My wedding is in 9 days and needed a wedding dress asap... let me explain what happened I ordered one super cheap on amazon and it was ok it in love with it... then lost 40 lbs and went to get altered and they waned $433!! Not at David's bridal though. So I said to myself I'm not in love with with dress I could buy one I love for the same price... and I did!!! Gwen helped me out and was perfect!! My second dress she selected was the dress!! I am so happy! And Christina was super nice and helped with any discounts! I was super surprised to find a dress here!! read more

I came in on a weekday early afternoon and was helped by Sarah. She was lovely and very eager to help choose a wedding dress. I also came alone with the intention of trying a ton of styles and just taking pictures to narrow it down when I bring my friends/family. She was very encouraging and asked good questions to help narrow down our selection. Unfortunately, I fell in love with a dress not at David's Bridal, but that's not the store nor Sarah's fault. I would recommend this location to a friend! It also helped I was the only customer in the store, so it did not feel stuffy or awkward standing in front of strangers. Timing is everything on your appointment. Do be aware that they sell your contact info to vendors. That's a pretty big downfall. I got 2 emails and a few phone calls from wedding vendors a few days later. read more

I've been to a couple David's Bridal in my time. I'm along for the ride as The Wife goes and gets fitted for her bridesmaid dress. I can't really comment much on the service. I was nearby when The Wife was asked if she had a fitting room. I thought that was a nice touch. The employee just walked up to her and asked to make sure she'd have one when she needed to try something on. It kind of is chaotic in there, but it's not like everyone's running around with their arms in the air, yelling bloody murder. It's just a lot of people in there. It was a Sunday afternoon around 2 and I'd say there were probably at least 20 people, maybe even 30 people in there. I stood with The Wife for about 5-10 minutes and then looked for a place to sit. I walked up to the "welcome desk" and asked them if I could sit on the tall chairs near the entrance. "Sure! Be my guest! It'll only cost $5/hour." She went further to say that if I was going to wait long, I could go to a nearby restaurant that had sports on the TVs and had a bar. I thought that was super nice. I was waiting for a phone call, so I just took a seat and played some Squiggly Sudoku. Later, I needed to use the restroom. The restroom is nice and clean. I think it's not used as much as the ladies restroom, so it should be cleaner... Who knows. It's in the back behind the curtain next to dressing room 8. I suppose if I was getting married and was trying to get everything I wanted from a store that tries to cater to the masses, maybe I'd give this place 1 star too, but it seemed just fine to me. The Wife said that it was busy and it took away from the personal service you'd get if it weren't so busy, but all-in-all, it was fine. Not excellent but she got the job done. read more

When I started planning my wedding, I didn't think my dress was that important. I figured whatever looks good, I will take! I valued other areas more such as photography and food. Let's just say that my visit was not what I expected. My first experience was above and beyond my expectations! The lady that helped me try on my dresses was wonderful, friendly, and very positive. When I tried on the dress that I ended up purchasing, tears ran down my cheeks! I knew it was the one and definitely outside of my price range. I had to have it! I went in for two fittings and all day was great at explaining everything that needed to be done. Of course anything wedding is expensive but you pay for the quality of service, and my Opinion. Alba and the rest of the staff was great! I happened to speak with Christina, the store manager, when I came in to pick up my dress. she educated me on the designer, helped me with my shoes, jewelry etc. she was more than helpful! My daughter and I went to Davids Bridal in Frisco on a Friday around noon. Our consultant and designer was Megan and she was very friendly professional and extremely knowledgeable about what looked good on my daughter and how to accessorize the look perfectly. Store manager Barbara also very nice in the whole atmosphere very upbeat and friendly. Very down to earth folk here no haughtiness for snobbery just nice people trying to help. Also they had a great selection in large sizes which was pretty amazing. Can't recommend Megan enough if you go in you should ask for her for sure read more

I needed to order a bridesmaid dress, so I called. It had been awhile since I tried the dress on, so the person I spoke to advised that I come in to try it once more before I ordered. I made an appointment for about 5 days later. When I arrived for my appointment, they had trouble finding the dress and size in my file. That wasn't a huge deal, but when we finally found the dress, they did not have it in my size. Therefore, my appointment was uneccessary. This wasn't too big of an inconvenience, but since I did make an appointment multiple days in advance, they could have had my dress ready for me to try on. Had I known they didn't have the dress, it would have saved me a trip. read more

This store has a number of serious issues. First, when the staff realized that I wasn't spending a fortune in their store, they hardly noticed me. I already had my dress and needed only a few accessories including shoes. The pair I selected, called the MacKenzie style, seemed fine in the store when tried with bare feet. I ordered my correct size and had them dyed ivory. ON THE MORNING of my wedding, I discovered that because of the way the shoe is designed, they wouldn't stay on my feet when wearing nylons. I was never advised to try them on with nylons. My wedding was ruined because I had to dig up a semi-suitable pair of shoes from my closet. After my wedding I returned the shoes. The next problems are with the return policies and the store clerk attitudes. The staff told me that I couldn't have a refund, only store credit, because I had the shoes dyed. They didn't care about the design flaw or that my day was ruined. I didn't even get so much as an apology. I will never do business with them again. read more

I went to this David's Bridal hoping to find a bigger selection. Unfortunately all I did was waste my time. I was told to bring in the style numbers I wanted, but the consultant I was paired with didn't seem to be able to find them. She didn't understand what kind of dress I was looking for, even after explaining it. I told her my budget and she kept picking dresses WAY over it. To start off, I was extremely hesitant about David's Bridal. It didn't seem like I would get a special feeling there or experience. I went their yesterday snd tried on countless dresses. My mom, my friend and I then went to other boutiques and actually had pretty let down experiences at the two boutiques. I worked with Daniella at David's Bridal and she was amazing. Amazing doesn't really do her justice. I didn't want a traditional wedding dress and she was such a trooper. I loved one of the dresses I tried on that morning but wasn't sure. So after the two failed boutique experiences, I went back to David's Bridal with a more open mind. They quickly got me in last minute on a Saturday and with Daniella!!! I ended up falling in love with the original dress and she made all my worries go away. I can't recommend her or this location more. Give this woman a raise!! read more

I scheduled an appointment for last Saturday at 3:30. I was greeted when I arrived in the store and asked to wait just a few minutes, which gave me time to look around a bit, before my consultant was ready. This also gave time for my bridesmaids to show up. :) Nia McCullough was my consultant and she was absolutely fantastic! She was attentive and very helpful in putting and taking off dresses. Dear David's Bridal Customer Service, I have just returned home from helping my sister-in-law purchase her wedding dress, an event that is traditionally full of dreams and whimsy. However, I am literally shaking with rage at the way she was neglected and mishandled by your company's sales force at the David's Bridal in Frisco, Texas (Store number 0045 at 121 and Preston Road). Alicia made an appointment for 4/22/12 at 2 p.m. to try on wedding dresses. She, the bridesmaids and the mothers all arrived on time for the appointment full of excitement and joy at this special time. We were told that our sales person Barbara was "just finishing up with a previous appointment" and would we mind waiting five minutes. After 20 minutes of waiting aimlessly, I went in search of the one gown that my sister-in-law had deemed as the one she wanted. I found it and found her size. I escorted her back to her dressing room that was labeled with her name and wedding date. I found a passing sales associate who was more than happy to find the appropriate under garment to try on with the dress (I wish I had caught her name as she was the only person in this shop who was helpful in any way). Only after we had Alicia in her dress did Barbara "swing by" to see how we were doing. Because the dress of Alicia's desire was not the correct size, Barbara asked a few questions to see if there was another dress she could find that might fit a little better. After trying on this dress, Alicia knew that her first choice was what she wanted for her special day. Barbara was on her second "circle by" (Barbara kept using the terms "swing by" and "circle through" throughout our entire appointment, never making Alicia a priority or focusing on her appointment time) when we told her that BR1016 was the dress we wanted to order. Barbara scurried off to place the order and "circled by" four more times giving us the excuses of overrides and not having enough time to order the dress before the Oct. 27, 2012 (six months) wedding date. Finally, Barbara came to me and my mother-in-law to tell us the bad news of the wedding dress being discontinued in size 16W. She told us the "good news" was that the dress Alicia tried on could be let out that small amount and that it would only cost $50. For that deal we all agreed it could be altered to perfection. Barbara even said, "Don't use our [David's Bridal] alterations because they are a rip off." My mother and sister-in-law went to check out with her dream dress in hand. They waited in line for 20 minutes only to find out that the dress was not going to be $50, as Barbara had said, but rather $193.77. I was standing off to the side and did not hear this or it would never have gotten this far to me writing a letter in complete and utter disgust at such a blatant bait and switch con perpetrated by your sales force. We were standing outside on the sidewalk and Alicia seemed distraught and my mother-in-law was explaining that the 16W that we wanted to order was discontinued but because the sample dress that we purchased was a 16 (not 16W) that it was full price. I returned into the store with the dress and the receipt and told the manager Soraya and Barbara that this was a shady practice and that they were going to honor the promised price of $50. They told me that because my mother-in-law and sister-in-law had gone ahead and purchased the dress that they would not refund the difference. I was so angry at this that I called Barbara a liar and I raised my voice. For that I am sorry for embarrassing my family. However, Alicia and Kathy are extremely shy women who would never make waves in a situation like this even if they felt that they were mistreated and conned. I however, am not that kind of woman. I do not stand for mistreatment of anyone! I am writing to request that the corporate office of David's Bridal please refund the difference of the price my mother-in-law paid from what she should have been charged with tax on $50. I went two days in a row to appointments to try and find a bridesmaid dress for a wedding I'll be in this summer. I had to go the second day because of confusion about dresses at the first appointment. With my second appointment I had the privilege of working with Jackie. She went above and beyond to help me and find different dresses she thought I might like. She was so helpful and very attentive. She has a wonderful personality and was so fun to work with. This is such a terrible place, and I'm not surprised they are on the verge of going bankrupt. I had seen my best friend get married, and after seeing all the trouble she went through on her wedding day, I know I didn't trust them with my wedding dress, and after my experience with my bridesmaids dresses I'm glad I didn't. I took all of my bridesmaids (except for one) to try on dresses and see what they liked. An Asian girl helped us out but I forgot her name. She seemed very confused, and like she didn't know what she was supposed to be doing. She didn't give any suggestions or ask questions, just kind of let us run the show. She wrote down all my bridesmaids names and contact info on a sheet, where she supposedly wrote what dresses they wanted. When all was set and done and they had decided what they wanted, we all left. Since they had to pay right then and there to place an order, no one ordered that day. Fast forward to when some dresses are in.. apparently one of my bridesmaids came in first, but was never notified it was in. They were all told at the initial try on that they would be emailed or called when it was in. She was not contacted in either way. Finally when she was out of town on a business trip, they called her and threatened her, saying if she didn't come pick it up that day, they would have to get rid of it. They offered to ship it to her but it would be at her expense. She tried to explain to them she never received any previous notice about it being ready, and that she was on a business trip and could not get it. They told her that was her only option. She called me very upset and I called them. They told me I could come get it, which I didn't have time to do that day because I was working until 11:00pm. Finally after talking to 3 different "managers," I was able to convince them to hold onto it for another week. Then when I went to ask to confirm about my other bridesmaids dresses just to make sure that would go smoothly, they had no record of ANY of my bridesmaids in their system! Only my maid of honor who had ordered her dress in person. I told them that the lady who helped us that day had taken all of their contact information, and when I told them who it was that helped us, the manager said, "oh her! She shouldn't actually be working on the sales floor, because she isn't experienced." Then WHY would you have her assigned to us?!?! I was furious by that point, and almost cancelled all orders, but since some were already ordered, I didn't.. My other bridesmaids continuously throughout that whole process of a few months had to re give their names and phone numbers and emails. Super annoying! One of my bridesmaids even had to get the dress off their rack because their size suddenly became unavailable... All in all, I was hesitant about David's bridal to begin with, but figured with bridesmaid dresses, it would be safe. NOPE! Save yourself a headache and go 5 min up the road to Winnie Couture! That's where I got MY dress (thank God) and it was perfect! read more

This store is a mess. Everyone who works here is a mess. I've been here a total of 3 times and it never gets better. The first time was to help my daughter pick out a wedding dress. The woman at the door is rude and the red head who helped us was SO rude. She didn't like my input or suggestions I was giving my daughter. She felt like she had to keep firing back at me and I wasn't even speaking to her! Then we went to pick up the dress my daughter ordered and we walked in the door and there was no one to be found! We found one woman and she put her in a dressing room and told her "If you need help then ask the alterations lady". We never found the alterations lady! I decided to walk in the Frisco store one more time to try and find a dress for myself and what a nightmare! The woman at the door is so rude and staff on the floor we're gossiping and complaining about other employees out loud! Everyone could here them. The energy in the store sucks. They made what should have been a joyous day the Worst experience! *overbook appts. Place is a literal zoo! Brides waiting in line to see in the mirrors! *Sales person was rude and made reference to my daughters weight several times *Salesperson did not know how to use clips to fit a dress *Left waiting in the dressing room for over 20 minutes *Salesperson bad mouthed Alfred Angelo to us. Our salesperson made my bride to be daughter cry and she's a tough cookie, We had an apointment and were prepared with an idea of what dresses to look at. Our Salesperson brought 2 dresses. Both were 3 dress sizes too small. Neither could even be put on. We waited 20 min and I finally had to go find someone. The sales woman finally showed up and went in the dressing room with my daughter. When salesperson came out I noticed my daughter was teary eyed but said she was fine. I finally got it out of my daughter what was wrong. She told me that her salesperson kept making references to her size. "we don't have dresses for bigger girls" "the styles you want would not look good on someone heavier" etc..... REALLY! My daughter was a size 18! Are you kidding since when did size 18 women stop getting married? I don't care what your size a bride is beautiful and deserves to feel that way! Her maid of honor was also there and confirmed what was said. I found the manager voiced my thoughts and we promptly left. My daughter would not even go near a bridal shop for 2 months! Since then we looked other places and have had wonderful experiences. My daughter dropped 2 dress sizes. She found the perfect dress at Alfred Angelo. David's Bridal lost not only the sale of a $1200 wedding gown to Alfred Angelo but 4 bridesmaid dresses, 1 junior bridesmaid dress, two flower girl dresses and the mother of the bride gown. read more

Our assistant showed us the colors they had & told us to go pick out which style dress we all liked. After we had already picked out the styles we liked (we all got different dresses), we went up to the counter to order them & they told us they didn't come in the colors we wanted. Even though our assistance already told us they did. At this time one of the bridesmaids already ordered her dress, & was told she couldn't "return" it. After browsing different bridesmaid dresses I made my way over to the weeding gowns just to see what they had. I found this one gown I thought was so beautiful I had to try it on. One of the ladies up front mention that they could try to see if someone could help me try it on. Teagan was so sweet and made me feel so special I could not have asked for a better wedding fitting than this. I got my wedding dress for my October wedding from this location. I visited once for dress shopping (bought the 4th dress I tried on), another time for accessories (bought a bra, shoes, and a sash), once with my bridesmaids to buy all of their bridesmaids dresses, and then twice more for alterations. I was super happy with my dress, the bridesmaids dresses, and the alterations department. The alteration women worked some magic on my dress, knew exactly what I wanted, and did it for a reasonable price ( I think around $175 in total for a hem and 3 point bustle on lace). In all the times I was in the store I was not happy with the stylists who helped me. When I went in to buy my wedding dress, the stylist did not ask my budget, the location of the wedding (indoor/outdoor), or really anything about what I was looking for. She did a better job of listening to me once we started trying things on, but the first few dresses were totally random. The next visit was for my bridesmaids. When we first arrived someone was called up to the front to help us, but before we even moved past the front counter a different stylist came up and said we were supposed to be her clients. Well we had been given to someone else because the stylist we were scheduled to be with was still with her previous appointment. So we were basically left to our own devices while this lady tried to juggle two appointments. We pulled dresses for ourselves and were looking for specific things we couldn't find. When we needed dressing rooms, the stylist was no where to be found. She put my maid of honor in a tiny bra that came no where near to perfect and wouldn't go get a different size for her. It was so bad that we tried to go get a different stylist. Its an extra shame since we know from when we arrived that someone else was available to help us, but the lady we were scheduled with was so determined to get her commission that it made for a really bad experience. Obviously I wasn't too put out by the service since I ended up buying so many things here but I was fairly disappointed in the whole customer service experience there. I was picturing a "Say yes to the dress" experience going dress shopping and was so excited about this part of wedding planning that I bought a dress before we even had a venue, but David's Bridal definitely didn't live up to my expectations. They have great things in stock, but I think it would have been more pleasant to just shop without help. They also lost my sash. I ordered it online since they didn't have the juniper color in stock. Several months after I was supposed to pick it up, I realized I still didn't have it and called. They claimed someone else picked it up and they didn't have it any more. They ended up ordering a new one for me, but just another point of wedding stress. read more

Just bought my wedding dress, I am in LOVE. DELANEY was helping me, 100% recommend asking for her when you come in. She completely understood my style, and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. I had gone to previous bridal shops and they had me try on dresses before discussing prices, which I appreciated about Delaney, she asked about budget before pulling dresses for me. Something I experienced here that I didn't at other places was the styling. She immediately had a vision in her head of my venue and color scheme and did things like had bridesmaid color dresses next to me, had me have shoes on while I was trying on dresses, which I appreciate because I realized the shoes I thought I wanted with my dress were a little uncomfortable. I have never been treated more poorly in any store ever in my life. I made my appointment for a bridal fitting 2 wks prior to my appointment day. I showed up to my appointment on time and then had to wait 30 minutes for my attendant to become available. As I was walking up to the registration stand to find out where my attendant was, I hear my attendant (I didn't know it was her at the time) ask where the dressing rooms are to the woman at the registration desk. Clearly there is a lack of training at this store, on top of a lack of good customer service. After the attendant walked me around the front of the store to give me a "tour" at which time she did not tell me anything except this where you can find out about the other vendors we work with, she took me back to where the dressing rooms are located. I had also set up a "wedding party" appointment so that my maid of honor, who was with me, could try on some bridesmaid dresses. The attendant showed me my dressing room but did not say one word to my maid of honor...not hello, this is your room, or anything. Which I thought was really rude. The fitting went REALLY poorly. The attendant picked out dresses that looked not at all like the descriptions I gave her. Every dress she pulled for me were size 22 or more (I am size 10) and on top of that she did nothing to pin me into them in order to provide a more accurate view of the dress on my body. My maid of honor and my mom were literally standing behind me pulling the fabric of dress closer to my body so we could attempt to see what the dress would look like if it fit. The attendant would just stand there staring at us like we were crazy for trying to see an accurate picture of the dress. If you have never done a dress fitting before, the attendant will ask you when you put on a different dress what you think about the dress and to rate it from 1-10. My best opinion was an 8. Then the attendant asks "What will make this dress a 10"? This is the dumbest question...obviously the answer is "Not this dress"!!! Because the attendants work on such a huge commission they are obviously most interested in selling a dress SO my attendant put me back into the dress I gave an 8 (because that is the only one that was even remotely close to what I have envisioned) and said "we can always add things to this dress with alterations, so just let me know what you need and I will go get the alteration attendant to come over here and advice you." So I go through a few things that might help and my attendant went to get the alterations attendant. When the alterations attendant started looking at the dress and asking me what I would like to do different and I was explaining to her what I would like the only response the alterations attendant said was "Ohh, well, we can not do that...that would be too expensive, etc, etc!!" This was ABSURD to me for so many reasons. The alterations attendant had the nerve to tell me that she could not even hem the dress because it would be too expensive!!! WHAT!! First off, I have NO BUDGET for my dress (which I told my attendant in the first place)! Second, if you can not hem a dress WHAT CAN YOU DO...that seems like the simplest of things an alterations specialist should be able to do. And third, do not come over to me and tell me all of the things you can not do for a dress that I am only rating an 8 to begin with!!! All of these things above are not even the worst of my experience!! When I told the attendant that I was not buying today because it was literally my first day to ever try on a dress she asked me to make an appointment with her to come back. I told her that I could not make an appointment because my mom had to come up from San Antonio in order to see what dress I end up picking, etc. I obviously want my mom to be there with me when I pick my wedding dress. The attendant had the nerve to tell me that it was not important for my mom to be there and that I could make the decision on my own!!! COULDN'T BELIEVE IT...wanted to cry!!!! This experience not only made me want to not do wedding dress shopping ever again...it made me lose sleep the following night!! Love these ladies!!! They remember me everytime I come in:) We always have great girl talk and tons of giggles Josephina is some kind of alterations magician. Daniella is an angel! She has been so helpful and exhibited a lot of patience and a positive attitude. She is so genuine. Loretta cracks me up and is full of positive energy. Eh, you get why you pay for in terms of dresses and quality of service. DB reads rather "cheap" to me both in regard to the quality of dresses and quality of service. I was left with pins in my dress as my seamstress kept walking away. I was treated like I was stupid because I am very thorough in my questions and have high expectations of the kind of service and experience I want. I would recommend brides go elsewhere. The extra money is worth better service and better quality products. read more

While I didn't ultimately find my gown here, I was extremely impressed with the customer service. Becky was super helpful and not overly and annoyingly pushy like other places. I've heard such mixed reviews on David's Bridal, especially about the service but I was thoroughly impressed with Becky! She should get eleven gold stars. read more

I made an appointment to shop for a wedding dress and a dress for my mother. We went in on a very busy Saturday afternoon, and we arrived early, so we did have to wait about fifteen minutes to meet with the consultant. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, though, and were welcomed to look through the bridal party dresses for items for my mom. As we started to gather items, an associate named Nicole came over to us and asked if we needed a fitting room and to take our items back for us so that we didn't have to hold them while we were looking. We thanked her and said yes, and that we were just waiting for our appointment time. Nicole immediately went to check on the status of my appointment, and came back to let us know that she was going to be helping us as my original consultant was still with the appointment before me. She showed us back to a room right away, and made sure to place my mom and I next to each other, and then went to get our information. While we were waiting, my mom went ahead and started trying on some of the styles that we had picked out. We are both plus size ladies, and not only were there dresses in the right size to try on, but there were several styles that fit and looked nice. When Nicole got back to us, she was able to help my mom identify the styles that she liked and didn't like, and then come up with a couple more dresses to try. She was very helpful talking us through the styles and options of the dresses, and my mom found a dress that she really liked (and it was not at all what she would have picked for herself!) Then it was my turn. I felt that Nicole really listened to my ideas, and all of the dresses that I tried on during the appointment were picked by Nicole based on what I said that I wanted. Nicole picked the first dress that I tried on - a simple A-line that I had originally looked past. But Nicole put me in the dress and then went and grabbed several belts and sashes for me to try on with it - it completely transformed the dress! Suddenly the very simple A-line was a chic, modern, and glamorous wedding gown. She even brought me the perfect shoes to match it! She has an absolute gift for picking out exactly what you are asking for, even going so far as to create the perfect dress using accessories. Since this was my first time trying on any wedding dresses, I did not end up purchasing that day. However, I am planning on going back in for a second appointment with Nicole and bringing my bridesmaids with me, because I know that she will help us find the perfect dresses! I have to say that this has not been my first David's Bridal experience, and I have been to this location in the past to shop for formals and special occasion dresses. I have always had a good experience here, but this time I had to leave a review because Nicole really was a wonderful consultant and anyone buying a dress at DB is lucky to get an appointment with her! read more

Definitely go in and see Becky. She made my experience at David's Bridal so wonderful. My parents were in town visiting one weekend and we went in so my mom could be there when I tried on dresses the first time. The next time I went I made sure to see Becky again. She gave the most thoughtful speech and made me feel like my mom was there with me during that special time. I never thought I would find a dress there but I was pleasantly surprised!
