Once again , I bought a beautiful custom made 1/2 sheet cake for my grandson's 1st birthday last week 8/23/2025. They never disappoint. I will be forever grateful for their professionalism, courtesy and listening exactly what I wanted. This is the 4th time I bought from them and will continue to do so. Anyone that wants a great bakery come here. Owner Roseann is extremely pleasant as is the girls that work for her. Thank you again

I was able to sample a couple items from this spot as I did not attend. They did have deli sandwiches besides just all baked goods. I had a St. Joseph pastry with cannoli cream as well as a custard filing. The one with custard filing had some type of fruit topping as well. Both were great. The pastries as a whole were light while there was plenty of filing in each one. Neither cannoli cream nor custard were too sweet either. They were also of appropriate size. Will I go back? I did not physically go but would head there.

Let me start off by saying the service here was amazing. I came in knowing that I wanted a tier cake and purple with butterflies but no design in mind. When I sat down with the owner she was more than accommodating and helped me find a beautiful design that was perfect for my birthday. The price was also reasonable as well for something like this. I expected it to be more considering the size! The cake tasted really good too. Everyone here was super nice and I will be coming back to try other things

I'm a huge Calandra's fan, but DaVinci gives them a run for their money! My father absolutely loves coming here weekly for treats. While I think they make great desserts and bread, I've had better. It's still a family go to and staff is super sweet. Their cheesecake had a lingering powdered sugar flavor after each bite. I might be off, but I prefer a cream cheesier NY style. Still enjoyable though. Bread is always great! Plenty more for me to try and will update my review then!

Ordered a cannoli cake for my husband's birthday. The process was easy and staff was helpful. The cake itself was delicious. I loved how light and fluffy it was. It was the perfect balance of cake and filling. Would definitely love to try more cake flavors in the future!

I ordered a jungle themed cake for my daughter's second birthday and I could not be happier with how it turned out! Not only did it look amazing, but it was absolutely delicious. The ongoing pandemic has definitely taken a toll on a lot of businesses and public places since a consumer's mindset to buy anything outside of essentials or to visit a public place like a park or beach, has crippled down significantly. Now by living with what has become the new normal, it is commendable on how these businesses and public places continue to remain open and cater to the general public by following the safety standards. It is now all the more important that we as customers, support these heroes during these dark hours to mankind. This is a great bakery in a very residential place like Nutley. The first time I got a chance to eat something from here was when my wife got a Creme brûlée from here and it was out of the world. That made me wanted to try out this place and in person. We visited this shop on Saturday along with our relative who was visiting us, the day after Black Friday just before the store closure. The shop was well-dressed with Christmas decors and gave a complete Holiday mood. The desserts were a treat for the eyes possibly featuring all colors picked from a color palette. We ordered a Creme brûlée, Tiramisu and a Cannoli. We had given a lot of hopes and buildup for the desserts that we started tasting the desserts while driving back home. The Creme brûlée was good but the Tiramisu was a total let down. It tasted close to being stale and we could not carry on with it anymore and the cannoli was pretty ordinary too. It was a total let down after taking an effort to impress the guest. The shop is usually a good bet on the money and that day was an odd experience. May be it's just an one time experience but I hope they can get back to what they do the best and rectify on what went wrong.

I couldn't tell you about the quality of DaVinci's baked goods since I couldn't get past the poor customer service I experienced. I called the bakery asking to place an order for a cake with a custom design on it. It was as if they've never heard of the concept before. I was unable to come in to the store to show them an image (which was uncomplicated) so they asked me to fax them a photo. Once they received my fax the manager of the store called me back with an attitude complaining that my photo was in "black and white." This was a fax so yes of course it was. I asked if I could then email it but this woman was becoming increasingly aggravated and nasty so I decided to order it elsewhere. If this is the way you treat a potential new customer who just needs a simple cake order then I think i'll pass. read more

My family and I have been going to this bakery since they first opened last year and everything is just so delicious. Their Nutella Cookies are the best! We also love their cannoli cakes! Everything is just delicious! The staff is also very friendly! If you are in Nutley, you need to definitely try it! read more

For Thanksgiving, I picked up pumpkin pie and a box of cookies, loved it all so far! Everything tasted JUST RIGHT, and not TOO sweet. Is $15/lb for cookies overpriced or is that what the price is everywhere these days? It's been a while for me so I wasn't sure. The most exquisite pastries, desserts and treats you can imagine - each one like an individual work of art. And somehow they taste even better than they look! Don't even get me started on the bread!! Best of all the owners and staff are so friendly and accommodating. Besides making this bakery a regular stop to pick up goodies to take home, I highly recommend enjoying something on-site at one of their cafe tables. It's just a lovely experience. read more

I'm going to preface this with the fact that I don't really care for baked goods. I will have them if people bring them but I never seek them out. I moved to the area in September and wanted to get some goodies for my fiancé and this place had good reviews. Holy lord it was delicious! This will be our bakery whenever we need stuff. So clean. Staff was amazing. And the tiramisu and Napoleon was insanely good. read more

Excellent bakery with a wide assortment of goodies! So far I've tried the carrot cake, Napoleon, and caramel apple cheesecake. Each cake was delicious, fresh and clearly made with quality ingredients. The bakery has a deli department too. Go check it out! It's a great spot to get some gourmet grub. read more

I've stopped in a few times to sample their various little cakes and cookies. I have to say I'm impressed! The carrot cake is divine as well as the linzer tarts. Shop is cute and clean! Sandwiches look yummy but I haven't tried one yet. Would definitely go back for a bigger order. read more

Couldn't be more pleased on my first visit. We didn't realize it's 8 and they were closed, but when they saw us outside they came and opened the door and let us in! I tried the lobster tail, cannoli and Napoleon - all of which were amazing, priced very reasonable. Definitely going back to try other items on their menu. read more

Best bakery in the area. The mini strawberry cheese cake, creme brulee, and canoli are my go to pastries, and they're FANTASTIC. I went this 4th of July but was unaware, until I got to the door, that they were closed early for the holiday. I started to walk away when the owner opened door and told me to come in and get what i needed- CANOLIS & CHEESECAKE haha. He was rushing to leave to celebrate with his family, but STILL delayed his leaving to send a customer home satisfied (and full). This place is A-1 and I'll forever be a loyal customer. read more

Went to this place on a Friday night for a few pastries. Upon walking in the woman behind the counter was on the phone. She told the person on the phone to hold and asked if I knew what I wanted. As it being my first time here I said " I'm not sure" while looking into the cases. The woman rolled her eyes, sighed, picked up the phone and told the person on the phone " this is going to be awhile". I was sorry I interrupted the woman's conversation and will not bother them again. read more

I was looking for chocolate covered strawberries to bring to a friend's and called a bunch of places but no one had them. Here, they said if I gave them twenty minutes they'd go get strawberries and make them for me. Are you kidding? And the staff are friendly and sweet too. This place is the best. read more

So I went to this bakery this afternoon with my mom because we wanted dessert... So happy to find this bakery because the pastries were amazing! The owner was extremely pleasant and was a joy to deal with she explained every pastry that I asked what it was and never once made it seem like I was bothering her. All the cakes, pastries, cookies everything in this bakery was so pretty that I don't even want to eat them! Once we did start to eat them everything was so delicious! Just happened to be right next door to this bakery so I dropped in. The staff was attentive and helpful and the pastries and cakes displayed beautifully. I'm not a huge pastry fan but my guests raved about the cannoli cream and complimented the linzer tarts. The lobster tails were also a favorite. My only complaint like most bakeries is the lack of pricing. You order and until you're getting cashed out you have no idea how much of a bill you just racked up! The prices here were reasonable. The next time I'm hosting I'll definitely be back to this bakery. read more

I've been searching through every bakery in the vicinity of Belleville to find the best Italian desserts and my search is over. They're here. The cookies are rich and buttery. The cheese danish is the perfect blend of cheese danish and crumb cake, which makes sense because their crumb cake is also delicious. I've had several of their small pastries: the cheese cake is great, the tiramisu flavorful. I liked their cannoli. I also tried this round caramel pastry that they recommended I try and the friends I brought it to loved it! I'm looking forward to eating my way through their entire display case. If you're looking for a dependable Italian bakery to satisfy the needs of your sweet tooth, look no further. read more

i literally go to this bakery about once a week! I'm not a fan of sweet things (I'm more of a savory tooth) but i love coming here because the treats i get are not overwhelming with sugar (although there are some selections available for the sugar lovers). The apple crumb cake/ pie is my favourite thing! its buttery and has just the right amount of sweet and tart from the apple! its just great! i highly recommend! just remember there is a minimum spend for credit card usage! read more

DaVinci Bakery opened last year and what a great addition to the neighborhood. Family owned and operated giving it that customer-friendly personal touch that's so hard to find these days. The owners live nearby and welcome their customers as old friends. The selection of baked goods is enormous! Bread, cakes, cookies, and pastries that look like little works of art. And everything tastes as good as it looks. In addition to the bakery, there is a small deli counter featuring delicacies, salads and sandwiches hand made to order. Get a coffee or soft drink and sit at one of the 3 small tables and enjoy your selection. Just delicious! Try it! You'll like it! read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I walked in today to pick up some dessert for my family, and quickly noticed all of my Italian favorite desserts. This place came highly recommended on yelp, and now I know why! Just walked into this bakery for the first time tonight as I needed to pick up a quick dessert for family dinner. I was pleased to find some variety other than the typical eclairs and cannolis (which I adore) because I was in the mood for something new. The owner was very warm and helpful and offered a sample of an Italian donut which is comparable to heaven. I ended up selecting a variety of mini pastries including a Caramel bomb mousse that looked picturesque I almost don't want to eat because it's so damn pretty. I can't wait to devour these treats and I'm sure I'll be back again really soon. read more

What a treat to have this place right down the street from me. Not only are their pastries and pies fantastic but they make the best sub sandwiches around. The bread is top notch. The staff is very warm and makes you feel like you are at home. Super clean and that's rare for a bakery. read more

Moist, delicious melt in your mouth cake! We ordered a birthday cake of chocolate cake, with chocolate mousse filling and a chocolate ganache topping with silver flowers. It was so beautiful. All the guests raved over the cake. The pastries are phenomenal too! read more

So far everything I have had from here has been delicious. Nutella cake and Carrot cake ...heavenly! Random pastries just as great. So dangerous have this place so close to home! Luckily I still have to drive to get there. ..if it was walking distance I would have been in big trouble.....went back today for the Italian donut...holy moly...delicious! I love DaVinci's Bakery, everything there is always so fresh and taste so good oh my God if you go on Sunday in the morning they make this big sugar donut it is awesome and also danishes one has lemon the other one is honey bun with cheese in the middle don't take my word for it go in and check the place out yourself pastries and cakes are beautiful and taste delicious the big donut and and those danishes are made especially on Sunday morning read more

My only complaint is the woman at the counter acts like you're bothering her if you order. Otherwise this place is great.

From the moment you walk in, you are welcomed with intoxicating aromas and warm smiles. You're in for European tradition of quality with a Nutley hometown embrace. While waiting for a sandwich to be made, I was offered a sample cookie and friendly conversation. The quality of their baked goods is top notch, but so is their creative selection. Outstanding bakery with a huge selection of treats that you can't resist. Very clean, well maintained, and Roseann (owner) treats the clients as family. I got the rainbow cookies, mini chocolate mouse swirl cakes, mini tiramusi coffee cakes, and the M and M cookies which were all outrageously good! Amazing bakery! Every time I walk in, I'm greeted so politely. I absolutely love their Fig Cookie, Almond Horn, Caramel Apple Cheesecake, and the list just goes on! I have yet to try everything because they have such a wide variety of pastries! The pastries are always so fresh and the bakery itself is very clean! New family run bakery in Nutley. I needed a loaf of bread, so I stopped there on my way home from work. The service was very friendly and the decor very attractive. Very tempting pastries were on display. My family and I agreed that the Italian bread was the BEST we have had. Will definitely be back! read more
