There's a new coffee spot in Melville called Mokafe…read more They have a large selection of brews , including Mango Matcha and Pistachio Latte. Besides the drinks there is also a wide range of pastries, food, and snacks. The place is new and modern and is very clean. It's a standalone shop with lots of parking available. You definitely have to try the pistachio croissant! Did not see any gluten free food choices.

It's Kafe time! Mokafe that is. This Melville spot is bringing the coffee vibes to ya (along with…read moreplenty of food options as well). My wife and I recently checked Mokafe out twice a couple weeks apart with each experience being pretty solid. Round 1 consisted of just coffee drinks which you'd expect to get from a place like this as the name has Middle Eastern connections to the coffee of that region. What you might not expect is the list of speciality lattes they have as they really load in some unique options (Kinder Bueno latte?!). My tiramisu latte was exceptional while my wife's Nutella latte also hit the spot. Round 2 we leveled things up by still getting coffee, but we also dove into some food options as I ordered the Turkish bagel with olives and my wife got the strawberry Nutella flat croissant. Starting with the sweet, that croissant was fantastic and definitely something unique. My bagel was also pretty legit though not a LI-type bagel as this was flakier with that olive spread inside many bites. Different to what I'm used to, but still quite enjoyable. What wasn't as spot on was my pistachio latte. Not a bad drink as Mokafe seems to handle their espresso well, but I couldn't really grasp any pistachio flavor. I'll try a different latte next time (plenty to choose from!). Before wrapping things up, let's tackle a few other important pieces. Setting is superb in the comfy (albeit green) booths and large amount of seating. It's definitely a cozy spot to sit and enjoy your cafe goods, though the music is sometimes a bit loud and kind of takes away from a place you'd feel like you could maybe get some work done. Pricing is pretty fair with a 24oz iced latte coming in at $7.50 which isn't too shabby with some places definitely over that dollar point. And staff were nice enough for our quick interactions, and they'll also bring out and/or buzzer when your drinks/food are ready which all occurred pretty quickly/smoothly. Overall, Mokafe is a delight. The setting is cool, the menu is sizable, the food/drink choices are pretty tasty, and the whole spot is rather unique to a coffee scene that honestly could be getting a little oversaturated so it's nice to see something different. I know a second Hicksville location just opened, so now let's work on getting one of these a little more east of Melville!

Not only do they look luxurious but they taste rich and decanted. Their bread is always fresh even the day after. The quality has been consistently excellent and for that reason, I'll always choose the French workshop for my catering orders. Additionally, the Plainview location has an incredible staff. One coworker by the name of Nick patiently helped me my very large order. He carefully packaged and condescend my items into the least amount of boxes he could and even offered to walk me out to my car. He had excellent customer service and I hope this review gets him the recognition he deserves.

The service was very slow because there were only two associates making drinks for a huge line of customers. They definitely need more people working inside during peak times. Managers, please add extra staff! The poor gentleman making the coffee was struggling, though he did politely apologize for the delay. I reassured him that it wasn't his fault; having worked in coffee shops during the morning rush myself, I could tell they were severely understaffed. I really hope management realizes how much this impacts the business Saturdays and Sundays should always be fully staffed!

But I'm a big hot chocolate fan, so I ordered a hot cocoa and treated myself to a lemon square. Both were delicious--the lemon square was the perfect balance of sweet and tart. It's such a cute little spot with a warm, cozy vibe. You could easily hang out here for a bit or get some work done on a laptop. The staff was super friendly, too. Definitely worth a visit, and I'll definitely be back!

The biggest positive was the staff. Everyone was extremely friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer questions. I ordered a cold brew with nonfat milk but was disappointed to learn that nonfat was not available, so I went with 2% instead. Unfortunately, the coffee was bitter rather than smooth, which is normally one of the qualities I enjoy most about cold brew. I also tried the blueberry scone. It was just OK--perfectly edible, but not particularly memorable. For comparison, the cranberry walnut scone at Gregorys Coffee is considerably better. Brewology offers an extensive selection of creative drinks and attractive pastries, so other customers may have better luck with one of the specialty beverages. Still, the prices felt a bit high for what I received. Between the appealing setting, interesting menu, and exceptionally kind staff, there is potential here, but the coffee and scone did not quite justify the cost for me. Overall, it was a mixed experience.

The Strawberry Matcha Cake serves 8 and has three layers of matcha sponge cake filled with strawberry soft cream and strawberries. The Strawberry Matcha Cake is absolutely delicious and is light and airy. On a different occasion, I ordered the Mocha Cake and mini croissant breakfast sandwiches for a team meeting. The same amazing high quality goes for their Mocha Cake with mocha buttercream, finished with a swirl of caramel sauce and chocolate sauce. It was my first time having both the Strawberry Matcha Cake and Mocha cake and they were both cakes I would get again. Paris Baguette really has great cakes and it never disappoints.
