Alex was recommended to us by Floor Traders of Tacoma. I would stay clear of this one. Alex tells you what you want to hear but does not show for it. Trevor, the salesman at the flooring co. Called Alex. Trevor called Alex infront of us asking if he can do the flooring for $1.25. Trevor provided the sq ft through the phone and Alex advised that he will do his own measurements as well. The measurements matched and then Alex told me he can do the installation of laminate flooring for $1.50. I questioned him why he changed the price. He told me that it was always $1.50. So I told him we where next to Trevor when he asked about $1.25. Alex didn't say anything and later left. Alex calls me saying that he will take the job for $1.25 sq ft. I have noticed that Alex will see if I have my ducks in a row and if one isn't it will be taken advantage. There was another incident where I asked Alex before hiring for the job if he caulks the bottom and top of the baseboards. So that the floor can look presentable like it does before thd job. Alex tells me it will be taken care of. When it comes down to it he leaves re staples my baseboards crooked and unevenly. Not only that he doesnt caulk all the top of baseboards and none on the bottom. Alex tells me that he doesnt caulk the bottom of the baseboards. But on a different day working on floor he tells me does caulk the bottom of the baseboards. Alex then tells me he wont caulk the bottom because it wont be covered over my warranty. But we advised that we didnt care because our pets has accidents in the home and there are insects that lay eggs below the large gap between the baseboards and laminate that Alex left! By this time, Alex was already paid so he doesnt really care. We even noticed more hidden damage that we wondered how it could be caused by floor installers. We have installed floorings ourselves but couldnt beat our move in date. That's why we thought we hired a "professional". The laminate to the stairs are all trimmed to different measurements leaving gaps. Alex advised us to talk to the floor company about the way he installs things even though floor trader just sells the materials and has nothing to do with Alex's floor installation company. We then tell him about how they did not clean up after themselves. He forgot that my spouse was home when he told me that Im going to want to sweep the driveway and garage because there are nails, staples and dust. There was even staples all throughout the home. Good thing I didnt have my niece come over right away. Alex and his crew even left a large garbage bag wsy in the corner of our living room that we didnt notice until our dogs got into it. It had their lunch, nails, staples and chipped laminate. Pretty much a lot of trash you wouldn't want your dog to get into. Alex argued that they always clean after themselves but action speaks louder than words. We would always hear excuses from him and it didnt match up to a lot of things he did. He's suppose to be able to think for himself and not have us push him to work or do things. He would even question things and ask his employees how to do things. Alex would give a time of when he would come to our home to work. He came in time 1 out of 5x and always rushed his work and make it seem like were an inconvenience to him and leave early. We have also been told before the job that it would tske him 2-3 days. If he didn't come late and leave early it probably would have. Alex mentioned that he would be willing to caulk our baseboards but we told him we will just do it since he complained to us trying to convince that we weren't honest about him not cleaning his mess. Even though another time he asked if my spouse would be mad if he didnt sweep the floors. Keep in mind that there's more chipped wood and dust. Like really?!. With all the contractors we worked with. They always respect the home and ask to go to a specific area of the home before going over there. They even ask if they can trim or move something before doing it. I told alex to not trim the nose of the stairs and he stilled trimmed two steps. Im just so shock how unprofessional he is. So we just told him to not come over to caulk or fix the baseboards. We felt uncomfortable with him returning to our home and it was weird hearing a guy complain. We even tipped him. I hope he split it up with his crew. & i hope he doesnt do this to anyone else. read more

Alex and his crew did an amazing job on my basement floors . They were punctual and really helpful because I have to work and they were able to do runs to the store to pick up supplies that I needed it so I didn't have to take time off my schedule to grab things. Alex and crew installed carpet in three bedrooms. Since they did such a great job, we asked for a quote to fix LVP flooring that had cracked (previous installers, not this company, had left a lump under the flooring). We also had a few gaps that needed to be fixed. On the scheduled day, something happened and Alex thought he would have to reschedule. However he did find an installer who came out in the afternoon and did a great job fixing the LVP, and quickly too. Alex gave us a discount because the job didn't take as long as he thought. Moved into a very old home with terrible smelling carpet. So I decided I needed to get all of the carpet replaced.
