Years went by and then they started bothering me on and off. After a routine cleaning from my dentist recently, one of my wisdom teeth really bothered me and I was referred to Dr. Attia's team. I called and they were able to schedule me on the same day for a consultation. The staff are very friendly and professional. Everyone at the office had a smile and were patient. X-ray was done on site and a smooth, quick process. I thought I might have needed the extraction that same day but Dr. Attia did a thorough assessment and reassured me that it could be done later. I was scheduled 2 days later for the extraction. I needed all 4 removed so I was sedated. Dr Attia and his team provided clear instructions, including a print out, of how to prepare for the procedure and what to expect afterwards, including driving and home care instructions. They answered all my questions clearly and were available by text/phone, providing helpful reminders. The sedation and extractions went smoothly, all done within an hour, without any issues and pain-free!!! They provided a very detailed and helpful handout on what to expect hours and days after the procedure, and how to mitigate pain, swelling, bleeding, etc. I had a follow up one week after my appointment when Dr. Attia checked that things were healing well and he shared some details about my procedure and my wisdom teeth. I highly recommend Dr. Attia and his team! Thank you for helping me take care of this long overdue dental surgery that I was putting off! Appreciate all your care, attention, knowledge, and making it a smooth process!

I called the week before just to get some information and was told my appointment had somehow been moved to the end of September. I understand that mistakes happen, but no one called or contacted me to let me know there was an issue with my appointment. I'm also confused about how I was scheduled for Monday, September 21, if consultations are only done on Thursdays. Had I not called, I would have taken time off work, driven two hours, and shown up just to find out I was never scheduled correctly. For context, I have a decaying wisdom tooth that is causing unbearable pain, and I've already been trying to get it removed for the last six months. Now my consultation is being pushed back, and after that, Medi-Cal approval can take another four to six weeks. The healthcare system already feels like an uphill battle, and mistakes like this just prolong someone's pain and suffering. This was extremely disappointing and aggravating.

The assistant and Dr. Takahashi were really chill and made everything really comfortable with light conversations. Got hooked up to the IV to get knocked out. I thought I was waiting to fall asleep the whole time and was wondering how come I'm not falling asleep. But they said the procedure was done. I am really surprised and impressed with the process and the whole procedure. It is now 10:25am back at home and I feel normal. Not feeling any pain...yet. Hope it stays this way. If you're one of those people that have a phobia of seeing the dentists, trust me you don't have to be nervous about coming here. Dr Takahashi and his staff is perfect. Update: 1 day post-op and I feel normal. No swelling and no bruising. The night before might jaw was a little sore, barely noticeable but I think that's only because my mouth was opened for about 30 min and the Dr had to work around it. I feel like I could eat normal again already but will wait one more day to make sure the gums are healing correctly. I'm so happy I went to this dental office and so glad Dr Takahashi worked on me.

The staff is always welcoming and truly makes you feel like family. It's clear that their top priority is their patients' health - they really advocate for you and take the time to provide quality care. We did try other dentists for about a year because of the commute from Livermore to San Leandro, but nothing compared to the service and quality we get here. My 7-year-old daughter actually enjoys going - she feels safe and comfortable every visit, which says a lot. Once you find a dentist you trust for your whole family, you stick with them - and that's exactly how we feel about this team.

He reviewed pictures from my dental history before coming in to examine me. Dr. Ching sat down and reviewed my medical history with me and asked what I wanted out of treatment, as this affects my treatment plan. He talked with my mom and I for 15 minutes or so giving us information and answering questions before he ever looked in my mouth. He seemed very thorough yet gentle in his examination. I felt very at ease and able to trust him, and I will be returning here for surgery next month, and may have an update at that time. UPDATE: I've had 3 surgeries now by Dr. Ching, and my high opinion of him stands. I experienced very little pain with my gum grafts. The nitrous oxide was free upon request, and he was very understanding of my laughter in the middle of the procedure. I chose not to take the antibiotics he prescribed prior to each surgery (as a precaution) and he was perfectly okay with me making that choice, rather than giving me a bad time for not following his directions as a narcissistic doctor would. He's a very caring man, and wanted me to come back for a final checkup. He asked me to bring pictures of the wedding, since it was after the fact. Caring, knowledgeable, gentle. The office staff is just as friendly. They seemingly remember anyone they talk to. My last visit he asked if I had any questions, and I asked him about proxabrushes, since the ones a previous periodontist had given me were helpful. He loaded me up with a bunch for free so I should be set for a few years, anyway (these things cost like $2-3 each at Walgreens). I definitely recommend him to anyone!

I really wanted to like this place, unfortunately the fees and lack of communication really got to me. Took me about a year to write this because I've been searching for other dentist. I took my two boys here, the decor was cute and inviting. When I sat down to discuss treatment with the treatment coordinator, she gave me an initial quote but didn't show me what the fee before insurance coverage was, like why are you hiding your fees? I didn't mention anything because the treatment coordinator was worried and trying to get out of the office because her young son was sick, which was fine, people have emergencies and I'm very understanding. Anyway, she asked for a down payment to secure the appt. I agreed to the proposed tx plan and put down $200. My estimate for four fillings and one extraction of a baby tooth was only $274 for one of my kids, and $273 for five fillings for my other son. I ended up doing 2 fillings for one of my kids and 3 fillings for the other. When I asked to checkout after the treatments were completed the treatment coordinator told me that she couldn't bill out the same day and would send me a bill. So a few weeks later I got a bill in the mail for over $600, and mind you I only did half the tx for both kids and already put $200 deposit down and my total proposed estimate for both kids was only $574 for their full treatment. Confused, I emailed the office with no response from them, which happens very frequently . So I show up to the office and asked what happened? The treatment coordinator told me my insurance didn't cover what they were supposed to, but when I called my insurance they said they covered what they were supposed to, the office just turned around and raised the fee on me without telling me, and apparently I couldn't do anything about it....when I asked they said they were in network with Cigna, but I called Cigna and the insurance rep informed me that Davidson dental was not in network. After speaking with the treatment coordinator and showing her my initial proposed plan, she cut the fee down for the treatments that were completed to $300, telling me " I know how hard it is to be a single parent" um I'm not a single parent, I'm just not trying to get scammed by you! So now, I've paid $500 for just half of the treatment. I hope existing and new patients who reads my review will take a better look at their bill and ask better questions then I did and fight harder than I did if they know that it's wrong! I could go on a number of other things including me seeing decay on an X-ray that the dentist didn't diagnose for my son, and when I told her that, she said she did tx plan it. I double checked and it wasn't even on there. Yes! Surprise! I know how to read X-rays very well. Anyway, my point is, I'm sad and angry thaI didn't fight harder when I knew I was right and I do feel scammed. So proceed with caution and ask lots of questions. Review update, after hearing my Review Dr. Davidson contact me herself, which I appreciate extremely. She showed concern and was genuinely upset for me. Also, I forgot to mention that through this whole ordeal she wasn't the Dr who worked on my children, and I never had an issue with her directly, there are other Drs working in her practice as well. I can tell that she genuinely cares about her pts, she offered to make things right for me and my kids, and that I can appreciate. Thanks for reaching out. read more

It was over the holidays, and I decided to treat myself to a gourmet caramel apples covered in almonds. Unfortunately, when I bit into the apple the crunchy sound was not the apple at all..it was my tooth :( I haven't been to the dentist in years, and to be honest...not a big fan of the pain and all of the drilling. I decided to call a few friends, and was referred by a friend that has been going to Davidson Dental Group for over 10 years. She assured me I would be in good hands, so I gave Davidson Dental Group a call. Remember it was over the holidays, so I was shocked when the receptionist actually picked up. She was very pleasant on the phone as I rambled on about my tooth, and assured me I was in good hands. She went on to tell me I could come in that next day, and I could hardly believe it. When I arrived at the office I was nervous at first, but when I got inside I was greeted by two of the friendliest women at the front desk I knew I came to the right place. I was offered coffee, and told to make myself at home. That's what this place felt like...a home :) The office is warm and modern, with a peaceful vibe. I was given some simple paperwork to fill out and within 15 minutes I was walked to my own little room. The dental assistants Jeanette and Jennifer were AMAZING! Right off the bat my nerves were at ease. They took some X-Rays, and looked at the tooth, and moments later in came Dr. Elena Davidson. I have never felt more comfortable in a dental office before. Dr. Elena Davidson was so professional, and friendly. She looked at my X-Rays with me, and explained exactly what she was going to do step by step. I needed a crown, and I had no clue what that meant, so I had a few questions. Dr. Elena Davidson took her time answering each and every one of them. Her knowledge and confidence made me feel at ease. Before she got started Jeanette offered to bring me Netflix, and I thought that was the coolest thing ever! Watch a movie at the dentist? Who knew? Before I started my movie I told her AGAIN how super sensitive I was to the drilling, and again sincerely assured me that my comfort was her #1 priority, and it really was!! Dr. Davidson's gentle nature, was remarkable! The tooth was not looking good in the X-Ray, but you would never have known it because for the first time in my life I felt no pain or discomfort! NO PAIN! I am almost 40, and have teeth pulled as a kid, I have had braces, wisdom teeth pulled, and every time it was the worst experience ever. Other than a little numbness from the anesthesia I was good to go! If you want to have the best care, and most comfort in a dentist chair there is no better choice than the Davidson Dental Group in San Leandro! Dr. Elena Davidson I APPRECIATE YOU MORE THAN YOU KNOW! I recently was referred by a friend to Davidson Dental when I needed to see someone about an ongoing toothache. Although I had an existing dentist, I was swayed by my friend who OOOZED superlatives about his dentist when I mentioned my toothache and groaned about having to deal with it. I must say, I've never had a dental experience like I recently had with Dr Elena Davidson. She put me at ease, got me out of pain, and and I hardly felt a thing! Amazing! I got 2 fillings in 40 min and It would have been faster except the Dr waited for the anesthesia to take hold which I dont think my previous Dr did. Even the anesthesia shot was painless, which I didnt think was possible. Dr D pointed out I have other potential issues to "watch" but no need to address those issue at this point...which I was all to happy to keep "watching". On a side note, Dr D had a young boy in the room next to mine who was crying a bit (not judging I've felt that way before) with his mom trying to calm him. I was extremely happy to be offered movie googles or music, listening to Mozart helped drown out everything and probably made my procedure seem faster...as I was wrapping up at the front desk and ready to leave, I see the boy and his mom giving huge hugs to Dr D and overheard mom letting Dr know with tons of gratitude that this was the first time the boy was able to have work dental work done. Seeing what actually pushed me to write this review. Back to my experience- they took my insurance, everyone at the office was friendly, I got free teeth swag (brush, paste, floss..), and I was back to work and a happy camper. I have been a satisfied patient at Davidson Dental for many years. Elena (the practice owner) and her staff really know their stuff and they truly care about their patients. I always walk out of my appointments knowing more about my teeth and with clear guidance on how to better care for them. I've had a range of treatments over the years, and Dr. Davidson has done a great job on everything, including the most complex issues. A few months ago she helped alleviate a persistent problem I was having with cold sensitivity at the gum line. At the next appointment, the hygienist asked, "So, how are you doing with the cold sensitivity?" I replied, "what cold sensitivity?" Sometimes we take our dentists for granted, but upon reflection, Elena has spared me a great deal of pain and discomfort lately. Perhaps most important is that Davidson Dental stands by their work. If you ever have a problem with the fit of a crown, or are experiencing any discomfort after a procedure, or just not satisfied for some reason, Dr. Davidson will bring you back in ASAP and fix it. Experienced dental patients know that adjustments are needed from time to time, and thankfully Elena makes every effort to so ensure that you are happy with the final outcome. One last note: I have felt safe keeping my appointments during the Coronavirus / COVID-19 pandemic. I met Dr. Davidson at a basketball game where she was marketing her dental practice . At first I just admired the fact she was out in the community marketing and making connections . I visited the office a few times for cleanings and Trin the dental hygienists would spark up some great conversations. Dr. Davidson would pop in and out to consult me about deep cleanings and what not . After which I would sit with Andrea the "Business Manager " , she would tell me the cost and honestly I appreciated the approach but at the time I just wasn't ready . Recently , I had a severe tooth decay on one of my teeth . My gums were infected from poor oral hygiene and snacking on trail mix before I went to sleep at nights . Brushing my teeth just wasn't enough and from the last visit I had there was talk about my back tooth being on the verge of cavity . I had received a reminder for a six month cleaning a week away but asked if I could come in on the same day because of the pain . Mi said she check and he back with me . I end up going into the office and got the work done . My back tooth was filled and my front tooth as well . A day later I totally feel great and the difference is very noticeable . I have been a patient of Dr. E. Davidson-Arbit since she took over her father's practice and began to make it her own. While I've always been given the best care and attention at this office, I am especially impressed by how comfortable Dr. Davidson-Arbit makes me feel -- she has an extremely gentle/soft touch (inherited from her father, Dr. W.Davidson); she is also very attentive and mindful of any discomfort; takes the time to answer questions and explain things in details; offers different options, gives her recommendations and comes up with a strategy to alleviate the issue. I really appreciate a professional that is a blend of straightforward with a nice bedside manner. I know that Dr. Davidson-Arbit is up on all the modern techniques, but I also appreciate the fact that the office continually gets updated with the most current technology and equipment. What an outstanding job was done on installing my five porcelain veneers, they came out absolutely beautiful -- seamlessly blending with the rest of my teeth...and a smile. What can I say about this very office? Dr. Davidson and her team are very professional and personable. I like most about Dr. Davidson is that she explaines what she is doing and why, is never rushed for time and listens to what you have to say. She have such a delicate hand that I never feel any pain or even know when I have gotten my shot. Dr. Davidson called me, nonetheless, just to see how my dental work is doing after my appointment. Just an example of the amazing character of this office. Have I already mentioned they have an awesome team put well together from the front to back. We had a wonderful experience at Davidson Dental. Both my 4-year old son and I had cleanings. Honestly, the staff was more apprehensive about my son's dentist-office experience than I was. They took (and talked me through) every precaution to make his experience enjoyable so that he would not dread future dentist visits. Of course, I had to stand outside of the exam room during his x-rays but I heard him laughing and having actual conversation with the hygenist about the procedures. He was completely at ease, even without me in the room. They had a cool assortment of treats for him to choose from to reward his cooperative behavior and successful exam, and they even allowed my 2-year old to pick a treat so that he felt special as well. In all, it was a comforting and safe dental visit. I felt that they were completely honest with me about the condition of my teeth and that they did not recommend any unnecesary treatments. Although I may be Dr. Davidson's son. She has not let me down. See, when i'm with my normal dentist, if something hurts there's no choice but to suck it up and deal with it. But the times my mother treats me, I am the WORST patient and I understand that. Even though I am the most annoying worst patience ever. My mom still deals with it. Now your probably wondering, "Why would I trust this wierd little kid who probably got paid 50 Cents to write a review for his mom?" (That did NOT happen by the way) Well, it's because this is a completely honest review, and although we live to together, she still makes her office as warm and cozy as our real home. When I see her with patients she is so nice and comforting and I hope if I follow through with my desired career to be a dentist I could be as comforting and good as her! Of course you dread going to the dentist.....but not this one. What a wonderful staff of knowledgable professionals. Dr. Davidson and the staff at Davidson Dental explained everything to me in detail, complete with options and precautions. I did one of the amazon specials and took a chance on what I would get in the dentist and, honestly, I think I may have found my dentist after multiple tries elsewhere. Among the things I liked the most were the newness/freshness of the office/equipment/furniture, the procedural aspects were great and the comforting feeling you get from the care of the staff. I was most impressed with the latest technology they had there showing you exactly what the issues are and how to correct. I'll just close by saying you cannot go wrong with Davidson Dental in San Leandro. What an awesome practice! read more

I had an appointment yesterday at Davidson Dental and I am just amazed I was litterally looking forward to that visit... Looking forward to a dental appointment... Crazy, but it is true. You go there, the place is very welcoming, with pictures and fresh flowers, all staff is there to make sure you are comfortable, they are always courteous, attentive, they take time to explain procedures and finances. By the way, the prices are very reasonable. And I say that because I compared prices of other dentists in the Bay Area. The Doctor and the assistant care very much about you being relaxed and pain free, plus the nice soothing music is a plus. Dr Davidson has the most gentle touch you can imagine. And I am so pleased with the results! In brief, this is a good experience! read more

I'd like to first start out by saying... I love this Dentist office! I've never been one to write a review OR give kudos to ANY dentist. The staff is AWESOME and I can't say enough about Dr. Elena. She is very thorough, knowledgeable and skilled - I wouldn't trust my teeth to anyone else. I've had a painless deep cleaning treatment (did my entire mouth in one visit) and I've completed my Invisalign treatment and I'm very pleased with the results... what can I say, my teeth look and feel GREAT! Bonus, I've watched TV and listened to Pandora during my visits - this is not your typical dentist office. I had a very pleasant experience at Davidson Dental. Everyone I met from the moment I entered was friendly and kind and had my best interest at heart. I have always been somewhat afraid and embarrassed when it came to going to the dentist and I have never liked the appearance of my teeth and I knew I had cavities. What a great experience! I am a new patient and from my first teeth cleaning to having a crown, I couldn't be more satisfied and pleased with the service and the results. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Assistant Michael was professional and accommodating. Davidson Dental Group is so great for my kids! Everyone makes them feel comfortable and welcome, and they even have mounted TVs near the exam chairs so the kids are distracted and calm during the exam. Yesterday, the pediatric dentist, Dr. Le, and a hygienist stayed late to put sealants on my daughter so I wouldn't have to come back for a second appointment. I drive 50 miles from my home to Dr. Davidson practice. Obviously I think highly of not only Dr. Davidson but the staff. Always a warm smile when I walk in. I had a crown from a dentist 20 years back, which came out. And Sunday night, right before the 4th of July, mind you! I called Davidson Dental Group first thing Monday morning. They offered me 3 times where I could come in the very same day. I came at 4pm, they fixed the crown, and I had a much better 4th of July that way! I am looking forward to my Invisalign treatment on my next visit! read more

I recommend getting better receptionist that has common sense. If their canceling sooner, try to call more than once cause the patient is driving to the destination.

I'll probably stay here forever and recommend them to everyone. The office is clean, upscale, the fountain is my favorite, honest, and they never try to upsell unnecessary treatments. They simply take care of you. Everyone on the staff is incredibly kind, gentle, and patient, which makes a huge difference for someone like me who gets nervous about dental visits. What really stands out is how much they genuinely care about their patients. They've even given my teenage boys life advice during visits. You're not just a number here--they truly get to know you. If you ever have to wait for a specialist, it's because some travel in from out of state. I've always appreciated their transparency and patience with scheduling. In the past 8 months, I've had three fillings, a root canal (with a referral), and a completed repair with Dr. Mola. I also go in every three months for cleanings to stay on track, even though my insurance only covers two per year.
