I just left David's and had a great experience. Devon was my consultant and she was great! Never felt pressures by her. I started with about 10 dresses then worked my way down to 3 then down to 2. Went back and for the between the 2. She never seemed to be annoyed; always very patient. Kendra is another consultant that was so sweet and would come by and give her 2 cents. And the manager Pat was also stopping by to check on me, she was so sweet too! The prices are awesome but I gave it 4 stars because of how expensive the veils and alterations are. Kinda felt like those were very very overpriced...but ur already there so what can u do? My advice is definitely get an appointment. I would try to make it a weekday if possible. Almost all of the dresses need alterations so u might research having that done somewhere else and get an idea of costs before u go (my dress was $1100 and the alterations were $300, veil $200, to give u an idea) Ultimately I had a great experience. read more

We had a really great experience today. Stopped in the store to find my wedding dress with my mother, my maid of honor, and one of my bridesmaids. I was greeted by the extremely friendly Bobbie who paired me up with my consultant Amanda. Despite not making an appointment, the staff was extremely accommodating and really went the extra mile to find the perfect dress. Bobbie impressed me with her ability to remember our names even though we left for a few hours before coming back to actually purchase the dress. Amanda was very patient and made sure that all details were taken care of (shoes, veil, clipped, etc.) and, even though she was really busy when we came back, she still made time for us and maintained a positive attitude. OUTSTANDING experience! I had been to several different bridal shops in Nashville and I was beginning to think there was absolutely nothing for me in my price range. By the time I got to the Madison David's Bridal I was really frustrated, overwhelmed and stressed out. I had gone to multiple wedding boutiques looking for a dress and had some really bad experiences and left feeling very defeated. I ended up booking an appointment with Miya on a Sunday by myself. I walked in a little trepidacious and to my surprise she was extremely nice, helpful, and made me feel at ease. I tried on about 7 dresses and found one I really loved. The manager Pam was really helpful as well. I booked another meeting with my Miya, my mom and my older sister last night (Thursday @ 7:00) and the whole experience was great! I ended up buying the exact dress I had in mind from the beginning, it's a beautiful tea length dress. I was very impressed with Miya's professionalism, she made me feel like a friend and not just a client. My experience was great! Teonka was very helpful in my decision. We picked out several wedding gowns. I tried all but 3 of them on. Two of them I tried on twice. She was very patient. We even had a few dressing room giggles. I found the perfect gown for my destination wedding. Thankyou, Teonka :) I will also say that I had no appointment. I was a "walk in" on a Sunday afternoon. I was greeted right away. I was trying on gowns within minutes after I filled out the form. The ringing of the bell was an added little touch that I actually did like also. Purchased a beautiful open back dress. This dress fit perfecting in the store with min alterations. Upon putting on the dress for the first fitting after the order the dress wound not zip. The alterations lady said no problem we can fix this and just needs to be let out a bit. She took my measurements and I left the dress, Second fitting the dress still would not zip and I was told there was nothing else that could be done for me. I spoke to the first manager and she said nothing could be done the dress had already been altered and it had been let out as much as possible....perhaps this company should tell you to maybe order a size up and do a few more alterations instead of the dress not zipping! Finally spoke to the second manager who was on the phone with corporate with another client complaint (wow should I have been shocked). She said they would not return the dress due to alterations but I could bring it back in to see about altering the back......I purchased the dress for the open back, not to have an open back, corset and a belt. No one ever explained to me why my dress fit in the store but never fit when it was ordered! Anyway I had my wedding with a dress that didn't zip and I had to unzip farther down and tuck in the sides to even make it look ok. LADIES DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. I went to David's Bridal to purchase a dress for formal night on a cruise. With the help of Dana, I found the perfect dress. She is amazing! She is very knowledgeable and has great style sense. I tried the same dress on twice, first to see the dress on me, then to see the dress on with shoes and accessories. She picked out the perfect jewelry and helped me match the perfect shoes and clutch. Not once did she ever complain. She even joked about losing ten pounds while running around for me (great sense of humor). I would absolutely recommend seeing Dana at the Gallatin Pike location. You will not be let down. I had already found my dress at another shop, and was looking to add some neat accessories. With my mother in tow, I told the very despondent hostess at the door that I was wanting some straps or possibly a jacket to add to my gown. Over ambles another lady, looking half asleep. As unenthused as possible, this associate goes over three strap options. I practically have to pry them out of her hand to get a better look. My mother asks how much the cap sleeves are. The sales lady mumbles something about not knowing the price, because that is some other department?? Then, she just walks off??? My mom is now quite unhappy! So, we decide looking about on our own might be the best option. We give the straps (that the lady left, btw) to the hostess, and then spot another customer holding a shawl of some sort. Since no other staff is willing to stop, we ask her where she found it, and make our way over to that department. As soon as we start looking, another employee literally- not figuratively- literally pushes me out of the way so she can get to one of the boleros for the bride she is helping. Then, as if in some weird way she is trying to multi-task us on to her clientele list, she shoves a hideous yellowy satin shawl in my direction and says "I don't know what this is, but this should work for you." My mom and I give each other glances as if to say, "what the *fudge* just happened???" Before I can even explain that 'an ugly satin beaded shawl is not part of my wedding gown vision,' the employee is gone. My mother is so pissed, and I am giggling like a maniac from the absurdity of it all, we just decide to leave. Just my experience at this location. (And I work retail, too. This was a reasonably slow weekday, with few patrons and many staff members. So no sympathy for employees with bad attitudes and poor service skills!) read more

My bridal consultant, Dana was exuberant to say the least. It was just me and a friend and I wasn't thinking it would be that big of a deal. Frankly, I had planned on going by myself before my friend come into town. Dana was like a single person entourage she was so excited and upbeat. She also recommended what she referred to as the 'Tennessee' dress which my friend didn't care for and I thought was too much dress for what I was looking for but wanted to try on....I had the total bridal moment, tears and all. She found the PERFECT shoes to match and recommended a veil as well. The experience was far greater and special largely due to her. Best experience EVER! My husband and I eloped in Japan, which was a BLAST! Don't get me wrong. ^_^ But, we never did the whole wedding dress and ceremony thing. Well, here we are, 10 years later and our 10 year anniversary falls on a Saturday on Memorial Day weekend. Perfect! So, we planned a little family trip to a beautiful Japanese Garden to go renew our vows and have a wedding ceremony finally. Knowing I didn't have a lot of time, I went to David's Bridal near home to see if I could find a dress. When I went in, I immediately got to meet Dana. Dana is AMAZING! Not only is she just a kind and sweet person, but she truly was excited for my event and made me feel like I was the only person in the whole store. It was so sweet!! I told her what I was needing and she didn't miss a BEAT! She went right to a section that had the exact dresses I was interested in. After she helped me select about 4 dresses, we headed off to the dressing room. That is....until she saw me look at one dress out the corner of my eye. She said, "You should TOTALLY try this dress! I think this could be the one!" I was hesitant because guys......it was pink! And I love pink, but a pink wedding dress? I don't know. Well let me tell you, she got me in that room, helped me in that dress and BOOM, it was so beautiful! When I had it on and away from the white dresses, it didn't look as pink. It just looked like a soft, beautiful wedding dress. And guys, Dana knows her STUFF! She is THE dress whisper, LOL! She called it and it was perfect! So, that was it, I was getting my pink wedding dress! She helped me pick out all of my accessories for a perfect look. She went above and beyond to help me and my experience was sheer perfection! I thought at one point, was I silly to do this for a 10 year wedding anniversary, but NO, Dana made everything so perfect like every bride dreams her dress and day will be. Dana is a true asset to the company and I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to have met her and worked with her. So go to David's Bridal and ask for Dana! You will be so happy you did! This place is terrible! They are always insanely busy...even if you make an appointment. I went there to look at bridesmaid dresses, twice, and it was a horrible experience. I just walked in with no appointment and was able to start an appointment within 20 minutes. I was a little overwhelmed with how many choices there were, but once I spoke with my consultant, Dana, she was able to pull dresses for me to try on that ultimately lead me to the dress I will be getting married in! We went to David's Bridal this weekend to purchase a wedding gown for my daughter and were lucky enough to be paired with Joslyn. This wasn't our first bridal store, or even our first visit to David's (different location ), but it was certainly our best experience. Even though it was a busy sale weekend, we were greeted politely at the door and also by the store manager. Joslyn took the time to really listen to my daughter and guide her patiently through the process. When the bride said "yes to the dress" and burst into tears, Joslyn was crying right along with her. Another great part of our experience was that we never felt rushed. While we were presented with options and add-ons, there was no sales pressure. AND I was thrilled to learn that they sell off the rack, so instead of ordering a dress and hoping for the best, we got to take it home with us that day! I would definitely recommend this location to any prospective bride. P.S. After we left, my daughter reminded me that Joslyn also worked with us when we purchased a bridesmaid's dress a few months ago. She was just as patient and attentive then as she was on this occasion. My experience today at David's Bridal makes me not want to go back to try on more dresses or buy online from them. The largest size they had in store was a 22. For some people that's plenty of dresses to choose from, but for me it wasn't. NONE of the dresses I tried on today made me feel good and I hated the whole process. I asked Connie if she could give me my measurements and she responded saying that they don't do that unless you plan on buying a dress from them. She continued saying it could potentially take away from any commission if a customer decided to take those measurements and purchase a dress by another retailer. Okay... I totally get that, but I wasn't buying a dress today anyway (literally seeing what style fits best & was hoping to get my measurements done by a professional), so it's not like she was getting commission from me. Not to mention, none of the dresses fit me properly!!!! Perhaps giving me my measurements would give me a better idea of what size I need to look for. Needless to say, she allowed me to walk out of the door without any measurements to know what size dress would be best for me all because she wasn't gaining commission. I truly hope that's not the policy of David's Bridal because I will never shop at one of their stores again. You should be customer focused not commission focused. If you're not you will lose more business than just mine. read more
