my friend caitlyn (the bride), me & the rest of her bridal party came in to try on dresses for her FIRST time to get an idea of what looks good & what she wanted. as soon as we walked in the lady at the desk was friendly but the lady walking around behind her had a stank face from the start & seemed like our presence bothered her but she ended up saying she would be assisting us today. caitlyn had an inspo picture of what she really liked & when she showed the lady she said & i quote "we don't have that you're gonna have to pick something else" & made caitlyn cry thinking she came 30 minutes out here for no reason. they ended switching us over to cam & he was GREAT!!!!! he made our experience 10x better & i wouldn't have rated it 4 stars if it wasn't for him. he was patient & really helped caitlyn figure out what she actually wanted. the first lady doesn't deserve a job helping people find their dress for their special day, i hope she gets fired. cam on the other hand deserves a raise!!! read more

Laura was amazing! I said yes to the dress and that was when the amazing stopped. I had to call them to see if my dress had arrived only to find out it had been there for almost 3 weeks. Less than a week later I received a call that snidely informed me their policy is dresses must be picked up within 14 days & according to them it had been almost 30 days Additionally, today my mom went to pick up the dress & it wasn't in a dress bag, when she inquired about it she was rudely informed "the dress bags are $39 & SHE didn't want one" (I was never asked if I would like to purchase one so I'm unsure how they would know I didn't want one). My bridesmaids will not be shopping at David's Bridal, nor will any of the rest of my wedding party. They seem to lose all customer service skills after the sale is made. read more

This location has very rude workers. I have never seen a David 's Bridal that does not do measurements. My daughter went there to get measurements and try on a few dresses for an upcoming wedding. They were no help and rude and made her experience bad. This location claim they do not do measurements when most David's Bridal do. I am wondering if it's the color of skin that makes them so rude because my daughter is black. Someone needs to check this location on rudeness. I told her to try Davids Bridal. I had to pick up a bridesmaid dress, so my initial visit was to get sized and place the order. The person who helped me was very nice and attentive. However, on my second visit, it was a Saturday or Sunday, and there was a girl in the front who, for whatever reason, stopped me when I walked in to "assist me." However, she was on the phone helping a customer with no immediate end in sight of the conversation ending. I thought it was extremely rude that she asked me to stay where I was but didn't acknowledge me again. The people at the registers did not look busy, and I felt like she could have triaged what I was coming in for rather than leaving me to stand there looking silly. Ultimately, I left and returned on a weekday when I figured it would be less busy. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. I likely wont have to return to David's Bridal in general, but if I do, I will try a different location for a better, more consistent experience. read more

I had a disappointing experience. I recently went in to the store to find a wedding guest dress for a wedding I have coming up. When I walked in, the sales associates were nice and welcomed me in and offered to assist. As I was looking at the sales rack I found two dresses that I wanted to try on. The sales associate, a young lady, proceeded to take the two dresses out of my hands and place them back on the rack and say " you wouldn't want those" and proceeded to direct me to the rack with the bridesmaid dresses I was not interested in. Again, I specified I was not there as a bridesmaid but as a wedding guest. I came to the store with a set decision to purchase, but after that experience I just had to leave and I don't think I would want to visit again. It is really disappointing especially since this is the location that I had my bridesmaids buy their dresses from a few years back and had a great experience. Please work on training your employees that customer service and to w customer experience should be a top priority. read more

Had a very strange experience . The sales associate was an older lady , which is great , until she got upset when she asked us what type of dress designs we like and then I told her and was meant with a cold shoulder. 2. I recently lost a lot of weight and was not sure about my size and was given one dress to try in 10. I was basically forced to buy a 100+ dollar dress in size 12 which obviously did not fit , it's very baggy and I will need to get that altered. Lastly they're not very reliable if you call and ask for the day the dress will arrive ( out of 6 girls only I wasn't told the date of arrival ) , you will be at the hands of the person who answers , only one male associate bothered looking at the tracking number and letting me know the dress would arrive the next day . Terrible customer service. I don't know what it is about this company or maybe the fact that it's a franchise that the customer service is terrible. I would not come here again for an future events. Went there the first time with the bride and her other bridesmaids, I was one of them. We spent a good hour looking for a bridesmaids dress for ourselves only to find out they didn't have the color the bride wanted. The Asian girl who was helping us said it was her first time working with a bridal party. We had asked her before picking our dresses if they had the specific color we were looking for and she said "yes" but obviously they didn't and we didn't get an apology from any staff there. None of the staffs here apologizes for anything. Then when I went back, I had a girl name Leslie telling me I should go up a size when I tried on a dress. The dress had fit perfectly but she kept telling me to go up a size. Wouldn't anyone find that rude!? When I went to go pick my bridesmaids dress, I wanted to try it on before I took it home. I had no one come help me with it. I stepped out of the dressing room to find someone to help me but no one was close by. Told the lady in the front there was a string that was not sewn on to the dress. She was short, tan skinned and wore glasses. She said the string was suppose to be like that and I didn't really need it because it only holds the ribbon. What? That doesn't even make sense!! I don't want my ribbon falling off the dress! I asked her to fix it and she gave me an attitude. Then someone else brought it back out to me. These people are not helpful and always has an attitude. They are very judgmental. I bought my dress about a month ago and the young girl helping me was wonderful. I believe she was new cause she kept having to ask someone about things but that's okay. Everyone has to learn. She was polite and attentive. She also helped me pick out shoes. I just had my fitting today a the lady that helped me was great. I just needed cups added and the waists and hips taken in. Showed up only for them to give our spot away to another group and completely ignore us even though we were early to our appointment. Horrible customer service and uninterested employees. If I could leave 0 stars, I would. $800 for my dress alterations, and 2 out of the 3 (bustle) buttons broke on my wedding day. I was only able to wear my dress for maybe 30 minutes. I paid over 2k for this dress that I loved and I couldn't even wear it. I even asked the tailors, "this will hold my dress and not break?" They confirmed that it would hold. Super disappointed. Thank goodness I had backup clothes. Highly recommend going somewhere else for alterations... maybe even a different store all together. read more

I bought my dress a size larger for the top. I was promised they could make it fit like the smaller one with just more room at the top. They pinned it correctly but sewed it way too small. From the point I complained, it became all about me, my undergarments (which were the same), my body style and my choice of dress. I was offered a new dress but only after they knew it couldn't be delivered in time. I was also offered $57 off of a $220 alterations bill when the dress was all wrong. On top of that, because of the comments made, I was self- conscious about the dress at my event. The joy of the event was stolen by their treatment of me. I reached out to the corporate office when I wasn't satisfied with the store results but only got the run around. Worse, Greg on the management take over team flat out lied to me every time we communicated- which by the way was only by text. No one would speak to me. They lied to the BBB that the situation was resolved when it was not. My entire experience with them was awful. Do not use David's Bridal because they do not stand behind their services. read more

Me and my mother had the worst experience at this location. Scheduled an alterations appt at 10am and arrived on time. Took 40 mins to be helped bc a walk-in with no appt was taken ahead of us. Why make an appointment if you do not honor them? Sales associate Sunshine was very rude to my mother. Never explained what the hold up was and and had the worst attitude like her day was completely ruined by having to talk to us, from the very beginning? An hour and a half later my mother had the alterations handled for the bottom hem! We DEFINITELY should have just gone to any of the many alteration places near by! I have been trying to make a return on a David's bridal order since MARCH when it arrived but all this covid stuff was already shutting businesses down. I tried to return by calling customer service in March and they said they can't help with in-store orders. I tried again in April and they sid stores won't be open again until sometime after May 1. Been trying ever since to call the Webster location and nobody answers the phone. Mind you, customer service isn't answering their 1-800 number either so I had to text with them, I have written word from them that none of the stores will be open til after May 1 and proof I've been trying to return this dress. FINALLY today I get someone on the phone and tell her I need to make this return. I go in store and the witch of a store manager says they can't return it "because it's past their return policy"... umm well you weren't open for me to return it and it wasn't for a lack of trying??? We came in on Sunday; shopping for a prom dress for my niece. We were greeted immediately when we walked in. They took our information and instructed my niece to pick out the dresses she wanted to try on and assigned a certain rack/number to her. Rosa was the consultant assigned to us. She was kind, patient, friendly & so helpful. My niece found the dress she wanted. It was a size four. It was stretched out from others trying it on but Rosa was able to order the gown for us in the size she needs & it will be here in plenty of time for her prom. Where do I start.. both times I visited this location the front desk associate wasn't welcoming. (Two-different girls). I arrive to get my dress altered which I thought was going to be two small alterations (lady who fitted me confirmed) Only to get charged $147 (discounted price) with rush fee waived because they were originally going to charge me around $187 with rush-fee! The lady who did my alterations knew I was upset & had the nerve to say "You have to pay today." I could of bought TWO more dresses! Are you kidding me! I could have ordered a smaller dress but it wouldn't have arrived in time for the wedding.The manager finally came over & basically said my dress was too big & that's why it's pricey.. so they fit you big to make money off of you is what I'm getting. Soo soo disappointing!! I live in Friendswood so thought this was very close and they specialize in brides so that would work. The sales lady was either completely ignorant of the dresses and fabrics or (more likely) she lied through her teeth to get my to buy the dress. I didn't know this when I bought it, but quickly learned the truth. My dress is a v-neck with a low back. The sales lady told me that cups could be added so that I didn't have to worry about a bra showing in the back. She also told me that a privacy panel could be added to the front so that I wouldn't have my girls all out at my classy wedding. Well, at the alterations, I was told that neither of those could be done!!The total alterations were more than $460! And I still have to find a low enough bra that works. Also, I had a 3pm appointment for the alterations. I was shown a fitting room and put on the dress and heels and then proceeded to wait for 45 minutes while she finished with someone else. I made small talk with the woman who was getting hemmed during MY appointment and she admitted to being 30 minutes late. So she completely bogarted my appt time and wasn't even bothered by it. So rude. Granted, this was mostly her fault, but DB should honor their appointments or at least let women know if it's going to take that long! I really wish I had gone someplace else to start with!!!!! This is kind of crap that makes normal women turn into bridezillas! read more

Really ?? I don't think so this wasn't like a day after this is 10 mins after they went to the car and came back in so he ask to see the dress and she wouldn't show it to him she called him names so 1st you don't insult a customer 2 you don't lie. I had to make my appt for alterations so don't give me that bullshit. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone else and of course I would file a complaint on this girl read more

I can't speak for all locations, but this one has the WORST customer service I've experienced In a while. Our consultant was very unprofessional and immature during our one hour appointment. She mentioned 20 minutes in "I need to text my boyfriend when this is over, I love when appointments end early, If I don't leave now I won't get a lunch break".... and more. She was trying to get us out of her hair ASAP and didn't even care to hide it. At the end of the appointment I asked her to pull down a dress off of a manikin. She shook her head "no" and said "my manager doesn't like pulling dresses off manikins and probably won't let me do it". I laughed and said "oh do I need to do it? " And she responded "yes because she will not be happy with me." Is it too much to ask of a dress store to pull a dress for me? My sister goes to ask the manager to pull the dress and she is clearly not having it. She complains how many pins there were in the dress, tells us we "should buy her french fries for her troubles" and then says " I'll only take it down if you buy it." To top it off, our consultant sees me about to try on the dress and mumbles "oh my god" under her breath as if we were taking too long for her liking. At first I thought it was just our consultant but after seeing the way the manager also acted towards us, I realized this was the standard here and decided I'd buy elsewhere. I've given this location a few chances and every time gets worse. They badly need to take a training on professionalism. read more

I am having a last minute backyard "shotgun" wedding. It doesn't require a major wedding dress, but DB had a bridesmaid dress I could get in ivory. I went to DB in the Galleria area and they didn't feel I could get the dress in time- they said at least 10 days. With expedited shipping I couldn't imagine that, so I had my sister call but even she with her powers of persuasion was told there was no way to get the dress in time. I called Sydney at DB Baybrook store and got a different story. Sydney explained that if I ordered the dress from DB online I could pay expedited shipping and get the dress in 2-4 business days! The only caveat was that she and the store would not received credit or commission for the sale. I am really impressed with Sydney and Baybrook for helping me. I got the dress in time- no thanks to Galleria store. This store truly is about helping people get what they really want- not just about padding their commissions. I will always suggest taking the extra drive out to Baybrook for any formal needs! read more

So immediately walking in the door the "sales person" (and I use this term loosely) was rude. We came in on a Saturday with 3 people to get bridesmaid dresses. We did not need personalized attention. We are self sufficient enough to look at racks of dresses with out someone holding our hands. She immediately asked us what occasion we were shopping for and then asked us if we had an appointment. When we responded no she immediately told us,". Well you are going to be waiting for a long time then." I guess she wanted us to leave and go elsewhere? So I asked if we can browse on our own and she got even more rude (which I didn't know was possible) and said well no one will help you with questions. Once again.... Did she expect us to go elsewhere? I wish I had her name, but she had no name tag on and the sales lady who did help us wouldn't give us her name. Fast forward to why I'm even giving this review 3 stars.... After finding dresses to try on a sales person named Claudia helped get us dressing rooms and answered question. (OMG we didn't have to wait on the stupid effin list!). Claudia was very apologetic for the rude "sales lady" and was able to help us with exactly what we needed. Back to negatives.... Claudia walked us up to the front register to get us checked out and Eric (another "sales person") snapped at her right in front of us about why we had all of our dresses and that Claudia should have just brought one. I was quick to inform him that we had done that, not Claudia who was busting her butt helping at least 3 parties all at the same time while little Ms Pissy Pants at the front was sitting there with her RBF snapping at people as they came in. Checking out was a nightmare. Eric left 5 minutes into check out and the older lady who completed our sale rang up our shoes incorrectly and had to be told several times which dress color and size for each of us (there was only three. And only 2had to be ordered you wouldn't think it would be hard). I won't be returning any time soon after picking up my dress. read more

Came to look at bridesmaid dresses with some my bridesmaids. I was all excited since any shopping trip with my friends is (almost) always fun. Before I went I made a list of my favs online like they told me when I made an appointment. What they didn't tell me was it takes several days for that to be available for them to look at. So I had to look at a chart to try to figure out which ones I had liked. It also took a while before the lady helped us. Throughout the trying on our helper would disappear for a while. We finally figured out that she was also helping someone find flower girl dresses. That wad really annoying since I had 4 bridesmaids with me ready to try on lots of dresses. There was also plenty of help at the front, maybe they could have handled the flower girl. The best part of the store is they do have a large selection of bridesmaids dresses, colors and sizes. My mom did buy her mother of the bride dress here. But I will send all my bridesmaids to other Davids Bridals if possible. This customer service was horrible. read more

He pulled all the wrong dress, then just handed me everything and told me to try them on. If I am buying a $1,000 plus dress the least you could do is HELP me get into the dresses. LOVED Chelcie! She is THE BEST!! I am an odd duck in that I prefer to shop by myself. Chelcie made shopping with someone FUN! I set up an appointment online, a feature I like a lot. Upon entering the salon, I was greeted with a smile and told Chelcie would be right with me. Chelcie left no stone unturned in helping me find my dream dress!! And we had fun accomplishing this task! The very last dress of, I lost count ... I pondered and dreamed about this dress overnight. Upon my return appointment the next day, I tried it on again and said, "YES!!" to the dress! I had previously gone to a DB in another state and had a few dresses that I lived but I went this time with my bridesmaid to get her dress. She requested that I try on my favorite dress and the sales people were reluctant. Finally they got it and the lady, Britney, handed it to me as is. Not even bothering to take it off the hanger or help me. My bridesmaid found her dress and offered to purchase the 800 dollar Vera Wang as a wedding present. I was overwhelmed. The employee asked if I wanted to see headpieces. We both said yes. Britney just sat there and never got them. After a few ackward minutes I changed into my clothes. My bridesmaid found a dress, no help from anyone. It was an overall awful experience. I felt unwanted. They missed out on a fairly big purchase (dress, headpiece, shoes) due to their unwelcoming and unprofessional attitudes. I won't be back. read more

The workers here have awful attitudes and certainly seem to be unconcerned with the affairs of the customers. They gather in groups and huddle together discussing their lunch breaks while people wait to be assisted. The manner in which we were spoken to was very rude on BOTH occasions that we came into this establishment, I am still not quite sure why we went back a second time. Customers are mishandled whether they have an appointment or do not, as I have visited this shop under both circumstances. Thank God impression bridal is only a few minutes away from this place, immediately after leaving David's bridal, having wasted 45 minutes, we walked into impression bridal and found the wedding dress within the first 10 minutes. read more

The only thing I would change about my trip is being able to spend more time with her and try different styles instead of just the ones I had on my list.
