The entire process was done online. Phuong communicates flawlessly. She was able to create a beautiful vision for my wedding gown. Then she executed it and shipped it to me all so quickly (~3-4 months). Everyone was so amazed at my beautiful ao dai! Many of the statements PMN made in her previous reply are (once again) misleading, incorrect, and completely ignores the main point of concern, which is that she is reselling my dress. Nowhere in our exchanges did I ask for her to promise not to drop my project, nor did I even mention the nature of my relationship with the previous designer that I was in initial conversations with. While the work that she and her team had put into the dress was much appreciated, there was additional time incurred correcting the mistakes that were made on her side. There was also additional work spent on my side to identify and correct her mistakes, in spite of my clear instructions. PMN (falsely) advertises a service that will create a custom "one of a kind dress," but by reselling it, she contradicts her claim. Nowhere on her website states any offering of exclusivity as an a la carte charge nor had it come up in our exchanges, so it is natural to believe her own words of creating a "one of a kind" dress. Every vendor that I had worked with on my wedding explicitly asked for my permission before posting any of their work from my wedding on their websites. It is a shame that PMN still stands by her misleading practices in spite of the contradiction that I have pointed out. Future brides looking to engage with her through this service will likely face a similar outcome as me. I was thrilled with my bridal ao dais (white/cream for my ceremony and a red one for the reception). I loved that they weren't cookie cutter ones like what you'd find on Etsy and even Vietnamese bridal shops that ship directly from Vietnam. And Phuong was always responsive and truly collaborated with me to get the ao dais just right. I also visited her shop in Texas (run by family) - everyone was so gracious and polite. I was also very impressed by the quality and fabrics of all her dresses and ao dais. Untrustworthy and extremely disappointed. I put a deposit on a sample dress during COVID. Unfortunately, marriage needed to be postponed a few years. However, the owner (Phuong Minh Nguyen) and I were in contact over the years, and now she refuses to answer any of my emails to pay the remainder of my balance and send me my dress. I still have all of the emails. What'a worse is she updated the policies on her website to now say no refunds etc. which wasn't there when I initially put a deposit down. I was looking for an ao dai wedding dress and luckily I came across Dream Dresses by Phuong Minh. I loved the top to one and the bottom of another. I found Phuong through a google search and was instantly drawn to her portfolio on instagram. Her work is GORGEOUS, and she created a modern wedding dress with Vietnamese ao dai elements unique to me. Based on my vision, she made lovely sketches, which she gifted to me with my garment, and executed them to perfection. All while she was working out of Arizona, and I was planning a Seattle wedding from New York. The estimated arrival date was a bit later than expected, largely because of Phuong's care and attention to detail, but I had plenty of time for alterations prior to the wedding. Phuong was wonderful to work with! I found Dream Dresses by PMN searching social media as I was looking for a high-quality US designer for my wedding ao dai. She totally captured a design that was uniquely me by looking through my photo inspiration looks. It was so easy to go back and forth with Phuong to get the design just right. Taking measurements and working with her completely virtual, Phuong paid attention to and checked each detail - when the measurements for my pants length seemed off, she reconfirmed with me. The ao dai was completed and shipped to me within the timeframe originally estimated and was even better in person than I imagined - and even fit absolutely perfectly, all I needed my tailor to do was add a bustle. I got married in May 2020, but with Covid-19, had to postpone the larger celebration to 2021, so I actually get to wear my ao dai twice! I stumbled on her website just by googling and when I found THE dress I was excited to find that she was also in the Pacific Northwest. Every interaction I had with her through the entire process of buying my dress was warm and also professional. I was searching for the perfect dress and Dream Dresses by PMN delivered! I first started shopping at local boutiques, yet every dress I tried on had me "settling" in some way, none had all the features I wanted, so I decided to find someone to make my "dream dress" for me. I couldn't try it on, since I am located across the country from this designer, and I wouldn't see it until about a month before my wedding, so it was a risky choice in bridal world!
