This location is MUCH better then the location on 1960 in Houston/Spring and the one in Austin on Research Blvd (183). Those other two locations would get 0 starts if I could give 0. As for the San Felipe Location I have never had a problem making an appointment. They see you on time. Even when it's busy the bridal consultant helps you (and the other bride if she has one). This is important if you go by yourself. Now the experience you have does greatly depend on the consultant. They all are fairly friendly and nice. They can take a while in finding what you want/need but they do find what you are looking for and happy with the selections they bring. I went 4-5 years ago for my wedding dress shopping and bridesmaid shopping at San Felipe. Before and During Thanksgiving & alone and with a group. Most recent was a month ago with my best friend who is getting married. She was visiting from Austin and did prefer this location over the one in NY & Austin. read more

My experience at David's Bridal was disenchanting to say the least. I booked a Saturday appointment at a store in the Houston Galleria area, which was a mistake. It was a zoo and difficult to even interact with the three ladies I brought with to help me. My attendant was helpful and I did pick a dress, but it was not the relaxed, fun setting I had hoped for. I went in for alterations in Houston a couple of months later. The woman in alterations was very sweet and helpful, but the woman at the counter was very rude to me. She was frustrated that she did not understand some of the notes written by the woman in alterations and when I tried to explain some of them I was snapped at. It took over 20 minutes just to have things rung up, as I watched her bicker with the sweet woman from alterations. I asked about having the dress shipped from the Houston location to the Westminster (Denver) location for steaming to simplify our to do list closer to the wedding. They won't. They will ship to any address for free, but not to another store. Incredibly strange and very inconvenient as a customer that has just forked out a lot of money on dress and accessories. So, I shipped the dress to a close friend in the Denver area who brought the dress in to the Westminster location to have it steamed before the big day. She told me that the women at the Westminster store were also very rude to her. Picking up my dress from the Westminster location was no issue, but it was already paid for and I didn't have to interact with any of the sales ladies - only alterations. I have no intentions of taking my dress here to have it preserved after the multiple instances of horrible service. Overall, I was very dissatisfied and would not recommend ANY David's Bridal. Unfortunately, the sales staff has the last interaction with the customer, therefore leaving the most lasting impression of the business. The attendant and the alterations women get a 4.5/5 stars for service, but the sales staff at the counter don't even get 1/5 in my opinion. Wish I could give this place 0 stars. The staff sits around chatting and only helps when you ask. They don't have any selection for anyone that is plus size and won't bother to help you look. My stylist was Huyen, she started off very nice but her attitude and mood quickly changed after I did not like about 6 dresses that I had tried on. She didn't even want to help me put on the dresses, I kept having to ask her for assistance unzipping and unbuttoning gowns. How did I find my still very single self in a bridal shop yet again? Ah yes, another one of my besties decided to tie the knot, and being the great friend that I am, I agreed to be a bridesmaid. She picked out her bridesmaid dresses from David's Bridal. This is the closest and seems like only location near my apartment. It's very easy to find considering it is right next to the highway. Naturally, I don't want to spend any more time than absolutely necessary in a bridal shop and at this location I didn't have to. I went in one evening after work to be fitted for the "long light brown dress" my friend had picked out (I was a bit skeptical, but it actually turned out to be very pretty). I was greeted as soon as I entered and the girl was very helpful. She found the correct dress right away, I tried it on for size, we ordered, I paid, DONE. They told me it would be 3-4 weeks before it came in but the dress actually arrived in 2 weeks. When I came to pick it up I was helped quickly again and was out of there in no time. I went yesterday to check out bridal gowns with my sister. Yes, I had made an appointment online - fairly early (I think) at 11am. Appointment windows are 2 hour blocks. This has been my first (and only) stop in the hunt. I was pleasantly surprised. They were busy - but not overwhelmingly so that it was chaotic. Everyone tends to put a negative label on them - but I definitely had a great experience here! I brought in a few pictures but didn't really have a particular style in mind - so the large variety of styles they have, was great for me. Also, my assistant Abbie - was fantastic! This was my first time trying on and she was really kind and helpful. What I initially thought was the style I was going for didn't end up looking good on me, but Jasmine was able to steer me in the right direction. I sort of figured that David's Bridal would have their stuff together and do a better job of organizing, scheduling, and making sure customers have good overall experiences. My friends and I came for a Saturday morning/ afternoon appointment. It was a freaking madhouse there. It was almost like they overbooked the place, didn't have enough workers, and didn't have people who knew what they were doing. The woman helping us was nice-ish, but she was definitely overwhelmed and not that helpful in finding us styles we wanted. Also, their "you can't pull off the racks; we want you to point to a picture and we'll see if we have it" system seems really inefficient and just plain pointless. It wasn't the worst experience I've ever had (see my review for Lily's Bridal & Gifts in Chicago), but it was definitely enough to impact any future decisions to shop here. read more

The staff were wonderful when I was trying on dresses with my mom and my sister there. They were very patient with me and kind, especially knowing that I was going to have my wedding ceremony without my dad. Suzanne was just incredible. The alterations department was HORRIBLE. I'm used to wearing corsets and when I went to order my spanks, the alterations ladies kept telling me I needed a larger size. Which was frustrating for me because I did not want to be rude. I also didn't want them accidentally screwing up my dress. The bustle was only supposed to have a single button, but the lady pressured me into something I didn't want. 500 dollars later I had my dream dress, but alterations were a headache that I did not need. read more

Well - the bride did find her dress here and purchase it. But I must admit that it wasn't the best experience for me - the friend. I figured that since she was getting married for the first time and hopefully the only time - the dress does have to be perfect. I understand that may be a difficult task but it is her wedding dress. After tell the clerk what we liked she brought a couple of dresses and we weren't sold on either of them but we told her that we did like certain things about each of the dresses. She promptly told us that we were going to have to settle because we would not be able to find the "perfect dream dress." So when I first got engaged, my first place to go dress shopping was David's Bridal. I found the dress of my dreams (or so I thought) and purchased it then even though I was getting married for another year. I got such a great deal on the dress and the staff was so accommodating I thought it was the right thing to do. A year goes by and I'm thinking, I should probably try my dress on. I put the dress on and it doesn't fit! I was so upset because I hadn't gained weight and I ordered it in the same size from when I tried it on in the store. I didn't know what to do. I called the store and they said "all sales are final". I wasn't even really in love with my dress and I had been looking at other gowns, it's not at all what I thought I wanted. I decided to bring my dress in and talk with a manager to see what they could do. The manager said I could exchange for another size or buy another dress but I had to spend the same amount of money if not more. Done deal, not a problem. I was so happy that I could find a dress for me! I ended up finding a beautiful gown and still stayed within my budget. My dress arrived on time and I tried it on as soon as I received it. The alterations process was great. The ladies back there were so nice and accommodating. I was so pleased with my purchase from David's. I had several other issues that happened like they ordered the wrong bra (three times!) not willing to refund my sash that I had purchased with my original dress, not helping me and my bridesmaids try on dresses, etc. However, I was pleased with how they handled the issues and how they addressed them. My experience at David's Bridal was GREAT...for the most part. Jayne and Ebony were AWESOME! All I had to do was say what I think I may want to try and one of them found something to fulfill my requests. These ladies worked very hard and had many suggestions to help me pick the perfect dress for the big day. They made me feel special and had many suggestions. It was obvious they love what they do. These ladies deserve 5 stars by themselves. Many of the other staff members I encountered deserve 1 star or 0 stars. Annie, who I later overheard is the manager, was helpful at the beginning. She let me know I was a walk in and she'd try to get me in at 3:00 pm between appointments. I let her know I'd just hang out for those 30 minutes and look around, which she said was perfectly fine. I went to the hostess stand at 3:05 and asked Stephanie, who was standing there, if she could please check and see if they were able to fit me in. Not looking from her computer she said "I have a 4:30". I advised her I was told they may be able to fit me in by a lady so I just wanted to follow up on that. I was only able to point out Annie because I did not know her name at the time and she wouldn't make eye contact. Again, Stephanie said "I have a 4:30". I said okay I'm not sure we're understanding one another and explained again that I was told by someone they may be able to fit me in at 3:00. I again pointed out Annie and again she did not make eye contact. ) Again, Stephanie said "I have a 4:30" but this time she added "I may be able to get you in if people don't show up for their appointment because we allow 15 minutes of grace". I said I think that's what someone had done so that's fine. This is when someone came up (I completely forgot to get her name) and said she's right here (pointing to the screen) we're getting ready to fit her in now. Stephanie says if you want to look around while they get you set up that's fine. As I walked away to wait for my name to be called Stephanie said something (to the lady who pointed me out in the system) about their system being confusing. It was all about her tone. I felt completely bad for the person who she was speaking with. Stephanie was talking to this lady as if she was the queen and the other lady (who remember was the one pointing out where I was on the system) was one of her peasants. It was pretty bad. During my try on Stephanie game by, standing and staring. I asked if she needed something and she said she was going to ask someone a question. Maybe it was just my bridesmaids and me but that was a little on the creepy side. She just stood there looking zoned out and staring in space. My bridesmaids still need to get their dresses but Stephanie's nasty and rude attitude make me not want to consider the store. HUGE thanks to Jayne & Ebony. As for service, they work with 2 brides on the weekends. It wasn't so bad. I came with a friend to have her look at gowns. Even though the associate was assisting another bride, we didnt have to wait around that much. She was very knowledgable about the gowns and if we showed her a dress in the catalog, she knew what it was without having to look at the brand or dress number. As for quality of the gowns, even though I wasnt shopping for myself, but I have had my own wedding so Ive tried on numerous gowns before. I thought Davids bridal would be a great place to shop since a lot of the dresses were pretty cheap (less than $1000) but the only thing Im skeptical about it the fact that they make you wear undergarments (not just for trying on but for your actual wedding.) The associate showed me a pic of what a diff the undergarment makes. My friend did wear the undergarments and she hated it because she felt so uncomfortable. I did not wear undergarments under my gown and it showed my curves very well (I do NOT have an hourglass figure.) However, some of the gowns my friend tried on gave her a funny figure. It makes me wonder if thats the reason why some of the gowns were cheap. The Vera Wang collection gowns were nice, but there was always something wrong with the gown. And for the price, I think another brand elsewhere would've been a better quality. I believe you are paying for the Vera Wang name. The following weekend I took my friend to Weddings by Debbie and she looked stunning in all the gowns. I think one problem with Davids is that all the gowns are a small size and they just clip it so that it would close as opposed to Debbies where all the gowns are large and they clip it to your size. I love that their gowns are bigger cause you have an option to buy off the rack and can alter it to your size. (I did that and even with alterations it was cheaper.) read more

I came in with four others, and we all have strong personalities, so whomever was to work with us had to be able to handle it haha. She certainly could. She made me feel comfortable and she knew exactly how to lead me in the right direction. I showed her several styles and numbers that I wanted to try, and as she pulled them, she learned quickly what I was really looking for. She pulled my dress and it was perfect for me. It fit like a glove!!! I never thought I'd have that "princess feeling" but I did. And I can't thank her enough for her patience and her help to find me the dress I never knew I wanted. I unfortunately made the mistake of going with my mother and grandma initially which led to choosing a dress I wasn't fully satisfied with. Her dress had to be reordered 3 times because it wasn't coming from the factory brand new however they corrected the situation and offered a discount for the trouble. As far as alterations, Claire was the absolute best. She was funny and sweet and never showed any frustration at the time it took to alter several layers. Also the bride had to use the restroom in the middle of the alteration and Claire was kind enough to help her in and out of her dress with no qualms. read more

Went to this davids bridal recently and while my stylist was nice and friendly. It took a long time for one to come to me, i had my daughter with me. and we were walking around for a while. When i went to see if i could put a down payment, another lady very rudely said no you can't put a down payment, and the alterations lady that came out was not nice either. I decided i would look somewhere else and Not get a dress. I had never been to a davids bridal. And will not be going to one again. I picked up my dress from alterations Friday 09/08/17 and everything was perfect, it was expensive but worth ever penny the dress fits perfect. The next day 09/09/17 my mom purchased her dress and I was so amazed at the customer service offered by Susanna she was awesome this has to be the best customer service I've received out of the last 3 times I came here for the wedding. my mom is really picky but she brought her out of her shell and helped us pick a beautiful " Mother of the bride dress" also she was working with us and one other person and still did a great job at checking on us. read more

I still have not heard anything back from David's Bridal, but I do have an update! Let me start by saying that I now understand why David's Bridal filed for bankruptcy. I have had nothing but bad luck with this company! All of these incidences have happened at different David's Bridal shops across the country, so I am not just calling out one bridal shop. I am calling out the entire company! 1. My stylist sent me the WRONG wedding dress. 2. This same person never wrote down all of my bridesmaids' information in order for them to be able to find the correct style/color dresses. My bridesmaids live all across the country, so it was very important that they be able to walk in and find their correct dress in order for everyone to match. 3. At another store across the country, after one of my bridesmaids bought her dress and had it altered, she was sent her dress in extremely poor packaging and now it's completely ruined. Not only this, it is out of stock, and the shop is refusing to refund her money. 4. Last but not least, I went in last weekend to a different David's Bridal to try on veils, and I was told that my veil style and color would be placed in my account so that I could come back and order it at a later date. Surprise, surprise! No one put it in my file! When I called today to try and order it, I was told that there was nothing in my file to prove I tried anything on, and that I could "get some coffee and look at ALL of the veils myself online" in order to try and remember which one I liked in the store. What a colossal waste of time. I tried calling Customer Service to complain, but they are closed on Saturdays. Really?! All of this is outright ridiculous. You can get a really pretty dress for a reasonable price but it is like the spirit airlines of bridal gowns. I ordered one dress that came in early, looked beautiful, and was altered correctly. I bought another that was ordered wrong, didn't get in until the week before my date, was told it could be altered in certain ways when it couldn't, and then alterations snagged the skirt and told me that was just how their fabric was! If you go down this route here are my recommendations: temper your expectations, do your alterations somewhere else, when you order call back two to three weeks later to make sure they ordered the right dress, and do not order from here if you are within 6 months of your wedding. read more

She took the time to really find out the different styles my friend was interested in and made some great suggestions that complimented her. She was not pushy and was incredibly patient. My dress was lost in transit from Chicago and my wedding was the next day. My bestie called the store to informed them of the situation and to the rescue were Lindsey B., Martha B. and Victoria D. We went in to the store around 430 on a Friday in afternoon traffic and walked out with my dress around 10pm, alterations and accessories in hand Not only did they assist me in finding another wonderful dress and had alterations completed the same day, I had my bridal moment happened again. The ladies went well out of their way to insure that I was perfect for my wedding. Perfect I was. Thank you, is not enough yet they seem to be the best words I can formulate. Absolutely horrible customer service!! If I could leave negative 10 stars I would. My fiancé bought a dress here and they were trying to charge her an arm and a leg for the alterations. A few days later, she found a perfect dress somewhere else so she tried to get her money back for the DB dress. Mind you they had kept the dress and she never left with it. Apparently they have a 7 day refund policy. She went back on the 8th day to ask for the refund. 1 f****** day late and they refused to giver her her money back. And of course no one told her about this goofy ass policy when she actually bought the dress. I have never in my life heard of only having 7 days to return something. Especially considering how expensive wedding dresses can be. She is still trying to get her money back via corporate but at the end of the day DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!! You've been warned. I purchased my very first and only wedding gown, by Truli ZacPosen, in March 2018, and was advised it would not be ready until July 2018 (which was completely fine). I order the dress in the largest size they had and planned on losing weight by the time the dress came in. I got a call a few weeks later stating my dress was ready for pick up. So, unprepared, I picked up my dress and bought the suggested protectant cover for it, (on top of it already having the usual plastic cover. I was not asked if I wanted to see the dress or try it on. Fast fwd to 8/12, I finally opened my dress to try it on since losing weight. Well, I guess I shouldn't have trusted them stating I got a new dress since when I looked at it that day, it had a few stains on it, hair all in the petticoat, and makeup on the inside from someone previously trying it on. I took it to the this location (which is where it was purchased) on 8/12 at 5pm, to speak with Mandy H. who happened to be one of the sales managers on the floor and the first thing she stated was that her store is #7 in the area and she insisted that her staff is perfect and would not make mistakes, and hinted that I may have done the stains myself since it was in possession for so long. She took it to the back to have her staff "look at it" to see what they can do, and they attempted to clean it for free, without advising us. They couldn't even completely remove a stain and ruined part of the fabric on another. This is a dress that my mother paid FULL Price for, and was promised it would be a brand new dress. I understand if Mandy H. did not have the authority to do much, but she should not be in customer service if she does not know how to address these situations. Don't waste your time or money. And don't bother with customer service bcs all they'll state is that all sales are final, the dress was in our care for more than 30 days, and they don't have a supervisor. read more

I have been here for two different weddings as a bridesmaid and both times the staff was not welcoming or helpful. My most recent experience, today, was absolutely terrible. I arrived early for my 12:30pm appointment and was told they would try to get to me a little earlier. That was perfectly fine and I would have been happy to wait till my appointment time if I needed to. By 1pm, not only did I leave the store, but I had not been helped by ANYONE. They were not very busy (maybe 2 brides) by the time 12:30 rolled around but instead of doing a simple fitting for my bridesmaid dress, all of the available consultants chose to stand toward the back of the store where they could not be easily seen and chat. I could understand the wait if they had been swamped, and I could understand being a few minutes late, but not half an hour. There were a plethora of consultants available to help and none of them wanted to do their job. All they had to do was look up my bridesmaid dress style number, pull the size I needed so I could check the fitting and then order it for me. All of this would have taken about 15 minutes but instead, I waited for 30 minutes, in plain sight, and every single consultant chose to ignore the fact that they had a customer. A single star is too much for this location, they hardly deserve half of one for how rude they all were. read more

HIDEOUS COSTUMER SERVICE!!! You have to try to guess you size and pay up front full amount like other reviews in other pages say. I have only seen bad reviews. Costumer service is poor. My dress came two days ago all wrinkled and didn't check. I went yesterday and a gentleman said "iron it yourself" or book it to be steamed. If you are paying for quality you expect quality.
