She chose great pieces to try on and took tons of photos for me so I could review them later. She didn't pressure me to purchase that day and encouraged me to review what we tried on. At the same time she was very honest about the time frame for ordering dresses and getting them altered. She also did a fabulous job clipping me into the dresses so I got a great idea of what it would look like in my size. They have a great selection of dresses to choose from and the prices are very affordable. Best bridal shop hands down! My appointments were with Marcella. Marcella is the BEST ever! Soon as I walked in she greeted my mom and I with the warmest welcome ever! Marcella personality and patience made my entire appointments the best ever! This may seem crazy, but all 4 times I have gone there to say yes to the dress. Oh yes so I am an overthinker so it took me 4 appointments over a month time to make my final decision, but I did. I knew the dress that I kept trying on was the one, but I had to step away from the dress and shop around before the decision. I went around Houston at other Bridal shops and found myself wanting that La Reve Bridal experience that I had with Marcella and started thinking more about the dress that was at La Reve. That's why I say Marcella was super patient with me she kept saying if I need to try "her" back on again just let her know and that's where those other appointments came in. My first time visiting! In the event I need a 28th bridesmaids dress (ha), I would definitely come back. I made an appointment in advance, and I think due to Covid, they are required. I expected that anyway (needing an appointment). Janet was great at helping me find exactly what I was looking for as far as style and color goes. I was somewhat limited due to the proximity of the wedding date, but there was still a nice selection of gowns I could buy right off the rack. She held the dress for me (for 24 hours) so I could chat with the bride to make sure it fit her requirements! So glad it did. She also recommended local tailors they use but since I live in the Heights, I'll likely go somewhere closer to home. My dress was also on sale! Who doesn't love that? Instead of pushing brides to purchase a gown on their first appointment, they encourage you to think about which dresses you like and shop around. These ladies will not push or pressure you into to buying a dress you weren't ready for just to get a fractional discount (any other bridal store will turn that heat on you and make you feel like it's normal to pick ur dress at first sight). My best friend scheduled an appointment for June 4th at 5:30pm. My best friend and I flew halfway across the country and arrived two minutes early with a party of 5, including three bridesmaids. All of us wore masks. Other than a woman that was getting ready to leave, we were the only ones in there. Of the two employees that were there, one stated not too long after we arrived that we did not have an appointment. My best friend, who is the bride, said that she did and found her confirmation email. The employee stated that it was canceled by text, though the bride replied that she never received any communication of an appointment cancellation. The employee also added that only three people in our party of five could be inside the building, so we would all have to leave anyway; after the ordeal, their most recent policy (May 2021) claims that a party of four can be in the building on weekdays, and a party of three on weekends. The second employee, who I believe is the manager, made a remark in an undermining tone: "Are you not looking for David's Bridal?" Being originally from this area and having just come from David's Bridal, which has been in the same location for years, we felt slighted. Rather than initially trying to work with us to clear the miscommunication, they gave us a curt "sorry" and we walked outside one minute after our scheduled appointment time. Upset, we talked outside for 5 minutes and waited for the groom to join us. One of the employees followed soon after and heard us; when I turned around, she hurriedly walked back into the store and locked it, turned off the lights, and left. However, the manager stayed in the dark building, watching us. The groom tried opening the still-locked door at 5:35pm, and the manager shook her head no, so she didn't let him in. The bridal party continued talking outside, but the groom wanted to go inside to figure out how there was a cancellation. I walked by and took photos of how the business was locked with the lights off during operating hours (attached), and two people in our wedding party pointed out that the venue closes at 7pm on weekdays, even though the lights were off and the door was locked at 5:38pm. The manager, who watched us the whole time from behind the counter, told us to wait one second while she was on the phone, and later opened the door to talk to the groom; the rest of the bridal party followed soon after. The manager apologized to the groom, and showed on the computer that the appointment was canceled; however, the date was modified with her name on it. "It doesn't show the reason why or how it was canceled," she said, though the other employee said it was canceled by text. The manager also noted that, while the modification has her name when she logs in, "anything can happen." She said she was more than willing to stay to help and that she sent the other employee home, but I don't understand why anyone would accept business from a store that just turned off its lights and locked us out 90 minutes before closing time, and only reopened because the groom was present. When asked about the David's Bridal comment, she replied: "People come in here all the time all confused about if this is David's Bridal," which I would understand if David's Bridal was also a boutique in a town center. The manager continued apologizing and said she looked for us outside when we left, but she never came outside--she sat in the dark and watched us until the groom arrived. She asked twice if we wanted to try on dresses after turning on the lights and unlocking the door for us, but we declined twice and left for the final time. Since they asked if we were looking for David's Bridal, that is where we will take our business. read more

I had the absolute best time trying to find a dress thanks to the help of Jossa! She was very sweet, patient, understanding, has a good eye for detail, and of course helps that she's a fellow Aggie lol. It was my first time searching for a wedding dress and only had a small idea of what I wanted. With Jossa's help and about 10-15 dresses later, I finally narrowed down my wide search to 2 dresses + veils and add-ons. The only reason I didn't go home with a dress the same day is because only my mom was able to see the choices and will be returning with a few more people to help with the process and give a preview Also, the prices here are great and surprising for the quality of the gowns. At La Reve I found several dresses I was super excited to try on. The one dress I didn't initially choose, but Bayan found, was the dress I bought full heartedly. I was so happy. The only issue I ran into was the dress arrived 1 week late from the designer, but the La Reve team was on it giving me updates whenever I called. Bayan was soooo fun to work with and I give her full credit for her ability to see what I wanted and pull something I completely overlooked. I had such a great experience at La Reve Bridal Couture. It was my first appointment ever trying on wedding dresses and I ended up finding my dream dress here! My consultant, Janet, listened to what I wanted, while also pulling dresses she felt would look good on me. She knew it was my first time trying on dresses and didn't want me to make a decision without trying on different styles and cuts. I ended up falling in love with a completely different style than I thought I had wanted, all thanks to Janet's expertise! She never put me in dresses above my price point, which I experienced at later stores, and didn't pressure me to make my decision right then and there. She was respectful of our "moments" with the dress (a.k.a. me and my maid of honor crying and grabbing the Kleenex) and had plenty of advice on accessories and making custom sleeves. I came back for a second appointment a few days later and purchased The Dress! At our second appointment, Janet called the designer of my gown and a recommended seamstress, so I could have a game plan for making my custom sleeves. She sent over pictures to the seamstress and truly went above and beyond to make sure my dress comes out exactly how I want it to! The store itself is a bit smaller than some, but the selection is still great and the staff are super warm and friendly. The atmosphere is so fun and relaxed compared to other bridal salons. Let me start off by saying this was the first time I stepped into a bridal store to begin my quest for a dress. I didn't know what specific style I was looking for. I didn't even have knowledge of the different hem lines that exist. I was paired with Bayan as my consultant. She had a tough job on her hands since I was a first timer with little knowledge. She went through and asked me what I liked or didn't like. Pulled some dresses off the rack and let me browse by myself to see if anything stood out to me. Customer service is top notch. They offer you something to drink and even hand write your name in a small chalkboard outside the fitting room. It's the little things that make a difference. Bayan was extremely patient and kind. She helped me narrow some choices. I appreciated she was not pushy for me to make a decision there and then. When I was about to leave, My consultant made some notes on my favorites and even gave me a "thank you" card with a little personal note. Of course, I went on to see more dresses to 3 other bridal shops but they just didn't compare in customer service. That's something that kept me coming back to La Reve to check out their new inventory. They either offer 10% off your dress or $150. Definitely check them out. I can't say enough great things about my experience at La Reve (specifically, thanks to Aisha!). First of all, I was a trouble customer in multiple ways: driving up from Austin on a heavy traffic day and being late to my appointment, dress shopping too close to my wedding date (so many designers and gowns weren't options for me), having non-traditional dress requirements, and being neurotic about how I looked in every dress. Instead of being annoyed with me or running the other way, Aisha worked her magic on me and kept me calm through every gown we tried. She was genuine, funny, knowledgable, and sweet-- I can't say enough about how great she was! I have been to so many bridal stores and boutiques and even tried on gowns at bridal expos-- no one has given me better customer service than La Reve.
