My daughter is graduating in May so we went to David's to see if we could find a dress. We went to their location on Preston in Dallas and the customer service was excellent. We found one dress but we wanted to go to another location before making our purchase to see if by chance, another location had more selections before we made our decision. We live in Lewisville so we decided to check out the Location at the Music City Mall. We arrived and my daughter went ahead of us. I walked into the store and not one person greeted us. I found my daughter and asked her if she everything is okay. She said, no said anything to me so I started looking for a dress myself. We walked around for 15 minutes and I watched everyone that walked in after us being greeted and was asked if there was anything they could assist with. One young lady eventually came over and asked if anyone was assisting us and I told her no. She apologized and grabbed our dresses and placed them into the fitting room. Again, we watched everyone being assisted even in the fitting area so we grabbed a couple of chairs and went into the fitting room with my daughter. The dresses didn't work out but as we were leaving, the young lady at the door said have a good day. We couldn't get a greeting when we came in but definitely got one when we were leaving. I just placed my order online for the dress that we found because I don't know if anyone gets commission for the sale but NO ONE at this location was getting the opportunity from me. read more

I visited David's Bridal today and overall had a really great experience. The selection was beautiful, and most of the staff were kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout the process. They made what can sometimes be a stressful experience feel fun and exciting. Unfortunately, my visit was overshadowed a bit by an interaction with one of the managers (Lauren) who came across as incredibly rude and dismissive. It was surprising given how welcoming everyone else had been, and it didn't match the level of service I expected. I still appreciate the help I received from the rest of the team, but I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works on creating a more consistently positive experience for customers. DO NOT COME HERE!!! My sister got her dress altered here and they did a terrible job with the hem. The beading was not secured which led to a bunch of the beading falling off at the bottom. This was done 1 week before her wedding. We had to take the dress to our local tailor. When we asked to get a refund for the hem which cost $95 they were only willing to give her $20. Do not risk taking your dress here it is not worth the stress. The customer service was terrible. I spoke to a friend that works for David's bridal alterations and she said a lot of the time David's bridal alteration managers don't check the final product which was clearly the case with my sisters dress!! read more

We went to this location today for my daughter's bridal fitting. While there the consultant was rude and rushed us. This is completely unacceptable and completely ruined the experience. We were in there with one other party, so it wasn't busy. Everything we asked of the consultant was met with rushed and rude response, including kicking the dresses around and not allowing her to try on all of the dresses we set aside, even when we verified that we could extend the appointment. It seemed like she was actively working to not be helpful. This consultant took an extremely personal experience and ruined it. I ordered my dress out-of-state when visiting my mom, but came here to get it altered because this location came very highly recommended by a friend. Brides, if you are stuck in the body dysmorphia that comes with dress-shopping and being told from every direction that we have to be perfect on our wedding day...go here. I was losing sleep over body issues, had major dress regret because of the sheer sides and open back that something had possessed me to go with when I first bought it. Over the course of the appointments that it took to get my alterations finished, Ms. Kay, the alterations manager, was my biggest hype woman, encouraged me, helped me find the changes to the dress that would help me feel great, built me up and talked me out of changes I only wanted because of insecurity. I felt great on my wedding day, and I credit that in no small part to her. The rest of the team was also super sweet and great. My alterations were pretty complex, because the dress underwent quite a few changes (removed cap sleeves, added long sheer sleeves for a late fall wedding, etc.), and the end result was stunning. This is just where you need to go if you live in the mid cities and need bridal or other alterations. read more

This David's Bridal is AMAZING! Everything is super organized and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I am getting married this November. My Maid of Honor and I previously went to the Hurst location to look at dresses and it was a mess. Everything was all unorganized with dresses all over the floor and stuff put back in the wrong place. The person we worked with in Hurst let us try stuff on that wouldnt be ready in time for the wedding. When I came here Ysibelle showed me all my options as to what would be ready and in what colors and sizes. She was super nice and made me feel really calm. Unacceptable treatment for Bridal party of 6. Online appointment made for 2 hours. Four women showed at 10:30am all 4 were asked to share a dressing room. Attendant stood off not offering help for sizes etc. Promptly asked party to clear out after 1 hour because she needed to disinfect dressing room. No one else showed up during this time to use the dressing room area. Where all other stalls went unused because all four were sharing the same stall, Bride and maid of honor showed at 11:30am after being called to say they are asking us to leave. The bride confronted 2 women running front desk. They said they were double booked all day, when there were maybe 5 people plus our party in the whole store. They offered to rebook us at 1:30pm. They Order material that will not go with your dress so you have to place a different order. Come in for fitting and the dress wasn't even ready to be fitted. Daughter was told the trane can be pulled up in the back for 50-75$- another LIE!!! Just be up front with all the pricing and what is really included with your services. I came in on 11/8 around 6 pm. I had an amazing experience with Miss Deronay ( I am so sorry I spelt it horribly wrong) but she was the sweetest most helpful person I could've imagined. I was very skeptical due to the other reviews, so I decided to not make an appointment and have my party and I help ourselves to find my dress. Unexpectedly, Deronay came to help us and she is the only reason we found my dress. She really listened to my feedback and was very respectful towards my budget, I felt very comfortable and happy the entire time. She helped on finding some accessories as well. She even had one of the alterations employee come and see about fixing some parts of my dress to make me comfortable. She was very sweet and kind as well. The first time I came here I came with my mother and two bridesmaids, we had an appointment this time around and I was excited to get in to the process. I came in and they were friendly at first, until I asked where the clearance was. They took me over there and left me alone to go through the racks telling me someone would be over there shortly. I combed through the racks with the assistance of my family for close to 20 minutes, finding four dresses in my size, which was to be expected. After I found the dresses one of the employees finally showed up, telling us it was busy that day and they were short on employees. I accepted the apology and went to the dressing area. While she did help me into 2 dresses, the third my sister had to help me into. I felt amazing in my first dress choice and my sister had to help me into the dress again. I was looking to get a veil, but they had none that matched, but I was excited so I was not going to let it bother me. My rep kept disappearing on me, leaving me to stand in front of the mirror awkwardly several times. While she was gone I rung the bell and she popped back up ready to take my order, she helped me out of my dress and my sister helped me out of the rest of the clothing. She took my dress to the front and we wandered around the store looking at the jewelry and shoes. When we were ready to check out I was told my dress wouldn't be in until February 26th, I ordered it the first week in December and thankfully it got to me right before Christmas, but I sure had a panic attack seeing as my wedding was in March. I purchased the corset, but opted out of the petticoat and dress preservation. They seemed a little peeved at me because it was nearly 200 lost. I spent over 700 that day on jewelry and my dress. When I received my dress, some of the beading on the bodice was messed up, I was furious, but since it was clearance, they wouldn't do anything. It is easily fixable, but the dress was over $600. -2nd time- I walked into the store without an appointment, just needing to buy a necklace, look for shoes and buy a bolero. This time around since it was so cold outside I was wearing a hoodie. So when I walked in I suppose I set them on high alert. I knew where the necklace was that I wanted so I walked straight there instead of asking, I saw the women whisper and one of them started to kind of follow me. At first I thought I was being paranoid. I couldn't find it so I asked one of the ladies if they had one, she found one on display and gave it to me. I put it next to my purse (within their view) while I tried on shoes, Multiple people asked if I needed assistance. Not in a helpful way, but in a cautious way, I didn't need help so I sent them away. I ended up not liking the shoes so I asked someone to help me find the boleros, this time they went with me, staying close enough to watch but not close enough to help. I was embarrassed and I felt awkward being stared at so intently. They had such a small selection that I went to check out. They stopped me before I got to the front and made me check out in the jewelry department. They changed their tune when they pulled up my profile seeing that I had spent a lot of money there. All the sudden they were as sweet as can be, but the damage was done, and I felt judged. I left and told my husband to be how uncomfortable I felt, he wanted to confront them but I wanted to let it go (I am a timid person). I would not recommend this location in the future. read more

I just want to say a big thank you to Trinity for helping me find the perfect wedding dress. I initially picked one out to try on but it didn't look right on me. Trinity took feedback about what I liked and disliked about the dress and brought me a different one to try on, which was a significant improvement from the first dress. It got overwhelming trying to pick out dresses from the racks, so it was nice just being able to stay in the fitting room area and having dresses brought to me. After giving feedback about the second dress, Trinity came back with a third dress, which ended up being the one! It was sophisticated, classy but not boring, not too frilly, and lightweight. She found my dress in just 2 tries! That's incredible! That's talent. And I can be really picky. I thought the dress could be jazzed up with some accessories and Trinity brought over a headpiece and necklace that completed the look nicely. Also, she suggested some alteration options that could customize the shoulder/sleeve area. On top of that, I could not believe the price of the dress! I would've gladly paid 3 times as much. We drove down from Oklahoma over Memorial Day weekend to try to find a dress, and what could've easily been a multi-day assignment turned out to be a short and sweet shopping experience. When I went up to pay, they wanted the dress to be delivered closer to my wedding date, but since I mentioned that it was available on the website and would be delivered much sooner if I simply ordered online (do your research!), they were willing to ship it to me sooner, waive the shipping fee, and even offer a 10% discount on top of that. I just came away feeling really good about my purchase and excited about finding the perfect dress. read more

We came in from out of town to shop for a bridesmaid dress, a flower girl dress, and a mother of the bride dress. We found the perfect dress at another location but they didn't have the right size in stock and withe the wedding only a couple of months away we didn't have time to order it. We had the salesperson check stores for this dress and found it at this location so we headed over to buy it. My sister (the bride) called ahead to see if it was really there and to have them hop it. After being on hold for about 20 minutes, she was told they didn't have the dress and they didn't even carry the color we were looking for. I didn't trust her so we went ahead to the store. Sure enough, the store had the dress we were looking for as well as several others in the same style/color. When we arrived we were also asked to check in to try on the dresses and get a room. We signed in and then everyone disappeared from the checkin area without ever giving us a fitting room number. Eventually we tracked down a salesperson and got a room. There was never anyone in the store who went out of their way to help us or anyone who was even that friendly. I wouldn't have bought my dress at this location if it hadn't been the only store that had it in the right size. Also, this store is incredibly hard to find. It's in Vista Ridge Mall but you can't access it from inside the mall. It took us about 20 minutes just to figure out how to get to it. read more

My sister and I went in February to get our dresses altered and her wedding date is THIS Saturday April 10, 2021. We were supposed to pick up our dresses FINISHED on March 26th but we had other things come up and had to change the date. When my sister called to change the date NOTHING was said about her dress not being completed, having pins fall out, or any other excuse why they did a horrible job on her dress. We went this past Saturday (April 3, 2021) to get our dresses and mine was still big on the top and my cup inserts were all messed up. They tried to fix the cups but whoever re-sewed them did a crap job, because they came undone and now I am just taking them out and wasted my money on them. My sister's dress was HORRIBLE. ALL of the pins were still in her dress and since pins fell out and they decided to still take her dress in, it was taken in TOO much! They also "forgot" to put down that she wanted a bustle on her dress. My sister paid over $400.00 for her dress to be altered which is RIDICULOUS! NOW my sister had to take time out of her day today to go and get her dress re-done and then was told all these excuses about the lady being out because of COVID, excuse me, there are more than 1 seamstresses at that store, they could have finished it, end of story. THEN they MADE my sister pay an EXTRA $130.oo for her bustle that she told them she wanted and she thought she paid for already. I CANNOT believe this is how this place treats their brides on their wedding week! My sister is already a ball of nerves and having to deal with planning her wedding up to the day of, now she has to deal with this! UNACCEPTABLE! I WILL NEVER SHOP AT DAVID'S BRIDAL AGAIN and I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND DAVID'S BRIDAL TO ANYONE! I would rather shop online or at a more expensive place in order to get better service and better alterations! They should not have said something about COVID because we had this issue on Saturday and we were not told this....sorry I am not buying it. They also should not have made my sister pay for extra stuff when she had it already in her order and had to go through all of this only 5 days before her wedding! I am DONE with this store! Their attire also showed a specific lack of care for what I feel like is a high end bridal shop. I guess I'd use the word sloppy. Also, I couldn't get a dress in the size I needed, so I asked about getting it tailored in store. Apparently David's Bridal doesn't do that? I feel like that's a wasted opportunity right there. They couldn't even recommend a tailor to me for a bridesmaid's dress. And when I asked about custom making the right size for me since the wedding was 6 months off, they told me they couldn't do that either! So I have to take my dress that's the wrong size because DB discontinued that size (but still had one in store to try on for some reason?) to somewhere else to get it hemmed! I might as well just buy online. Oh, and when it did get shipped, they shipped it to the store instead of my house and sent me multiple emails a day letting me know it got there. I finally called and asked when it would arrive at my house, and they told me they would send it out. Shouldn't they have done that when they received it? Again, sloppy. I was left a voicemail from the store saying that they would be able to ship my dress for free since I hadn't been in to pick it up. It's about an hour there and back with traffic and I work full time, so finding a time to pick up the dress was hard. Naturally, I was so excited that I was told they'd ship it to me for free. I called the store back and they told me it was actually going to be $16 to ship the dress and not for free.... When I mentioned how I was left a voicemail stating otherwise, I was told that they'd have to speak with their manager and give me a call back but it wasn't in their system that I'd be able to get free shipping. I was never contacted back and I ended up having to find time drive to the store to pick up the dress. When I mentioned what happened to an employee, all I got was "oh I'm sorry" with no explanation. It's just very frustrating when you're promised one thing and then told another with zero explanation. If you're not going to offer free shipping then don't tell a customer otherwise. read more
