Ivory Bridal was where I said yes to the dress! They let me bring my mom and two sisters with me, which was nice because some other bridal shops have a limit to how many guests you can bring. We had our own private suite area with plenty of comfortable seating, a large mirror with a stool to stand on when trying on the dresses so they aren't dragging on the ground, and even provided us with complimentary champagne and mini cupcakes. They had a large selection of different types of dresses with affordable dress options and the selection didn't feel too overwhelming. Brooke helped me and did a great job of letting me lead during our appointment, but also helping to pick some other dresses I may like based on what I told her I wanted without being pushy or rushing us. We showed up a bit early and was able to browse the store before being handed our clips (which they gave PLENTY of, unlike another place I went to, I was only given 5!) to pick out the dresses I wanted to try on/ caught my eye. Rayna, my consultant, made me feel so beautiful and seen. She listened to my vision to a T without any pressure on securing a purchase. I have heard stories on consultants pressuring to buy the same day so they can get the commission, but that was truly the opposite experience I had. Even the manager at the end helped pick out my veil to lock the full look in. The staff also made my whole entourage feel good and welcomed too. I worked with Patricia to find my wedding dress and had such a lovely time! She was very kind and helpful even though I was super overwhelmed as it was the first bridal shop I had ever visited! She was great in helping me try different styles including what I thought I wanted, (definitely thorough in making sure I saw all that was out there in terms of different styles so I wouldn't have regrets!) and I ended up getting something that I wasn't expecting but absolutely fell in love with! In general they were also very accommodating to my schedule and let me come back a few times to re-try on stuff and also take my mom finally! Everyone who works there who I interacted with was also very friendly and nice. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a bridal shop in Houston, especially one in the loop! I flew in from Seattle, WA because my non-negotiable wedding dress brand is Vera Wang since I was a child and they don't have a boutique here. I only scheduled with Vera's direct store but as my luck would have it, the store apparently got flooded the day I was flying out and they could not accommodate me whatsoever. However, my bridesmaid found Ivory based on the good reviews and we were able to schedule an appointment online for the next day. I still kept looking online if other stores carried Vera and went to a random one, which they were booked and busy for the duration of my trip, but even they recommended I check out Ivory. I was not sure Ivory carried Vera themselves, but once I showed up, they actually did. They have her newer collections and I was looking for one older, but assured they could have it shipped (as long as it was still being produced/sold). Nonetheless, I made the best out of the experience with Shelby who was very knowledgeable on each dress I tried and really knew how to efficiently maximize our appointment time based on what I was looking for, even though my bridesmaids chose so many for me to try on! I believe I tried on over 10 dresses if I can recall correctly. In the end, I found my perfect dress. No it wasn't Vera, but it was basically exactly what I was looking for that I budged. Shelby still used all their resources to confirm that the Vera dress I did want is no longer in production and my original store likely used that as clickbait to get me in, since they never actually confirmed with me if they did have it. What was even greater was that Ivory is able to ship to my residence in WA and find seamstresses locally. My original store told me they could not ship to any residence, but only to their store. I would have had to make another trip just to pick it up, which I think is a little absurd. Overall, I just felt like it was meant to be and I have no regrets coming here! Long story short, the store was big and beautiful. Everyone was very accommodating (I was able to bring my mom and 3 bridesmaids). They enjoyed the experience with the goodies given while waiting during my try-ons. They also have a lot of incentives/discounts should you purchase day of, but Shelby was not at all forceful and coercing me to buy either. She genuinely wanted me to just be happy with my dress! I left feeling accomplished and so much more excited for my wedding day! read more
