That night we tried desperately to get it out using towels and baking soda. However, at the conclusion of our efforts I was left dismayed and staring at what were now purple stains on the rug. I got on HomeAdvisor.com and did a search for carpet cleaners. After putting in my info, Mike was the first to respond. While I made arrangements for him to pickup the rug, I seriously debated throwing it away and buying a new one even though it was my favorite rug. Reason being, it had been cleaned multiple times by Stanley Steemer and it had always came back dingy and dirty, but they claimed it was the best they could do. As such, I was highly doubtful that the wine stains could be removed in their entirety. Nevertheless, I let Mike pick up the rug and give it a try. Well let me say, I am soooo unbelievably happy that I did. When he unrolled the rug onto my living room floor, I was shocked that not only could I see no evidence of the wine stains, but the entire rug looked like it did when it was first purchased. I was in love with my rug again and so grateful I had not gotten rid of it. He did not. My girlfriend was on a conference call, and it took her a minute to gracefully step out. The cleaner berated her (while she was on the phone with me) for taking too long. Then, he made *her* move much of the furniture in the room herself. Once she completed the manual labor, he took approximately 30 minutes to clean my 12x12 living room, and my 4x4 hallway carpet. And then presented her with a bill for $225.00. We had a sick cat, and the carpet needed to be cleaned before we had company come over. But I will never, ever use this company again. For the exorbitant price we paid, we deserved far more than rudeness, condescension, and laziness. Stay away from this company.
