted it was a poor choice. I purchased it, along with a veil! My veil has still yet to show up, and I got married a month ago, but they won't cancel the order! I order both the dress and veil in January btw! So now it's time to go bridesmaids dress shopping! I had to pull the girls sizes, because Debbie was too busy, the person who was supposed to help us! Oh and I specially asked for a larger block appointment because I had 6 bridesmaids, 1 flower girl, and the mother of the bride all coming at once. So I pulled for all 8 people. Then 15 minutes in Debbie tells us to hurry up, were out of time! Such a love she was! I blocked out an hour of time, used 15 minutes of it, and was being told to go. My flower girl (more like a jr bridesmaid, she's 12) turned to her and said, miss we had arranged for an hour because there's so many of us, it hasn't been an hour yet. She told me I needed to learn to shut my sister up. I held my toungue and moved on with the girls. The girls ordered their dresses, all excited and ready to go. Then the nightmare really begins! All these dresses were the same, except the sizes. Same color, same dress, everything. The first dress came in 3 weeks later, which was my jr bridesmaid/flower girl. Her dress was ordered in a 14 girls, it came in in a 8. So I fought to have it exchanged, but anther bridesmaids dress came in as well. All these dresses were tickled pink, or supposed to be. This bridesmaids dress came in in a aqua green color! So far off! Fought to return it and get the right color. Then the other girls all come in about 6 weeks later, we go in to pick them up, told we can't have anyone try them on, fought that battle as well, especially after al the ta do previously, but was still refused and told to leave. Miraculously they all fit etc once we got home, but now it's fitting time (we went elsewhere, thank god!!) every single dress was crooked! Meaning when aligned properly, the zipper was on their shoulders! Al 6 dresses had to be taken apart by the seemstress and put back together. All the zippers had to be redone, because none of them worked! So we get to the wedding day, everything is done and were changing to go to the after party. I had to cut, yes literally cut 5 out of 6 girls out of their dresses because the zippers literally snapped off! At this point j called the store, what was I told? "Not our problem, not our issue" and was hung up on! So would I recommend David's bridal? NO. NEVER! Run away, as fast as you can! read more

This is going to be kind of lengthy. I have experienced this David's Bridal 4x in the past 3 months, and 3 out of 4 times my experience left me cringing. First time I went with my maid of honor, we were just browsing but Kristen was amazing, I found my dress and my girls dresses. I explained to Kristen that I would be back with my mother so she could see the dress on me etc, no problems. 2nd time, I went with my mom, we scheduled an appointment I had called to say we were stuck in traffic and we would be 4-5 min late, we walked in waited at least 15min before anyone saw us, and when we asked for assistance a consultant said " I'm here but i'm not here, I am not supposed to be scheduled to work" Thank goodness Patti took charge and cashed us out and we left. 3rd time, I had saw online that the bridesmaid dress I chose was now 50.00 instead of 150, this was amazing to me so I arranged my bridesmaid to come with me to the store so we could buy her dress right then and there. We went to the rack grabbed the dress and Yvonne cashed us out, I explained that I saw the dress online for cheaper and immediately she cut me off and said NO YOU ARE WRONG.....I showed her on my phone the same dress, and she still insisted I didnt know what I was talking about and this dress isn't 50.00. After arguing with me for 10 min I showed her the size, style, and color as well as matched the numbers online to the dress and she snatched the dress from my bridesmaid and said you'll need to talk to a manager. At this point, I was so furious I was about to say forget it, but I gave the "manager" the benefit of the doubt. The manager explained that we would have to get the dress for that price online because they cant do sale prices online in store! WHAT?! We explained we would pay for the dress right then and there, order it and it still wasn't ok to give us the dress for that price. At this point I was beyond frustrated but still had my bridesmaid try on the dress. Yvonne sent us to a room and walked away, 3 people had to call Yvonne to help my bridesmaid with the dress zippering it, and she just walked away and ignored us, my bridesmaid had to track down another consultant, and when Yvonne saw this she immediately came over and proceeded to argue with the other consultant claiming we said " we didn't need any help". At this point I was DONE...... I didn't want to be there I didn't want to get my dream dress I fell in love with prior to this experience I just didn't want to support a company like this. 4th time, was a phone call, my mother insisted that I get this dress because it looks so great on me etc, etc, I gave in, and I decided to check on my status of the dress. The woman whom I don't remember her name, answered the phone I explained my mom payed for and ordered my dress, and I wanted to make sure how I knew when my dress was in, very rudely she answered We will call you.... I had said I would like to know if you have the right number, she sighed on the phone asked my name very snotty, and said my size, I had asked if it was a "regular" 16 size or if it was women's because I would need that size in Women's.... and she replied with YES.... its a 16 WOMAN very rudely. For some reason I am in 2x in the system so I wanted to make sure the right dress was ordered, so I had said to her I have the number if you needed it to help you out, and again snotty she goes what number.... ugh! I am cringing my experience when I have to be fitted and have alterations for this dress.... this took away my "exciting" experience for dress shopping and now I am just worrying that my dress wont be right, or wont be altered correctly. My girls dresses will most likely be ordered somewhere else, and i am just praying my dress turns out correct! You would think for a customer paying 600 + for her wedding dress the consultants would be much nicer. read more

The whole experience was awful! First, the selection for casual, beach wedding dresses is pretty much non existent. Second, the customer service doesn't make up for what the selection lacked. I had an appointment scheduled at 1, and I wasn't even greeted by a consultant until after 1:20. Then the consultant did not understand what I wanted at all, nor was she even around for 90% of the appointment. She brought a dress over once in a while and then she would disappear again. Even the other consultants were rude, one woman walked by and hit me with a handful of ball gowns because she couldn't be bothered to say excuse me. I wish I could give this place zero stars. First off the people that work at this location are just plain rude. Clearly no one taught them respect. I used to work in customer service and can't believe this place hasn't gone under. You need to make an appointment otherwise you should just leave. They get so mad at you if you look around and when you do- they make sure you know the rules to not take anything off the rack. Oh and you CANT try anything on either unless you have an appointment. Only reason I went here was because I needed a bridesmaids dress. When I got married, I went to a small boutique and had an AMAZING time. ( that's how it should be!) Made an appt. there were 13 people with me, 4 brides maids and me were trying on dresses. When it was our time to try on dresses, Pam yelled my name looking for me through the store, very rude from the beginning. When she asked me what type of dress I was looking for I showed her pictures and told her. She picked out dresses that were nothing I was asking for. I tried them on, didn't like them and asked her for something I was looking for. She took 20 minutes to bring me others to try on, as she was working with 2 other brides. I had to have my family help get me dresses and then bridesmaids found their own dresses and sizes. Finally I told her I wanted her help, she was extremely rude and ignored it. I found the dress I wanted on another bride and asked the bride who had it on if I could try it on after her. In the end we had another bridal consultant help us who fitted me and my bridesmaids correctly (Debbie). Moral of the story, never have Pam as your bridal consultant!!! Always ask for Debbie she was amazing, very helpful, and made me feel the way a bride should when looking for a dress. read more

One name: PATTY. I bought my dress yesterday and it's stunning. I had no appointment, but came in the middle of a Friday and I HIGHLY recommend it. I've been here before on a weekend and it was a shitshow. Back to Patty - she started by asking me tons of questions of what I was looking for in my wedding gown. I think I was there four or five hours and Patty was SO accommodating, pulling up everything applicable to my tastes and some other items that she felt I might want to try on. I ended up choosing something entirely different from what I expected to pick. Prior to dress shopping at DB, I had just left a store down the street where the lady seemed to be sizing me up and down and I didn't feel welcomed. Patty took me under her wing and when I wanted the world on a student budget, she respected that and delivered. I also wanted to ask about alterations and she immediately brought the seamstress over to answer everything. Maria up front was very friendly as well. I just cant say enough of wonderful things about Davids Bridal and the employees. My mother and I went to find a dress for her and everyone made it such a special day for both of us. Danielle was so help full and sweet. Kay and Mary came over and welcomed us and gave us a hug. Danielle said "i just cant thank you enough in allowing us to be apart of your wedding " i realized how honest and special they have been. they go over and beyond any customer service i experienced. read more

had a 9:30 apt today with my future daughter in law and her best friend and their respective moms. Our consultant Dana was so sweet and very in tune with what my son's fiancé was looking for. She was allowing her to take her time, there was no pressuring her and in discussing the price point, stayed within the budget. Dana was just amazing. The place was different that I had remembered and the consultants all looked so nice in black and it was all just a very professional atmosphere. When my daughter in law to be chose her dress, a bell on a black velvet pillow was brought over to her, she was told to make a wish, then when she opened her eyes, we all cheered. It was just a wonderful experience. She looked absolutely beautiful, my son is going to faint when he sees her, and I would recommend setting up an apt with David's for anyone looking for a beautiful dress, a professional setting, and utmost care from very capable consultants. Short version: This store is the Walmart of wedding shopping. Not recommended. I recently went to David's Bridal to replace a bridesmaid's dress for my sister's wedding. The original date was postponed, and I had lost enough weight in the mean time that my dress was at least three sizes too big. All I needed was to try on the same style to figure out my new size so I could order a replacement. I made an appointment during my lunch hour, since the store was only 15 minutes away in lunch hour traffic. First I called to inquire whether they had the style in stock. I should have known by the long sigh at the other end of the phone, that this was not going to be simple and painless. Fifteen minutes later, I was assured that they did have it, but in only one of the sizes I hoped to try on. Good enough. When I arrived for my appointment, the greeter "needed" all of my personal information, which I had already given on the phone, to enter in The System (which was as slow as Windows 3.1, if anyone remembers what that was like.) And then she wanted the bride's name. And they couldn't find it. She called for backup, and two couldn't find it. I get that this is their customer service tool, and this is what they're "supposed" to do, even when it's become an obstacle to good customer service. And now I'm 30 minutes into my lunch hour. So I said "I know what dress and sizes I need to try. I'm going to try on while you look." I found the dress on the rack in all three sizes, got a fitting room, and tried them on. Another consultant was kind enough to give me some feedback on fit, because the one that I had an appointment with was nowhere to be found. (I wish I had gotten her name. She had just finished working with a bride, who was thrilled with her final choice. To the young woman with the brown hair: You are a star. A ray of sunshine and rare competence in that place.) My consultant was still looking for my sister in The System, I imagine. Back up front, I asked if I could exchange the original dress for the new size. They were still obsessed with finding my sister in The System. 10 minutes of lunch hour remaining, and work was 15 minutes away. I had to go. They paged a store manager who told me they couldn't exchange because they didn't even carry that dress in their store anymore. I'm not even sure she looked at it, and this is the same dress that I rifled through at least 12 of to find the sizes I needed. And they could order it for me. Which is kind of how "carrying a dress" works, yes? But fine, it was purchased some time ago, and it was a long shot question. There are far worse things than losing 30 pounds and having to replace a bridesmaid's dress. (Or one's entire wardrobe.) But no way was I going to engage these folks in any kind of time-critical order. So later that day I ordered my size and color online. And you know what? Not once did I have to enter the bride's name. Not once. read more

don't go here, they don't care about you. you have to pay for the dress that day, when they get it in they give you a week to pick it up. then they charge you almost 12 dollars for a bag to put it in you spend 1000.00 on a dress and they cant throw in the bag, what a sh-t show. they are very unprofessional. they don't offer you any info about alterations, they need a lesson in kindness. also when you make your 1 hour appointment your consultant is taking care of two clients. really. everyone go somewhere else even if you have to pay a little more. they could learn a lot from klienfelds shop. they know how to make a bride feel good. read more
