I had a horrible experience. I made an appointment to try on dresses for my senior prom night. I waited an hour for someone to attend me. When I finally picked a dress I somewhat liked I had to get altered. The alterations were another $100. The total of the dress and the alterations were $600. On prom night the strap where the alteration were made was torn on the dance floor. You could tell the alterations were made cheaply with little to no effort. The dress I bought I will be selling online. I should've gone somewhere else. My special day was ruined because of this dress. I will never return to a David's Bridal again. read more

She helped me find "all the gowns" and made excellent suggestions of styles I may never have chosen! Back to DUSTIN, what an incredible human!!!! My husband proposed to me in August and we wanted to get married on New Year's Eve 2015. I was excited to get a jump start on planning and shopping, however I had some reservations about dress shopping first as we had a very small budget. I have heard many good and bad things about David's Bridal in the past. But the initial reason I ended up walking in was the fact that they finance. What a blessing to look for a dress and know I have a year to pay it off without interest. I went in with my mom, maid of honor (little sis), and my sister in law. We are a very loud and expressive bunch. We checked in and we were told Amber would be assisting us. Then approached the sweetest looking little 12 year old, just kidding, it was Amber. And I immediately started judging her. How could this little thing even know anything about wedding dresses? I got a little upset. Is this how I was going to remember my first wedding dress shopping experience? UGH. Little did I know- Amber was a God send. I have never met someone who is so kind, caring, professional, complimentary, knowledgeable, and SO IN LOVE with her job. She was interested in my vision for my wedding, and my concerns about how I would look. She asked me questions about my fiancé and really cared. She told me about her husband and her wedding, which was recent. The dress I ended up choosing was the second one I tried on and nothing like what "I thought" my dress would look like. I put it on one final time to pick a veil. Amber explained all the different style of veils, the history of them, the significance of their length. She is simply passionate about what she does. (I decided to hold off on the veil and see how I felt closer to the date.) I was informed at 'checkout' that I could use the remaining amount of my credit for alterations. How exciting! I scheduled an appointment with the seamstress. My fiancé and I had some family issues arise, and with the holidays approaching and stress rising we decided, the day before Thanksgiving, that we were just going to elope. Our families were already in town for the holiday and we set the date for 11/29/15, the Sunday after Thanksgiving. This brought on some new, unforeseen stresses. I never got my dress altered. Well- it fit like a glove... thanks Amber. But everything being closed on Thursday only gave Friday and Saturday to find someone to steam my dress. Oh shit, and I needed a veil. I took my dress to David's Bridal- didn't even make an appointment. When I walked in Amber remembered my name, my fiancés name, and my sister in laws name. That meant something to me. I don't know why, but it is always nice to feel memorable. Even though I didn't make an appointment she popped me right in to a room and grabbed all the veils she though would match the dress. I ended up with the most perfect veil in the whole world. It is simply lovely. Oh and her manager stayed late to steam my dress- Complimentary of course. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?! I was told I could pick up my dress and veil Saturday. Well life got a little crazy, planning an elopement and all. I called and they reassured me I could pick it up Sunday. Well what ended up happening was so magical. I had my hair done, my makeup done, I drove to the store and had my mom and the manager put me into my gorgeous dress. They walked me out to the car and off I went to get married. Moral of the story. Don't judge a book by its cover. And if your looking for an amazing bridal experience ask for Amber. Janessa was absolutely amazing. I went in with my sister and mother to try on different styles of dresses, because as someone who never thought this day would come had not a damn clue what I wanted. She pulled a few of each style and asked what I liked and disliked about each one and let me try on the same one probably three times before I said yes to the dress. She then handed me the bell so I could make my wishes. Ultimately a phenomenal experience 1000 out of 1000 would recommend. read more

I was a bit hesitant coming in to this because the person I called to make an appointment with for my maid of honor said that they don't do this. When we got there I was a bit surprised to find that they had thought we would have made an appointment. Thankfully they were able to get us in anyway and Stephanie helped us out. Oh my gosh. I cannot begin to describe how amazing and proficient Stephanie is at her job! She has the BEST advice, and is more than willing to help. She goes above and beyond for her customers. If any managers actually read this, Stephanie should be in charge of training everyone in that store what customer service is. Today I brought my daughters in to find matching dress which for teenage girls is a task. I really wasn't very optimistic in this process til Susan and Ashly stepped in. Not only did they help but went above the call in providing the MOST AMAZING customer service EVER. One daughter was in tears and the comfort and compassion that these ladies showed was so heart felt and not one time did they give up til the exact style and color was found so both girls were happy and confident in the same dress. I was here on Sunday for buying my wedding dress, and my associate was SUPER friendly. Liz went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and happy in my gowns and even picked one that I hadn't seen that ended up being my dress of choice. She was super friendly with my mom who was also there and never pushed us into any decisions but instead let us guide the appointment. I would definitely have her help again! Also, we're going to be married on the same day, which is even cooler. The salon in general was super clean and friendly. The dressing room was a little small and made it sort of tricky to get in and out of some of the poofier gowns, but it wasn't too difficult in the end. read more

What a wonderful experience! I visited David's Bridal December 11,2022 and as a first time bride, I was definitely nervous and didn't know what to expect trying on dresses but these ladies rocked it. Geneva was absolutely fantastic and made me feel so comfortable. Her smile was so warm and she helped with everything I asked and did such a great job picking dresses for my body type and what I was looking for. The rest of the staff as well, were right there to help if I needed anything. I ended up finding THE dress at another location but I don't think I would have felt so confident and happy with myself if it weren't for her. Let's start with good stuff . Their special occasion dresses are amazing!! I've already purchased three and I love them.Bit expensive but if you really want a great dress you honestly have to spend some cash. All three times that I was shopping for dresses didn't really have any help .I do remember Ashley helping me once and she is absolutely AMAZING!! The rest of my experience was just browsing around store trying to figure out my size and my style all by myself. I really didn't mind that too much cause I ended up with beautiful dresses. Now for my wedding, I was seeking for a second wedding dress because I already got the first one.My appointment was scheduled at 12:15 but I called in and moved it for 11:30-that was so GREAT,but everything after that just wend downhill. Staff is nice and they greeted me nicely but my stylist I'm not sure what was her name(starts with T) was little rude.After hearing about my budget she didn't seem happy at all, and as I was trying on dresses she was always chewing some food. She was in and out even though the store was empty.And I felt a little rushed. I did finish my purchase within 30 minutes I'm not super excited with my second dress but I guess you guys didn't have any options-as my stylist said. I was there this March and purchased a veil that was on final sale and never noticed it was damaged, when I went home and tried it then I discovered several holes, I called them and Colleen said that There was nothing they could do since It was on sale, I m writing a poor review because they never wrote on the tag that the veil was damaged, nor took a look at it before selling it being an expensive veil and third At least I should've got store credit. I went to David's Bridal to shop for a wedding dress. I did not anticipate actually finding my dream dress! One of stylists, Aubrey, was incredibly helpful and professional. She pulled all the dresses I liked efficiently, offered constructive and kind opinions, and assisted situating each dress (zipping up the back, smoothing out the train, etc.). The shop was clean and had plenty of mirrors. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. It was a great experience overall! read more

I walked in not knowing you need an appointment. I wasn't greeted with any direction other than there wasn't a stylist available to help at the moment. I had a friend with me and said that's ok I didn't need one. I asked if we could still look and was told yes. I proceeded to look at all gowns, bridal and other dresses. I was rudely approached by a stylist and was told I couldn't try on any dresses without a stylist. Not once did anyone offer to make an appointment. To make it worse, that stylist proceeded to talk about us to the greeter. Not nicely or informative. She was nasty sounding. They should train their staff how to smile when talking in front of customers. I won't be back. Edit: I emailed per your reply but haven't heard back. I read on the website that walk ins are welcome! Appointments are encouraged 2nd edit: I still have not heard back from David's Bridal. I've shared my experience and heard other negative experiences about this store. Horrible customer service. My best friend Jayme had her dress appointment yesterday. She was really really nervous. Our stylist Katy was amazing! She was so supportive and encouraging through the entire process. She was down to earth and real, which definitely helped with nerves. Soon much of the staff got involved as we were the only clients in the store. Colleen & Susan stepped in and were also very excited for Jayme and her dress choice. Everybody agreed she looked like a princess, but not a Disney princess . She said yes to an amazing dress! I'm blown away. My mom needed to walk in and walk out with her wedding dress. We called THE DAY BEFORE HER WEDDING. Figuring it was a long shot to even get an appointment we were able to get in at 12:30. We walked in, we were greeted and checked in and our bridal consultant showed us to a section of dresses that we could walk out with we were surprised by all the options we had. We selected four dresses, and she showed us to the dressing rooms. We quickly fell in love and were able to add a belt shoes and a hair piece. Our consultant was sweet and very attentive. She was able to select accessories that really fit with my moms style. We checked out and our total came to 370$! We were so happy and my mom looked absolutely incredible on her big day. We were in and out in an hour with dress in hand. I'm so thankful for all of the awesome staff. I will be back in the future. read more

I am writing this review after marrying my wife, she has worn the dress and the deed has been done but I reviewed the whole process of getting married and wanted to go through and give my opinion on the venders we went with one of them being davids bridal for my wife's wedding dress. The whole selection process for my wife was awesome, she said it went fairly smoothly and got great help. She found a dress that was amazing, and at a great price around 900 bucks. She was helped to choose a size from the ladies helping her and we thought things would go smoothly from there. But they got worse. My wife's dress came in along with the bridesmaids dresses and no one was contacted telling them the dresses were ready. This started to make things stressful, and my wife's demeanor change about her dress. But she proceeded forward to go pick up the dress and choose a date to get fitted to her new dress. Looking to the bright side we moved forward. Well then came the night that really made me want to write this review, the first fitting night I dropped my wife off and waited in the car patiently for my wife to get fitted. After around an hour and a half my wife gets into the car crying. I'm startled and start to figure out what is up. After calming my wife down she tells me that the dress that she got that was a good deal was not in the least bit, because she had to pay 660 in alterations. We were on a fairly tight budget and she knew that 660 wasn't in the budget. I personally figured 2-300 worth of alterations was okay but 660 is probably the same amount as the dress wholesale. My wife and I felt obligated to go with davids bridal for alterations and wanted to work with them because we thought they would be good people, we were far from right. The fitting attendants for my wife told her that she should have chosen a size or two smaller and that it was her fault she didn't chose the right size. When the people that helped her try on the dress the first time said that she should get this size, because it would be easier to work with. The biggest thing my wife thinks looking back is if she would have know that the alterations would be 660 dollars she would have looked at 1500 dollar dresses that maybe only required 100-200 dollars in alterations. This is poor education for the dress helpers, It's bad handling of informing consumers on how much to expect in alterations, and it's poor customer service. My wife refused to let me go speak to the manager because she's sweet as can be will sacrifice whatever she has to so that people don't get in trouble, so her maid of honor spoke to the manager for me but nothing came of it. We also didn't want to get management involved till after the dress was completed for fear of the alterations not being done well or them not even making the dress alterations in time for the wedding. I hope this helps some future brides think twice about davids bridal. read more

I first posted this 5/16, and intended to update today (5/24), but that included removing my original post. I thought it was important to include that, so I am reposting with the original and updated posts: ORIGINAL: Two weeks before the global pandemic was declared we bought two prom dresses for my daughters. Then the nation went on lockdown. For the past 8 weeks (I've literally called every week) David's Bridal has assured (and I mean ASSURED) me they will return our almost $750 in prom dresses, no problem. You know because every prom across the nation was cancelled beyond our control, due to COVID. Today (5/16, the day they reopened and I'm supposed to return the dresses) I received a phone call stating the company has changed their policy and will no longer offer a refund. Including the dress that we haven't even picked up yet (BTW their ongoing policy has always been returns allowed up to 14 days from time of pickup). I can get store credit they said. If they think I'll ever give them my business again they are out of their minds. UDATE: They have redeemed themselves! David's Bridal phoned me Friday (5/22) to say the District Manager has re-evaluated the situation and agreed to refund our prom dresses. I returned them both (unused) yesterday (5/23) for a full refund. Thank you so much David's Bridal for doing the right thing. They didn't get their prom, but my daughters will get to use that money for something else special. Thank you. PS I'd have given more stars, but I should not have had to post to Facebook, Google, and Yelp or call the Corporate Office in order to get action. I came in looking for a simple but elegant dress, not super puffy, without a ton of embellishments (no rhinestones, sequins, etc). I found a few I liked on their website, but of course they had none that I liked in stock at the store when I was there and didn't seem willing to order them for me. Bummer! My mom, future mother in law, and future sister in law all came from out of town to help me choose a dress so I wanted to try a couple just so it wasn't a wasted trip. I'm curvy but not in plus sizes, so I was surprised that they didn't have a size in stock that would fit me for most of the dresses I picked out. I'm not sure how much luck a genuinely plus size bride would have here. As a result they just clipped the unzipped dresses onto my bra so I could get a feel for them... Awkward! I'm a little on the modest side, so this arrangement made me pretty uncomfortable. After trying on a few I was just done. They were all uncomfortable- puffy, heavy, stiff. And they were the least puffy, heavy, and stiff dresses I could find there! The worst part though, was that it was super hot in the store! It was in the 70s outside and it didn't feel like they had any AC on... considering that getting these big heavy dresses on and off is a legit workout, that was awful. To make matters worse they had me wear a "shaping slip" while I tried on dresses. It felt like 4 layers of heavy duty elastic and looked like hundreds of women had used it before! Gross. I ended up buying *the dress* online from J Crew. It is 100% silk. It cost less than half the price of any of the 100% synthetic dresses I tried on at David's Bridal. Just throwing that out there for anyone else who is disappointed by David's Bridal! read more

I had an absolute five star experience here. I had an appointment right when the store opened and met my consultant, Andrea. It was like God had picked her out specially for me because we clicked instantly. She had the same bubbly personality and me and we just got along so well throughout the entire appointment because of it. I tried on four different dresses and we both knew when I found the one. Andrea was so amazing with helping me see the dress not only from the front but from the back as well to really see the beauty of the train. She knew exactly which veil would compliment it best and dealt with all of my crazy, thousand miles per minute questions with the best attitude. She helped me with undergarments, tiaras, and shoes and was absolutely amazing. Chelsea helped me at the front and was so sweet and likeable and just a joy to work with. Yikes. That's all I have to say about my experience here. There was an obvious problem due to short staffing, but that does not make up for the absolutely abismal attitude of the salesperson assigned to my party and our Bride to be. Any time I am scoffed at, made to feel small, and forgotten about, let alone all three, I want to walk out of a place right then and there. BUT when it happens to be a friend, who is shopping for her wedding dress and who made an appointment and has been waiting for half an hour? Uh....no. We eventually got a bit of "help," but couldn't wait to get out of this location and go back to Alfred Angelo down the street, where we were given outstanding customer service and ended up ordering most of the dresses for our party, including the wedding dress. read more
